Hi everyone! Here are my arrangements! I hope you enjoy them and if you have any feedback, remember to post it! MODIFIED versions of music can be played whilst ORIGINAL music may be awkward or impossible to play. ORIGINAL ones will be playable if no MODIFIED is available. DUET or TWO PIANO sheets are always playable for one or two pianos. If you want to just listen to a piece, I strongly recommend listening to the ORIGINAL or DUET sheet as it will be the closest to the original piece. My arrangements on this site are located under my actual name, Joel Hands-Otte.
My arrangements are split into two parts. Part 1 consists of Mario-related and Zelda-related arrangements.
You can find the second part HERE! (http://forum.ninsheetmusic.org/index.php?topic=2938.480)

compositions? PLAGIARISM!
(sigh)... I meant arrangements. my bad!
That better?
Can you change the title of the thread?
Quote from: fingerz on January 03, 2011, 03:49:01 PMMy arangements have the exact time played as the actual piece of music. Not only that, but they are 100% accurate with the notes from the actual composition, so you can even play along to the music if you like.
That's a word! I hope you don't go out on a limb with that promise! ;)
(sorry to be off-topic) Holy crap! When did winter mod Submissions? xD
I offered JaMaHa to help with uploading PDFs, so to be able to edit posts to cross off completed uploads, I needed to be.
Quote from: fingerz on January 03, 2011, 03:49:01 PMHello everybody! I've made a couple of carrangements that I was going to keep for myself
OH NOES CARRANGEMENTS

xD
I can't wait to see you're accurate arrangements. If they are as great as you say, I hope they get accepted to the site :)
Well, here they are! I'll start Dusk Forest soon. :D
Pretty neat stuff there man.
I like your version of Cyrus Battle Theme. However, some parts in the treble clef near the end are unplayable because the distance required for one hand is too great.
Also, if you wish for these to be on the site, you need to follow this format. (http://www.ninsheetm.us/smf/index.php?topic=481.0)
Welcome to the site and keep up the good work.
Thanks! I've added in parts in the right and left hand that you really can't play together. The idea is to play the part that you'd prefer to.
I had a look at that before I was going to post them up. I had trouble trying to add in a metronome marking on Finale Notepad 2008 so I wrote something like 156 bmp... If someone can help me I'll change that. Thanks again! :D
I'm pretty sure with 2008 you can still change the tempo up top with playback controls.

he said add a tempo mark, not change the tempo...
nice job on these arrangements! there are just a few things im gonna pick at-
-correct formatting-when submitting sheets tho this site, they must look like this (http://www.ninsheetm.us/smf/index.php?topic=481.0). EXACTLY
-some sheets will be impossibe to play, due to the limitations of people-we only have 2 hands :) make sure everything u submit is playable
-key changes, grace notes, and other small things that u cant do with notepad-but we can fix that for u ;)
other than that, great job! hope to see u around! ;)
Alrighty! I've made them look EXACTLY like what you wanted them to and I've made them playable. If you could add in the metronome marking, that would be lovely. Hope that helped! :D
Upgraded to a demo of Finale Notepad 2011. I hope that helps and makes my arranging life a lot easier, though it's not at the moment. XD
My demo oFinale Notepad 2011 has lapsed, so I'm back to Finale Notepad 2008... Two new songs just in case anyone is interested.
Dusk Forest is wonderful! I've been waiting for this for a long time! Thank you so much!
That's okay! It's god to see that my hard work is paying off. Just got to wait and hope it gets accepted.
OMG!!! Your Dusk Forest arrangements is AWESOME!! Ninsheetmusic´s database needs more PKMN:Explorers of "something" sheets.
Oh! And I can´t find your Sootopolis arrangement, it seems you gave a wrong link! :)
Ah, thanks. I'll fix that right away.
Wow you are really awesome! Admittedly I haven't looked at any of your arrangements yet (I need to get on the computer w/Finale), but they are all songs I like! Mystery Dungeon, Mario and Luigi, and Pokemon!!!
"Friend" from Bowser's Inside Story...is that the song that plays when you meet Broque Monsieur? That will be fun to test out! ^^
I really like the Giga Bowser Battle theme from BIS, it's a remix of Bowser's main theme.
And Rowdy Rumble from Kingdom Hearts...I have not heard the remix in Re:Coded yet, only the version from 358/2 Days. Will look that up.
One request from PMD: Spinda's Cafe. It's my favorite song in the game (Exploreres of Sky only). :3 If it happens, then thanks.
OH YEAH AND SOOTOPOLIS WOO
Hahaha! Thanks Slow! Spinda's Cafe was one I've been thinking about doing, same with the Giga Bowser theme. I'll add them to my list since I've just finished arranging 3 M&L: BIS songs. :P
New Maro & Luigi Songs!! Next up is Spinda's Cafe, and that might take a while...... so forgive me if nothing else is uploaded here until after the holidays. XD
Just to let you know, I did Route 10 from BW
Good job on these... I like the songs from Mario and Luigi, especially the battle music.
Sorry for stealing Partners in Time's battle theme :-[
Jeez. You're a very prolific arranger, and the songs you're arranging are not easy either. I'm quite impressed!
I can't wait to see how the Bowser's Inside Story and Mt. Pyre Peak arrangements will turn out.

