Twas for a class. Yes, we were stuck with the utter shit that is Game Maker and managed to code this using the GML, which is awful. Notice how the sprites are custom made. :D (Except for the IWBTG on the title screen and random background at the end sequence)
My friend was the sprite artist and level designer, I was the one who coded the whole movement physics whatever. It was meant to be an old style platformer, don't even try to say that the sprites are too small.

Thanks, did you notice that on level 2 you can just jump off the left side of the screen and land on the floating brick?
No, that's on level 3. And that's a "secret" feature. It was fun watching people go "WAIT WHAT" when we had them playtest and then showed them us beating it.
Hmm... it was like a week ago, i remember that on level 3, but i faintly remember it on level 2, or maybe it was that i needed to land on the right side of the brick so that the needles wouldn't attack me. something or the sort. Nice game though, my fave part was finding about the double jump on level one that lets you skip the "giant fall" where you had to go under that that spot with the occasional bullet that came from nowhere.
It's some mysterious bug where the guy that shoots you can somehow shoot through the walls that it shouldn't be able to shoot through.

At the beginning, I loved: This game is not for the weak-hearted. It was your style, KF.
Stage 1: Beat in 40 minutes (I know that's terrible...)
Stage 2: Beat in 5 minutes (I found the secret over-the-wall thing by accident pretty quickly)
Stage 3: Beat in 54 minutes (I did horrible!!)
But a great game!!
