This is the place to express your point of view on the presidential election and to comment on how much George W. Bush is an idiot. And yes, I know some people don't live in the U.S. but this election really effects all nations.

It doesn't matter if I'm not American.  The American elections are almost as important as our own elections and are certainly more interesting.

Definitely Obama, I was a Ron Paul fan, but since he had dropped from the race I find Obama closest to my views. Not McCain, I don't want to see the draft started up again as he had mentioned. Although, I don't think that would happen anyways.

Not true. If the people discussing it aren't complete idiots and can debate without starting a flame war, then these threads are fine. Perhaps religion is one on that list that would be unfitting for debate(almost certainty actually). I find the rest of them very debatable subjects in which a forum can discuss.

so very true. But, if i may. If McCain decides to start up the draft again, it will be so that we might contribute to the war. When Hillary wanted to start up the draft (and the Democratic party may just do that) it was so that they might scare people that their little boys/girls would get sent to war, and thus totally oppose the war. So, one draft reason is somewhat, well, reasonable. The other is just a scare tactic. Personally, though, i was for Huckabee (and it wasn't because Chuck Norris supported him).

it doesn't look like hilary and obama are teaming up.. and if they are then their not doing a very good job of it... i orginally didn't like anyone that was running and i still don't... although i kinda think that if obama is president he is gonna get shot... because alot of people don't like him already... and mccain wants to start up the draft... which is dumb because we have no business in iraq anyways... why make it worse? oh and also i want to see which idiot starts world war 3 with russia... (i'm not talking about the candidates... but all the countries on earth).

Yeah so what? Just because the Bible says it's wrong that he's a "traitor" or whatever. Even though the Bible doesn't say anything about it because it didn't exist at the time. If you're going to say anything, well the Bible also says it's ok to sell your daughter into slavery and stone disobedient children. He has the right to believe in God, yet be against some thing in the Bible that are taken completely out of context if he wants to.

During the abortion the only thing alive about the child is that the "pack" of cells are growing. If it would be illegal to do it just because of that well might as well make hurting yourself illegal or anything involving killing cells because they're "alive". If anything, you'd be god damn happy that abortion is legal if you were a girl that just got raped and it made you pregnant. The only thing I don't agree with abortion is people having unprotected sex and then getting an abortion because they were stupid. It should only be ok if it's a cause of rape or you learn that if you let the child grow it could kill you or cause serious injury or something.

Wow, for the most part i actuallly AGREED with Mike on that. Btw, they did have forms of abortion way back when, just not our "abortion". For them, it meant making the woman ingest large amounts of alcohol as well as a lot of hard field work.

Oh, i just found the perfect picture for this.

You all have to remember that none of our votes actually count. Our votes decide the popular vote but that doesn't decide who becomes president. It's the small group of ass holes in each state called the electoral college that decide. So congrats! None of us have a say in who the next president is.

That and Russia really has no reason to attack the US. It's not like it's the Cold War anymore and the Soviet Union is trying to prove that Communism is better than Capitalism.

But now that I think about it, the US had no reason, other than the ones they invented, to attack Iraq. So if Russia ever does declare war, it will either be because the US attacked first or some fake excuse to give a reason for the US to attack them like they did for Iraq. Though this time the US will be fucked.

Wrong... The only reason he would create a draft is if another world war happened or w/e. So I doubt it.

Because it's nicer. But France is awesome when it comes to health insurance. Like here, it's free except they also have free medication and their service is amazing. They even have "take-out" doctors. You feel sick, you dial a number and within the hour a doctor arrives at your place. How awesome is that?

And your money is like you took the same bill, erased the number and slapped another one on it. Our bills are different colors so you can very easily know what it is just by looking at it so it's easy for people who have vision problems, including for the blind because there's braille on it. So if anything our bills > stupid american bills.

Oh yeah Obama doesn't have any experience, just like McCain's idiotic decision for his VP. If anything the world needs younger politicians. Almost all old people still live in the past and do decisions according to how it was when they were young so while younger people know what is currently happening in this world and what needs to be changed because a ton of things that were applied 50 years ago don't work today.

People with less experience in what they are doing tend to think outside of the box more often, think of new and completely original ideas for solving problems of every shape and form. Just think about it.
