The name maybe incorrect, but since there isn't a track for it anywhere, I just used what I thought was a logical name for it.

https://youtu.be/MnB6AnIV7Ag?list=PLF19EDFAF6CC2CDA7&t=181 (ends at 3:09)
Again, since there isn't an actual track for it, an LP video was the easiest substitute. There is a guy who talks over it, but it is still (mostly) audible. If you need me to give a clearer clip of it, please let me know and I'll try something else. Thanks!

I couldn't find it here (maybe I wasn't looking hard enough), but this website (https://downloads.khinsider.com/game-soundtracks/album/tales-of-the-abyss-original-soundtrack) might provide it. It's got a pretty long soundtrack list, so it may be in there somewhere.

Thanks for the site, but none of them are the right one. I looked on vgmdb.net which has an even longer list, but it's not on there either. It's one of those short themes that aren't really enough to mention as a song (for example, the 1-Up in any Mario game). I would probably have to go through the game's data to see if there's an actual name for it, but I wouldn't know where to start.

First of all, thanks for doing a Tales arrangement! I'm sure you've noticed our Tales section is kind of lacking currently...

If you have the original game, you could always record this track yourself or rip the sound files if you know how do to that kind of thing. This video will suffice though.

It looks like you use NotePad, so some of these things you can't fix yourself. I'm going to list them anyway but we can fix those things later.

- Since the first 16th notes are a pickup, you just need that beat as a pickup measure. You don't need the full bar.
- The last measure is a bit inaccurate. RH should just be a whole note A. LH should be 4 8th notes and a half note: A, E, A, D, C#.
- LH would be better notated in treble clef because of its high range.
- The pedal markings should all be lined up horizontally so it looks even.
- Copyright year should be 2005 since that is when it was initially released in Japan, even if it was released in 2006 in NA.

Thank you so much for your feedback!
One of my goals for NSM is to add and strengthen the Tales music.  :)

I can send you a recording of the music, since I don't know how to rip files from either a PS2 game or a 3DS game. (I have the 3DS port of the game).

Quote- Since the first 16th notes are a pickup, you just need that beat as a pickup measure. You don't need the full bar.
Yeah, that's probably a Finale Notepad thing. I prefer to work on Musescore, so only having Finale Notepad 2012 (and all the limitations) make it hard for me muster up the effort to trying to re-write things in Notepad. I tried the Musescore template that someone made on the forum for easy translation into Finale, but the templates didn't work very well.

Quote- The last measure is a bit inaccurate. RH should just be a whole note A. LH should be 4 8th notes and a half note: A, E, A, D, C#.
Okay. I can fix that. That's just me being an amateur to arranging/composition.

I was debating whether or not to just put in treble clef. It was those lower notes that bothered me, though. I can fix that, too.

Quote- The pedal markings should all be lined up horizontally so it looks even.
I knew I should have done more. The hardest part is that I can't tell if I'm perfectly in line with the previous pedal markings. But, I'll do my best to fix that.

Quote- Copyright year should be 2005 since that is when it was initially released in Japan, even if it was released in 2006 in NA.
Whoops. My fault. Can fix.
Also, since there's no specified composer, was the one I gave it fine?

Yep, you're welcome! That's a good goal to have.

You can if you want to, but the video you posted is fine enough. I don't expect anyone here to be able to rip files, but I figured I'd mention it anyway.

From here (https://vgmdb.net/album/1908), Motoo Fujiwara, Motoi Sakuraba, and Shinji Tamura were the composers for this game, with Tamura doing the town, dungeon, and event themes. I think it's safe to say Shinji Tamura was the composer for this particular track.

In my dreams, I can. But I don't think that will help. I did, however, get an audio of it: https://drive.google.com/file/d/19PGPsSo_En0SimzqCCXnNFvl6LvJvSPb/view?usp=sharing (https://drive.google.com/file/d/19PGPsSo_En0SimzqCCXnNFvl6LvJvSPb/view?usp=sharing)

I totally missed that when I was looking on there! Thank you! I'll edit it right now.

Would you mind making those edits for me, please Static? I didn't realize just how limited Finale Notepad is. I can't even change the LH clef, let alone making the first measure a pick-up I don't want to bother you too much, but this is something that I can't do with the resources I have alone. (If you do edit it, thank you for your help!)

Yep, I made the edits for you (you can check them out in the OP). I did all the changes I mentioned above, as well as spaced things out a bit more, added the Namco Tales Studio to the copyright (since they were the developers; Namco is the publisher), and changed http to https to reflect the site's current address. With this, I give the sheet my seal of approval™.

Thank you so much for your help!
There was something about the pick-up measure that sounded off to me. Maybe I'm wrong (and I could very well be). Everything else was spot on, though.

I'm trying not be rude here, so if it's coming off that way, it's not my intention. I am really grateful for your help and fine-tuning.

Yeah, the left hand notes sound a bit strange especially the Gn. I can't actually hear anything from that voice at all in the original under all the noise. Are you sure there should even be notes there at all?

I don't remember hearing anything there myself.
It may have been the other song that was just playing in the recording.

In that case, I'll take 'em out for you and we'll be good to go then!
