I will have all of my arrangements in progress in this thread. :) I will focus on music from the Kirby series at the moment. Please, feel free to edit these and give suggestions. I don't have the best ear (though it has improved over the years thanks to my musicianship courses lol). These will be in .mus format because it can be edited that way. If anyone wants it in a different format such as .pdf or .sib, or some other format, then let me know. <:
Here is a current list of my arrangements in progress:
kracko battle theme (https://dl.dropbox.com/u/64104328/kracko.mus) (layout currently being worked on)
welcome to NSM, hope you enjoy your stay :).
Rest Point
Measure 4 I would change the flats in the right hand to sharps.
Measure 5-8: there's a key change to Eb(3 flats Bb, Eb, Ab)
Formatting:
you need to put "composed by" instead of "composer" and separate the composers by a comma instead of an ampersand. you also need to remove the semi-colons.
there needs to be a metronome marking at the beginning. if you can't do it with your program, simply use the text tool and notate it with something like "quarter note = 84" and an updater or another member will add it for you.
there needs to be copyright info at the bottom.
the format goes like this
"developer/publisher/or composer © year of release" and then put the site url below that "http://www.ninsheetm.us"
hope to see more.
I wanted to avoid double posting, so I removed my previous message. Again, thanks a lot. I uploaded the edited version of the sheet music. :)
Here is my advice:
Separate the melody line from the accompaniment.
Apart from that, it's an easy transcription.

Heey I was actually working on that. I do realize I need to separate the melody. At first I couldn't figure out a way to separate the melody because I am still a noob with finale...but HOPEFULLY I did a better job with this. Here it is with the separate melody. :)

You can decide which is better, though I personally do prefer it with the melody shown.
It looks better now :)
I think, if you submit it, they will accept it.
I made yet another arrangement from another kirby game! This the music of Rainbow Route or Forest/Nature area which is in the game Kirby and the Amazing Mirror. :D

Your left hand is, er, static and simple. Perhaps you could vary it a bit more?
Yeaah...I do realize the left hand is very simple, but I'm afraid that is the only way I can do it. The bass is actually like that in the music...so not much really goes on in the bass. I wanted the sheet music to be directly from the actual music...unless you want this to be a sort of remix. :P The middle voices that you do hear...is something that the left hand will not be capable of playing unless you have reaaaally long fingers. I'm a pianist...so I do make sure that it is also playable.

Unless you have suggestions and information about this music I'm unaware of. D:

Yes, harmonizing the piano arrangement is one way to make it sound richer.
Quoteor add another voice to the bass.
If you want to, than do it :)
QuoteThis music is very melodic...so not much really goes on in the bass. I wanted the sheet music to be directly from the actual music...
As you can hear, this piece isn't written for the piano. So you need to arrange that piece to make it sound good on the piano.
You could add the rhythm of the drums, for example.
Quoteunless you want this to be a sort of remix. :P
Well, a remix is something different than an arrangement ;)
QuoteRef: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JzpZvY-nSw8
That brings back memories...
QuoteEdit: well...listening to this again...I may have an idea to vary the bass, but only for the last 2 measures. :P If it works, I'll upload it.
Okay!
Note: These things are only
suggestions, so please don't treat them as if you have to follow them.
Rainbow Route
I think it sounds fine the way it is. Generally, it's best to have one part simple while the other is more complicated. In this case the bass helps keep tempo.
have you considered putting octaves in the bass? It may or may not enhance it, but it sounds fine as is if you decide not to.
measure 11-12: personally, I would remove the B and A from beat 4 of measure 11 and the octave G's in measure 12 and leave the quarter notes in.
formatting:
composed by should be bolded.
arrangement by should be italicized
put quotes around the title of the song
game title needs to be italicized
double check with this (http://www.ninsheetm.us/smf/index.php?topic=481.0)
Well....I think I had all possible complaints about format so I should have no problem when I arrange another music. xD Anyways, I have uploaded the edited files with the correct formats. I have also removed the unnecessary notes on measure 11 and 12. I took the advice and I think I prefer it that way after listening. I left the bass the way it is because...I think this music is good enough with a simple bass.
I have also fixed the "Rest Point" music from Kirby Super Star, so now the music have the correct format. xD

Okay!
If you think it's good than leave it like this :)
aaaalrighty...I finally got to work on another music and here is the result of my progress:
http://www.mediafire.com/?x9mf0766fkse016
this is the music of Melody Town from Kirby's Epic Yarn. :)
There are chords that I'm very skeptical about...especially measure 33 and 34. I'm currently working on the dynamics because that is a little hard to tell. It's almost ready though. :) I love this music~
Hey! I made this one too! :D [MIDI] (http://dudeman.camoyoshi.x10.mx/Melody%20Town.mid)[PDF] (http://dudeman.camoyoshi.x10.mx/Melody%20Town.pdf)
haha we pretty much both got it. xD Oh but hey, you totally got most of the chords I was having issues with. 0= I may just go with yours. What program did you compose in? I find the layout very different. lol
It's a free program called MuseScore. I only use Finale for making the MUS because MuseScore is a bit more user-friendly.
Sorry for bumping the topic, but I much rather keep this in use. Anyways, I have edited Melody Town so the rhythm should be easier to read and hopefully the dynamics and articulation are close.

