Sounds good, I like it.
You should consider that your arrangments have to follow the formatting guidelines. (You will find this thread in the submission forum)

To make your arrangement into a MIDI file, if you use Finale Notepad, go to File - Save As... - (At the bottom of the box you will see the name of your arrangement ''Spin-Dig Galaxy[1]'' and then under it you change the Format or Type of file from ''Finale Notepad File'' to ''MIDI file'' by clicking the arrow on the right then you save and your arrangement should be in a MIDI format.

HEY HEY! WASSSAP! My name is Arekushisu11, nice to meet you!

You seem to have quite an experience with music sheet composition because from what I can see and hear (Even if I'm still a beginner at compositing myself) from your first arrangement, you have quite a good musical ear and an ability to figure out the right timing, chords and other musical partition related aspects thingy. (Sorry, I compose arrangements for fun and only stick to the guidelines of the website to make my partitions as correct as possible. I don't know much about the musical language and only the basics about Finale Notepad.)

The only thing that you could arrange more, you do it if you want, would be the beat of the music. HOLY GEES, WHAT?! No, the left hand is correct, maybe it's to low... or is it... I dunno. Just a feeling. You should ask Dahans. He's better than me to point out these things. He has more experience. Anyways... I just listened to the original and compared it to your arrangement and felt like yours lacks a light beat the original haves. Not a big deal, just a little something that would make yours more lively.

Here's a link to the original so people can compare it with yours.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdwWE5tGaXc

Also, again just a feeling and no big deal, the right hand is a little bit more alive in the original and I think it has a higher pitch but, that's just me. I mean.. it's the feeling I got. Nothing more.

There might be other things to point out but, that's all I can notice about your arrangement at the best of my knowledge for now.

So overall, looks and sounds good. Just add a bit more ''life'' (Yeah... I know it doesn't tell you much about what to change but, if your musical ear is as good as I think it is, you should figure it out by yourself) to your arrangement and it should turn out great!

If you have further questions about how to improve or modified or whatever, even if you wanna know what time it is or did the chicken came before the octopus mutant, feel free to ask. I'll be happy to answer to the best I can.

Have an awesome day, morning or night whenever you'll read this comment!

See ya! Arekushisu11

It's pretty good for your first arrangement but a few things need to be fixed up:

You've copy-pasted the left hand part over and over but the bass line changes every fourth bar or so (at least in the first part anyway).
You don't need that many octaves throughout. Especially when there are some chords here and there and most of the melody has a harmonised part played beneath it.
Some notes in some bars are cramped/congested. You can fix this by copying the bar and pasting it in the same place again.

Just a couple of things to consider. But as I said, a good job for your first arrangement. It's nice to have another arranger come and join the fun :D.

And don't post multiple times in a row, it just clutters things. Just modify your last post; it still gets the "New" tag just as it would if you posted again.

I know some notes from St. Mystere, but there are to many notes! I mean: one note bar for the clockenspiel, one not bar for the accordion, an not forget the melody.
I like bowser's fiery flotilla to, I gonna try

Professor layton's theme

at bar 68 there's a 5 note chord that'd be hard to play on one hand due to the intervals. I would recommend shifting the bottom notes up and/or removing some of the unnecessary notes.

bar 74: there's a dissonance with the downbeats. are you sure those are the notes?

May I give you advice for Moo Moo Meadows, I don't think it's "perfect" right now, but we can go towards that! :D

First, the key sig.: It's G major (one #). Say Finale to enharmonically tranpose it.

Second, the repeat: Delete the dal segno marks and add just a normal back repeat. Say Finale it should "go to measure 2". Then add a foward repeat mark on measure 2 so a piano player would know what to do. You only need dal segno if you have a chorus with stanzas, but that isn't a french chanson, is it? ;D Take out the "Play that 2 times" in measure 5 and just add another foward and back repeat.

