Title: Export Audio Changes Playback Speed
Post by: spitllama on June 24, 2012, 08:44:44 PM
On Finale 2011, I've been going to MIDI/Audio --> "Play Finale Through Midi", then using File --> "Export to Audio File" to make a .wav file of the playback. However, I noticed that one of the .wav files I've created has a different playback than what Finale does.

To be more specific, it's only the very last measure. There is a rit. set on measure 126 which goes till the end (measure 128). However, as opposed to the Finale playback, the .wav playback changes measure 128 to a SNAIL's pace. It's so odd, especially since measure 127 is played correctly. Any ideas? I've tried exporting again, using "a tempos," and even an accelerando with no luck.

Record using audacity, export as a wav or even an mp3 file?

That's exactly what I ended up having to do.

Have you tried copying the music to a new document and then exporting the audio?

Yah it still came out screwy. I guess 3rd party solution is the way to go :/

Try clearing the midi data.

Edit->Clear Selected Items...
Check "None" then "Midi Data"

Then try exporting the audio and see if that fixes it.