Yes, I know. Slow has also arranged Musical Hall. I'm planning to arrange them myself and see how they go. :P

That's okay! I'm eager to see how that turns out. :)
Actually, I'm finished already. It's linked to in my signature. ::)
I think it turned out pretty well.
Awesome. I'll be sure to check it out next week. :)
SLOW! Your request is done!
For everybody else, new arrangements!! Come get your Kingdom Hearts and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon! :D
A HELL of a lot more Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2/3 and one of my favourite songs from Kingdom Hearts Re:coded. I'm now starting Mt. Pyre Peak from Pokemon RSE... may God have mercy on my soul. :P
To quote Mr. Crabs I think that only this is fitting, "Holy Mother of Pearl!" Amp Plains, Drenched Bluff and Oh No! are all FREAKING AWESOME! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
:o
Spinda's Cafe, Rowdy Rumble and Clash of the Titans... <3
I don't know why you called it Clash of the Titans, I had no idea what song it was xD
So yeah. I love them. Like a lot.
Very nice arrangements! Do you accept requests? Well, I saw on your "to be arranged" list the "Route 228 Night" song, so I remembered my favourite route song of Pokemon Diamond, "Route 225 Night"! I started it, but I´m not capable of finishing such difficult song (yet! ;D), so...

Consider it added. I'm back at school now so I won't have as much time to arrange, but I'll get around to it.
New Mario & Luigi songs are coming and a few more songs that need just a bit of tweaking. :)
I hope you will take Musical Hall off your list as I have already arranged it...I will get mad if you try to replace mine as there is nothing wrong with it

I was waiting for you to post this. :P
I've made it as a duet so both your and mine are accepted. You should check out the duet, I'm very proud of it. :D
I also made sure it's not the same as yours.
Hi there! Maybe this isn´t important at all, but could you erase that NEW! on the old songs. It´s getting a little confusing now... :P
I was going to keep that for all the songs not yet submitted, but I guess you're right. :P
^You could put the songs you have on site in a separate listing. That will make it a little easier to see what's new, what's unsubmitted, and what you can find on site.

Yes... XD
I managed to buy the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon OST so now I can do quite a few songs from those games! This is going to take me a while 'cause I'm back at school AND NOBODY'S HELPING ME WITH MY SHEET FORMATTING IN THE "HELP" SECTION!! :P
WUt. PKMN MYSTERY DUNGEON OST? I MUST HAVES.
Just saw your Mt. Pyre Peak and Bowser's Inside Story Main Theme arrangements.
You did a really good job on them and they sound great! The harmonies really work well. I'm really excited to hear Cavi Cape as that's one of my favorite songs from Bowser's Inside Story. Keep up the good work as it seems there's a lot of it to do considering your list.
Look at the "Help!" section. There are two of your four "requests". Just to let you know! :)

I have some requests for you, O Godly Arranger who manages to make things playable and accurate. :D (I can do this too...but only with far easier songs, you have a knack for this).

Opelucid City (White) is possibly the best piece of music I've ever heard. You managed to match that awesomeness. Well done
Also well done about the Opening Theme from PMD 2. Lol let's see how many comments you can get on it. See if you can beat my record of 3.
Opelucid is indeed nice, but could need some 8va/8vb. I tend to set the limits on the C's, so everything below a deep C (left hand) is an 8vb, while anything about the high C (right hand) should be marked with 8va.
Musical Hall is cool too, by the way!
Thanks Cobra! I'd add in 8va/8vb if I could, but Finale Notepad 2008 doesn't allow you to... :P
When they go for submission Deku will add them in for me.
Route 228 (Night) is next! :)
Fingerz your arrangements are awesome! I had no idea that the majority of the sheets I got off of this site were yours. Dusk Forest is my favorite right now and hopefully my brother will play the opelucid duet with me. Keep up the good work! ;D
Thanks! It's good to see these sheets are going to good use. I don't play them myself, so I don't know how difficult they are to play. :P

At least you have someone to play with... :'(
True. I find that a lot of these songs sound much better as duets... which means a person trying to play it by themselves suffers, thoug I try to make single and duet sheets. :)

It's not as glorious as you think. First, he has to love the piece like he loves himself to actually practice it :P, and then there's the fact that he's only been playing piano for about 2 years.. I will commonly find myself switching between piano 1/2 to give him the easy part. Oh well lol.

Me and my teacher played Rowdy Rumble, it was fun. Also, issue with Spinda's Cafe (inaccurate notes): At the part after the "introduction" (I can't give you the actual measures since no Finale), you have incorrect notes... I know that you have the melody going down full steps rather than half steps, but I can't tell you what measure...

By full steps and half steps I take you're talking about
tones and
semitones? I'm not entirely sure what part of the melody is wrong after the intro, but I'll double check it and, if you can, could you perhaps time the place where it's wrong and give me the area (eg. 1 min 23 secs).
Thanks Slow. :)
@JDMEK5: Which song(s)?
In this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-EChc5FhL6s&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL) it's right at 0:18
Ah, I see. It's the part with the two semiquavers leading on to the next bar. Am I right? :P
I'll check it out and fix it for you. :)
Never mind. I can read 2008. :D
Yes, two of my arrangements are in FN2011, but the rest are FN2008.
I'll fix that song for you over the weekend Slow. :)
Checked the song for you Slow and found nothing wrong with the melody... It could be that I changed the base slightly so it actually sounds good on piano, but other than that I can't find anything else... :S
Sorry.
Route 228 is finished! I'm now working on the Duet version of it and it should be done by next Monday. Enjoy! :)
Route 228 is really good. But it could do with some 8av in some parts. But apart from that it's flawless.
By that you mean putting 8av above the really high parts? Yes... well... I'm using Finale Notepad 2008 and you can't add in 8va's... XD
Thanks anyway! If you liked the single sheet, just wait 'til you hear the duet. :)
Yeah, I'm looking forward to the duet. The original song is quite good, and I'm not sure that a one player arrangement can really get the full feel of the song. It is good, but it just feels incomplete.
Yes, that's exactly why I'm making a duet. The solo is nice for someone who just wants to show off their ability to play a really cool right hand. The duet will give it a complete sound with the lower parts in the treble.
I'm thinking about arranging a couple of songs from Digimon World Dawn/Dusk, such as one of the upbeat Battle Themes... anyone else got any ideas even though my TO DO list is already exploading? :P

