you walk to the organ and your teacher is playing a piece. He asks you "quick name the composer" and you wait and listen then say
"there's a little Bach in there... but"
"nup wrong try again"
*listens*
"vivaldi"
"why do you say vivaldi?"
"the chord progression reminds me of his orchestral music, like L'estro Armonico"
*stops playing, flicks to front of book*
"It's the 3rd Concerto from Vivaldi's L'estro Armonico arranged by Bach..... wow nice work."
You know you're a music nerd when...
you're the first one to finish a 75 question exam on the string instruments, make a 100, and in 8 minutes.
your teacher watches you using Mario Paint Composer in admiration.
when you get a prize in a talent show for playing Ultimate Koopa and you and your dad had to set up the 15-pound, disassembled keyboard on the stage before the show started.

Going over music theory.
"Can anyone tell me what the relationship between the Aeolian mode is in regards to the Ionian mode?"

Once my music teacher wanted to check if I am really good at music and she let the choir sing a chord. It was a D major chord and I heard that, she was angry and didn't talk with me the whole lesson.
:D
...Why was she angry...?
She was really upset... I don't know why xD. But it was hilarious^^.
You know you're a music nerd when you thank your music teacher by saying "domo arigato mrs rubato", and everyone laughs...

When you're playing the song someone's singing/saying multiple times. It's funny...
Once in class someone said something and I played the sound when you die in SMW. Oh, they laughed XD
I remember in middle school chorus (two or three years ago), our class had to do sight reading for a festival.
We had a minute or two to review the notes....
I was the only one who sung, and we got a good grade on it! :)
You know you'r a music nerd when you play a song from Luigi's Mansion and figure out that if you play the chords a little faster You'r playing the flying cap theme from super mario 64
You know you're a music nerd when you're listening to "You Are a Pirate" from Lazy Town and realise the last chorus modulates up a semitone and rage because it annoys you (hate when they do that) to everyone's confusion.
Haha, yeah, I always noticed that. Such a ridiculous song.

You know you're a music nerd when you run a music website. Sadly.
Speaking of which, who made this site? I haven't really been here that long and I haven't figured it out yet.
Love the pirate song, 'specially when you type in "lol limewire" into Google Search and click "I'm feeling lucky". :P
