Title: SUBMISSIONS ON HOLD
Post by: Jamaha on January 22, 2009, 11:22:06 AM
While I appreciate people submitting stuff to NSM, your efforts are kinda wasted at the moment.

The sheet uploading system is non-existant at the moment, therefore no new sheets can be added. I'll create a new uploading system some day.

Thanks.

When might the submissions be back online?

I too would like to know when you will again be accepting submissions.  "Some day" doesn't sound very... soon...

Indeed, it souds more like: on the day that the Holy Lord gives me a calm day to sit behind my computer and fix it. Which is never I guess

Well as long as it 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 or 2009, I suppose I could live with it ::)
I mean come on, can't somebody help you if you're so busy?

Post by: ALPRAS on January 28, 2009, 11:11:05 AM
Calm down boys!
Waiting until jamaha fixes the update thing isnt a bad thing at all.Until there, we can make a tons of arrangements and/or improve our arrangements.
Title: Re: SUBMISSIONS ON HOLD
Post by: Cobraroll on January 28, 2009, 12:45:04 PM
I hope that feature is back soon. Just give the guys enough time, and the first update will hopefully feature a huge batch of songs. Take your time, but do it properly, and the site will have a solid foundation to build further on when we're back to normal.

Post by: GreekGeek on January 28, 2009, 01:00:47 PM
Wow, Cobraroll, dude respect! How can you remain so positive ::) How many songs will that be  ??? A heck! But totally agree with you, take your time (although not too long ::))

It'll probably take some time, but he's usually pretty good at fixing these things...........and then dekudude breaks them ::)::)::)::)::)::)::)

That's like the coolest English phrase I ever heard :D. Beastly awesome, that must be great.
And ALPRAS, there comes a time that waiting is a bad thing. I mean, can't he ask somebody else who can do it too and has more time? ???
Title: Re: SUBMISSIONS ON HOLD
Post by: Jamaha on January 29, 2009, 08:38:42 AM
I'll begin working on it on 6th February when my exams end, that's a promise.*

*Promises can be broken in extreme cases of depression, rush, frustration and/or plain laziness. Most likely the laziness.
Title: Re: SUBMISSIONS ON HOLD

Okay, that is in fact beastly awesome of you ;D
Title: Re: SUBMISSIONS ON HOLD
Post by: mantis985 on January 29, 2009, 04:15:27 PM
Why not make a list of accepted arrangements and proofread them so when JaMaHa fixes the submission thing(provided there's no depression/frustration/laziness), that step is already done?
Title: Re: SUBMISSIONS ON HOLD
Post by: GreekGeek on January 30, 2009, 01:24:22 PM
That's a really good idea Mantis, but who accepts the arrangements?
Title: Re: SUBMISSIONS ON HOLD
Post by: blah54 on January 30, 2009, 01:48:32 PM
the mods do...
Title: Re: SUBMISSIONS ON HOLD
Post by: GreekGeek on January 30, 2009, 01:58:28 PM
Yes I understand, but are there any mods who want to do it? Because the forum brims with no-mods, barely any replies from mods I believe...
Title: Re: SUBMISSIONS ON HOLD
Post by: Brassman388 on January 31, 2009, 05:44:05 PM
Well...i would suggest that we could make a topic called the "Arrangement Repair\Peer Idit Topic" and have other members fix our arrangements, then have a mod reveiw them afterward.
So there's no fuss from the mods about not having time to fix and review arrangements, we as the members of this site, have already done so. That way, they can just aprove them.

I'm sure i can get to work with the help of the members of this site.
Title: Re: SUBMISSIONS ON HOLD

I can help...and I'm sure that there are others, too.
Title: Re: SUBMISSIONS ON HOLD

Well, I'll just post it right here then.

If anyone is willing to help in this little project of mine, The location of this project is in the submission thread. (which happens to be this one.)

I'll start getting started around next week or so...once again, due to my computer problems.

