Mine are Ike, Marth, and Snake

Snake definately. I'm pretty badass with him so far.
Toon link and wolf are my favourite new chars... but i really love how they improved zelda, and sheik is still fun despite being not as good as in melee...
My new favorite character is now Sonic and not Olimar like I had thought. Mario is still a favorite for me, but not as much because they took out his cool down-b from Melee and gave him literally the worst Final Smash in the whole game.
I like using Captain Falcon, Wario, and Meta Knight. Pit is pretty cool too.
I hate people who use Ike and Marth. Why? Almost every anonymous online match I've played SOMEBODY always picks one of them and spams their B attacks all over the place. My friends even pick them, it's annoying.
Pit, Olimar and Mario.....and Snake, Sonic and Toon Link.....and Bowser, Wolf and Luigi. Wait, we were only supposed to pick three?
My best character is sonic, second best is toon link. And i hate how whenever i use a move more than once in a match, he calls me "cheap" and it gets so annoying. I mean, just play and stop calling me cheap!
Captain Falcon, Ike, and Snake.
the Captain was one of my Melee mains so thats an obvious choice, Ike is just insanely strong, and Snake is just a badass.
fox is a close 4, tho.

Toon Link is like Link but better and more awesome, Sonic is pretty fast and strong, and Snake has all these weapons of mass destruction!
My best is Snake. He might not jump too high, but his attacks are really powerful and I love to use his rocket launcher after I kicked my opponent away lol.

I disagree. Peach's Final Smash at least put enemies to sleep so you could attack them and deal some damage. Mario's rarely connects, due to the fact that even upon using it at point-blank range, your opponent
still has ample time to dodge it. Zero Suit Samus's is meant to suck because you are getting back your suit, and Wario's is very good because it lasts so long.

i hate the Ice Climbers, they are terrible.
Ice Climbers smash attacks (not FINAL smash) are strong if you aim well and charge them up correctly
I hate it when ppl do nothing as meta-knight and only use his Spin Attack (B attack)

Attack spammers have no true skills, they either win because they get lucky or everyone ignores them to avoid getting spam attacke dby them and kill each other off and the spammer automatically wins
the only things i really spam are the short hop (but that's not really an attack) and Ike's ^C. but, i've seen people who do a lot more. *coughpitn00bscough*
then beat down on the spammer... just target someone, and knock them out repeatedly... if they really have no "true skill", you should be able to finish them quickly...
but pit needs to spam arrows to add extra damage and create openings... his side-b, not so much though

Alright, I'll have to say that Kirby is the best character.
Also, Ike and Yoshi can get around 5k in the home run contest as a 2P team, I'm going to try the method with my friend sometime. What you do is do the normal down-A method with yoshi, while standing next to the bag and throwing then catching the bat like crazy until a certain time when you throw up the bat, do a down smash, then charge your B special until the last second when you release it to launch the sandbag without using the bat home run smash thingy. I got a replay from the service if you wonder how I know this.

we are, and i wasn't talking about that. i saw one of the videos that Nintendo puts out every day (it was last Sunday's video) and the got like 2200 ft or something. it was insane: they chucked the bat at the sandbag and then during the throw animation they dashed then immediately turned back and got de-synched then grabbed the bat then ran over to the sandbag and did their \/B for the rest of the time and then hit the sandbag with the bat and it flew for a long time. (/run-on sentence)

One of Nintendo's videos had someone get around 6500 ft on Home Run Contest. I think that's quite a bit more insane!

I personally couldn't believe how much Lucas sucked compared to Ness. He was weaker, and mostly slower.
I thought of Lucas as a better character than Ness.

Nonetheless, Lucas didn't feel very powerful (I use past tense because I haven't used him since I was forced to in the Subspace Emissary). He was just a waste of a life whenever PT got KOd.
I don't think he's built for a ton of power, except for his up smash. most of his attacks seem to indicate he's more of a "do damage quickly" kind of character.
I'm really good with him for some reason lol. I usually punch someone like crazy, use pk fire to get them high in the air, then use his quick jumps to do continuous aerial attacks.

yeah, Ike is too powerful. (so much so that my little brothers don't let me use him against them anymore because i'm unstoppable with him against them.)
I'm mostly Lucas, but Marth and Wolf are my favorites too. Yoshi, Luigi and Ike come next. Ike can be so unfair though. Try 300% Special Brawl to watch Ike own EVERYONE!
Wow...so many people like Ike (crowd: WE LIKE IKE! WE LIKE IKE!)...Ike is so cheap, my brother always beats me when he uses him (that's why we do team now, Marth: me, Ike: him ;D)
Anyway, onto the subject. For favorites, I'd have to say Pit, Marth, and Ike. My best are Pit (what a suprise), Kirby, and Marth/Snake. Dunno about Snake, my brother just says I'm good with him.
A lot of my "friends" use StarFox characters and Link/Toon Link and Young Link in Melee. "Friends" because I just play video games with them in an after school program, not hang out or anything because I'm a girl and they're boys...