I prefer the Day version, personally... ;)
The day version brings out the melody whilst the night version brings out the sub melody. We all have our own preferences. :D
Sorry for the delay with songs guys! I have been studying and revising for all of the weekend that just went (Psychology, Maths and Japanese exams), but I promise I'll start again next weekend. :)
Alrighty!
Finished Stark Mountain, scrapped the order of my TO DO list and went on to Route 205, made a duet, listen to M&L: PiT soundtrack and decided to do a song from there and now working on Battle on the Tracks.
Enjoy! ;D

Thanks Clanker! Battle on the Tracks is now finished.
Well, I requested Route 225 (Night) some time ago... Don´t know if someone requested Route 205 too, but as Clanker says, now we have it! :D
Oh BTW, I can´t remember, but could you resize the page size on FN2008? Only because on your "Battle on the Tracks" arrangement, there is a measure that creates another page with only that measure (nonsense, I know, it could resize automatically :P). Just to let you know! Great arrangements, as usually.
Note?: When you´re going to print, you should be environmentally-friendly, right? ;D
Hey fingerz, could you please arrange the Credits for Pokemon Myster Dungeon Blue/Red Rescue Team? It can be found here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZ51na1s2v8)
I would really like this to be done. The piece makes me so happy yet so sad at the same time and I'd really like it to be done.
*Sniff sniff*
I completely forgot about this song. It was and probably has been the only song that's ever made me shed a tear. Added to the TO DO list! :)
Castle Town: This was a lot of fun to make. I was able to soften down the guitar part so the melody comes out. Hope you like it!
Mini Boss (Dungeon): I love this song so much! The awkward timing makes it sound so cool. The duet, to me, sounds a bit crowded but only because the other lines such as the guitar and strings should be softer. I hope you enjoy these too!
Mini Boss (Tower of Spirits) is coming along nicely. :)
I've got a couple of suggestions for some of your sheets. For Battle on the Tracks it would probably be better if you cut the tempo in half and also halved the note durations (i.e. all eighth notes would become sixteenths, quarters would be eighths, etc.). Then you could change the time signature to 6/4 which fits the feel of the song much better than a really fast 4/4.
And for Castle Town, there are some theory issues. You probably want to make the first key signature with 2 flats since it seems there's very few measures where the A actually is flat. And the C and F sharps you have would make more sense as D and G flats.
Though, I don't know if you can change any of these things in Notepad.
But other than those nitpicky things, the arrangements were really good!
Thanks Sekter! You wouldn't believe it, but all those things you suggested below were on my mind when I was arranging those peices. Sadly I can't add key changes or use 6/4 time in Finale Notepad 2008! I'm planning to save up money and buy myself a newer version of Finale Notepad and a version of Finale Allegro, but that's going to be quite a while. When I get them I'll be able to change all the songs that need fine tuning. :)
So fingerz... being that you obviously have nothing on your to-do list, how would you feel about taking up a non-pokemon/mario piece which likely doesn't interest you in the slightest? Thanks man! :P
Seriously though, it's that Oswald theme. I'm always impressed by your arrangements and hoped you could work off of what JMDEK5 has been able to accomplish thus-far. If you're willing to take it up, lemme know and I'll get to postin' links.

Hoo boy, I'm with WarioMan, that looks pretty rough to play. You could possibly change the formatting on the pattern for measures 4-7, 12-15, etc, so that the bottom notes of the chords in the top staff are played by the left hand, in addition to the notes already in the bass cleft.

No worries. As the basic melody changes, they could be treated as movements in which case they could just be separated into different sheets, right?
And in response to the other post in the request section, is it really necessary for you to buy the soundtrack? I feel bad that you'd spend money to arrange a request lol. Unless you wanted it anyhow.

Hmm I knew that about the early cartoons but didn't make the connection between Wagner, Beethoven, and Oswald. That's a very cool connection. I'm still struggling to see the similarities though, are we talking about the same Oswald theme?

As long as you don't play the highest or lowest note on the tenths in the Byrne Battle, it is playable. I can see that. It'd be hard to master, but it is certainly playable.
Edit: Also, Fingerz, the mid-boss battle for the Spirit Tower is the same song as the Boss Battle for Phantom Hourglass. You might to make two copies for both games or something.

what's a .mus file anyways??
if you go on the main site. it's the file that is next to EVERY sheet on the site.
It's the file that the program most of us arrangers use recognizes. Finale saves it's files in the form of an MUS.
that doesn't really answer my question; I guess it was partially my fault: I meant a description of the file .mus because my computer doesn't allow me to open it.
Open .mus files with a free Finale Reader download here (http://www.finalemusic.com/reader/default.aspx).
Pretty much. I gave you the description. that program finale is the only thing that opens MUS's. because it is a file that is branded by FInale. .mus is short for "music", it's saving the physical score of the sheet in a file that is finale specific. It's not saving the sound like the midi does, just the structure. Finale reader will also save the files as MIDI if you want.

