Instead of this being a thread, couldn't we give it a tab like the shop or the arcade? That way you'd have a bigger area for a map. Bigger map = More precise locations. You could use the members "location" on the profile, or you could just have anyone who wants to be on the map pm Concerto or somebody.
Just a suggestion.

1. I don't want to have to make something that big.
2. I dont' think people want others to know their PRECISE location.

because all the North Korean commies are madly and blindly in love with him (seriously, he and his father are like they're Jesus) and would immediate declare war on the entire world if he was killed. and also if any non-North Korean entered the country they would be killed, burned, mutilated, put on TV, then paraded around in front of the North Korean/South Korean border and then ripped apart by dogs. so, yeah...
I'm sure that anyone and everyone living in a communist country love it there.
Quote from: gamer4251 on March 16, 2008, 07:25:18 PMI'm sure that anyone and everyone living in a communist country love it there.
i was watching the news and some American reporter asked some North Korean lady "What is that?", pointing to a statue of their dictator in the city square and the lady got offended and said "No, no. It is not what, it is Who is that."
seriously, i think think they have problems
i say that because i was watching a National Geographic show about some American reporters in North Korea and that place is truly messed up. the reporter (who was staying with a family of commies because the hotels would tell the government and the Americans where there illegally, so...) asked this mother of a family why the North Koreans were so defiant to the rest of the world when they don't even have nukes anymore. and the mother said (this is not a quote, just a paraphrase), "it is because we love our Great General, and what he does we will do! we will fight all the capitalists to our deaths and even our children will fight with knives and guns! we would do it for love! for our Great Leader and our Great General!" then she starts crying and goes over to the picture of Kim Jong Il that every house must have by government law and starts bowing to it and keeps saying that they love him, that they would defend him, that it is their duty to die for him. all the other family members join in with the crying and the worshiping, and it was all very disturbing.
later the reporter asked, "what if what the Great General said was wrong? what would you do?" the family and the commie interpreter/translator just kind of looked at each other and were like, "wrong? Great General? what? he can't be wrong. what do you mean?" and that went on for minutes until the reporter looked at the camera, shook her head with sadness and disbelief, and gave up.

Great. Thanks to Mario Kart everybody now knows where I live. I love how Nintendo is so crazy about limiting everything with friend codes and the most fucked up chat system ever, yet they just show pretty much exactly where you are in the world. Idiots.

Whoops. forgot something.
I'm from New York City, but I'm 'purebred' Italian, and semi-fluent the Italian language.
Just curious, what's your avatar from?
'Tis the noble Sir Ingus, the fourth and greatest hero of Final Fantasy III. (Hence, my name.)
I knew it looked like something that came out of a final fantasy game. Which ones have you played?
I've played I, have II but haven't played it, III, half of IV, VI (my favorite), and I tried the one that's online (is it X or XI?) but didn't like it much. I also played the two most recent Tactics games and the first Crystal Chronicles game.
But hey Brassman! You just turned Hero Member at 502 posts!
Cool, now I have reached ultimate power! Now I can finally rule the world!!!
Other than that, I've played VI, VII, VIII, X, and X-2(not good at all). I absolutely love Nobuo's Music.
Yeah, he's awesome. My only complaint is that his music usually isn't as memerable as Koji's.
But then again, Nobuo writes mostly for RPG's, so it shouldn't be.
That's mainly because he writes like as if he's writing for a film score. His works are very intense in a sense of theatrics and color. That's why I like him.
Koji is very iconic, but repeatitive. That's my only complaint of him.
Nobuo should write for a movie sometime. I would go see it no matter what the actual movie was.
Final Fantasy VII Advent Children, Perhaps?
I only played Final Fantasy IV and XII. I think I might have played VII once before... ages ago.
You should play VI. It's the best one in the series, hands down. There was a rerelease a few years ago, on the GBA. If you've got a DS, you shouldn't have any trouble finding a copy and playing it.
Then right after that, you'll have to play VII, which is also good.
Yeah I was thinking of getting VI for GBA, but I'm gonna get Metroid Fusion first. I really gotta play that.
Sorry, but FFVI is better than Metroid Fusion. By a lot.
Not if yer a hardcore Metroid fan.
...No, it still is. Sorry.
Wait why are we talking about this in the "Where do you come from" Thread?
And have you even played MF?
Yeah. Awesome game, but as you can see <----- I'm a pretty huge FF fan.
Uh huh.
Yup.
Indeed.
Well Touhou still beats everything.
Even Panel de Pon :3
MF is good, but unfortunatly... FF is better. Yamamoto does an excellent job, but I would rather prefer Uematsu.
Were we talking about music?
No, the music in MF is utter shit, apparently... the music in SM, and MP, however... KICK ASS
I'll have to agree.

