Blue text? It's on site.
Many thanks to spitllama, Olimar12345, Bespinben, Shadoninja, Zunawe, & Jompa for their help, suggestions, formatting, and critiquing! You guys are the best!
Hope you enjoy these arrangements, and don't forget to give me feedback!
Oh, and I use MuseScore to write the pieces, so the MUS may be a little funky. :P
Follow these (http://www.ninsheetm.us/smf/index.php?topic=481.0) steps to a T.
...I thought I did, what's the problem?
Well, just looking at the pdf's, these are the errors:
Wind Waker-Title:
-Subtitle and arranger need to be italicised. (No arranger present)
-Composers names need to be in two lines rather than across the entire sheet. Also they need to be in bold.
-Bpm needs to be present(with "Peacefully)
-Bottom of the sheet should look like this:
Nintnedo © 2003
http://www.ninsheetm.us/
and all sized to 10.
OK, thanks Olimar! I'll fix it.
Be sure to apply these fixes to the others as well! :)
dropbox is better than mediafire. apart from that, great job! definately better than mines. ;)
Thanks Maestro :)
All arrangements have been reformatted! Thanks to Olimar12345 and spitllama for pointing out the errors!
Next in line:
Meet Zant (Twilight Princess)
Ganon's Puppet: Zelda (Twilight Princess)
Gohma: Phase Two (The Wind Waker)
Sweet! I love all of these games and have beaten them all! Keep up the good work.
I LOVE Kalle Demos. By far one of the best songs in Wind Waker. If you need any help with that piece let me know! I look forward to your transcription.
Thanks Spit! Wind Waker boss music is easily the best in the series.
Molgera
Gohdan
Jalhalla
So awesome!!!
Couple new things.
1. Switched from MediaFire to Dropbox. To everyone who said it was better: you were right.
2. Threw together a couple Ocarina of Time ones for fun.
3. Added Meet Zant from Twilight Princess. Critiques especially on this one would be appreciated.

Well done. However, I checked your links, and instead of linking me DIRECTLY to the file, it brings me to a page on Dropbox where I can download it, which is cumbersome. When you post links to your files, instead of copying a web url, go to your Public folder, click on a file, and select "Copy public link", then paste that link here in your post. By doing that, you directly link the file to the link. Like this - [EXAMPLE] (https://dl.dropbox.com/u/35209091/Zelda%20-%20Ganondorf%20Battle.mus)
Snap. Oh well, thanks Bespinben. :)
Umm... I was looking at your OoT arrangements, and I noticed you arranged "Inside Ganon's Tower". I'm sorry to inform you, but not only have I already arranged that song myself, but it's also on-site too.
I know. :) It's fine, wasn't planning on putting it on site and hijacking yours, I just wanted to arrange it and thought I'd post it here.
Not to mention yours is better....
Added the Puppet Zelda battle from TP. This is definitely the most intense arrangement I have done yet. I need feedback, particularly on the accidentals.
Just thought you should know, all of your links besides the "Puppet Zelda" links are broken. Can you fix that?
*facepalm*
Thanks for telling me. Yeah, I'll fix that.
EDIT: Fixed.
Added "Save Ilia" from Twilight Princess. <3 easy songs.
@ Bubbles and K-N, Game Demo & Come to our Town are still in the works.
Hey all!
Now that we have submissions up and going, I was wondering: Can anybody who would like to be my best friend forever format my .MUS files so that they conform to the guidelines? Can't do much in NotePad.
Pretty please with a cherry on top?
Now that I finally managed to get Finale, I'll be happy to do it. I'll pm you the links as I do them.

Wow, glad you got Finale! And thank you SO MUCH!! You're the best!!!
EDIT: Shado already did Byrne, Isle of Songs, and Meet Zant for the update, so you don't need to do those. Thx again.
For Inside Ganon's Tower, did you want any special endings? I just looked at it and it seemed to repeat a part once. I just want to know if there's anything special you might need for any song.

Ya know, just leave Inside Ganon's Tower alone. I might mess around with it later, but it's not nearly as good as Bespinben's arrangement and doesn't really matter.
Okay, everything except what Shado did and Ganon's Tower should be fixed. Or at least it looks better. The xml did some really funky things with your tempo markings. You may have to change some of the text, but that's nothing you can't do in Notepad. If you need me to fix anything else just ask. I get bored too easily.
I arranged something not from Zelda?? :o This is new!!! And I did it in two days!! New record! Please take a look at
Eternal Bond

from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn! Epic song!
Also, formatting is off (again) in the MUS. If anyone with the full version of Finale would like to be my best friend like Zunawe was last time and help me with formatting, that would be GREAT. Just pm me if you want to take five minutes out of your day to help. If not, please critique at the very least. Thanks y'all!