Yes, I've play both games and I might just put it under the original game it came from. Catching a Rabbit is also from Phantom Hourglass, when you're fishing.
New songs for everyone! I don't have time to put 'em up now but they'll be up by tomorrow. :)
Awwww, it would've been cool to see them now :-\ Oh well ;D
Sorry. It'll take an hour to upload all the songs I've finished and edited.
GOOD NEWS!! I've fixed all the repeat signs in duets and now they all repeat (when I upload them)!

I'd put the song under the original game. It probably doesn't matter much, but I just figure that a song should be known by its original name because that was its original purpose and what it was first composed for. Also, new songs! Can't wait to hear them.
When I can, I'll take a look at the new version of the Byrne Battle. I've been trying to play the original. xD
There you go folks! All the new songs have been uploaded, all the duets have been fixed and I've added a help corner. :)
Now I need to prepare some arrangements for the update.
Is it possible to play the original mus of cavi cape? :P
Also, I'm working on the tempo changes etc
EDIT: Done with both Cavi Cape's:
[MUS] (http://www.mediafire.com/?9ry3azvu1zrst91)
Duet: [MUS] (http://www.mediafire.com/?vcbqtgxwve5w1cd)
EDIT 2: Sword Training needed a lot more then a tempo change. Lot's of grace notes and 8va bars. :P
[MUS] (http://www.mediafire.com/?vyprgyoe7dw2xam)
EDIT 3:
Duet: [MUS] (http://www.mediafire.com/?80fl3fjkys11ei6)
Just checked your "Fishing (Duet)" arrangement, and I have the feeling that is the same as the normal one but only split in two parts with some extra notes. I would recommend to put those extra notes on the second layer of the normal arrangement. Be careful, some duets are unnecessary! Just a note, as I see you do a duet for almost every normal arrangement.

Yeah, the only difference is those few notes. Still, I think it would be fun to play as a duet. I love making duets now. :P
THANK YOU SO MUCH BLOOP!! I'll download them over the weekend and get them up. Yeah, sorry about the grace notes and 8vas. I was planning to do them myself when I got Finale Notepad 2011. No, Cavi Cape Original can't be played. I needed that version though. The idea of the originals is so if people don't want to play a duet, they can pick and choose parts from the Original to play. :)
Thanks everyone! :D
I went to the library on the weekend so I could download the songs you edited Bloop, and guess what I completely forgot to do whilst I was there: the songs. XD
GOD DAMNIT!! They'll be up by next weekend. ;)

Ouch...
FINALLY downloaded my arrangements! :D
Cavi Cape and Duet were perfect. Thanks Bloop!
Sword Training and Duet just need something changed a bit. The three-note lead in to each different section sounds wrong as crushed notes and I'd like someone to just edit the "Edited MUS" so they are the same as the "Original MUS". Sorry 'bout that Bloop. XD

WarioMan, your Route 225 (Night) is done and I made a duet too, but that's almost defalt with any song I arrange now! :P
Starting on some Pokemon Black/White songs now.
YAY! My favorite from D/P/Pt finally arranged! ;D
I love the duet! Thanks a lot fingerz! ;)
Route 225 (the original/playable MUS) is very good! Just one question: in the first measure (not counting the pickup measure, so technically this is the second measure) the notes for the main melody seem to be missing! xD I can hear it a bit in the bass, but do you think that there should be some hint of the main melody in the right hand? I don't know. Great otherwise though, I really enjoy this song!
I am really ashamed that I haven't commented on your arrangements yet. Sorry about that xD. How were you able to arrange such a big amount of arrangements in a short period of time?
Anyway, route 225 I agree with Slow: the melody seems to be missing. Otherwise, great arrangement! :o
There's actually nothing wrong with sword training. Finale isn't that good at those grace notes in the beginning.

...Oh... I thought the guitar was the main melody. Okay, so the other part I added into the duet is the melody. I'll fix that. XD

The Route 225 duet sounds really good. It's one of your best arrangements I think.

Route 228 (Night) and that one! :D
Quote from: spitllama on August 02, 2011, 12:36:53 PMFingerz what is the asteriked (don't think that's a word) song on your to-do list?
Oh, that means I'm planning to arrange a better version of a song that's already been made. I'm doing that 'cause I don't want the person who arranged it originally to realise I'm doing a remake. :P
I'm planning to do a duet, so they have nothing to worry about. Also, the asteriks stand for a letter from the song's title, so it's not that hard to figure it out.
Clanker, Moonview Highway is done! Making a duet which will be done by next week!
Also, I'm bumping up everyone's requests before my own songs now so I'm sorry for the wait. It won't be much longer! ;D
Here's the way it'll work:
#1 Personal reqests
#2 Group requests
#3 My own requests
Hmm... Eterna City?
Correct. I played DPPt and I listened to this music and knew I had to arrange a duet. :D
Elemental Palace: Why a pickup measure? I would start the song on the first beat. Also, a legato would be nice. Oh! And a marcato on those Gs on the left hand. Moonview Highway is really impresive, BTW! :)

Pickup measure is in the acutal song, so I'm gonna keep that in, even if it bothers you. :P
Legato is added! Marcato is added!
Moonview Highway has had a little bit of tweaking due to incorrect timing.

Quote from: spitllama on August 09, 2011, 07:21:01 PMSo what did you decide on Tabuu's theme?
Well, this song is much easier to arrange because of my upgrade, so I'll take it. :)
Hidden Land and N's Room are finished!
Hidden Land has some...
interesting... chords in it. Also, this song fits 6/4 time much better than 4/4. And please don't comment on the stupid 5/4 then 7/4 part. The tempo reverts back to A Tempo there so it's better just to do it that way.
N's Room is awesome. Seriously. :D

Hidden Land is extremely epic! I love it and (surprisingly considering how picky I am) I have no complaints. Fantastic! This song is so nostalgic; and the 6/4 time signature must have been confusing. :-\ Can't wait for Hidden Highland!

