Hey Guys! I'm fairly new to this website so forgive me if I make any mistakes. This is my first time submitting a sheet. I also have a problem with adding copyright to my file. If any of you guys could help then I would greatly appreciate it!
Submission:
[GBC] Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal - "Violet City/Olivine City" - Kensho MUS (http://www.mediafire.com/?94awd559vm8ip35) MIDI (http://www.mediafire.com/?764c31w2jyw76y2) *revised
[GBC] Link's Awakening - "The Ghost's House" - Kensho MUS (http://www.mediafire.com/?4zzbxzv9mygf8tp) MIDI (http://www.mediafire.com/?ehhzl3d6j6dtr7u)
First of all, welcome to the Ninsheetmusic Forums! :D
It's great to have more Pokémon arrangers here! Yay!
For the Copyright, you can just make a new file and copy/paste everything into it, cause with the space at the bottom of the sheet it is quite small, so it would be best to do that
(and your violet city/olivine city sounds just like mine, except mine's in the Key of Db instead of B... but they're basically the same, right!)
You should go to the off topic>introduction thread and introduce yourself too! ;D
Defnitely introduce yourself! Hahaha.
Uhm. His is in the right key haha.
Yeahhh definitely introduce yourself. This sounds and looks great.

Opps, I meant Db!
Hm. His has less accidentals. Though the two keys are related, I think his is more accurate. Kinda fills in the lines a bit more too.
true. and there are more expression marks! (im just too lazy to put those in).
overall, its a pretty good arrangement. I downloaded and saved a copy!
Wow thanks a lot guys! Here's the "complete" version. I managed add the copyright and necessary info in the very bottom of the first page. If there's still something wrong I need to change, then please notify me! Thanks!

btw, can anyone help me make a midi file out of it please? My version of Finale Notepad won't let me export midi.
just when you save as, instead of saving as a .mus file, press the button to change it to .mid... the drop down bar is usually found next to the save button
For some reason, my version wouldn't allow me to do so.
you're using a PC, right?
What year are you working off of? Some of the way early ones don't have that feature.
Yeah, I'm using Finale Notepad 2006. It's a pretty old version
that wasn't even a capability until Notepad 2008. You need to upgrade to either Notepad 2008 or something else that you can get your hands on (Finale 2009/ 2010 perhaps... if you know how)
it's nice that you want to put everything from the source material in, but perhaps you should leave some parts of it out.
I know, I've played the piece myself and I found out that some things are pretty much impossible to play. I'll try to tone it down a bit and upload a midi file as well.
There, I revised it
I'd hate to be a damper on your revisions, but I have some across a few revisions that would make for easier reading:
1) Beginning at measure 13, you can change the key signature from B to D, thus saving a bunch of accidentals from happening
2) You could fix your enharmonic tones to fit with the key signature (Db to C#, Bb to A#, etc...)
You dont have to fix these if you don't want to... just some suggestions!!
I would if I could but apparently, I have no idea how to change a key signature mid-measure without transposing the whole piece to that key
Nevermind, I managed to fix it. If there's still anything wrong, please tell me. thanks

here's how I would arrange it. compare with your version.
Sorry, but I don't think some of the notes are really that accurate. Although it does sound fairly easier to play than my version.
arranging for piano for me is to make it playable and (hopefully) fun . of course i'm not going to make it so different from the original that you can't tell what it is, however if I can change a few notes around to make it more playable I will.
yeah I guess. But it's too late to have my arrangement updated anyways.
It's never too late. I'm pretty sure the updaters only look through the submissions just before an update goes up. And even if an older version does get accepted, you can always post a new version in the next update and the existing version will be replaced. :)

that existing version being mine ;). I personally like this arrangement better UNCHANGED... it's still pretty playable by my standards!
your version doesn't have enough bass+tenor in it for my liking.
that's simple! just play it an octave lower... haha.
