Nintendo DID say they were having a new Wii game from one of their big franchises at E3, so everyone is hoping Kirby or Star Fox.
A new Star Fox game on Wii would be very epic.
Hopefully not another "Star Fox Adventures" though.

No, you're not alone. I used to think the same thing, but it kinda slipped. I was wondering about Ice Climbers too, but it's the least likely. Nintendo has been overdriving with the nostalgia stuff lately in the Mario series. We should probably expect a new Zelda game.

I haven't played much Soul Calibur games, but when I did, I /always/ picked Nightmare.

Obviously Nintendo too. I didn't see Marvelous there (Harvest Moon). It's not that I hate the games but the glitches are so annoying.
In addition to Nightmare getting a new badass look, I'd like to see more final bosses and modes in SC. I want something like Night Terror back, select a weapon without going to character creation and a real museum mode. Also, a better movelist for Raphael...why should he forget some of his moves just so Amy could have them? The dialogue could also be a bit better. The voiceover and voice actors sounded asleep compared to II and III.

I thought only the Cel-shaded Zelda games followed a timeline?
Some time after all the other games, WindWaker begins. Hyrule is no more at this point. Also, Ganondorf is finally slain; turned to stone with the Master Sword impaling his head from the forehead and way down the throat.
Then Phantom Hourglass and Spirit tracks follow, in that order.
Also, it appears that Twilight Princess is set after OOT, but before WindWaker. But I think that is the only timeline hinted at in the newer games. Or?
I'm thinking(just by the art) that the new Zelda will fall after Twilight Princess and before Wind Waker.
MM is after OOT, I'm pretty sure WW is the next one. I don't think TP is in between those, but I'm not sure.

End of OoT, Zelda sends Link to relive the 7 years. This creates two timelines. In the Adult Link timeline, Link has defeated Ganondorf and sealed him in the Sacred Realm. This is where he is at the start of WW.
In the Young Link timeline, they capture Ganon and throw him in the Twilight Realm or something (a little fuzzy on the details), but he somehow winds up with the ToP anyway through a "Divine Prank." And that sets up TP.

Actually, I think the creators of the Zelda franchise said that there was no link between games, meaning no timeline, except for sequels like MM, PH and ST. But it's still fun to try to guess the timelines, since so many elements seem to fit together, the most logical explanation being the one Seeker mentioned.

I am fairly certain that the creators have stated there are two timelines after OoT. Anyway, there is sufficient in game evidence and consensus (last I checked) about the order I presented that calling it correct is justified. It's when you try to squeeze in the other games that significant debate occurs.

Umm, I never liked many other Nintendo franchises other than Mario or Pokemon (not really Nintendo so much as Game Freak). Star Fox was alright, I enjoyed Kirby immensely, but I was never one for Donkey Kong.

Personally, I'm not a zelda fan. I found Ocarina of time boring. Maybe I wasn't in the mood for that kind of game, but I just didn't really like it.
To be honest, I haven't properly played on a nintendo console for 2 years. The closest I've got is earthbound. Emulated.
My favourite nintendo series (behind eb) has to be Metroid. But I am really not looking forward to other m- I just don't like action games anymore. It just looks terrible and totally un-metroidy- but it might be interesting since it seems to be a closer story- more detailed that nintendo's usual repetetive story, no talking games.

And it has real lounge games, like hide and seek and such- that's cool, you think at first, until you realise that's the last thing you want to be playing unless you're 4 or 5 and shouldn't be let near a wii, and if you are you're too retarded to understand the thing and if by some bizarre chance you can find the d-pad with your stubby little fingers and not drop the nunchuck then HOW ON EARTH are you going to even get to the second level of SMG2 which I can't remember what it's called because let's be honest people, it's NOT ORIGINAL. So instead let's play a glorified version of pass the parcel which can be done anyway and your little 3 year old child doesn't give a crap if it's on a pretty NOT EVEN HD screen or if it's a pack of candy wrapped up in newspaper- oh wait, they'll want the newspaper, because you CAN'T EAT A WIIMOTE.
I am slowly hating nintendo more and more- they used to be a brilliant soulful company full of intuitivae and imaginative ideas, but the wii IS NOT INTUITIVE. The DS was kind of new, but then they had to go and make it more like a mobile phone- what? I don't WANT 3D on my handheld- scrap the 3D and keep the immense power needed FOR 3D and make some vaguely good games on the bloody console. Instead of imagine babies and fasion designer yes I KNOW they weren;t made by nintendo but it's bad enough letting them on your console- it shows they just want money and now nintendo is the hub for shovelware games and THEY KNOW IT because then they get more money- and are slowly poisoning their old fans by drowning them in someone elses crap- the "casual gamer" market- sure why not make wii fit- a great idea, but DONT MAKE IT THAT BIG OF A TITLE, and don't corrupt perfectly fine MKWii with ads by celebrity footballers and their families who no-one has heard of except people who SHOULDN't BE PLAYING VIDEO GAMES LIKE THIS because they don't care and that's fine. Nintendo have made enough money as it is.
And then there's the wii's power- no HD? We've been running on 480i for too long, and quite frankly graphics NEED HD to look good. I've defended the wii for years saying "You don't need good graphics"- and that's true, but you'd think nintendo's flagship titles would HAVE good graphics- and let's be honest, Mario galaxy has fine graphics but when you compare it to even ratchet and clank then it looks like someone has just vomited on the screen- like they did with wii sport, modeled it into blocky, rushed graphics and called it "stylised"- NINTENDO EXCUSE ME THAT'S NOT STYLISED THATS SHIT