I find it how ironic when you posted this. Just as I uploaded it. :D
I was in a CBF mood when I finished it, so no duet.
I've started working on a duet of my first arrangement with the
actual bass part. I dare someone to play it when it's finished. :P
I've added some more Mario & Luigi songs that I love.
I love ALL of those songs!!! Just some name issues: "Underwater" from BIS is technically called "Waltz in the Lake" (it's not a huge deal though). Also, should be Staff Roll, not Staff Role. xD I'm guessing this was a typo though. And finally, Staff Credits from Partners in Time is technically called "Dance With Babies". :P What I do when I arrange songs with an actual title as opposed to the location of the song, I title it like something like this: "Dance With Babies (Staff Credits)". Shimomura tends to give her songs some really obscure names!
Also, Yoob's Belly is like the catchiest song ever.
Will look at Hidden Highland later! :D
Thanks for the names Slow! Her song names are quite unique. ;)

Cod Liver Oil. :(
Even worse...

And that's why there's CLO in capsules!
My sick treatment....
Sleep, drink tea, chill in bed, whine about how I feel like crud, drink more tea, have soup, shower, night time medicine, bed.
Basically tea. Lots of tea.
Right nows the perfect time to get sick for me...

Yah right :'(
The bass at the start of the song is gonna kill someone. XD
You mean where the left hand starts doing those sixteenth note runs at the beginning of the repeat? If so, then yes, it would pose quite a challenge. However, you did spread that part out between the first and second pianos, so at least it'll be easier as a whole instead having one person try to do those runs all by him/herself.

Quote from: SlowPokemon on September 29, 2011, 06:35:53 PMOmg! D: I have missed your elemental palace, final battle duet, and hidden highland arrangement, among others!! I will look at these tomorrow! (How did I miss that?)
Hahaha! Tell me what you think. :)
Everyone! I haven't been able to arrange since I'm in Japan at the current moment, but I've still been able to arrange before I went away. They'll be up some time today. :D
Heartwarming: This turned out very well and I'm very proud of it! I've moved some of the left hand parts down an octave so it doesn't clash and, personally, I think it sounds better and it's also PLAYABLE. :P
Foggy Forest (Duet): Sorry Slow, I couldn't make a solo sheet because there were way too many parts that complete the melody of the song. Every hand in this arrangement is being used for a voice and it sounds pretty darn good to me. I consider it one of my best duets to date. :D
I had started
Team Charm's Theme and will continue with it when I get home.
Heartwarming and Foggy Forest are both awesome. :)
Team Charm is the PMD equivalent of Gary Oak :P
I am so amazed with your "Heartwarming" arrangement fingerz. The song reminds me of a sweet Italian lullaby, and you re-captured that feeling into your arrangement so well. I believe the PMD 1 equivalent of this song, "Awakening", is virtually identical to "Heartwarming", so when submission time rolls around, you can submit the song to both the PMD 1 and PMD 2 sections.

Foggy Forest ~ Looks good. The left hand in piano one has some really shady-looking overlapping parts.
Heartwarming ~ Perfect!
Hidden Highland ~ You have the really weird rhythm down perfectly, my only complaint is that it feels unfinished and it seems that there is not enough in the bass.

Yeah, the French Horn and Strings parts overlap. It sounds good with the contrast in the actual piece, so I've added as much in as I can without making it sound horrible with clashing notes.

Well, when I get home I'll have a look at it. The bass doesn't actually do a lot throughout this song, but I'll try to give it more life. :)

Foggy Forest- it sounds fine, but I meant it would be extremely awkward to play.
Hidden Highland- yeah I know it's difficult to arrange songs with little bass xD it's not a huge deal.
Hm. Foggy Forest could be played as a Duet (awkward), but I left both hands together because it's a hell of a lot easier to play seperately on two pianos. I'll see what I can do for both. :D
ALRIGHTY! I AM BACK IN MY HOME COUNTRY NOW!

Hehehe... Sorry 'bout that. I was in a rush. XD
ANYWAYS, Team Charm's Theme is complete, Warioman! Come and check it out! I must admit, it was quite an easy song to write out, but very hard to play, especially the last 8 bars. Tell me what you think! :)
FINGERZ! Your Team Charm theme arrangement is spot-on! When I saw that you were in the process of arranging it the other day, I was thinking to myself, "I wonder how Fingerz is going to make a solo out that song, considering there would have to be a few parts he'd have to leave out of the arrangement." Boy did you prove me wrong!
Hahaha! Thanks Bespinben! :D
Spot on? YES! Playable? MAYBE! :P
Wow! Team Charm's Theme was a thrilling piece. I loved the pace and rhythm employed. Fun to listen to.
This piece is in F# dorian. To avoid a long theory discussion, this means it has a key signature of 4 sharps. In a simple way, it's basically the key of E if you started and ended with F#.
The chromatic passing tones should be labeled as to where they resolve. If chromatic passing tones go up, use sharps. If they go down, use flats. And naturals can be swapped for either or if applicable. If I was in the key of Bb, instead of going Eb-E#-F, I would obviously go Eb-E natural-F. And vice versa with the sharp keys. So in measure 4 and the other places this crops up, use an E# instead of an F natural. The C natural in measure 12 is correct.
When the new D major chord comes around in measure 35, I'd say keep the same key signature and mark the chord with naturals. It's better to think of that as a simple mixture chord.
Hope I helped. Great piece!
I always loved Team Charm's theme. It really captures the sense of adventure they have. Really nice arrangement, fingerz! :D
So, you've entered the Hidden Land, experienced Grovyle's sacrifice, and intent on honoring it, proceeded to climb Temporal Tower. After a long, tough climb, you finally reach the Spire. You're on the last floor, almost about to see and face Primal Dialga, almost going to save the future as time is running out, as the darkness spreads. You've just reached the stairs, and is about to go down them, when guess who shows up?
TEAM MOTHER******* CHARM -_-
It's Gary Oak all over again!
^I would have cried if that really happened.

