Is there a way to make alt codes appear in a text box, or to enter one in as a custom expression? I need the pi symbol "π" (Alt 227), but every time I enter it in, nothing happens. Is there a way around this?
Type the symbol into something like Microsoft Word and then copy-paste it into Finale.
Nope. (didn't paste anything when I pressed Ctrl V)
Edit, In the expressions tool it pastes this: p
It would seem only 2012 would be able to insert the symbol directly because of unicode support.
Does printmusic have the graphics tool?

If so, perhaps you could put in the symbol in an image program and import it into finale?
I've tried that before(unrelated to this topic)and it's usually a pain to work with, but until I upgrade I'll have to make it work... Thanks though.
