You won't believe the time I spent listening to the entire soundtrack from every LoZ titles. Btw, I'm working on a medley as well for piano. Do you want me to make a string quintet also? I've been struggling with the piano arrangement due to physical constraints and limitations.
thx brian!!!!
ur awesome
actually i was gonna make this arrangement myself
just needed a spurt....
but thx for the offer
PS when ur done with yours can u show me id love to hear urs :D
Sure thing. You can arrange it, but if you try to practice that song on your er.. I forgot which string instrument you played, then you'll end up getting used to it that you'll have a difficult time adjusting to my arrangement (don't blame me if it's in a different key sig). I really would like to see someone perform my arrangement. Since it'll be exclusive, I'll PM you the sheet when it's finished.
ok thx
i dont know if i cant perform yours ill try but my ensemble is split up (1 violin/1 cello in high school, 1 violin in japan, etc.)
eh? so it's 2 violins and one cello? My arrangement is 2 violins, 1 viola, a cello, and a contrabass. Oh well... Go hire some people lol.
I think John Williams composed this, originally.
actually 2 violins 2 cellos
with an additional 2 violin 1 viola 1 cello version
john williams? what the heck?
According to itunes.
lol
no i thinks this is koji kondo except for the third song
i would like... no NEED that in a MIDI!!!! someone... anyone...
trust me i looked everywhere for the midi so itll make my arranging easier but no midi found
unless i convert it but... that is .... :P
Here's part 1 of my medley arrangement, and it's in mp3; You'll get the Mus once I finish everything but for now it'll be a sneak peek. I decided to make it Quintet + Piano. It sounds wonderful :P This has got to be my best work yet. Part 1 is only 1/6 of the entire medley.

That is VERY nice!
how long will it take cause i wouldnt mind taking it to my orchestra teacher when school starts
I would have also loved that...but I graduated, haha! And we had an amazing piano player that could have handled this no problem. But I'm in college now...and have no balls to take this to my professor...whom I haven't met yet... and I'm in a symphony orchestra anyway.

Very long I'll tell you that. If I had no school for the rest of the year, then I could get it finished sooner but alas, time is not on my side.
Can you perform something 20-30 min long? It's not that I'm afraid of exhaustion and fatigue and what not, I'm afraid of losing the audience if it drags out too long. I can always adjust.
i could always cut some and my orchestra can play that long we are crazy good for a hight school orchestra
awesome so far!
btw, when im done with mine can you criticize it?
sure, though I won't go into detail since I'm so busy.
Does anyone remember the guy who arranged orchestra piece #2 (twilight princess) for an orchestra? It was good, I thought it might be quicker to just use that. Don't know if he's still here or even looking at this post.
actually its going to take a while since im actually going to put some work into it XD
exactly how long would this medley of urs be?
about 20-30 min
Quote from: Brian on August 04, 2008, 02:41:18 PMI don't know about Notepad, but you need to have the mute/solo feature as well as the ability to change the instruments since it sounds messy if you play all 6 staves at once.
Yeah, it's possible. For those who don't know: Just go to Window-Instrument List. Near the top of the new page, you'll see a bunch of words. Below the word "Instrument," you'll see things such as "Piano 1" and "Instrument 4."
To mute an instrument, just click on te down arrow next to the "Piano 1" and hit the word "None." To unmute it, just figure out which name it belongs to. Or memorize it. It's not that difficult.
To change instruments: go to Window-Instrument List and find the list to the far right under "GM." Click on the down arrow and you'll have about 125 instruments. Thanks to B-KPianist for that little piece of info. ;D
Update! This will be my last update since I have to go back to college next week.
Great Fairy Fountain / The Goddess Appears
Link's Adventure Begins (First Time in Koholint)
