I remember playing this game a few years back and I really liked the music. I was reminded of this song after hearing a remix.
The original is here:

and the remix is here: [EDIT: An updated remix came out with a few subtle changes so I changed the link]

I honestly wouldn't mind which version someone would rather write the sheet music for. I'd just like to be able to play this. Also if I made any mistakes in this topic or did something wrong, let me know.
Also I guess this is my first post. I've been around the forums for a while and just never bothered to make an account.
I may be able to do this song I will start on it monday i may be able to do the hole thing this next week
yes I think I can do it. I don't arrange music much but I can play by ear I just need to get this song stuck in my head.
I never played this one but I love the one for the ds there is some really great music in these pokemon games long live pokemon
OMG...
If someone arranges this song...another new member of NSM will be very happy!
I got hit with nostalgia...Great sad song...tears in my eyes while listening to it...
I will do my best

If there are any problems I will help you!
BTW, why's your name ASH501ST?
ok if I need help I will let you know and I may need your help.
why is my name ASH501ST well first of all my name is Ashton so when I was a little kid I liked to go by ash and in all the pokemon games my nick name would be Ash and I had an excuse because my name is Ashton and the 501ST part well I'm a huge star wars fan and in the revenge of the sith the blue striped clone troopers there legion is the 501ST so I just put the two together I thought that it was an original name and I liked so I started going by ASH501ST
do you like my name? or do you think its strange?
nah it's fine! but people will call you ash! get used to that :D!
fine with me if people call me Ash
Thanks a lot everyone. I didn't think this request would get looked at for a good year or so after looking at all of the requests the site gets. Thanks for helping me out. This song seems like it would be fantastic to play.
I have not arranged many songs so it might take some time I might need help from dahans to but it will get done as soon as I can

That's OK!
I LOVE this song.

Not necessarily asking for an arrangement, but I would love it! :D
ok so as i already said i'm not really goo at arranging music and school started and I have been really busy plus my piano is really outa tune and I'm really sorry its been so long but I havn't done much with the song so dahans do you think that you could do it if not some one else I'm really sorry man I wanted to do it but I'm not that good at arranging yet the notes I have done so far are: C B G going down for the right hand and: C G C E for the left hand going up so Im really sorry that I didn't really do it but dahans can you please do it
No worries, I'm in no rush for this song. I'm just looking for anybody to do it in their free time if they would like to.
I really love this song to and I really want to arrange it I just know that there are other people that are better then me at it and a lot faster to but if no one else will I will keep at it
Topic revival! I absolutely adore the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon soundtrack (first and second [partial inclination towards first]) and I might just take up the job of arranging this piece. However, because of the obsessive-compulsive perfectionist that I am, there is a high chance that I would arrange this song as a duet in order include as many parts from the original OST as possible (if I'm not mistaken, there's a flute, a choir, a string section, a harp, a solo violinist, a celesta, and an 8-bit sounding synthetic bass in the orginal song). So yes, this sheet may come to be!
I'm surprised my request wasn't completely forgotten about. Any way you would like to do the sheets is fine with me, but would it be too much trouble to get a single piano sheet as well? I know a duet would sound a lot better, but sadly, I am only one person. Its good to see other people interested in the music of this game.
If anyone is interested as well, the artist who made the remix I put in the first post made another song that is a medley of many songs in the game it sounds really beautiful too.
http://tindeck.com/listen/guyu
Anyway, the author gave me the midi he used to create that song. I however, have no idea how to convert it into a sheet. If anyone knows how to or is interested, I can send you the midi so a sheet can be made. ;D
Wow I'm listening to the medley you gave the link for - it's amazing! I heard so many songs already: the questionarie, Sky Tower, Run Away, the climax of the Parting song, Sky Tower Summit, and little tid-bits of other songs as well. GuitahHeroe makes good stuff for sure. Now about that MIDI you mentioned - is it for the medley I just listened to, or is it for Run Away specifically? If it's the latter, I'd like it please. Also, on another note, I'll make a solo for Run Away, but I'm going to write the piano duet first that way I know all the parts and then can condense them into a solo performance.
I also arrange a lot of other PMD music. If you want, you can go look at my thread in the Submissions section of the forum to see some of my arrangements.
The midi I have is only for the Dreams of Heroism medley. I asked the author if he had the midi to run away but it appears he has lost it.
Aww that's too bad. No loss for me however, I've never EVER arranged from a MIDI yet, so it's no hurt. My arrangements are made from painstakingly focused listening of a youtube video of a song I'm trying to make sheets for. Even if I did get the MIDI, it would be GuitahHeroe's remix, and I always stick to the original. But thanks for the info anyway!
Aww man I forgot about this request sorry about that man.....I'm not really the best arranger :|
I would arrange this...but i'm not any good at arranging. I'm more a performer xD but someone PLEASE do this one >:O
I'm getting to doing this song, but right now I'm about to finish my arrangement of PMD R/B RT Credits, so I'm going to full throtle on it. I'll start on Run Away once I finish (which should be in the next 60 minutes).
P.S. Nice to see you xK-NiGhTx :) How's learning "I Don't Want to Say Goodbye" going? ;)

