Hello, everyone! I am going to start a spin-off series from K-NiGhT's amazing "The Great NSM Pokémon Adventure!" it will be strictly (unless otherwise noted) about Eric and I traveling through my newly created region of Alyos (basically, Alaska) and our misadventures after K-NiGhT's adventure. I won't be starting this for a while, so this is just a quick heads-up about it's impending creation.

We will be traveling through the region, following the path of the gyms, and fighting crime! I'll also be taking any suggestions you may have for the story...but leave the naming and placing of things to me. Unless I ask...there are some cities I just can't think of names for.

Any questions? Ask away! I'm uber excited about this.

Also...sheikah...I have a hand-drawn map (it's VERY rough) of what I would like the map of Alyos to look like, but you are so much better in the map-making program than I am. If you have a chance, could you perhaps be able to make one for me? I'll take a pic of what I've got and give you any information you need. (lets hope he reads this *fingers crossed* )

I've got a great thing going! I've gotten the first few episodes planned out (but not written), and I'm also going to re-draw the map I have, and make it more readable, so Sheikah, you may not have to make a map of Alyos after all.

Shadowkirby drew an awesome logo for the series, and that along with the map should be up within a couple weeks, if my dad can scan said papers for me.

UPDATE:

I am currently in progress on Episode One (titled SAVAGE, spoilers! ;)). But in bigger news, I am currently adding more and more landmarks and other things to my region that are (get this) based on REAL-LIFE LOCATIONS in Alaska! Which I undoubtedly think is the best part about Alyos and my story in general. It's also going to make writing it so much more fun, too!

Haha, Reapr, it's not canon, no, but my hometown in real life (North Pole) is technically where Santa lives, and so I figured I could include Santa in my story, and talk about how Ash and his friends coincidentally traveled to Alyos but didn't know xD

Hahaha...Alyos actually existing...lol you're right in a sense that practically everything is based on facts about Alaska...I might even include Sarah Palin somewhere... ;)

So, nothing big, I've updated a bit of the soundtrack (http://www.ninsheetm.us/smf/index.php?topic=4669.msg175401#msg175401), but currently I'm working on something I feel that I should have put out a while ago:

A descriptive post (probably in the first post of this page, like K-Night's) that encompasses pretty much everything I've delivered so far; Links, images, location descriptions/explanations/location PICS (yes, that's right, I'm posting actual images of these places- some may be fibbed, but you won't be able to tell, now will you?), The soundtrack listing, and probably a lot more. Definitely the map when I finish it. If I finish it. I can't stop adding so many things to it...There's SO much to explore. OMG.

There is much to look forward to! I most likely won't continue work on Episode One until I finish the aforementioned post. Sorry :/

NEWS!

I have mapped out the Seasons of this series, so now I know how far this story will go. Each season will have an arc, or an underlying plot line that will carry throughout the season (like in shows such as Doctor Who),  so be watching for them and see if you can figure out what they are!

I'm afraid I cannot reveal the developments of the plot, or the arcs, because they give away WAAAAYY too many spoilers that I guarantee will be well worth the wait. Trust me.

Route 17.^^^ Be sure to look at the listing vvv to see what tracks I've already used. I've had a tough time deciding on what route/etc theme to use for it. It's the LAST TRACK!Nice profile pic, by the way.

Other than that, I also did a major update of the Soundtrack (http://www.ninsheetm.us/smf/index.php?topic=4669.msg175401#msg175401), even finalizing most of the landscapes! Say hello to our resident Volcano, Mt. Totter, as well as our local nature preserve (besides the Safari Zone), Normany Fields, with it's famous peak, Velidan Mountain! There are many more changes and renaming, and once I figure out what to do for Route 17, I'll have to force myself to retain all current songs, so that I don't drive myself (or you guys) insane. I think I can verifiably say this- The Soundtrack (http://www.ninsheetm.us/smf/index.php?topic=4669.msg175401#msg175401) is complete! Everything is in order of how Eric and I will come by it in the story, so you can easily follow along. I am planning on creating a playlist on my YouTube Channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/TheKMaster96?feature=mhee) of each song, with a backdrop of a real-life picture of said location/song. Should be cool.

