Title: why final notepad for sheet music?
Post by: zaffogmt on June 03, 2008, 07:13:31 PM
I think it would be a lot easier to use pdf995 instead of Final Notepad because all you need is Adobe reader and go to pdf995.com to open the pdf file. Anyone agree? ???

because it's easier to edit, and some people's computers freeze from pdf files.

No, No, No!  We have no problem with NotePad, so why should we switch?  Besides 1 problem, it has been the most user-friendly, not-slow-down-the-computer-y, easy to use program I've ever used!  You can take any .mus file anyone has made, immediately listen to it while you watch the notes without opening up Windows Media Player or iTunes, and do whatever you feel like to it!  It also makes arranging easy because of the midi option and being able to immediately listen to what you've written
If this was a reasonable idea, we would have to re-learn everything about arranging and re-write over 1000 sheets.
NO!

P.S.  It's FINALE, not Final

PDF readers serves only one purpose, read pdf files.
With FN you can basicly edit anything and listen instantly, which I'm quite fond of.

I agree it would be nice to add pdf files, but it would require a bunch of work scripting all the new buttons and adding all the new files in.

Adding the button wouldn't be the problem. :)

I, for one, prefer MUS because they're so simple. Open it, and press Play, and voila, you can hear the song, as well as see the notes. I have trouble playing songs that I don't know the tune to, and though MIDIs can help, there are always a couple measures that are really weird, particularly when there are a lot of notes in the bass that are hard to pick out. MUS can really help, especially with playing back one specific part over, and over.

So, in short, MUS is better. It's fast, easy, and it works.

I use Noteworthy composer, for me Finale is weird....
I kinda like Noteworthy Better
In Finale, it pairs up really fast notes to look like chords... It's confusing

Stop reviving ancient topics to gain pointless post count.

I'm not trying to gain post count, I'm stating my opinion, thank you.
I don't care about post count.
I haven't even thought of post count until you mentioned it...
And how is it ancient? 14 days isn't ancient.

Okay, you can stay with notepad but can somene make the Super Mario World ending in pdf my computer crashes every time i try to download notepad. And here is a suggestion why not make a pdf and notepad copy of the sheets its would be easier for people to get the sheet and you wouldnt have to deal with difficult people like me.
