While I appreciate people submitting stuff to NSM, your efforts are kinda wasted at the moment.
The sheet uploading system is non-existant at the moment, therefore no new sheets can be added. I'll create a new uploading system some day.
Thanks.
When might the submissions be back online?
I too would like to know when you will again be accepting submissions. "Some day" doesn't sound very... soon...
Indeed, it souds more like: on the day that the Holy Lord gives me a calm day to sit behind my computer and fix it. Which is never I guess
Perhaps, a date might suffice?
Date usually = When Jama feels like it, 2000whenever. :P
Nice, always glad to know, ya know?
Well as long as it 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 or 2009, I suppose I could live with it ::)
I mean come on, can't somebody help you if you're so busy?
Calm down boys!
Waiting until jamaha fixes the update thing isnt a bad thing at all.Until there, we can make a tons of arrangements and/or improve our arrangements.
I hope that feature is back soon. Just give the guys enough time, and the first update will hopefully feature a huge batch of songs. Take your time, but do it properly, and the site will have a solid foundation to build further on when we're back to normal.
Wow, Cobraroll, dude respect! How can you remain so positive ::) How many songs will that be ??? A heck! But totally agree with you, take your time (although not too long ::))
He's too busy getting all pruny in is beastlyawsome sauna to fix it!
J/K
It'll probably take some time, but he's usually pretty good at fixing these things...........and then dekudude breaks them ::)::)::)::)::)::)::)
That's like the coolest English phrase I ever heard :D. Beastly awesome, that must be great.
And ALPRAS, there comes a time that waiting is a bad thing. I mean, can't he ask somebody else who can do it too and has more time? ???
I'll begin working on it on 6th February when my exams end, that's a promise.*
*Promises can be broken in extreme cases of depression, rush, frustration and/or plain laziness. Most likely the laziness.
Okay, that is in fact beastly awesome of you ;D
Why not make a list of accepted arrangements and proofread them so when JaMaHa fixes the submission thing(provided there's no depression/frustration/laziness), that step is already done?
That's a really good idea Mantis, but who accepts the arrangements?
the mods do...
Yes I understand, but are there any mods who want to do it? Because the forum brims with no-mods, barely any replies from mods I believe...
Well...i would suggest that we could make a topic called the "Arrangement Repair\Peer Idit Topic" and have other members fix our arrangements, then have a mod reveiw them afterward.
So there's no fuss from the mods about not having time to fix and review arrangements, we as the members of this site, have already done so. That way, they can just aprove them.
Read his fine print. It basically means that this isn't going to happen anytime soon.
My....project?
I'm sure i can get to work with the help of the members of this site.
I can help...and I'm sure that there are others, too.
Well, I'll just post it right here then.
If anyone is willing to help in this little project of mine, The location of this project is in the submission thread. (which happens to be this one.)
I'll start getting started around next week or so...once again, due to my computer problems.
-sigh- :'(
Why dont we go through each profile and peer reveiw each person's submission?
You can do that, but if someone can't do it themselves, and want other opinoins...that's where they would submit it. It's just the convienece of having it in one spot.
Just an update.
The sheet admin v2.0 is halfway done. Should have it up and running next week.
cool! ^_^
Great to hear, thnx JaMaHa
yey :)
Hooray! :D
Great news! Sorry if I've been a doubter (is that a word?). It will be great to see the site back, now all we need is a domain address that's easier to remember (I honestly have trouble spelling drshnaps)... but hey! We're on the track!
Now, on to polishing submissions, everybody!
well, I found a url that would make sense but is not taken:
nintendosheetmusic.net
Just wondering, how's progress?
Good luck fixing it!
And I support the proposed domain name. ninsheet.net would work too, perhaps.
There are actually a lot of good names...
ninmusic.net
ninpiano.net
ninpianosheets.net
nintendopianosheetmusic.net
Everything's better than drshnaps... xD