It's still in progress but hopefully I will finally have this up. xD Also...I'm thinking of arranging Lava Landing because I've been waiting for an arrangement so I can play it. xD If anyone is working on Lava Landing from Kirby's Epic Yarn, I would like to know. :>
I made another arrangement of a music from Kirby's Epic Yarn~
It's the Kracko Battle Theme! Yep, it's that extremely short yet catchy tune. I never realized the music was in 8/8 until I listened to it in a slower tempo with audacity. O.o Or well...it just makes more sense in 8/8.

Winter where is your elusive arrangements page?
Probably like 4 pages back xD
I have not added anything to it in a while... Guess I should've added Jabu Jabu's Belly.. Hmm. I suppose when I finish Lava Landing, I'll post it in my elusive thread.
I've had lava landing done for months. Plus, I had it in the "In-Progress" thread.
I don't get what's the hold up for Lava Landing. O.o That is a super easy arrangement and I've been expecting it to be up for MONTHS. I will continue to arrange more music from kirby's epic yarn though. :)
I'm hoping that my arrangements will be done when the fixing sheet project emphasizes on kirby music.
It'd been up a few months ago, but due to lack of updates...yeah... I can pm it to you if you want.
Oh that'll be nice. :)
Edit: I JUST found Dudeman's official thread with the arrangement of melody town...hmm well I don't know what to do. O.o

I don't see it in your thread. In fact, I see nothing in your thread. I guess I won't do it then. I was almost done though.

Edit: Didn't see your post there, TDT.
I see that you have the word Lava Landing with a line through it, but there is no arrangement. I was hoping to look at the arrangement itself.
I had also already looked in the "In Progress Thread" before you both decided to link me to it.
Oh, now I remember why I didn't decide to arrange Lava Landing myself. xD I saw it on the In-Progress topic II a loooong time ago. Was hoping it would have been up a while ago, but this site haven't been updating much. (Thanks for the sheet btw, Olimar.)
Anytime. :)
I edited Melody Town once again. xD

It's really hard to figure out certain chord because of the piano sound. I'm planning to put my kirby music up all at once, so it's gonna be while before I plan for it to be on the main site. If you guys have suggestions, please let me know. :)
Next is Weird Woods!

It sounds pretty good to me.
Apparently, someone reported that I was infringing copyright on mediafire when I posted my arrangement of Kirby's Epic Yarn melody town...so the file has been deleted. So yeah...is there any other place where I can publicly post my documents like on mediafire?
I am rather disturbed by this. >.>

Alright, I'll give that a try. :) Thanks!
That's really outrageous :/ I hope none of mine have been deleted.
I've had a couple of mine deleted for the same thing. They let you know when they do (email sent and a little popup when you go on Mediafire while logged in).
Oh, I just want to say that I'm alive once again, and that I'm currently editing "Melody Town" and "Kracko Battle" from Kirby's Epic Yarn! Yay for summer break! :D I can't afford summer classes so this is even better. :3 After that, I'll get to work on "Weird Woods" because I love that piece.

I AM STILL ALIVE. I apologize for constantly disappearing. xD I transferred to a music school and I've been so busy. I'm gonna switch from music education to piano performance so I've been working hard toward my audition piece. My end of semester jury will also be my audition. Yeah, that's my personal story.
Anyways, the links above are my arrangements in .mus! The chords are tricky to find out, so would be nice to make feedback. I will fix the layout, so that's obviously something that needs fixing! So yeah, I would appreciate opinions on the chords. I am hoping to have these two published (if it not has been already). I'm gonna try to work on one arrangement at a time for now on. ^^;
You should put all your arrangements at your first post, so that people won't need to go through the pages to find them. :)
^I agree. Just edit the first post every time you have a new arrangement. Also, good luck with that audition :)
Alright, I have edited my first post! I just found out that melody town has already been done. Wow, I've been gone for too long yet again. lol I only have the kracko battle theme up for now. Since thanksgiving break begins today for me, I can get some work done. xD
