Title: Jerry's Piano videos
Post by: Jerry_Appleby on January 14, 2015, 04:50:40 PM
Hey everyone!

I'm fairly new to the forums and don't post a lot, but I've been playing video game music on piano for a few years now! I love seeing all the new sheets being added to the site and I like to try to learn as many as possible!

I recently made a Youtube account! A few of my videos are only through Facebook, but the rest are directly from Youtube :)

ENJOY!! :D

Stuff recorded by me:

Banjo-Kazooie: Freezeezy Peak (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICAFnHBhuek) (October 24, 2016)

Love me some Mad Jack. So many octaves though, that's terrifying.
Damn, dude. Hell of a lot better than I can play. Keep em coming.

Did you say all of these arrangements were from our site, btw? It's always awesome to see people actually making use of our sheets; we can keep track of download numbers and everything, but to see them actually played really reaffirms the purpose of what we do, at least for me.

It's definitely a shame that our community performance project kinda died, and that this section of the forums is so inactive in comparison to some other sections. You're more than welcome on the rest of the forums! (Not that people won't visit here, but this board really does have a reputation as somewhat of a topic graveyard, save for a few notable exceptions. Maybe this'll be one of them :P) And hey, if you link to this page in your signature, a lot more people will see it if you post in other boards ;)

Creativity is of no interest, that's why. Just gonna bump this so I do not forget to check when getting home.

Wow. Looks like someone might finally be able to play Bespinben's arrangements.

Well Bespinben's easy arrangements are quite easy to play though

Obviously trolling.

@OP: Just listened to your stuff. Wish I could play like that. But that YouTube-video-quality almost killed me. The pain....

I'm not trolling.
N's Farewell, In the Hands of Fate, File Select, and Lavender Town are relatively easy to play. Maybe even Trainer Battle from RBY if you simplify it a bit(I can't play it note for note).

I don't have any vids of me playing piano, I have no idea what you're talking about.

You're a great pianist!! I kinda wish the quality was better to reaaaally appreciate your technique. Nonetheless, you sound great. :) You capture the style very well.

I'm actually trying to learn his arrangement of the Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire title theme right now. It's pretty tough, no question about it. But I'm getting there, I just have trouble with the last part when the key changes to the key of Gb I believe.  I prefer to learn "harder" songs, because I like them to sound as accurate as possible to the real thing.

And glad all the people here enjoy my playing!

Another one I'm currently working on is a song from DK Country Returns that I happened to find sheet music for just last week. It's fairly easy, I almost have it memorized!

The youtube one was from another site that I don't think exists anymore, but all the other songs I played were from this site. I sometimes add extra stuff to some of the songs if I feel they don't sound right, but all of the facebook linked ones are from here. A few I had to look up in the topics on the forum, and a few I found on the main site.

The newest ones I've added are Wario Land Shake It: Just Plains, and 2 Banjo-Kazooie songs: Freezeezy Peak and Mad Monster Mansion!  8)

I've also modified the original post to make things look neater :)

While right now isn't a good time, if you're wanting more Wario, request it & I'll move it to the front for you! Right now is incredibly busy -_-' don't get me wrong, I'd still try to get the sheet done, but it would take longer

I'm not in a rush for them so don't worry :) Plus I feel bad about always requesting random stuff on that forum since I don't have the skills to compose them myself  :P

New song added today :D

Pokemon Sun/Moon: Hau'Oli City (Night) (https://www.facebook.com/jerry.appleby.10/videos/vb.553760420/10154661866585421)

I only learned the song about 2 hours ago though, so it has a few small errors, but overall I'm fairly happy with how I did in that short amount of time :)

I added some new songs to my page here :)

I made a Youtube account at the start of the new year, so moved a lot of my songs over there, as well as added some new ones in the last few months!

Sonic Adventure: Windy & Ripply
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phxcTgrLYwI (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phxcTgrLYwI)

Sonic Adventure: Twinkle Park
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7mg9XTVHJ4

Casino Night/Mushroom City
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0szvL4Hhgg

The first 2 Sonic ones are songs I really love, easily some of my all-time favourites from Sonic Adventure!!! Twinkle Park sounds especially awesome :D

The last one was from a random music meetup at my university. They asked me to play a random gaming song or two, so I played a remix of Casino Night from Sonic 2 (remixed with some Sonic Generations stuff), followed by Mushroom City from Mario Kart Double Dash. I kinda messed up Casino Night a bit due to being out of practice and put on the spot, but I thought the Double Dash song went well :)
