Title: Guitar Tabs
Post by: Palagerini on July 01, 2008, 06:52:43 PM
i was trying to find some sheet music and i found these

http://www.tabcrawler.com/search.php?show=viewfile&id=298138&letter=S&artist=Santana&tabname=Black+Magic+Woman%2Fgypsy+Queen&tabtype=guitar+tab

and i know how to basically read tabs but there are some markings in there that i've never seen before (like for example the "x" s in there.) does anyone know what all the little symbols mean?

X = Dead note (muted string)
^ = Hammer-on/Pull-off (it's usually a curved line above both notes but you can't do curved lines in text)
/ = Slide
(note) = Ghost note
PB = Pre-bend
Full = Full bend
1/4 = Quarter bend
1/2 = Half bend
3/4 = Three fourths bend