I should've picked up the F# dorian! I fixed it all yesterday and just posted it, so it's completed!! :D
Thanks Clanker! I'm very proud of this arrangement.

I WILL!!! ;D
Alright, Wario Land music! The soundtrack was the best part of that game.
Also, Team Charm's Theme is a really catchy piece! I never played any of the PMD games, but that sounded really good.
Thanks Sekter! Yeah, this song is only in Explorers of Sky, not Time/Darkness. It's used in the special mission where Team Charm are trying to locate a mysterious treasure and it provides background information on how they know Wigglytuff. ...The minute I saw that Bellossom's eyes I knew it was a Ditto... Mm, as Jub said, I do notice things. XD
Glittertown is an awesome song to arrange, by the way. It's funny 'cause it pretty much only uses the lower half of the piano for the entire song. Still, I'm having so much fun with it, so expect it done by the latest next Monday. :)

I just thought of a wonderful song that would push some people to the edge to arrange: Lapis Cave from PMD 1. :P
Shit, I even tried counting the fricking thing out, managed to fit most of it into 7/8 and then other parts into 4/4 and then a bar of 5/4 in there somewhere too, but that song is just ridiculous! XD
I love 5/4 time. It's so wonderfully quirky.

Good luck with it! Let me know how it goes and if you need help, don't be afraid to ask. You should be fine, though. ;)
The timing's not all that bad actually. The main part can just be counted in 14 eighth notes. The best way to divide it would probably be a measure of 4/4 followed by a measure of 3/4. That's just how I count it anyway. Just 7/8 could work, but I don't think it captures the downbeats as well. When it changes to that bridge or whatever near the end (around 45 seconds in or so), regular 4/4 works fine, except for the last measure which switches to 3/4 again.
The beginning is a little more complex though cause I think it's played at a slightly slower tempo than the rest of the song, but it should kick right in to the normal pattern.
True. I was thinking the 4/4 and 3/4 myself. Still, Bespinben's doing it now... XD
It's still up for grabs if you want to do it Fingerz. I've only done the rolled chords of the first measure so far.
Nah, I'm busy, so you can do it. Besides, I have many requests to finish, my songs to finish and I'm sure you'll do a fabulous job with it anyway. :)
WarioMan! Glittertown is done! I hope you like it 'cause I enjoyed arranging it. :D
At one point, both the right-hand and left-hand are below middle C, which I think is quite funny. The song has a lot of octave leaps in the right-hand, so this is a great way to strengthen your right-hand octave playing. :)
Next, I'm taking a break from Nintendo and arranging a song from Epic Mickey, Oswald's Theme, for spitllama, I think... I'm not quite sure, but I'll find out. XD
Fingerz! Never thought it would be so awesome! ;D You caught the original feeling of the original.

Here's the thing you and Shado were discussing:
[MUS] (http://www.mediafire.com/?jkilfawawcftew0)
There are few inaccuracies and tempo mishaps but that's expected since he only spent a little bit to get out the basic melody. Hope this helps!
Ah, don't worry spitllama! I will arrange this to the best of my abilities! :D
You've got your own page on my site for your arrangements, right? If it's possible, could you upload that there for me? It's just that I can't download stuff on any storage sites at school, so that will speed up my progress. :)
I could do it without, it's just that I want to check a few things that Shado put down. Thanks spitllama!

EDIT: Posted senor
Thanks a tonne spitllama! I'll be starting on that really soon. :)
Alrighty spitllama, I've got it now. You can take it down if you want.
Also, I was thinking that because I'm helping with the Fixing The Sheets project, I should create a section on my arrangements page with a list of arrangements I've modified because, quite frankly, I've put some good effort into them and now they sound awesome. ;)
Makes sense
Good. I'm only adding songs that I've edited quite a lot in though. It's still their song, I've just made my contribution. :)
ALRIGHTY! I've added Artifact Acquisition Fanfare to my arrangement list because I completely changed it. Not that awesome, though. Only four measures long. Still, enjoy! XD
Two new requests added!
With the site being down yesterday/today, it stuffed up my front page. Just letting you know I fixed it. Thank god I saved my front page in a notepad doc. :P
All the coding screwed up, e.g. URLs, bold, colour.
Modified section added! Check it out! :)

Anyways, I couldn't sleep last night so I started arranging Oswald's Theme, and I've finished the Slow Part. I actually really like this song, but it's going to be difficult to make it a solo sheet in some parts. Still, I'll manage it. :)
Great Fingerz!
A two-piano/duet would work too, but then I wouldn't get to play it as much. Use your judgement I guess haha. I may check which parts were missing from the solo and make a follow-up duet/two-piano piece after if you don't want to do it ;D
Just saying, I can't wait for your arrangement of Opelucid city~
...as long as it's a solo XD
Ohohoho! I get it! :3
Of course! Go ahead! But please... MAKE ME PROUD! ;D That song is my favorite in WLSI! ::)
As all of you should know, I finished Pikmin 2! So, fingerz... I'm going to suggest a different style this time... Would you mind to do "Bulblax Kingdom" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lLK0t06HKw) for me? I was going to do it myself, but looking at my to-do list and other businesses, I'm afraid I wouldn't complete it until 2012! So yeah... Please? :S