SO...MANY...FLATS!!!!!! Lol but i got it learned i just mixed it up a bit lol. Added a lot more dynamics (it's just really loud now lol)
By the way Bespinben...i found a youtube video of a guy playing this run away song...if only i had the link...oh wait... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIMzXmq4uYg&feature=related
it's only for the first bit lol but i hope this helps
O yeah Bespinben about that youtube vid i told you about...the song only goes till around 2:38. Just thought i'd let you know...
Still waiting... D: i MUST have this music!!!!!!!!! Lol i'm super impatient xD
I actually JUST finished writing out all the various parts in the song. I'm going to condense them now into a suitable piano solo. Besides, your impatience prompts me to work faster, which is good, because I like accomplishing things.
Oh and by the way, you'll be pleased to know "Run Away" has a reasonable key signature of 3 flats, as to opposed "I Don't Want to Say Goodbye" which had a nasty 7 flats (which isn't so bad since the key change in that piece eliminates all flats).
That makes me happy :D

Never played PMD Red but that's a really cool song. I second that "not necessarily asking for an arrangement but will throw in comments inconspicuously till it gets done" motion :P
I actually have Tiny Woods (the song you linked to) on my To-Do list. I'm going to start it once I finish arranging "Run Away" for xK-NiGhTx (I'll be done sometime today, dont' worry). I too particularly enjoy the Tiny Woods song for the same reason I enjoy the Mt. Moon song from Pokémon RBY - they're both based on whole tone scales, adding a feeling of surreality. I also like Tiny Woods because it perfectly encapsulates the feeling felt by the protagonist, the feeling of "WHAT THE HECK I'M A POKEMON, IS THIS REAL???"
Sounds great. I may have to try out that game.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!!!!! I can't wait anymore LOL!
Lol, originally Wii Tank requested this song, but now I've ended up making it for you xK-NiGhTx XD. Back to work now! MUST FINISH.
Lol hopefully Wii Tank is paying attention so he can get it too ;D BUT I SHALL GET IT FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO ONE CAN STAND IN THE WAY OF MY FIREY TENACITY!!!!
YAY!! I WILL TOTALLY BE FIRST TO PRINT THIS!!!!
AHHH...nostalgia soup. I'm totally going back and playing this game. The ending makes me cry every time. THANKS AGAIN!!! Lol you are a lifesaver Bespinben
Speaking of ending, I always somewhat preferred the "Parting" song that plays as you say goodbye to your partner after you destroy the comet over "Run Away". Sure, some of the sections within both of those songs are similar, but the "Parting" song always held more import and emotional significance to me. I may just have to arrange that now too :)
DO ITTT ;D lol i learned Run Away pretty good btw
Done recording run away :D i'm happy now. Just need to finish the portal songs and i'm done with my cd :D
Wow you learn fast! I guess we're rather opposite in our musical abilities, seeing as you are good at playing stuff (you've said you're a "performer" rather than an "arranger" many a time) and I'm fairly decent at arranging pieces (though it takes me usually a month if I ever want to learn to actually play a song). Also, I'd love to hear that CD sometime when you finish! I bet it's gonna be awesome :D
I'm still here haha. Excellent job with the song, I'm really enjoying learning it.
Kind of off topic, but would you consider doing a solo version of Sky Tower? That's next on my must play list for this game.
Thanks for comment! I'm glad your enjoying learning this beautiful song.
About Sky Tower, Clanker37 actually has a solo version of Sky Tower in his submissions thread, but it's not on-site yet. You should check it out. However, if you still want me to make a solo arrangement of Sky Tower for you, I'd be happy to, since I already know all the notes, rhythms, dynamics, and articulations of the song, due to the fact I already arranged a duet of it. Just let me know what you think, and I'll get back to you!
For Clanker37's version of Sky Tower shows up as an invalid or deleted item, so I can't hear it. Not sure what to do there.
^Oh, yep! That's because you're downloading it from my first page on my Submission. It was really bad so I deleted it on Mediafire and replaced it, but I havn't gotten around to putting the fixed version there yet. The page keeps scrolling up when I type :/
Here it is anyway Mid (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?x4d24n3b6n6zx8d) Mus (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?4wmk6nn5ac498ji) Pdf (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?4ehwsbtrxdcg4bi)
Thanks, it sounds great

True to my word, I here now present my arrangement of "Parting" from PMD 1:
[GBA/DS] Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red/Blue Rescue Team--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Parting (
SOLO):
[MIDI] (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/35209091/PMD%20Parting%20%28solo%29.mid) [PDF] (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/35209091/PMD%20Parting%20%28solo%29.pdf) [SIB] (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/35209091/PMD%20Parting%20%28solo%29.sib)
I don't know if anyone is still reading this topic, but when I went to make an .mus of my Run Away arrangement not too long ago, I discovered there were some horrendous errors in my original .sib arrangement. I'm re-posting my arrangement so that those who were originally interested in this arrangement may have a chance to see my significantly revised sheet.
