TWG: Knowledge is Power
A Super TWG designed Maestro

As your body grows bigger,
your mind must flower;
it's great to learn!
Cause Knowledge is Power! (//http://)

This is a 15 Player Super TWG designed by me, Maestro, and sponsored by Learners Anonymous. (Thanks Ted!)

Wolves:

Tyrannosaurus Debt (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGiXMIgBt2o) - Wolf - Debt collector - Each day phase he remains alive, he gains 0.5 voting power. (D1=1x, D2=1.5x, etc.)
Naughty Number Nine (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xt0Frq6bhNQ) - Master Wolf - 999 - If he is still alive when the player count reaches nine or less, Naughty Number Nine can revive a dead player if one exists, redeemable anytime after player count reaches nine or less.
Gravity (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHFtk6Si0Fk) - Wolf - Apple - Can drop an apple on one player each night. If Gravity is killed, all the apple holders are stripped of their powers and voting abilities. The players will be told they've been hit by an apple.

Humans:

Mother Necessity (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4OLWJ1TMuNE) - Seer/Guardian/Role Blocker - Necessity - Each night you will choose two targets, and both targets will receive either a guarding, a power block (both defensive and prohibitive), or a seering. If no action was performed, it will result in a seering on them. If they use a power, it will be nulled. It they are the victim of a power or a kill, it will be blocked.
Zero (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxYsgRsNg2s) - Human - My Hero - You can save one player from a lynching during the course of the game. The person with the next amount of votes will instead be lynched, etc.
Tax Man Max (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e83ycfrAUGc) - Human - Tax Day - He can choose one day phase in which each remaining human's votes count as 1.5x. He can either select the current day phase or choose a day phase in advance, but once he selects it is final. The power will still go into effect even if Tax Man Max isn't alive on the chosen day.
Rufus Xavier Sasparilla (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVSr4bsVIpM) - Traitor - Pronoun - The player can activate the power anytime and it will go into effect the following phase. During the affected phase, all players will be instructed to not use any proper nouns for any reason and the chat room will be closed for the duration (a practicality since I can't monitor you effectively). The only time you can use a proper noun is when placing a vote/wolfing/activating powers, and you can only do so once during the affected phase.
Lolly, of Father, Son, and Lolly (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vk_NIuvqOHQ) - Human - Adverb - Completely silence one player for a full day-night cycle. (Nx-Dx) They will have to totally cease any forms of posting, private communication, and will be banned from the chat during the duration. Lolly will need to choose a point in the future, at which time the affected player will be told presently of his condition. Indubitably.
The Conductor (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODGA7ssL-6g) - Human - Conjunction Junction - He cannot be affected by a power at anytime in the game. If he's targeted three times or more then he can choose to use one of the powers used against him, but he will die at the end of the phase.
Three (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aU4pyiB-kq0) - Human - Magic - Can disappear for one phase, chosen in advance, and will be rendered immune to wolfings, lynchings, and targetings, but you can still freely play, chat and vote.
Bill (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyeJ55o3El0l)- Human - Law - Can put into permanent effect one of the following: Cardflips at the end of each day phase; having the host post the official vote tally at the end of each phase as part of the update (i.e. the one I use when counting votes, with all the effected vote tallies from powers); enact Daylight Savings Time, extending two successive day phases by 24 hrs; or Veto one player's power after it is used (within a 12 hour window after activation).

The Comet Team:
The Earth (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOxO10XT8c0) - Rogue - Energy - For each human (non wolf or rogue) that is alive, he has X-extra hit points, meaning it takes X+1 to successfuly kill him. (Game start = 10 attacks to kill). Each phase the number is reset to match the current standings.
Interplanet Janet (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmYVWJ82dQQ) - Rogue - Comet - For each wolf that is alive, she has X-extra hit points, meaning it takes X+1 to successfuly kill her. (Game start = 4 attacks to kill). Each phase the number is reset to match the current standings.
Little Twelvetoes (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqGyUvZP0Zg) - Rogue - Home - Immune to KitBs, cannot be lynched if the vote count against him is a multiple of 12.