Haha! I'm planning to nail the piano part for you! I'm still figuring out how I'm going to add in the low bass part with the piano though, 'cause it sounds like the piano spans more than a right-hand can reach. Still, I'll worry about that when I get to it. :D

Oswald's Theme is done! It was quite a challenge making it playable with all the different voices, but I managed it. I'm moving on to
Stormy Sea now, so you can arrange a duet using what I've got there if you want. It shouldn't be too hard either, considering I've added in all the voices except for the backing in the Proudly! part. :P
Also, I couldn't help myself but I arranged
Multiplayer Miss, which is my smallest arrangement by date. Check it out! XD
Hang on, wait, WHAT!?
Greenhorn Ruins from Wario World is the same music as Glittertown from Wario Land: The Shake Dimension! ...You have checked out that arrangement of mine, right Bloop?

20 SECONDS GRRRRRR >:C
xD Nah, still, stormy sea is cool. I'm so excited for mine though!! :3
Yep, Stormy Sea is 6/4 with the occasional 5/4 bar to bring emphasis on the start of the phrase again. I might make a duet of it as well because the bass is so simple and the song will sound empty without the string part.
I'm going to enjoy figuring out all those techno rythms and notes for your song, Nebbles. Still, I know a trickier song which I hope no one ever asks me to arrange. XD
What is it?
I'll never tell you! I'll only tell you it's from Wario Land: The Shake Dimension.
Excited for Stomry Sea! :D
I am too! Beware though, I've just received a tonne of homework for my upcoming Psychology, English and Maths exams. I mightn't have a lot of time to arrange for the next couple of weeks. XD

Well, I've started working on
Opelucid City (Black) and I tell ya, those first 9 measures are the hardest. The bass does some pretty interesting rythms and, just to top it off, the treble just goes ballistic. I'm doing well, though. XD
Oh this is will be interesting. I can't wait!! :D
Yeah, you're going to try and learn this, right? I'll make it as playable as possible.
The best part of the song is that after measure 9, the bass pretty much stays as a solid beat for the rest of the time. That makes my job a lot easier. :)

Bloop, I'll fix
Glittertown for you soon. :)
Yay! You can delete Greenhorn Forest from Wario World out of the list then.
Hey Bloop, I checked the speed of the song with the original track of Glittertown, and it's the exact same speed. If you're saying that it's taken faster in the Greenhorn Forest version, I'll just leave it at the one I arranged for. If you're going to play it like the Greenhorn Forest version, just play it faster than what I've already marked down. :)
I've done a little more work on Opelucid City (Black) and I've nearly finished the first 9 measures. The rythms are awesome and I'm getting through it. I'll finish those bars tomorrow. :D
Oh yes, I have a question? No one has arranged and officially uploaded a version of Humoresque of a Little Dog (the SSBB version), have they? If not, and no one is working on it, you know where it's going. :P

Oh yeah, it's been done for some time now, just waitin' for an update. I'll upload it when I get home.
The cool thing about that piece(Imo) was that you never herd the same melody twice-they had 4 diferent openings and 4 different endings. It just randomized the order they were played every time.
...So that explains why it's so damn long, nearly 8 minutes! XD
Well, if you've already done it, Olimar, I'll take it off my list. I'm sure Olimar's is top notch, WarioMan. :D
Well I just thank you both for doing a Pikmin song. Hope you can get another one going later!
Someone will request a Pikmin song eventually.
Can that someone be me please?
Yes, anyone is allowed to request songs. I won't deny them, my list just grows longer. :P
How about the "boss battle" song from Pikmin 2? I always thought that was a cool song:

How's Opelucid coming along?

Wow, I'm actually working on that one now! Its really interesting, 5/8 time with alot of off-beat hits! its a blast to count! lol.
Don't worry Nebbles, it's going great! I haven't done anymore since I last posted because I'm preparing for my English and Psychology exams this upcoming Tuesday. After that I'll be back to arranging. :)
Good luck on your exams, then~
Thanks! Back to work, then. XD
@Bloop: Sorry man, I forgot to download the Glittertown stuff on the weekend because I was so busy. I'll fix it up next weekend. XD
@Moose: Sorry Moose, I forgot to download the song and listen to it. I've been so busy studying I forgot! I'll do that next weekend too.
@blueflower: I'm pretty sure Olimar will have his version of the boss battle done, and to a high standard. Unless you don't like Olimar's version when it's done (I highly doubt you won't like it), I'll arrange it for you. :)
@Nebbles: I've finally finished the first 9 measures! The rest of the song is relatively easy from then on, so after my exams you'll see a lot more work getting done.
Well, I had myself 30 minutes to spare, so I decided to arrange a short but catchy piece of music from New Super Mario Bros. called Mega Mushroom! I also arranged a duet for people mad enough to tackle the top right-hand part. Enjoy! :D
Oooh yayyy!!!
XD I might show it to my piano teacher and be like "Dude look what I'm gonna learn."
Hahaha! I'm glad you like it. :)
I'm sorry guys, I haven't got much time at the moment due to my exams (I just finished my Psychology exam and my English one is this afternoon) but I managed to finish a 2-measure song last night. Yes, sad it is, but it's a song nevertheless. I hope you enjoy Start Your Engines (Race). :P
good luck on your English exam! C:
Thanks Nebbles! Then I have to worry about a Maths exam next Tuesday. XD
ALRIGHTY! I've done more work on Opelucid City (Black) and I'm almost half-way through it now. I also fixed the key signature for Start Your Engines (Race), but that's it for now. XD
Yaaay! :D
More work on Opelucid City (Black) has been done! I've completely finished the bass and now I'm writing out the last 20 measures of the right-hand. Won't be long now. I've added a couple of songs I would like to (eventually) arrange to my TO DO list. :P
I would just like to say that around next year in February, I start the serious years of my high school life, working towards my final score for getting into uni. This means I won't be anywhere near as active and my rate of pumping out arrangements will dramatically decrease. This can't be helped, and I'm sorry, so starting from the new year I'm going to arrange like I have never before! By the start of next February, I'm expecting a good chunk, if not all, of that TO DO list to be gone. You will get your arrangements. I. Will. Complete. That. List.
Wish me luck. :D
Opelucid City (Black) is complete, Nebbles! I must say, I've enjoyed arranging this song. It has some really interesting rythms throughout it, especially the last six measures. I hope you all enjoy it! :D
Next up, Tabuu's Battle Theme from Super Smash Bros. Brawl for spitllama.
YAAAAAAAY ;v; <3 -hugs forever-
Quote from: Nebbles on November 20, 2011, 01:07:00 PMXD I might show it to my piano teacher and be like "Dude look what I'm gonna learn."