Another thing is that Shadowkirby and I have chosen our teams for the upcoming series, and I do believe it will be a wild ride. I'm also working very hard on the location descriptions that I will include on the big post I mentioned is coming last month. Things are going quite smoothly! Today, I should hope, that after I finish some homework, I might do some coloring on Concept art, and maybe have that up later this week! :D

On another note- those drawings I finished have been done since the day after I posted that...my dad has failed to allow me to scan them yet :( Will be up soon, though. Don't worry. There's even a few subtle references to Gen 1 just by looking at the characters, too! :D

yes, folks, we did a large discussion over the last period, and planned a lot. I am quite excited on the progress. While nothing is apparently going on, there has been much discussion and debate behind the scenes. I'm still working on prepping the descriptions, the youtube clips, and even the SOUNDTRACK needs to be remodeled! but, in result of that, shadowkirby has offered to compose something to use in replacement of our themes! sooo....other than his sekrit project, that is moving along.

I'm not promising anything to be posted anytime soon- there's a lot left to do. One of my biggest snags I've found is that I still haven't decided on an Elite 4 roster yet... ::) So there's THAT...but the tension is building, as I can hardly wait to continue on this would-be masterpiece.

Patience is a virtue. :)

Don't get too excited, everyone. I was slightly exaggerating any plans for march...I don't think it's quite fair to make money off you guys for merchandise for a story that hasn't even been written yet...I told shadow to keep it simple...don't expect much to be accomplished, because I really don't think either of us will have much time for this...I was mostly joking, anyhow.

What are your thoughts? I would never try to make money off you guys, but if we supplied it, would you buy merch like this?

Although this sounds like a neat idea, and I wish you luck in your future business (merchandise-selling, to be specific) ventures, I am unsure whether or not I personally would buy the merchandise.

Perhaps this could be series two of official NSM Merchandise?
Series one could be based off of NSM in general, and The Great NSM Pokemon Adventure. Would that be more exciting to you guys?

Ok guys, I need suggestions for the final song on the soundtrack. The champion battle theme.

There are a few limitations:

•it has to be a battle them from the main series games.
•Cannot be one already listed
•Sounds similar to Looker's Theme (Suspension of Disbelief, if you will)

If anyone could suggest some things, because then I could get a move on to making the YouTube videos that will be placed in the appropriate places.

I just didn't feel like it was fast paced enough, nor did it feel as big and bad as I'm wanting the theme to be. And on top of all that, it's from a Pokemon battle, not a trainer battle. The Rival battle was too much involved with the plot of BW2...the rival theme itself tells the story of the rival and why he's angry at team plasma, and I felt the battle theme did a similar arrangement. So I didn't want to use a song displaying someone else's story in a tale that had no relation. Does that make sense?

I myself had considered the team Aqua/Magma leader battle, but I had doubted its potential, and for a while, it sounded a bit empty. But every time I listen to it, I feel a sudden rush and my blood starts pumping, so I'm giving it another chance. Another reason I had doubted it is because the elite 4 teme I chose (Battle! Frontier Brain (Sinnoh)) is so epic, I didn't think I could find one to top it. But I guess it doesn't need to top it- it needs to capture the feeling in looking for.

Hooray! The soundtrack is officially complete! It's been growing for so long, but it has final come to a whopping total of 78 songs! (mostly because I got lazy and stopped thinking of different tracks that could be implemented into the story) I'll update this with a link soon. Also, thanks to bubbles' design of a logo, which I need to display soon, I will continue my work on the YouTube playlist for this soundtrack. I've also made some excellent progress on the location descriptions.

Summer is approaching fast up here. As of today, Eric and I have 2 weeks and 2 days of school left, and it my summer goes according to plan, I will have plenty of time to write and bust episodes out as fast as I can. If I'm lucky, I may even be able to do one a day. Let's cross our fingers.

I know, I know, when is the story coming out? I don't know. My official excuse is because I'm waiting for The Great NSM Pokémon Adventure to finish, but my real reason is that I'm just lazy and busy all at the same time. It's all in my head and in notebooks, planned out, I just need to kick myself into gear.