Third, the notes: In measures 3 and 12, delete the grace note and add a "turn (grupetto)" on the first g. This is articulation 18 in Finale. It's somewhat hard to play in cause of the tempo, but blame it on the flute in the original. :) Then add mordents - articulation 16 - in measures 4, 5, 13 and 14 on the first g' and in measures 7 and 16 on the last note in the melody. Afterwards in measures 8 and 17 change the last note in the melody to an a', instead of the a#', just a semi-tone lower. By the way, a#'s are actually pretty uncommon, there don't appear until B Major. In measure 21 add staccatos - articulation 1 - to the first two notes in melody, it sounds... fresher. :) Finally, in the last measure take out the grace notes and the f# and just turn it to an a to have an authentic ending. :D

Hope that'll help you a bit, I can upload a revision if you need to, but I just wanted to give you instructions instead of doing it all by myself and leaving you with a revision in which you don't know what I changed actually. ;D

That is MUCH better now! ;) But there is one big thing that still needs to be fixed: The ending repeat section from m. 3-5 doesn't work right, on pass two it skips m. 4 and 5 and goes two m. 6 instead. I tried to fix that but it seems that you need to change the times of repeating... As I'm not a master of Finale, I would suggest to write the ending repeats out, so that you only have normal repeats at the end. In my opinion it's also the best way to make it look less complicated, ending repeats are very confusing if have them 3 times on just one piece of paper, aren't they? :D Further you can just change the "Go to measure 2" to a normal repeat mark, but instead of "Nearest forward repeat" at the "Target" drop-down menu you click on "Measure #" and then enter a 2.

I removed all these ending repeats. There are only two normal repeats left, between m. 3-6 and that at the end. I don't know why the right hand sounds lower in m. 25, a german proverb says it's the "curse of technology". :)

I really like your arrangements, Bloop! :D

You should do some Professor Layton stuff again... This one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VyBHTfVnASw&feature=related) is one of my favorites.

I think that was an unofficial request, by the way.

I'm suggesting two of my favorites (that are actually possible to arrange):

Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box--Folsense (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VyBHTfVnASw&feature=related)

Professor Layton and the Curious Village--Deserted Amusement Park (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHY0NHTFVEI&feature=related)

Just suggestions. :P

OK, I revised the first measures now:

http://www.mediafire.com/?ftq82nl4opgr90l

You had the wrong key sig., it's A Flat Major, just a semi-tone higher. But the key sig. of the melody seems to be E flat Major, when I'm right, as the diatonical scales always begins with an E flat. The chords but have D flats in them, so the left hand could be A flat. But to hold the piece easy, let's stay with one key sig. That is a pretty tough song to arrange, as the tonality of this piece is extended, if you know what I mean. :D

I went through it and it pretty much looks nothing like what it did before.

First thing is: Listen to the Whole Song!
You missed out an entire section!

Second is, alot of the notes were wrong. May I ask what you arranged it from? I personally only use mp3's (or something similar) that can be slowed down in your music player of choice. Slowing down makes it easier to hear some things, although slowing it down does make it harder to hear the bass lines. Another thing that I find helps is to listen to one side of my headphones at a time so the other channel doesn't get in the way.

I'd have to say though, not an easy song.

DekuTrombonist, your revision is brilliant! :o Two things to make it perfect: On the first repeat, click on "reset on repeat action" so the repeat works in the second run, too. Can we change the D.C. al Fine with a normal repeat? If there is an al fine, a piano player nomally expects a fine mark somewhere on the score, as there isn't one, we don't need that term.

Man, didn't I say you should choose something EASY? ;) How about arranging somewhat more repetitive in one key, like with Kirkhope's music for N64, repetitive bass patterns mixed with good old c minor, like in metal music (and by the way Kirkhope was in a metal band).

I couldn't help you with the jungle theme, too, it's pretty hard, but I revised everything else and there was much to revise, you always was a semi-tone to low in the key:

http://www.mediafire.com/?8bp8gdcyg98qssy

But for the good news, the two from that Friedfischer (don't know him) and B-K were right.

Story Begins - Left hand needs a bit of fixing up
Caverns - That's just really difficult to hear what's going on.
Jungle - Left hand is wrong, right hand is wrong too - take look at the one on the site, it's pretty close
Finale - Time signature should be 12/8 and some of the chords need improving (The Grande Finale in the Medley that is currently on the site is correct - I did that bit)

I'd go and fix it up myself but I'm feeling a little sick at the moment and blocked sinuses make it hard to hear things properly :(. But I can probably go through it next weekend or whenever I feel better.

Also, have you discovered the "Attach new text to measure" option? It's under the Text menu that appears when you click the 'A' tool. It attaches the next lot of text you create to a measure instead of the page (the writing also appears red!). That way, when stuff gets moved around, the text moves with the measure.

Can you point out the problems with the one on the site? Like DekuTrombonist said, it has some parts that are pretty close, however some parts in yours sound better in places, and comparing it to yours could make a perfect arrangement with next to no mistakes.

