I should probably firstly state that I don't use Finale, I use Sibelius for my scores (I just like the way it looks and works better) so I apologize for the potentially crude .mus file. I did a conversion of a .xml file using Finale NotePad. I really hope to hear some feed back on this. I've been working on it for a while :)

Hello new poster! As a suggestion, you should post a video to the theme for comparison.

Formatting looks good, but I'm not entirely sure if full caps is allowed or not.

I haven't gone through your entire arrangement, but one thing that I noticed (honestly it's more of a nitpick rather than anything with merit) is that your right hand in piano I's dynamic with the double 16th C# note should have a decrescendo since the second note is struck softer than the first.

Otherwise than that, it sounds really freaking good!

Edit: So listening between the two, it does sound like in the Piano I right hand, it goes from an eighth top note, to two sixteenth bottom notes, then repeats. In your arrangement, you have it consistently sixteenth notes throughout. That might be a possible change you could implement.

Also in the last beat of m19 into m20, I'm pretty sure there's some sort of discrepancy in the chosen notes of your arrangement and from the original theme (right hand piano I still). I believe it's an eighth note followed by two sixteenth notes? It's hard to make sure.

From the video it would be the timestamp of ~0:44.

Good luck though!

Thank you for the welcome! I appreciate it.

I wasn't too sure about the all caps title, its just a habit I got into after making so many concert band and orchestra scores haha. I just think that "Deep Castle" doesn't look as nice as "DEEP CASTLE" on paper. That being said however, it is a very easy fix.

I agree with the rhythm dependencies in the R.H. of Piano 1. I feel like it would make more sense to have it written in 8th notes + 16th notes in unison and I think that I may change that.

Also the notes in Piano 1 at measure 19 are a little off and will be something I'll look at more (I may have made an error and never caught it lol)

Thank you for your input!

Also, once you have an updated sheet, you can just upload it again in your panel so you won't need to create a second submission.\

Good luck!

So I have made some changes to the sheet:

- Changed the title from "DEEP CASTLE" to "Deep Castle" and the subtitle from "From MARIO & LUIGI: BOWSER'S INSIDE STORY" to "From Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story"

- I decided against changing the R.H. in Piano 1 to 8th notes and 16th notes simply because it made it look way to confusing to read so instead I decided to make the echo in small, bracket notes with the instruction to play them quieter. It looks much better and accomplished the same thing.

- I also messed around with the notation in measure 19 (Piano 1 R.H.) and it sounds much better.

- Added some more text explaining how sections should be played (ie. quasi Harpsichord and quasi Celeste etc.)

Thank you for your suggestions! :)

It definitely sounds much better now! And m19 definitely sounds a lot more accurate.

Looking forward to see if/when this gets approved.

A few quick things:
Regardless of how good sibelius sheets might look, we strive for visual consistency here on ninsheetmusic. All PDFs must be made with finale and follow these guidelines (http://forum.ninsheetmusic.org/index.php?topic=481.0). Seeing as you don't have a full version of finale, you can ask here (http://forum.ninsheetmusic.org/index.php?topic=685.0) for help with that.

I sent my score in to one of my friends who owns Finale and she has converted it into a Finale PDF file, so that solves that issue. Are there any other criteria I may have missed and/or need to fix before my arrangement can be considered?

Your finale file needs to match the PDF, btw. The font, font size, and font style are all off. Also, we don't do chord markings here at ninsheetmusic

As long as they're correct, I see no problem in including chord markings. They're not in the way, they help the performer, and they can make it easier to rearrange sheets for other instruments/ensembles. It's been done relatively recently (under the current standards) before (like in this (http://www.ninsheetmusic.org/download/pdf/2483)).

I've changed all the fonts (most of the font sizes were correct to begin with. I'm assuming it was a conversion error.), and I'm going to keep the chord markings because they aren't hurting anything. Besides, if people want to use my score for whatever, it helps a lot to have the chords marked in especially if you play guitar or bass or don't know how to determine the chords yourself.

The only think I cannot do is satisfy the .mus file. :/

(I'm going to write a post in the suggestions forum to discuss the Sibelius/Finale barrier)

If you need help with .mus, Sibelius should have some form of "export as .xml" right? You could then download finale notepad for free and import that .xml file, change any conversion issues that might occur, then save as a .mus.

My apologies for my absence, I had other matters to attend to. If this is the case where I can't move forward with anymore suggestions to fix my music and I just need an appropriate file attachment, then comes the time where I need someone to convert my stuff from Sibelius to Finale. My conversions don't seem to appease anyone so I must ask for assistance in this regard. (This post will be copied to my other submissions as well)

My apologies for the lack of activity, but you can ask for formatting help here (http://forum.ninsheetmusic.org/index.php?topic=685.0). However, keep in mind that we won't do all the leg work for you. This is your sheet, and it is your responsibility to bring it up to the site standards. Granted, we'll help with what you can't do, but don't expect us to do everything. This applies to your other submission too, so I won't bother posting in both places.

Thank you so much to DekuTrombonist for your help in converting the files into .MUS files for me. I have finished tidying up and fixing many of the errors in the score. Please let me know if there are anymore issues in the score or suggestions :)