VERB! Each night one of the following is given to a random player for them to use if they wish. 25% chance of appearing:
N1 - Busy Prepositions - Always on the march, protects you from a power during night one, automatic.
N2 - Electricity - Powerful enough to brighten the dark when you need to see; it will display whoever uses a power or sends in a wolfing during the night at the time of activation (Within 1 hour before use and 30 min after use). The results will be displayed publicly at the end of the phase.
N3 - Suffrage - You can choose another player or yourself to have their votes worth double the next day phase (D3, 2x multiplier).
N4 - Elementary - It's going to rain children, a body double. The player who gets it will essentially have a decoy that will last during night 4.
N5 - Barter - You can trade powers with another player permanently. If they used their power or if it is pending activation it will not be restored, and vice versa if you already used your own power.
N6- Fireworks - red white and blue, a psychic power the reveals how many people on each team is left. The player using it can also choose a team to reveal a role still alive on a team of their choice, but not told the player's identity.

Normal win conditions (Last team standing) with the exception of Lucky Seven Sampson

TWG LXXIII: The Puppet Master

Wolves:
1. Master Wolf - Can destroy 1 puppet he owns to destroy all other puppets currently in the game during the night phase. If he does, the wolf team has to skip their wolfing for that night phase and the next.
2. Substitute Wolf – If he would die while owning a puppet, the puppet is destroyed instead.
3. Investigation Wolf – Learns the identity of all previous owners of the puppets he owns as well as the phases they owned them.

Humans:
4. Inheritor – Once per 2 day phases he can destroy 1 puppet he owns to inherit its power.
5. Guardian – Can target 1 player each night phase. If that player would be wolf'd or vigi'd during that night phase and that player owns a puppet, the puppet will be destroyed instead (if that player owns multiple puppets, the puppet destroyed is decided randomly).
6. Reviver – Can own up to 3 puppets at the same time. Can destroy 3 puppets he owns to revive one dead player during the night phase. Cannot revive puppets.
7. Human
8. Human
9. Human
10. Human
11. Human
12. Miller

Rogues:
Rogues are immune to wolfing or vigi'ing.
13. Puppet Master – Can paint a player each night phase. Can create a puppet that is not currently in the game during the night phase (two puppets if there are no puppets currently in the game), even if that puppet has been in the game before but was destroyed since then. That (those) puppet(s) will be sent to a random non-rogue at the end of said night phase. The Puppet Master will be notified which player(s) received the puppet(s, and who recieved which puppet). As long as the Debt Collector is alive, any puppet sent to the Puppet Master is sent to the Debt Collector instead. When the Debt Collector dies, the Puppet Master will lose its power to create puppets and gains all the powers of the Debt Collector (including the ability to own any number of puppets).
14. Debt Collector – Can own any number of puppets. Can target one player during the day phase. If that player owns a puppet, the Debt Collector will steal that puppet and that player loses his vote for life (when that player dies and is revived, that player will regain its vote). When the Debt collector dies, all of his puppets will be sent to the Puppet Master rather than being destroyed.

