From what we've been using as a reference in the GSC Project, I think the title should just be "Ending."
"THE END" is a separate sheet. Together, they make the "Ending Theme."
Does that sound right?
Yes, "Ending" is the correct title.
And again, amazing sheet ::) I agree with all the choices you made with what to leave in and what to take out - makes a lot more sense than the one on site now lol - great job as an arranger!
Maybe add a fermata on the last note though?
All right! I fermatafied the files.
And thank you! I'm glad you agree with the choices.
Some quick accidental spelling fixes:
*M. 15 & 23 -- G# should be Ab
*M. 19 (beats 1-2) -- G# should be Ab (you actually have both spellings in the same chord, woops)
*M. 19 (beat 4) -- Gb should be F#
*M. 25 -- Gb should be F#
...and with that, you can fix the D major section accordingly as well.
Oh, and change the title on sheet to just "Ending".
All right! I updated the files. (See if I did everything right!)
Thank you for your help!
Check m. 15, 19, and 40 again ;D
Oh dear. I think I see my mistake in 15 and 40. What are you seeing in 19? (Sorry!)
(The files are updated with what I saw in 15 and 40.)
(Is Ben going crazy again?)
Edit in a musx file and I think we're all good!
OH WAIT could we put a crescendo at the beginning?
I added the crescendo! Thank you very much!
The NSM Panel never takes my musx, and I'm not sure why. So here's (https://www.dropbox.com/s/5g5q18xgn5i0rlp/GSC%20Ending.musx?dl=0) a musx file! Does that work?
I added in the musx.
Actually I'm listening to the song slowed down this time and noticed a few more things: (I apologize for rushing this; if you changed these deliberately or I heard something wrong, just let me know)
- Missing some grace notes in measure 3 and 29, beat 3 RH; 17, 18, 25, 42 beat 1 RH
- Measure 16-19: There's some more notes in the LH, I think it jumps up an octave on some occasions. Check similar passages in the rest of the song.
- Measures 37-40 should be an octave lower.
- Measure 35 LH: I don't hear the two D's there.
Wow, thank you for going to the trouble of doing that!
It sounds like I won't be able to hear all the notes unless I slow it down. How do you do that? It would be a big help for this arrangement and everything else I ever work on!
If you don't have audacity yet, do it. Load the song in there, go to like "effects" or something at the top, and find "Change Tempo". Then slow it down X% and voila.
Oh and if you're using a stereo track, you can split the voices like that too by sliding the L/R bar at the front of the track. Helpful for identifying specific notes.
Thank you! I'll try it! I think that will really help me from here on out.

Oh yeah you're gonna love it. It's so incredibly helpful.

I can listen to it slowed down now! I hear everything you suggested, and I added everything except for the grace notes in M. 3 and 29 (beat 3). I hope that leaving them out gives it some clarity.
(If you disagree, I can definitely put them back in!)Quote from: Latios212 on October 07, 2015, 08:41:22 PM- Measure 16-19: There's some more notes in the LH, I think it jumps up an octave on some occasions. Check similar passages in the rest of the song.
The bass line is so much more fun now, too. Especially in M. 19.
All right! See how everything looks.
EDIT: Oh, and here's (https://www.dropbox.com/s/5g5q18xgn5i0rlp/GSC%20Ending.musx?dl=0) another musx!
I noticed that some courtesy accidentals were MIA again in the MUS file. It should be good now, and I'll make sure to check for them every time I update the files from here on out!
Oh, and the MUSX in the post above is up-to-date!
At Latios's behest, I did an in-depth accuracy check of the piece. Here's what I came up with:
• Measure 2 RH: Beat 2 run should be D6 B6 G5 D5
• Measure 5 RH, Layer 2: Add an E-natural on beat 3
• Measure 21 RH, Layer 2: Beat 4.75 G-natural should be an F#
• Measure 27 RH: Beat 2 run should be D6 B6 G5 D5
• Measure 28 RH: Beat 2 run should be E6 C#6 A6 E5
• Measure 31 RH, Layer 2: Add an F# on beat 3
• Measure 54 RH, Layer 2: Beat 4 and 4.33 G-naturals should be C5 and E5, respectively
• Measure 55 RH, Layer 2: Beat 2 run should be F#4 A5 D5 E5
• Measure 9 LH: Beat 2-3 run should be F#2(16th) D3(16th) F#2(8th) A3(16th) D3(16) F#3(16th) A4 (16th)
• Measure 16 LH: Beat 3 run should be F2(16th) F3(16th) F2(8th)
• Measure 17 LH: Beat 3 run should be G2(16th) G3(16th) G2(8th)
• Measure 18 LH: Beat 3 run should be E2(16th) E3(16th) E2(8th)
• Measure 24 LH: Beat 3 run should be F2(16th) F3(16th) F2(8th)
• Measure 25 LH: Beat 3 run should be F#2(16th) F#3(16th) F#2(8th); Beat 4 run should be A3 C3 F3 F#3
• Measure 35 LH: Beat 2-3 run should be G#2(16th) E3(16th) G#2(8th) B3(16th) E3(16) G#3(16th) B4 (16th)
• Measure 41 LH: Beat 3 run should be G2(16th) G3(16th) G2(8th)
• Measure 42 LH: Beat 3 run should be G#2(16th) G#3(16th) G#2(8th); Beat 4 run should be B3 D3 G3 G#3
• Measure 51 LH: Beat 2 E3 should be an A3
• Measure 52 LH: Beat 4 run should be E4 G(natural)4 A5 C#5
That was incredibly kind of you to go so in-depth. Thank you very much! I listened to it slowed down and I agree with all of your points. I've updated the files. Here is an up-to-date MUSX. (https://www.dropbox.com/s/5g5q18xgn5i0rlp/GSC%20Ending.musx?dl=0)
I'm really at fault for notating this arrangement without slowing it down first. Now that I know how to do that, I hope to never make that mistake again!
Again, thank you very much!
Thank you both for taking the time to go over this arrangement to make it perfect! ^.^
Now, do I need to replace the musx again? Everything else is updated, I presume?
Everything else is updated, but the panel still doesn't accept my musx files. Sorry!
Thank you very much, too, Latios.