PS3 home- you can actually do something with your avatar- (which has very good graphics- a little free side project done by sony and it looks better than anything the wii has thrown up) like socialise online- sure the wii has "revolutionary online" but sony did that years ago on the PS2- and it wasn't terrible either. Let me see when my friends are online so I don't actually have to call them up to see when they're online and let me chat to them using a headset not FREAKING WII SPEAK... oh, and let me ACTUALLY PLAY WITH MY FRIENDS ONLINE BECAUSE YOUR "SERVICE" IS SO AWFUL I CAN'T EVEN GET ONE TWO MINUTE MATCH OF POKÉMON GOING WITHOUT THE WII ACTUALLY CRASHING

But anyway, I was wondering whether EA could save itself with something new. I just got the Sims 3, and there were some expansion "stuff" packs that were announced for it. I hope they could save the game. I mean, it was fun while my Ganondorf Sim went around beating up old ladies picnicking in the park and stealing their picnic baskets. But then he got old and now all he could do is steal and invite over neighbors to kill.
At this point EA's just annoying. I don't play sports games and they've really taken the "expansions" too far. Can't they include nice features in the first game they sell instead of charging another $20-$30 for stuff that people can possibly mod into the game?

1st) If you're going to raise a point about arguing agressively, don't argue agressively in rebuttal.
2nd) SMG2 isn't original. It is the same as SMG1. Not that I don't love the game in any way, and am looking forward to it. But it is true Nintendo brought nothing new to the table, save for a few game mechanics. Again, I love it. ^_^
3rd) Don't randomly say Metroid is crap. I too prefer other franchises, but I don't by any means dislike Metroid. Saying it's outright crap; see 1).
4th) You could at least provide a valid argument against his points, rather than saying, "I hate you, you're wrong I dislike everything you like and believe because it's bad and wrong."

On the topic of SMG2, I thought Nintendo brought a lot of new stuff in, compared to the last one. Of course, there's Yoshi, and his amazing glitch, the new items you get are fun to play and experiment with, etc. etc.
But Nintendo has been stock-piling on Mario stuff lately. The game I'm mostly looking forward to, as of now, is Kirby.

Looks like they could've upped the graphics, not rip-off other character's clothing, add in a few classic Kirby enemies, levels, gameplay, etc. and they have themselves a game...

The Nintendo 3DS sounds promising. The size of the 3DS could cost me a new bag though. At least it's a new console, even if it's not a home one. Besides, 3D!! Yay!
Remakes are always a gamble. It seems the happy memories I have playing with the game involved the shortfalls of the system too. Like those old battery powered Gameboys and how GSC/Bomberman, etc pushed the limit of the console. Or maybe I was just more impressionable when the game first came out and there's nothing like that little-kid enthusiasm when playing a game for the first time.

I finally got to play The Sims 3 and there's NO PIANO. WTF? A search said it might be available for purchase/through an expansion pack. It's been in every Sims game except this one. What will Ganondorf play when he's mocking Link??* /rant
*Ganondorf actually played the organ in the manga but there's no piano to mod to an organ in the first place.

I am also starting to islike EA- I think they make alright games, it's just they've become far too money-hungry and corporate-like.
But the Sims 3 was good. I just think the expansions, while they are as good as the later sims 2 ones, are quite poor- they should start with university and pets and things (but I guess since they always overblow pets they will wait until hype for the sims 3 boils down). But they did take out some things unnecessarily.

Yeeah, the ape looks stupid imho. The psychic pig lookks weird to me, but yeah, it's not that bad.

I didn;t get a DSi, but I might get one of these. It is easily as powerful as the wii, and it looks as good even with 3D turned on!
New animal crossing and mario kart ftw, and metal gear solid 3! Sims 3 actually looks good on console, and then there's some Final fantasy game, kid icarus, and star fox! And while before I wasn't really with the 3D thing, I just thought "hey, that's awesome." O_o

Both of those series don't really make me laugh, but it is funny. The EarthBound/Mother series is really funny, but serious at the same time.

I used to laugh a lot when I first got Super Star Saga, but when I got Partners in Time and Bowser's Inside Story, I got kind of bored of the series, so I didn't laugh as much. I