hahah! I've had so many people ask me weird things about Alaska. like, "Does the sun EVER come up??" It's like dude in the summer, the sun NEVER goes down. They don't realize that it's not necessarily cold, but just extreme, It'll be -40 at night and 70 during the day.
Silly people. And we have blazing hot summers too :p
Sounds familiar... It's the exact same here. Northern Norway tends to be marketed as "Land of the Midnight Sun". But that's only because "Land of Eternal Darkness" doesn't go too well with tourists. Yes, I know we get exactly as much daytime as nighttime, like every other place in the world, but the weather tends to obstruct the daytime, and make the nighttime even darker.
And cold up here is proper cold. -40*C is apparently something that happens some days every winter. -50 is more rare, but it occurs from time to time. Add the wind to that.
Yeah the wind chill was a bitch, although where i was living, the weather was pretty stable for the most part, 5 days out of the week was clear skies and the other 2 were usually snowy or windy. That was during the Spring though

Indeed, I am. What a coincidence!
...That would be weird if we knew each other...
Well let's see: Where I am living currently, the average January temp is 18.11°C and the average June temp is 25.33°C... the total year average is 22.94°C, which basically means (in Fahrenheit) that year-round, it is NORMALLY between 60-80... only three weeks ago was when we had record temperatures of 44.39°C... now that was nasty!

Technically, he could be talking about Alabama as well. But the heat index might have gotten up to 110F but the actually temperature definitely didn't get that high.
I was talking about GA.
And about the 110's, I was just trying to remember if it got that high or not.
When I vacationed to Florida, I remember it being nice and breezy...
I know you were talking about Georgia, I was just pointing out that detail.
Anyways, if you come here in mid November to March it's pretty nice but after that it's just brutal.
I heard the humidity just kills... and the mosquitos and such... is this true??? I was in Massachusetts where the humidity was horrible, and I'm used to New England humidity... is it worse than that???
Humidity is non existent out her... just DRY, DRY, DRY... you can get a gnarly sinus infection from the Santa Anas (google the Santa Ana Winds)
I've been to Hong Kong in the summer, and yes, humidity KILLS. The weather there is similar to Florida's 33-35C in the summer and humid. Really, really humid. It could rain for a week at a time. There was this one time I went out and came back in 10 minutes with my head completely soaked from the moisture (which is odd, because I wasn't actually sweating :-\) and dived into some bushes to search for a missing ball and came out covered in mosquito bites.
I hate humidity...
My favorite conditions...
I like it in the 50's, not humid but not too dry either.
Yeah. We get a nice balance of weather in mountainous West Virginia. Although fall is in full force right now and it's quite chilly. Not much of that humidity stuff. That's one thing I'm pretty thankful for is the mild summers. I can't imagine that kind of humidity.

that sucks... there are mosquitos lurking outside our front doors... and it has wonderfully been raining nonstop for 8 hours!!!!
Mosquitoes this late in the year? It's almost Halloween, I thought they'd all have moved off by now. I guess it's just weird having grown up in a mostly mosquito free climate. Best of luck to all of you avoiding nasty bites.
However we are expecting a rainstorn tomorrow or the day after. But 8 hours might be a little extreme.