Especially those annoying attacks such as, say, META KNIGHT'S STANDARD ATTACK, or Zelda's Naryu's Love.
I always play as Ike, but I wish they had put Roy on Brawl.

one thing i dont get though, was that toon link was almost a copy of link, and just as strong, but just faster

Yes, but not as much as people think. They're both the Master Sword after all, Link's being appropriately proportioned and Toon Link's being totally huge for him.

i only picked one because as my friends know thats the only char from melee that im realy overpowered with compared with the rest and the char is falco it remains my fav char especialy now the upgrades and updates are there ;)

I don't like Lucas or Ganodorf. I've hated Ness from the first game. and then they had to create Lucas... what a pity.

....actually that's a lie. I used to hate him but got used to him. He's really pretty powerful, his smashes do take a while to launch though.
And his absorber should ABSORB damage instead of just reducing it. Ness's was uber-useful in Melee.
uh.... absorbing damage is bad for you, you know? it's not like he has an "aura" like ability.
Absorbing as in reversing. Ness recovered 24% from Samus' charge shot in Melee. Lucas' doesn't even block all the damage.
Does Ness' PSI Magnet still absorb damage or just reduce it?

ganondorf's not that bad. He can still kick ass one on one, but I wouldn't dare main him, personally.

Marth is simply my favorite. He's been my favorite since Melee. His down and side B's are life savers. Not to mention his speed. Lucas is a close second. I love his PK Fire and his PK Thunder is easier to control than Ness's. I use PK Thunder to steal the smash ball a lot. Zelda is definately a third placer. I love how she is redone and overall stronger. I just never liked Sheik. Not even in Melee. But Zelda's Din's Fire is freaking shweet.
I love Zelda and Mr Game and Watch. Zelda's kicks and magic rules, whereas Mr Game and Watch is random and packs a punch!

My main used to be Luigi (specially for his Final Smash), but since I used him too much, I decided to leave him alone for a while.
I'm back to playing with Ness, DK and Dedede (I love annoying my opponents with Waddle Dees :3)

Although I can't say I'm that good at all. My best opponents are neighbors, who aren't that good either.
I really don't use Toon Link that much now, so I mostly use Luigi and Kirby.
I really like Luigi's Super Up+B attack! Bring them up to considerable damage, and then WHAM!!!
Not that it'll work so easily on a good player.

Marth: Pretty much amazing. Quick attacks, strong if you know how to use him right, quick on his feet, good enough recovery times.
Meta-Knight: Amazingly quick. I've actually gotten good enough that i have gone through a school-wide tourney w/o being touched by another player until the final 3. Subsequently, i won that tourney and there were some pretty amazing players there. There were two different tourneys held at the same time. I won both, inputing meta-knight on one, Marth on the other.
Dedede: Not exactly a good character, not quick at all. redeeming factor? he's an f-in tank! he can knock heavy chars out at 50 pecent damage and he, himself, is hard to KO, having the floating recovery plus Dedede jump as well as being a heavy character, thus hard to knock around.

i now see that dedede not only does the big gay dance but that he also has great skills
Best characters I consider to fight with:
Meta-Knight: Fast but short range
Wolf: Slow in the run and has some lag times but has great reach and a reflector.
Ike: Slow but strong (at least he has a counter)
Im actually a tad disappointed. I used to main Link and Marth. But in this game Link is very close to being horrible. They totally screwd up on him cuz he's simply not the same. Gannondorf has become even more gay in this game, they should have done what they were talking about and made him into a sword-wielder for the Heavy class. Of course they made Ike the Heavy blade-brandier, but i think Ganon might have been a little better if he actually had a sword, thus eliminating him as a horrible clone of Cpt. Falcon.
just to be honest... Sonic and Snake are the two worst characters that nintendo has to put in a game like this yet.
snake is awesome, he can destroy you from like far away. sonic I agree with. he's way too cheap.

Meta Knight is my bast character. Snake because Metal Gear Solid is amazing, and pokemon trainer.
Snake, because its snake, common his fight style is awesome (Unless your on small stages.)
Zelda cause transformation is a sheild, for air moves pwn.
Kirby, great fight and the suicide trick.
Many of the characters have suicide tricks, and kirby's isn't exactly the best of them all. By far the most popular is Bowser-cide.
Wolf, Falco, Fox. Somehow.... I mastered them all. And sonic and snake are my favorites too!
