I'm only beginning to play the piano again (after a... 35 year hiatus) and I want to be able to perform this piece. I have looked up many transcripts and this is the most accurate I could find.

In this source, in the first measure and lower staff, I can't hear the B in the first half note, and in the third measure/lower staff I can't hear the C either. Is my hearing deficient? Do you all hear it?

Hey there! It's been a while since I looked over this sheet so I can't guarantee it will be free of any mistakes (I or someone else can verify this later; busy at the moment). But the video you linked doesn't seem to be the original version of the song that the sheet's transcribed from. Try this instead - someone please correct me if I have the wrong version.
Yes, I know this version as well; the version I link to is from the HD remastered version and has better audio, which is why I linked to it ;)

The HD remaster doesn't just have higher quality audio, some of the pieces also have different musical elements so that's why you should go off the version that Latios used when editing this sheet.
I have just checked this and I can confirm that there is a B in the first left hand note. Also, the C is definitely there in the third bar as well.
In the HD remastered version it does sound like the B is not present in the first bar and the A is not present in the third bar. (So perhaps you meant the A rather than the C?) The sheet music on site is for the original version of this piece, not the HD remastered version; if you would like an accurate transcription of the HD remastered version that is not something that we have (however it's probably very similar to the original, with perhaps small changes like the ones noted above).

It does, yes. Now that I hear them both side by side, they are indeed different.

Well, I've taken the plunge and written down a sheet for the HD remastered version. It is in the MuseScore2 format (you should REALLY support it!) and it's on github: https://github.com/fge/at-zanarkand-sheet (https://github.com/fge/at-zanarkand-sheet)
There is also a compressed Music XML format. I don't use Finale, sorry... I have searched on the net for conversions from MuseScore2 to Finale and haven't found anything (yet?).
Moreoever, I have only been using MuseScore for 3 days and am not skilled in music writing at all... Meh. I can only improve. I rely on my piano teacher for that :p

Musescore (all versions) can export MusicXML files. (I prefer uncompressed versions because they're actually possible to edit with a text editor without screwing up.) Finale Notepad can import MusicXML files (with some formatting slops, so check your work afterward). That's how I've made my Finale files for submission.

I do prefer text too... I'll replace the MS2 file with the uncompressed XML version.
However I do not have Finale at all (and I don't have Windows either). It is reported to work with Wine so I'll probably check that out...
IIRC there is a free version called Finale Notepad or something like that, isn't there?

Yes, Finale Notepad is the free version, and it's what I use.

Even though this may be a stretch, can I ask you to try and fetch the lastest uncompressed Music XML file from my repo (link above) and see how it renders in Finale Notepad? Yes, I admit, I haven't even tried and installed it on my computer (which runs Linux)...