;D A toccata is a 19th century dance for piano, where fast repetitive notes are divised in both hands, so that a player can play repetitive notes very fast (one 16th for the left hand, one for the right hand and so on).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idfdk5nPs-s That's by the way one of my favourite toccatas! ;)

Arrange the tremolo in Mimi's theme like this, it would be pretty exhausting, if the player plays the repetitive notes just with one hand.

Concerning Floro Caverns: The first 5 measures are in Db Major, not minor, you can hear a Db Major chord in the first measure. From m. 6, it's f# minor, from 17-34 c# minor and from 35 to the end it's f# minor. You can keep the minor keys as Major keys, just say Finale to enharmonically switch the notes. Further you just can use the ped. articulation mark instead of the expression ped., it's easier to understand, imo. Afterwards, it should be great!

Floro Caverns:
I would turn the second dotted quarter note into an eighth note tied to a quarter note in bars similar to bar 8. speaking of those parts, is there any way you could make them not sound so muddled? perhaps move them up an octave or invert some of the notes.

Bar 23: not a huge issue but the bass clef change is hiding behind the eighth note. to fix this you would go to utilities-> update layout. you should probably do this for the entire sheet.
bar 24: the 8vb parts, why not shift them down an octave and change the clef to a bass clef?
bar 50: is there any real purpose to have the top C in the bass clef?

Bar 50: Yes, if the 8vb parts are there normally, I've added a top C in the treble clef for ending the measure after it, a low c for the top c from a 8vb, and then the top c from the bass cleff for the low c in a 8vb part

...I think that's a difficult explanation, not?

Nice arrangement so far, but I think it's a bit slow, isn't it? Further, you don't need DC markings if the Fine marking is in the last measure, just use normal repeats; remembering Moo Moo Meadows? ;)

Hightail Falls is AMAZING! Really good!

I really like the rhythm of Moo Moo Meadows too. You really captured the feel of the song, and I can imagine it sounds great on a proper piano.

Good work with those two! The rest of the songs are kinda unfamiliar to me, so can't really comment on them.

Game Boy Horror:
Measures 4 and 12: The B of the first beat is b.

Measures 25 to 34: Wrong notes. You have: G F G Ab. Those notes should be: A Gb Ab A. Listen the song again and if you have Transcribe! or some program which can slow down a song, slow down that part.

I remember you did this arrangement very fast and perhaps you put some wrong notes. Be careful!  :D

I know, I did this with midi (are you disappointed now?) and the midi had the intro Snowing used... but that one isn't complete. This (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjyi1Tky-9k) version includes the complete intro, and I think it would be to hard for me to do the first part by ear.

How about staccatos on all that eighths? That way they will remain there but sound shorter.

So staccatos are right. Just one more thing: you put and mf on that left hand. If it's the not-so-much-hearable-bass, why not a p? I think the melody is still overpowered by that bass.  :)

Since I'm not an expert on Banjo music, I can't judge very well but after listening to the original, it's very good! Remove the fs and add an agitato or a loco at the beginning and it will be perfect!   :D
Oh! And don't forget the copyright and the complete title: "Targitzan, the Despotic Dizzy Totem God" :)

You're no expert in Banjo-Kazooie music? Please don't say me you never played the games, I'd not believe it! ;)

What do mean with loco or agitato, if you label all staves with forte, it's just fine. I guess the tempo might be agitato, but as it is pretty fast and furious, I'd prefer
"Allegro con brio".

Besides that, thank for another BT arrangement! There pretty easy to handle as they are almost always in Eb Major or c minor, as Kirkhope was a former metal band member
and most metal songs are also in c minor. ;D

W-w-wait...

Allegro makes the tempo 120 while the actual tempo is 175...

Con brio doesn't work in Finale 2009.

3 small things. The tempo is a little under, I think it's around 185-190. The top notes on beat 4 of bar 44 and bar 45 should be C#->D instead of E->F.
And the bass notes in bar 26 aren't right. The notes on beats 1 & 3 should be Dbs. I'm not too sure about beat 2 & 4 but I'm leaning toward Gb.
The rest of it's pretty good, note-wise. I love the harmonies from 82 to the end.

Perhaps the odd dynamic change wouldn't hurt? I'm pretty sure it's not the same throughout :P

Several things to correct in this one:
-Those 8th notes after the E octaves should be B's, not A's.
-Measures 20-24: The right hand melody should be transposed down a perfect 4th.
-Measure 27: The dotted half note should be an A, not a B flat.
-Measure 32: That first 4th needs to be down a half step (flat the notes).