Puppets
Puppets are a combination between items and roles. They are represented by the anonymous TWG accounts. Their votes count as 1 unless stated otherwise. They cannot be wolf'd, vigi'd or lynched but they can be destroyed by a variety of powers. They are also destroyed if their owner dies, unless stated otherwise. Players can use their puppets to post or sent messages, but they are not allowed to enter the chat under the identity of their puppet. Each player can only own one puppet at a time, unless stated otherwise. Players can send puppets to other players during the day phase. If they do, those puppets cannot activate their powers during said day phase or the next night phase.
list of puppets
1. TWG Mario - Seer Puppet – Can seer a player during the night phase. 3 uses.
2. TWG Luigi - Psychic Puppet – During the night phase, can chose either Wolves, Humans or Rogues. Will be told the number of remaining players of that team at the end of the night phase. 2 uses.
3. TWG Bowser - Vigi Puppet – Can vigi a player during the night phase. 1 use.
4. TWG Yoshi - Reanimate Puppet – Can restore the power of another puppet during the night phase. 2 uses
5. TWG Waluigi - Backup Puppet – Vote counts as 0. When its owner dies, rather than being destroyed, will steal all remaining powers and all votes from all puppets currently in the game (including other puppets owned by its owner). Destroys itself after a full day cycle without owner. When that happens, the stolen votes and powers return to the puppets. Power cannot be inherited, but it can still be destroyed by the inheritor.
6. TWG Link- Time Control Puppet. Can instantly end a phase. Any actions performed before the activation of this power (including votes, wolfings, role powers and puppet powers) will still go through. 1 use
7. TWG Kirby - Mirror Puppet – Any power used against it or its owner is sent back to the player performing that action. If the action was performed by a puppet it will be sent to the owner of the puppet instead. Power expires after 2 uses.
8. TWG Pikachu - Martyr Puppet – Can sacrifice itself and its owner to revive one player. This power can be activated during any phase.
9. TWG Samus - Trance Puppet – Can put a player other than its owner in trance during any phase. Players in trance will be considered dead (doesn't count towards its team for victory conditions, can't vote, can't activate powers, can't be targeted by wolfings, lynchings role powers and puppet powers and any puppets it owns will be destroyed). It will be publicly announced if a player is put in trance. At any time, the player in trance can chose to destroy Samus. If Samus is destroyed, the player will be released from its trance. 1 use
10. TWG Fox - Medium Puppet – Can chose up to 2 puppets currently not in the game during the day phase. During the following night phase, its owner gains access to the accounts of those puppets in order to view their messages. However since they are not in the game, they cannot perform any action. 3 uses
11. TWG DK - Roleblocker Puppet – Can target one player or one puppet during the day phase. That player or puppet will lose all its powers for the following night and day phase. If a player is chosen, all puppets he owns will also lose their power for the following night and day phase. 2 uses.
12. TWG Falcon - Tribune Puppet – Can send in a tribune message of 200 characters or less to the host during the night phase. That tribute will be posted by the host at the end of the night phase. The tribune always ends with 'FALCON PUNCH!!' even if that would go past the character limit. Each time he sends in a tribune, he can chose to raise or lower its vote count by 0.5 (vote count can't go below 0) (bolded part cannot be inherited). 3 uses.
[close]
The game starts with no puppets in the game.

Wolves know eachother, Rogues do not know eachother.
Teams win by eliminating all members from both other teams.
Teams also win when it becomes impossible for both other teams to win.

Hmm, so no cardflips?
It just seems like it would take a while for some puppets to get out.  Maybe let the puppet master create a few more night 1?

No cardflips.

I guess you're right, but I also don't want to enable the Master to create too many puppet at once (because they help him achieve the victory condition). I'll change it so that the Master can create two puppets if there are no puppets in the game.

Quote from: NocturneOfShadow on December 25, 2014, 08:59:02 PMMarioparty: 007

Team Bowser(Wolves)
Bowser(Captain)-Whenever Bowser dies each other team loses a star and team bowser gets a star.
Bowser Jr.-Wolf
Koopa-Wolf

Team Mario(Humans1)
Mario(Captain)
Peach
Yoshi

Team Luigi(Humans2)
Luigi(Captain)
Daisy
E. Gadd

Team Toad(Specials)-Team Toad's votes count for zero.
Toad(Captain)-Guardian
Toadette-Vigilante
Toadsworth-Seer

Wolves win under normal conditions(equal or greater numbers to that of humans)
Unique to this game, however, is the win condition of the other teams.
You must have at least 2 more team members than any other team.  This is considered a human victory but the other teams don't win.

