You can add a Copyright symbol on Notepad, you just need to press a confusing pattern on your keyboard or go to a website that copies a symbol onto your computer.

I'm wondering, what changes did you make? It looks pretty similar to the one on site.

"pretty" similar... I don't actually see any changes at all to the music. @BrainyLucario is there a reason?

Looks like a formatting update, which is not enough to warrant and "edited by" section, as specified in the replacement guidelines.

Yeah. It's just a format update! I decided that while i'm grounded, I might as well still be useful to the site.

and Olimar, E. Gadd suggested that i put it on. I never really wanted to put it, so I'll gladly take that off!

If you're doing a formatting update you should fix the 2nd page titles accordingly:

"If your arrangement exceeds one page, it is required that the following pages have a mini title and page numbers. These should occur naturally in finale, but if for some reason there is an issue with them, they should be as follows:

Second+ page(s), mini-titles should be Times New Roman, Size 12, Centre Aligned. At the top of the page.
Page numbers should be Times New Roman, Size 12, and should be aligned in the pattern, Even Numbers Left Aligned, Odd Numbers Right Aligned. At the top of the page."

Also you can cut the pages down to 4 by resizing the page down to 90% and adjusting the margins.

If you have finale notepad, you cannot. If you have a higher version, use the measure tool, click on the measure and select which bar line to display. (Or right-click a measure with the selection tool and select measure attributes(iirc)).

WHY U NOT CLICK? (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/81425442/Portal%20-%20Still%20Alive.mus)

I don't think I'll be able to change the way the note stems are overlapping, Altissimo. For when I flip them, they cover the lyrics...

Perhaps not in Notepad, but in full finale there should be a spacing option to make that ... not happen. I'll play with it tonight if nobody else has gotten to it by then.

- Rhythm notation: Show beat 3! Measures: 13, 22, 29, 31, 32, 39, 48, 57, 58, 65, 74, 76, 78, 80, 82, 84
- Change beats 3 and 4 of measure 35 to a half rest
- Measure 81 - change to two quarter rests
- Lower the title and page numbers (and maybe the music) down a bit on pages 2-4 - it's too close to the top of the page
- Move the dynamic further away from the text in m. 60, 68
- Raise the rests in m. 86 to make it easier to see they're part of layer 2.

Ok so I fixed this, it was pretty easy. I also fixed some rhythm which you had spelled incorrectly. Here's the file: [ZIP] (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/24842881/Still%20Alive%202.zip)
Below are some examples of rhythms which are spelled wrong; you can see in my file how they are supposed to be spelled.

-Page numbers and mini titles are all over the place. Consult the guidelines.
-The huge line in 23-26 should be removed.
-You need to specify which parts are to be played and which parts are to be sung. For example, the first note in measure 23 is sung, but everything until beat three of 26 is to be played. Write something like "Play:" & "Sing:" above the sections as they change. Also, if these changes occur to beamed notes, break the beams.
-Withhold the key change until measure 16. (15 is a modulation)

I'm not sure if it's even supposed to be sung. I think it's more an optional thing since there are lyrics, or it could also be as mark to guide the performer to see where he is if he has heard the song.

I literally have no idea what Tobbeh means by this. Anyway, you use the same staff for things that are to be played and things that are to be sung, so make an expression that says "Play" above sections that are to be played, and one that says "Sing" under sections that are to be sung. Also, I would separate all sections that are in harmony in the top staff by layers, then have one layer notated to be played while the other sings (I think I'd put the upper one to be played).

There are still other errors that exist, and I will have to get to those later.

So basically you want me to write "Sing" above the sections where GLaDOS's lyrics are, and write "Play" where she's not singing, correct?

And you want me to make a whole new layer of the exact same notes so that they play while the person sings, right?

I haven't read much so I apologize in advance if I say anything that has already been discussed or shot down, but here's how I would handle the following issue:

What I would do, right, is make a third staff appear only where the vocal line exists. That way the vocal line has its own line, the piano is clear with its own line, and the vocal line doesn't take any more room than it needs. On top of that, I would use lyrics underneath the vocal line wherever it appears. Essentially you'd have a Piano/Vocal sheet in which the vocal staff is hidden when not in use. It's never been done before I don't think but I'm arranging a sheet now that does this very thing and honestly I think this is a solid solution to the problem. Thoughts?

(In case it needs to be illustrated, here is the sheet I was working on as a sort of model (https://db.tt/d05QLywa))

I think it's a bit overkill to add a third staff. I also think the vocals were added because the arranger "could do it" and because they were quite iconic for the song. I think it's with the lyrics written as they are, then you can sing the song, and play the accompaniment, or just play everything on the piano.

There is no such thing as overkill to a ninja. Other than that first part, I don't think I understand what you're saying. The lyrics to the song were definitely not just put in because "why not?"; they were most certainly deliberate from the get-go.

This arrangement seems to still need some significant work. I suggest working on it on your own (and with JDMEK, if that is still going on) before resubmitting it.
