Title: Trogdor!!!
Post by: PianoMan on September 02, 2008, 05:53:43 PM
Is there a place on the Homestarrunner site to download "Trogdor", or is it just available on the CD?

Please don't respond to this in a negative way about Homestar. Your post will be ignored.

I want to download Trogdor. My religion and conscience won't let me illegally download it, so I was wondering if they give it away on the site somewhere, or if I HAVE to get the "Strong Bad Sings" CD

lawl religious moron.  Just download it.  If you own Guitar Hero 2 it could be considered legal if you're really that worried.

Well, I don't. and Religious people are not morons, they are more intelligent than non-religious people.

Religious differences are the reasons behind most violence and strife in the world.

Now think on that for a bit.

The whole universe revolves around Earth, Earth is flat, men are the superior race of the universe, it's morally ok to sell your daughter into slavery and stone disobedient children.

Also of course the Bible predicted internet and Copyright laws so it says God doesn't want you to download music illegally.

Good job there making yourself look like a moron. Oh wait of course, religious people can't be morons.

I really don't want to argue on this because you'll just keep digging a hole deeper and deeper every time using yourself as a shovel and that stick up your ass as a handle.

Let's keep the religious debates out of the forums. I'm pretty sure Gamer and Mike that you both will survive if you can allow one more religious user express their views in ways you disagree. If you want to find a religious user to attack, find yourselves a religious forum.

How about you tell the others that they can survive if they can allow some non-religious people express their opinion in a way they disagree. If they want to attack non-religious people, they should fine an atheist forum.

Seriously I'm getting sick of how one sided this place is. You see stupid little religious remarks and when we say something about it we're the ones who are wrong because Jesus was on a god damn cross and we weren't.

Mike: You come to this topic to specifically bash him & his religion, and you still expect people to not be against your view? Seriously.

No I wish for people to stop doing such stupid remarks. Third post in the forum and already a stupid religious comment, only within a few hours. By the time I saw this topic he already did his comment. If it weren't for that, I'm pretty sure these forums would be a lot better and there would probably be a lot more members. Seriously finding a cool forum and before registering you notice it's full of Biblethumpers, people leave and never come back. There should be a rule, any religious comment would be deleted and the member warned and on repeated offense banned. And I mean ANY RELIGIOUS COMMENT. Including "My religion tells me I shouldn't do that" or even any similar to mine. Before saying "Well it's true according to my religion I can't do that, so how else would I say it?", well you have two options.

1. Say "I'd rather not do that".
2. Shut the hell up.

I can already see some saying "Well a lot of people are Christian/Catholic so things against it are offensive, why not just stop people from saying things against the religion instead". Well newsflash, not everyone is Christian/Catholic. There are a ton of other religions out there and some things YOU believe in are offensive to them.

No. You are the one who attacked him. People have a right to express their views, religious or not. As long as they aren't offensive to others. You just can't allow ignorance to exist when you can end it. What you're trying to do in your first post is break him through proving his religion as being ignorant for their beliefs. It does not justify your flaming towards him. If pianoman had engaged with trying to reflect what you(mind you are not gamer, so you can't use his post intended towards gamer as defense) said with his beliefs, perhaps you'd have a point. Pianoman intended to ignore anyone who tried to trash him for his beliefs. I'm not one-siding this argument, as I would agree with why you'd be mad and want to respond as you are. It's that pianoman has the right to express his views whether you like it or not, it is not breaking any rule.

Oh yeah ignorant of his beliefs, I fucking dare him to find me a passage in the Bible that says Copyright Infringement is a god damn sin. He could have simply said I don't support piracy rather than saying something that stupid. Might as well start inventing passages in the Bible and say you're ignorant of his beliefs.

Express their beliefs as long as they aren't offensive to others? Alright then from now on I'm part of this religion called "Haven for Non-Morons" and we find that any religion references are very offensive and our chart says people who do it should be stoned. You can't say anything against it because you're just ignorant of my beliefs.

What I can't use Gamer's post as a defense? If that's the case why the hell are you using Pianoman's side as your defense? Sorry but double standards aren't acceptable.

Quote from: Mike on September 06, 2008, 03:08:31 PMI fucking dare him to find me a passage in the Bible that says Copyright Infringement is a god damn sin.

What is Copyright Infringement?

QuoteCopyright infringement (or copyright violation) is the unauthorized use of material that is covered by copyright law

So basically, when you download music for example, you are taking away money from the artist. If you had bought the CD instead, then the artist is gaining the money that s/he worked for. You are, in essence, stealing that artists money when you download instead of buy.

Quote from: Exodus 20:15 // King James VersionThou shalt not steal
Quote from: Exodus 20:15 // NIVYou shall not steal

I can go across the Bible's, and I can confidently say that they all say identically the same thing.

But just as a side note, I personally am all for pirating. I'm quite a pirate, and I do it all the time. I just thought I'd show you this.

When you can find somewhere where it says that copyright infringement is the exact same as stealing from wal-mart, then we can talk.  However, it is not.

No, I never said you were ignorant of his beliefs. I said you were proving that his beliefs were ignorant through flaming him for expressing his ignorant beliefs in a way that you could not let pass. Never did I use religion as my argument at all, and if you read my post more carefully you would see that I was not siding with Pianoman but quite the contrary to what you claimed for me to have done. I stated that I agreed with why you were mad over what Pianoman said, except I did not agree with how you handled it. You have no right to trash him for his beliefs. Whether he is part of any religion at all.

I'm not biasing my argument with Christianity. If I were to say "I don't want do download stuff through torrents because they'll find out and catch me and I'll go to jail." It would cause the same reaction. Someone is stating something idiotic and making their belief bait for extreme bashing. This is where I come to my point that you could not let his ignorant beliefs go. You felt the need to bring justice to his ignorance by ripping him apart. Someone being ignorant does not justify flaming.

Entire point of my argument was that you're not justified in flaming him because his beliefs are radical and irrationally ignorant. If he had attacked you then perhaps you would have had the correct incentive to respond the way you did. Except not at all was any of it directed towards you and you made it your priority to inflict your response.

Copyright Infringement is not stealing. Copyright Infringement is creating a copy of something else without the consent of the creator. Stealing is taking something away from the owner without his permission. Saying copyright infringement is the same as stealing would be like saying murder is just like stealing, you're taking away his life.

Guys, stop the religion debates. It doesn't matter whether or not you're religious-- so shut up.

PianoMan-- are you looking for the video, or the song, in MP3 format? Also, I am not sure if the song requires payment or not. I found an MP3 by Googling, "Trogdor mp3" though I am not sure if it is "legal", per se. Any ideas?

Great job on contradicting yourself so bad. He said religious people are more intelligent than non-religious people. I'm non-religious, you'd be retarded if you didn't realize that long ago, so I take this as a personal attack towards me.

Well yes clearly that post was provocative of flaming. Fair enough you have your point, though never did I state that he too wasn't at fault, and it still does not justify flaming even if his last post there was a personal attack towards you(you decide make it so). Nevertheless, I must have overseen the idea of what he said personally attacking you, though already knowing you weren't religious.