Moldarach/Koloktos Battle

At about measure 21 the strings come in with some trills and chromatic runs (measures 25/29 for example). Anyway you could squeeze those in?

On measure 38, I believe you're off by a smiggin. I'm hearing an Eb on the first chord and a Gb on the second chord.

Measure 41 is actually a lot like measure 45, not measure 39.

Double Post. Hey Bloop Jtehanonymous and I are thinking of using your arrangement of Koloktos Battle for a violin/piano duet. Anyway you could make those changes I suggested so we can start distributing parts? :)

So I couldn't figure out why those notes didn't sound right after you fixed them and realized that your version is actually in a totally different key than the original. lol. I don't know how/why that happened when you transcribed it, but yah. Jtehanonymous was the first to point it out.

Just stick with your original, it's correct for its own key. All the other changes were good though.

Don't even know if I did that ^^

However, I've re-organized the whole list again and added Final Hours. I also placed my Twilight Princess sheets and World 6 from NSMBWii back

Alright, here are a bunch of new arrangements. They're all arranged with Finale Notepad 2012. They still need to be revised. Most of those arrangements are done with transcribing. Some just need some small changes, others are a complete mess. That's also the reason why I haven't made midi's or pdf's for them. I'm placing them here for two reasons:
Well, that was the text part. Onto the arrangements.

Spiral Mountain (Aquatic) - Good, but the G in bar 14 sounds off.

Wumba's Wigwam - Very accurate, but in the 10 bars, why not have the left hand playing the bottom of the harmony part, rather than it just sitting there while the right hand does all the work?

I was gonna be all cool and transcribe the whole thing, but I couldn't be bothered...and the twinkly bits are too hard to hear :P

But everything you need is here anyway: Wi-Fi Menu (https://dl.dropbox.com/u/84117653/Other/Mario%20Kart%20Wii%20-%20Wi-Fi%20Menu.mus)

I'd suggest changing the key sig back to no sharps/flats. I'd also suggest changing the first section to 20 bars instead of 24 as the RH loops every 5 bars and the LH loops every 4 bars (that's why I put the brackets on the sheet) and 20 is the first time they line up. And maybe find some neat way to keep the arpeggio bit going when the bass line appears (even if it's just in the bars rest or something, I dunno, whatever sounds good)....?

Aha! The Village Awakens! Certainly another one of my favorites and another one that I would like to arrange, but looking at your arrangement, I don't have the need anymore! :D

Just one thing... At measure 14, its C-G-A-G-E-C-E, not C-G-A-G-E-B-E.

Haven't taken a look to the other ones yet, but either way I'm sure they don't need too much feedback.

Hahahaha! Marvelous job, Bloop! They're all so well-done and cleverly arranged, too. They sound just like the originals! Isn't it interesting how one of the composers of Mario Kart Wii did this soundtrack? ;)

Just a couple of things I could comment on:

Thieves' Hideout: Love it! I was going to do this myself at some stage, but you've done a perfect job, so no need. I don't think you need to separate the RH parts in the last four bars of the piece, though. Just fix that up and all's good. :)

Yuga Battle (Eastern Palace): It sounds a little empty... I've checked the original and there's not much else you could add in. Perhaps you could add in some of the percussive effects to make it a little more interesting. Other than that, nothing else to comment on. Keep up the great work! :D

I just seperated the two voices because, well, they're different voices. I personally think they look better like they are now. I guess I need some more opinions on this ._.

I guess so, I've added a few percussion parts in it. Ryo's name doesn't seem to be Ryu, so goddemmit D: I'll fix that too in all sheets.

I only feel like the distance in rhythm could be accented on in the beginning bars of Tick Tock Clock. It would be hard to do correctly, but it's really the part that makes this songs about a clock not a raspberry.

Put headphones on and listen closely in your right ear - there's a lower voice your missing in merlee's mansion. I'm sure, this being SPM and all, that you're missing an orchestras worth in both, but overall you did an impressive job. :)))

I think we're talking about different voices, the one I'm hearing sounds like it has a quarter note rhythm in measure 5 (can't really tell what it's doing anywhere else, but it follows the motion of the melody with different rhythm and notes.) Also, you could probably afford to put the treble clef in octaves, given that there are two treble voices playing it like so.