Game mechanics:
Vocabulary
STAR: Having a star will give you a handicap that helps you win (in other words, not lose) the next minigame.
EXILE: When a team loses a minigame, a random non-captain player is exiled.  This player essentially no longer exists and cannot be revived, spoken of, or thought of.  They cannot post or PM anybody anywhere, regardless of content (including in threads outside TWG).
Each night after the first at exactly the same time every night, each team will participate in a minigame such as "first team to post THIS in the 'Post Your Thoughts of the Moment Thread 2' wins the minigame!" or "Here are 4 cards.  One of them has a STAR, another has an EXILE.  Have your captain PM me with your card choice before such time to try to win!".
Idk I guess I'll just use this one

I'll join in any game that ends up happening, if it helps to fill it up.
Title: Re: TWG 73: Player Sign Ups

just keep adding human till it equals the amount of players ^_^
TWG 73: Curses!

1. Wolf
2. Wolf

3. Human
4. Human
5. Human
6. Human
7. Human
8. Human
9. Human
10. Human
11. Human
12. Human
13. Human
14. Human
15. Human

Gimmick: At the end of every night phase every living player has a 50% chance to receive a curse. Curses will usually hamper your ability to communicate or play the game effectively. Sometimes they're just silly though. :-]

Rules:
1. If you break the rules of your curse you will be god killed at the end of the phase.
2. You are not allowed to talk about how many (if any) or what kind of curses you have. Doing so will result in a godkill at the end of the phase. (This will be at my discretion to avoid loopholes, so ask for clarification if needed.)
3. Rather than what TWC would normally do abut edits, in this game they will result in a god kill at the end of the phase.
4. The wolf is immune to the first 2 rules (though, obviously, I'd still recommend following them so you look human.)
5. Chat logs are off for this game due to being impossible to moderator.
6. Curses apply to both PMs and the thread unless otherwise stated.

Example of curses (not actually in the game):

QuoteYou have received: Th Bst Curs

You must omit the letter "e" in all your posts and PMs.

QuoteYou have received: MLF/BDS's Curse

You must include at least 3 emoticons in all of your posts and PMs.

QuoteYou have received: Alarm Clock Curse

Your first post every day phase must be in all capital letters and state your current time. Your vote will count as zero against anyone who responds to said post.

For reference. (http://forum.ninsheetm.us/index.php?topic=5111.0)
I can give the wolf 2 wolfings (or one wolfing and 2 wolves) if you want, since 2 kills is standard for large manhunts like this. I figured the curse gimmick hampered human communication enough that it wasn't needed though.

ok so

  • With the amount of players that we have, maybe adding another wolf would be a good idea. 13 on 1 isn't a very good odd if you're playing as the wolf, and the game cna end day one.
  • I don't think accedently breaking a curse should instantly kill you, but instead it should go by a "three warnings" system.

I like what yugi is saying.  If you could make it not so "oh I'm gonna die right away" for the wolf then I'd go for it

1. So curses aren't enough to balance that out? Dang.
2. The problem is this games gimmick is "try to figure out who has what curse, wait for someone to mess up, if they don't explode boom you have a wolf." The double edged sword being how hard it becomes to communicate ideas once the curses start building up.

Proposed changes:
2 wolves
2 strikes you're out (these are announced publicly and wolves are no longer immune, this is to avoid the abuse.) I don't like 3 because it gives too much room to just randomly ignore your curses on the last day phase to say what you need to.

Sounds good?

YEAH, THAT SEEMS FINE, ALTHOUGH WOULDN'T THE TWO STRIKES SYSTEM MAKE PEOPLE IGNORE THEIR CURSES ON THE LAST DAY PHASE ANYWAY?

EDIT: whoops caps lock

Post by: FireArrow on January 05, 2015, 05:24:06 PM
It just makes it a little bit harder. You can't break 2 curses at once or something (plus the random god kills help balance the game a little.)

Quote from: Mashi on January 05, 2015, 01:15:58 PMNo idea how long Doodle and mariolegofan's bans are, but Hosts should make games for 12 Players for the time being.

Can't we just open the poll now and edit the game thereafter?