Totally agree. What do you think of
ninsheetmusic.nl (sorry, a little chauvinistic)
nintendosheet.net
nintendosheetmusic.net
etc.
P.S. How's the update process going?
Well.
Computer decided to be a bitch today. Need to get it fixed before I can continue working on the upload script.
Good luck then xD
how's it been going? it's been a few weeks since i last checked NSM
Quote from: 4-D on March 04, 2009, 08:40:12 PMNice. I was just thinking how a lot of the sheets on the site need some work. Since this site has more than just Nintendo music (e.g. Halo, Final Fantasy 7/8, etc.), maybe the new domain name should be more general than "Nin-"
Do I understand correctly that this thread is about polishing the already posted sheets to be more accurate and such?
If so, I'll take
Chrono Trigger
1000 A.D.
A Prayer to the Road that Lead & Manoria Cathedral
A Premonition & Chrono Trigger
Battle & Lucca's Theme ~Fanfare~
Dome 16 Ruins
End of Time
Epilogue
Factory
Frog's Theme
Marle Theme
Moonlight Parade
Morning Sunlight & Peaceful Days
Robo Theme
Sad Theme
Schala's Theme
Shot of Crisis
Singing Mountain
The Trial
Village Theme
Wind Scene
Obviously I'll put links up as I go
Do that in the " fixing the sheets project" alrighty. thank for the help. ;D
This site may well need to be renamed something different from ninsheetmusic.net. Although I do agree, nintendosheetmusic.net would be good, and also people may find it from the advertising site if they went there and didn't know the new address.
It could be-
vidgamsheetmusic.net
-?
Get rid of the Nintendo part of the name, as we take sheets from other games now. Problem solved.
(We could always use what you made as that April Fools Joke, JaMaHa :P)
Quote from: Gamer4250 on March 08, 2009, 01:19:00 PMGet rid of the Nintendo part of the name, as we take sheets from other games now. Problem solved.
Kinda what I meant.
could we go back to .tk?
vgpianosheets.net
vgpianosheets.com
vgsheets.net
vgsheetmusic.net
These are all available
I do think we should put 'Piano' in the name, since it will let our name show up more on search engines. And we only 'provide' for piano.
Although that is true, our music is playable on just about any instrument. I don't really play piano very well; I generally play any music off this site on my sax. I vote for Nintendosheetmusic.net.
Yeah we should have a transposition guide.
That mihgt not be necessary-most people using this site will be able to figure out how to transpose on Finale.
You'll be horribly suprised by how stupid some people are.
Then lets give them a guide on how to do it in finale.
Exactly what I said, boy.
Oh, alrighty then. I was thinking you suggested a general transposition sheet or something. You said nothing about finale in your proposal, that's all.
Well sibelius might be useful too
Whatever floats your boat.
Please don't ever use that phrase ever again or I might just have to kill my pet dog. His name is muffins.
Whatever makes you sqeeze your knees.
Alright, I'm killing li'l muffins.
I hope you're happy.
Hahaha, I'm sorry, had to. Don't hurt li'l muffins!
Too late.
His brains are all over the kitchen.
NOOOoooOOO! LIL MUFFINS!

Can I have them?
...Don't take me seriously.

JaMaHa, do you have an estimated time of completion?
I had one....but not anymore.
Do you have a spare dog?
...I don't have one anymores.
Quote from: JaMaHa on April 19, 2009, 02:49:01 AMI had one....but not anymore.
You haven't started on the new one yet?
This slightly worries me...
^No, he said that he didn't have an estimated date of completion. He's surely underway, but when life starts to kick in, it kicks quite brutally.
I suppose...
Hopefully he's done something in the easter break.
Right?
Right Jammy?
Easter break? It's been vacation since the end of March and shall continue to be so until September.
I eagerly await the opening of the new site.

Plenty of work, den
Can I submit my sheets or is there still a problem with the upload script?
We still don't have a script, but if you make yourself a submission thread, we'll go over your arrangement and get it ready for submission when the script is finished. Don't expect any rush though...

I've already submitted a sheet, but no one comment/criticize my arrangement...
UNSTICKY!
FALL TO DAMNATION, TOPIC, YOU ARE NO LONGER WORTHY!
Err, whoops
*unsticky*
Oh, wait a second... never mind...
I'd lock this.

How can that happen if Tranz posts here and moves it back up?