Thanks Zunawe! Can I ask one more favor, actually two. 1) Can you put in the tempo as quarter=135, Grandioso 2) Can you give a starting dynamic of mp? Thanks again, you're the best!
Fixed. I shrunk it a little to make it less crowded with the heading. It should be fine. If you have Notepad you should be able to put in dynamics. Just saying.
*facepalm* Duh. sorry about that.
Critiques, anyone else?
EDIT: Zunawe, did you put the tempo marking in?
I was listening to your arrangements for fun and noticed a couple things. Not meant to be comprehensive-- just what was obvious to me at the time.
The Fairy Queen
On measures 6, 10 and the like, do you hear the 4 notes on the second and third beat (of the original)? I think those would really add to the arrangement if you included them.
Beedle's Shop
Needs more staccato in the melody.
Isle of Songs
Measure 20-- flip the stems so they don't overlap (use selection tool and push the L key)
Measure 28-- might wanna check accuracy on that right hand
Thanks Spit. Is it possible to save a file as a PDF in NotePad?

I may have accidentally saved the wrong version over the right one. Sorry. I'll fix it in a little while.

I feel like you should do something like put this in the original post of everybody new's arrangement thread.

from Super Smash Bros. Brawl! Critiques would be greatly appreciated, everyone always seems to avoid my page. Also, the xml transfer was once again limited by NotePad, so if anyone wants to make my day and tidy it up, that'd be great! Thanks!
That is very good!
My critique is that you should tidy up the notation from 27 to 51 - and by that I mean, you should assign a "swing"-expression (and do the necessary magic to make everything go as you want it regarding the playback), and then remove all the ugly "-3-"-things at every couple of notes (of course, that doesn't affect triplets..).
^I would definitely do it for you if I could!!!!
But I can't open this file in my PrintMusic 2009, and NotePad 2012 doesn't have that "necessary magic" to make the playback go flawlessly, so I can't :-\
^I'll also add that nothing you have done is wrong, not at all - this is totally correct. BUT, there is another way to do it that isn't absolutely crap to read. And that is by simply stating "swing", and that's enough.
And then there is that about how one measure suddenly takes up an entire system. I know that's not your fault, and that it is the xml transfer...
I don't even know why I'm pointing this out, you obviously already know ;)
Oh gosh, that one measure is so annoying.
And I would have done the swing. I'm not sure I can with NotePad. Anyone know for sure? Lemme fiddle around with it a little....
Quote from: TheZeldaPianist275 on March 28, 2013, 04:23:48 PMOh gosh, that one measure is so annoying.
I found that if you do some trial-and-error in MuseScore with the "line break" symbol-thing in the "breaks and spacer" toolbar, you can fix most measure size problems. You just have to find the right spot to make a new line.

You do realize it's the MUS file, right? Not the MSCZ.
^ Yeah, I know. If you mess around with the line breaks and then transfer the xml, it should fix the mus.

Sorry, but you definitely can't do it with NotePad :/
I would've done the magic tricks for you if only I could open it in my PrintMusic. They are quite complex if you want
every staff to follow the swing/straight exactly
where you want, so I am 100% sure you can't do it.
I am actually sorry I brought it up, but I didn't realize you used NotePad - I thought you had a better version, because you had a BPM-expression assigned at the beginning, which you normally need a better version to have. So sorry, just forget it.
And about those "one measure takes up an entire system"-things:
Something that has
always worked for me is this:
You just simply edit
something in that measure. Just move a note up and down, for example.
This
should fix the problem! But idk, maybe something bugged from the xml is preventing it?
What about using a 12/8 time signature for that section?
That could work, but a better version of Finale is still needed to change time signature. You will probably also need to assign a new tempo mark, and that requires a better version too.
There's also the issue:
I have experienced many musicians to be ignorant of the /8-signatures, so at least I am trying to avoid them while arranging, but that's not really a big issue though.

No, I'm not ignorant of it. That's actually a really good idea Deku.
But Notepad.... >:(
I'll do it next time I'm on the computer. Send me a reminder PM if I forget (which tends to happen)

I'm very rusty, so I would appreciate feedback. In particular:
1) The first two measures of just percussion. Any creative ideas for that?
2) I'm not as confident as I'd like to be in the run in measure 10. If someone sees an error with it, feel free to point it out.
Tear it apart, guys.
Hey hey! Another Sunshine enthusiast! That's always cool to see. Uh, while you were absent, the formatting guidelines received a huge update. If you'd like, I could fix it up to those, and I could send you the template.
Lol, I was kinda concerned about that. If you want/have the time, Professor, you are more than welcome to fix it up and give me an example. Thanks for the offer!
And yeah, Sunshine's great.
Righty-o! I'll fix it up when I next get the chance (probably later this evening, actually!)