Oh, I thought you were talking about bar 23-26 (there's another lower voice there too). I listened to measure 5, but I couldn't hear anything else. And I think I'll keep the melody like this, I don't want to make it even harder to play.

Go to the link I posted and listen very closely in your right ear (make sure your wearing headphones.) The reason I posted a specific link is the voice changes sides for different videos.

I think I'm hearing it in my left ear, a lower violin voice (it's the only thing I didn't hear before in the song). However I think it's too quiet to bother arranging though

I always automatically do that when there's two different voices playing, so I can keep track of the differences. Not that it matters, when printing both layers become black anyway.
However, I noticed that the PDF only showed page 2, so I fixed that ^^

Your arrangement of The Eternal Diva is awesome. One thing I noticed: the phrase that first appears in m. 12, the second note of the melody should be D, not E-flat. That error occurs throughout the piece.

Sammer, we know. It doesn't make a difference in the least. Stop pestering Bloop about his past arrangements. I know my older arrangements are pretty terrible compared to what I am capable now. I'm sure it's the same for Bloop. Stop reminding him. No one cares anymore, but you still have to keep bringing it up.

I relinked most of the links in the op, so everything is more ordered for me now. Notify me if some links don't work anymore!

That aside, now is the big news. I'll be arranging (most of) the Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box soundtrack, just like I did with the first game of the series. I'll try to go along the first to the last song in the official soundtrack, but I may make some jumps because some sheets are already arranged, or I don't really feel like arranging the particular song because of reasons (the very first song may fit in this last category, because fuck guitars and their rhythms).

Now, for the first 3 sheets of the project!

Hi Bloop!

I love to play all the different songs you've made, you do a really good job on your songs! (Long time lurker here, I never post but I always check out stuff here!)

I was just trying to access one of the PDFs for a song, and the link doesn't seem to be working properly for me. It was for the Donkey Kong 64 song, "Army Dillo."

I really wanna try that one out, is it possible to link me to the PDF? Thanks :)

I haven't made a request in a LONG time (I kinda feel rude making them xD), but if you are interested, this would be a nice challenging SPM song to do:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8TX4sOGfW9U

I've been meaning to do it for a while, but I've focused most of my time in subs and helping arrangers with their sheets behind-the-scenes. Don't feel obligated to do if you don't want to. :P

AHHH!
This song I've been wanting for so long. I was never brazen enough to arrange it myself, though.
I'm not gonna go too in-depth, but here are just a couple things I noticed:
- Composer/arranger should be italics.
- I'd center-align the dynamics. Notably in M. 7 and M. 21.
- Those darn piano markings : )

Anyway, great job. If you ever submit it, I'll give an extremely thorough search.

Personally, I think you're on the Updaters hit list for submitting so many SPM sheets ;)

It's been almost 4 years since I posted in my arrangement thread, wow.

Monk Maz Koshia

Victory Parade (incl. The Celebration Continues)
[ZIP] (https://www.dropbox.com/s/308lkh9vhmlymnw/PM%20-%20Victory%20Parade.zip?dl=0)

I actually arranged Victory Parade before, but without the track that comes right after. I revised Victory Parade itself too, because I apparently made a lot of transcription errors back then.
(I also like how both Monk Maz Koshia and Victory Parade have the exact same amount of measures.)

Search for a job? Nah, arrange sheets in such quick succession so you'll have the chance to submit them someday

I also have a tendency to arrange impossible stuff. The impossible is possible. All you gotta do is make it so.

The Sages

Twilit Battle
[ZIP] (https://www.dropbox.com/s/2x1f15ihtm1bgkk/TP%20-%20Twilit%20Battle.zip?dl=0)

I'm also fixing formatting stuff or other stuff from sheets I did before, of which the links are slowly updated in the first post. You'll recognize them from the abbreviated game name at the start of the file name.

alrighty 2 new arrangements! I had done Final Hours already in the beforetimes, but it was a pretty eh arrangement so I redid it and now it's not eh anymore. Also Pushing Onwards was one of a number of "impossible" arrangements that Maelstrom sent me; apparently other arrangers had a hard time doing this one while making it playable. I finished this a month ago already but I forgot to upload it oops.

This is the third time I've arranged Floro Caverns: first time was in 2011 which was pretty much midi-copied, and a second time in 2014 which was closer to the original but still had some mistakes. For those interested, I've also made a simplified version, because (like always) Super Paper Mario music tends to get really complex and I found it interesting to try and tone it down to something more managable.
