I don't use tumblr because social justice warriors scare me. It looks like a lot of people on there are really chill, but that vocal minority is so toxic that I just steer clear of the site as a whole. And speaking of them, was anyone else following the 4chan tumblr war? Who do you guys think is to blame?

Part of me wants to believe that the more extreme "social justice warriors" are just trolls. Either way, you can just choose not to follow them, if my understanding of tumblr is correct. And 4chan is geeeenerally to blame. There was a time when Anonymous and 4chan actually had a good standing, but I've visited /b/ recently, and it just seems kinda pathetic now. Especially the continued hatred for Reddit, and all of the "le" jokes involving it. I just don't understand the antagonistic competition between members of such functionally different sites, and 4chan is frequently the instigator.

I'd agree that 4chan is becoming a more and more boring place to be as the days go on, but I wouldn't place reddit on a much higher pedestal. The hive mind as annoying if not more so than the repetitive reddit-hating threads on /b/.
I think a bunch of the SJW's are trolls, but at least half have to be serious for that phenomenon to have continued and not just died out. I wouldn't blame Tumblr as a whole for that section, but that doesn't excuse SJW's for doing what they do.
4chan is generally responsible for these stupid wars, I'd agree, but I'm interested in what people have to say on the latest incident.