-sigh-    :'(
Title: Re: SUBMISSIONS ON HOLD
Post by: mantis985 on February 03, 2009, 06:42:31 PM
Why dont we go through each profile and peer reveiw each person's submission?
Title: Re: SUBMISSIONS ON HOLD
Post by: Brassman388 on February 03, 2009, 08:00:33 PM
You can do that, but if someone can't do it themselves, and want other opinoins...that's where they would submit it. It's just the convienece of having it in one spot.

Great news! Sorry if I've been a doubter (is that a word?). It will be great to see the site back, now all we need is a domain address that's easier to remember (I honestly have trouble spelling drshnaps)... but hey! We're on the track!

Now, on to polishing submissions, everybody!
Title: Re: SUBMISSIONS ON HOLD
Post by: musicguy360 on February 08, 2009, 11:58:41 AM
well, I found a url that would make sense but is not taken:

nintendosheetmusic.net
Title: Re: SUBMISSIONS ON HOLD
Post by: Cobraroll on February 13, 2009, 10:49:45 AM
Just wondering, how's progress?

Good luck fixing it!

And I support the proposed domain name. ninsheet.net would work too, perhaps.
Title: Re: SUBMISSIONS ON HOLD
Post by: Merlin on February 13, 2009, 12:46:27 PM
There are actually a lot of good names...
ninmusic.net
ninpiano.net
ninpianosheets.net
nintendopianosheetmusic.net

Everything's better than drshnaps... xD
Title: Re: SUBMISSIONS ON HOLD
Post by: GreekGeek on February 16, 2009, 01:50:08 AM
Totally agree. What do you think of
ninsheetmusic.nl (sorry, a little chauvinistic)
nintendosheet.net
nintendosheetmusic.net
etc.

P.S. How's the update process going?

Quote from: 4-D on March 04, 2009, 08:40:12 PMNice. I was just thinking how a lot of the sheets on the site need some work. Since this site has more than just Nintendo music (e.g. Halo, Final Fantasy 7/8, etc.), maybe the new domain name should be more general than "Nin-"

Do I understand correctly that this thread is about polishing the already posted sheets to be more accurate and such?

If so, I'll take

Chrono Trigger

  1000 A.D.
A Prayer to the Road that Lead & Manoria Cathedral
  A Premonition & Chrono Trigger
  Battle & Lucca's Theme ~Fanfare~
  Dome 16 Ruins
  End of Time
  Epilogue
  Factory
  Frog's Theme
  Marle Theme
  Moonlight Parade
  Morning Sunlight & Peaceful Days
  Robo Theme
  Sad Theme
  Schala's Theme
  Shot of Crisis
  Singing Mountain
  The Trial
  Village Theme
  Wind Scene

Obviously I'll put links up as I go

Do that in the " fixing the sheets project" alrighty. thank for the help.  ;D

This site may well need to be renamed something different from ninsheetmusic.net. Although I do agree, nintendosheetmusic.net would be good, and also people may find it from the advertising site if they went there and didn't know the new address.

It could be-

vidgamsheetmusic.net

-?

Get rid of the Nintendo part of the name, as we take sheets from other games now.  Problem solved.

(We could always use what you made as that April Fools Joke, JaMaHa :P)

vgsheets.net
vgsheetmusic.net

These are all available

I do think we should put 'Piano' in the name, since it will let our name show up more on search engines. And we only 'provide' for piano.
Title: Re: SUBMISSIONS ON HOLD
Post by: SirIngusBingus on April 16, 2009, 02:10:03 PM
Although that is true, our music is playable on just about any instrument. I don't really play piano very well; I generally play any music off this site on my sax. I vote for Nintendosheetmusic.net.
Title: Re: SUBMISSIONS ON HOLD

Yeah we should have a transposition guide.
Title: Re: SUBMISSIONS ON HOLD
Post by: SirIngusBingus on April 17, 2009, 12:43:07 PM
That mihgt not be necessary-most people using this site will be able to figure out how to transpose on Finale.