Anyway, I just had too much spare time. I found out a few things while browsing Google Earth:
1. When I'm at the camp, I live further east than Dahans, who resides in Austria.
2. If I walk in a straight line from our barracks, home, and keep going further, the same direction and distance, I'll end up just outside the Belgian town Sart-Station.
3. Norway extends further east than Greece. The easternmost point of Norway is approximately on the same longitude as Cairo, Egypt (or 200 km east of Istanbul, Turkey). Despite that Egypt is two hours ahead of Norway, all of Norway share the same time zone.

guys you had better take that picture off my neighbors are going to be so pissed I put their address on they've already found out...
How the hell would they find out? Unless your mom searches through every single webpage you've visited every single day and somehow stumbled upon the fact you put that address up and told your neighbors, I don't think that likely would happen. And I doubt it has.
Sucks to your assmar.
It's not our fault you're a dumb kid that doesn't understand what you should and shouldn't do on the internet ^^
Plus, the only way they would find out is either if you told them directly or they stalked you on the internet, both of which are amusing situations.

I don't mean to be a Kefka groupie as of late, but THIS. Lol maybe we would give him a second chance if he wouldn't do something stupid like post his address, which is not actually his address, just to "see everyone's reactions." ::)
Also.

Ha. As this is going on silly raymond is still working on his SMASHING RETORT to us all.
I would say I look forward to it, but really it's just going to made me depressed that people can be so painfully foolish and ignorant.

Hm, if you're talking about me, people ON HERE consider me to be a douche every day. No HugoMeister, I just accidentally went on a website with "retard" people. No, it's because you're probably over 16. People around that age and older generally feel superior to younger people, regardless of intelligence, strength, or looks, none of which I am saying I have. Just some people that DO have them are still suppressed by older people. I found that out with TheLegend - I think someone admitted
Dude, why'd you do that? :-X If you're doing it because I'm a stupid dumb moronish kid, you don't go bully kids, do you? And even though most people (adults, strangers, teachers, fellow students, everyone except you guys) don't consider me to be one, I'm willing to say I am one if you just TAKE THE STUPID PICTURE OFF. Seriously, so far, I've made 2 major mistakes. one more chance.
^Wasn't talking about you. You need to stop thinking that people are always talking about you in a bad way.
Quote from: HugoMeister on April 25, 2011, 06:35:35 PMI just about died. Never have my sides hurt so much.

Quote from: SlowPokemon on April 25, 2011, 07:12:29 PM^this, also any posts after that apply. Also mentioning TheLegend will never help your case. Ever.
Roz, people make me think that because everyone on here says something bad about me. Sometimes, for no apparent reason, sometimes, for small reasons that people would think completely normal if it came from other people's hands.
Slow, if someone said TheLegend was less annoying than Raymondbl (I forgot who said it), then it must've been because I made one mistake and you hate me forever for every little thing! I was jolly glad of the change when everything went good with TheLegend for a while. No one ever said I was annoying - went undiscovered for a week or so, I think. Made plenty of posts. Only when I was uncovered and true identity revealed did people start treating me bad again. This proves that you are biased! Of course, I wasn't talking specifically to you.
and JaMaHa, do me a favor, please, and delete the pictures :(

Honestly I didn't even know you were thelegend until after the account was deleted, and I still thought you were fairly annoying. xD just saying
Also, dude's above comment made me lol hard
Whoa, ok. I think this whole thing has gone way too far, I don't even know where to start...
everyone's acting totally immature about this. I remember a time when I acted like Raymond (on a smaller scale) and people didn't think I was that annoying cuz we still had Davey around. Making fun of each other isn't gonna solve shit. Hell, if I was Raymond right now, I'd be going nuts! HE'S 12. :| Give him a freaking break.
Acting immature (on either side) isn't gonna solve anything.
^I love you.
Uni ruined the fun.

To be honest, I don't see the fun in bullying someone.
