I'm in doubt about buying Mario Kart Wii or Okami. Any suggestions on which one I should buy? Thanks!
Okami would be 2000000x a better choice.

Whatever. Having played neither, I won't offer a real opinion.
Mario Kart only got good reviews because it was a first party uberhyped title. It pales in comparison to a masterpiece like Okami.

Because Okami is better? Mario Kart is just another overrated game. I know this is hard for all the fanboys/girls to understand, but Nintendo doesn't make amazing games all the time.

I know that. I'm not obsessed with Nintendo. :P It's just that Xbox 360/PS3 doesn't have very many kids' games. I like kids' games. I'm a little kid at heart. ^_^ Also, in the past few years, I've only bought consoles from Nintendo, so maybe I'm missing out...but I have played Guitar Hero and Rock Band.

Maybe you're confused here...I think White Wolfos wants a good Wii game. from what I've heard and read, Okami is good on the PS2, not so much on the Wii.

I agree with Silence of Darkness. I've played both the Wii version and the PS2 version of Okami, and the PS2 version is superior. Mario Kart Wii is in no way overrated. It has awesome online, and great controls. It is without a doubt the best Mario Kart yet. They are both great games. If you have a PS2 though, then get Mario Kart. If not, then get Okami first, and Mario Kart later. They are both games that should be in your collection.
The one and only complaint I've ever heard is that the brush doesn't respond too well, but thats pretty small compared to the minor, but usually present lag on Mario Kart, a ridiculous amount of exploitable bugs, and too many racers on one track. I'd rather go and play Mario Kart 64.
To be honest, I haven't really tried Okami, but I have seen some gameplay on is, and it looks pretty good... for a 1 player game. But I own mario kart wii, and I love it. There is no lag when playing online, and there are 12 people playing on a track at once (this makes it really fun). It depends what you like more... a fighting game, or a racing game. But in my opinion, I'd go with mario kart wii.

Well okami seems like a zelda game. (The idea is kinda similar) I heard Mario kart wii has too many strong items.
Mario Kart Wii is very overrated. If you want to play a kart game, then just do what gamer said and whip out Mario Kart 64.
It's sometimes good to buy a game that people aren't so hyped up about, you might turn up liking it.

Because the Wii version is simply a backwards step from the other iterations of the series. Even the GCN game was better.
I'd definitely recommend Okami over Mario Kart Wii, if you have to choose for right now, but you should eventually own both, because Okami truly deserves way more attention than it has ever received. It really is a great game. Mario Kart Wii is very good at what it does, that's for sure.

I bought Okami for the Wii (thanks for the suggestions guys!) and I really don't see why PS3 Okami is better than the Wii's. I find it very easy to draw with the wiimote, and find myself asking how in the world this is possible with a controler like the Playstation's.
Also, it is insane how Okami is similar to Zelda (Twilight Princess, most of the time). I'm almost beating the game now, and every time i turn it on I see something related to zelda:
Heart Pieces = Sun Fragments, Issun = Midna (or fairy), Ammy = Wolf Link, larger wallet upgrades, Ink Bottles = magic power, moon/sun control, normal battles resemble the dark enemy battles from TP (you're closed in), Astral Pouch = Fairy (when you die, the pouch saves you)...
Maybe there's even more to the list. But, PLEASE don't take this as criticism for the game, not at all. I chose Okami over Mario Kart Wii, and it was a much better choice (maybe I'll buy Kart later). And since I am a fan of Zelda, I became a fan of this game as well. Thanks again for the suggestions!
Don't double post, it was a PS2 game, and it's the same genre as Zelda.

EDIT: And Okami came out before TP, so you can only compare it to older Zelda games.

I've never played Okami, but I'm not a brilliant Zelda fan, so I guess I won't like it as much.
I gotta say, I wasn't gonna get MKWii originally (having DS and DD and probably getting 64) but I read the review in ONM(English NP) and it looked good, and it is fantastic. Online is great and the controls are a LOT smoother than Excite truck.
However the idea of two guys on one kart from DD is good. Maybe a different wii version?

Having played the Ps2 version, I loved Okami and its one of my fav game of the generation. From what I played of Mario Kart, it mainly fun multiplayer but after a while that too gets boring