@fingerz - Opelucid City was awesome. Transcribing that must've been a pain with all those funky rhythms. Kudos!
I'm glad you like it, Nebbles! :D

Oh, it did Bespinben. Those first 9 measures were the hardest, and the last 6 measures. The whole song sounds pretty good to me. Thanks for the compliments! :)
Whoa :o I am amazed how accurate that it. I was seriously wondering how you were going to be able to pull it off but nice job. Feels like I'm playing Pokemon again!
Yay! Wish me luc with my next song. That's gonna be the hard one. XD

The only problem with making an arrangement with that song is translating all the various FX to something that resembles that on the piano. Just my thoughts though.
"Marble Garden Zone (Act 1) from Sonic 3 & Knuckles"
I was actually planning on arranging this, do you mind if I take it?

I'm not fussed. Moose wanted it as a request, but I've got plenty of them. Go ahead. I'm sure yours will be as good or even better than mine. :D
Well folks, Tabuu's Battle Theme is done! I had a lovely time writing this out, figuring out the different time signatures and the awesome rythms. I highly recommend listening to the ORIGINAL if you want to see howimpossible this song is.
Here were the problems I encountered with this song:
1) At one point, it went an E above the highest C on a piano.
2) There is two measures with semi-quaver triplets, and at that speed, it's kinda not playable.
3) The speed of playing one note continuously in the bass is impossible.
Anyways, hope you enjoy the song. If you're going to try and learn this beast, good luck. :D

Thanks! Yeah, not too long to wait now. Starting from mid-next week, I'll have all the time in the world to arrange. :)
Oh...my...gosh.
I just listened to Tabuu's Battle. :o :o :o :o :o AMAZING!!!
Now you should do the Brawl version of the O2 battle theme from Kirby 64. (If you want to... ;))
Hahaha! I know when a request is a request, even if it is subtle. I'll add it to my TO DO list. :)
Forest Temple
Earth Temple
Lanayru Mining Facility (Past)
from Skyward Sword
(...those are requests)
Aye aye! Added to my list as well. :D
You might want deleting Greenhorn Forest from the list before it's to late :P
Why would I delete Greenhorn Forest? Has it already been arranged?
Well, because it's actually Glittertown. I said Greenhorn Forest because I didn't wanted to look arrogant, saying a remix...
XD

Everyone! Hello there! My first week off is coming to an end. With it I bring ten new arrangements, two of which were requests. XD
I got a little bored and decided to arrange some not-so-serious pieces and I finished two of the more serious songs from the game Mario Sports Mix. Hope you like 'em! More is coming your way! :D

I just forgot to put it up. Hope you like it!
I've added my stats for 2011. Dunno why, it just looked good to me.
Also, I'm sorry for the lack of arranging. My 3DS has taken the better of me, and I lose motivation for anything during the holidays. More to come soon! :D
Yay you're back Fingerz!!! I did so much arranging while you were gone :P I was almost tempted to steal "There's Trouble" (Team Meanie's theme) from you, but I resisted.
Thanks, Bespinben. I'd have to kill you if you took that. :P
I'll check out those arrangements of yours. :)

*cough* hello there. I must say I'm looking forward to your Maple Treeway duet.
So am I! Hopefully I'll get that far down before 2013. XD
OMG! Anyone played Super Pokemon Rumble recently? There are heaps of songs I want to do! NOBODY TAKE Westerly Town and Northerly Town.

Alright! WarioMan and everyone, new songs!
Northerly Town: Sorry, couldn't help myself. Such a beautiful song! Please listen to the SOLO sheet, download it and learn to play it. :D
Gurgle Gulch: Man, this didn't take long after I really dug into it. The chords in this song are immense! Playable too. Hope you like it! :D
Fingerz. Northerly Town was amazing. I would buy that game just to hear that song, but, alas, I'm too stubborned about the stupid My Pokémon Ranch mii-fied 3D Pokémon models being used in that game.
Hahaha! I'm glad you like it! It's not that hard to play either, so I'm going to learn it. :)
New arrangement!
Menu Select Themes (Duet): You know me! I love Mario Kart songs! Besides, these themes leading up to a Grand Prix or Battle are fricking awesome! The way they build upon each other is amazing! Hope you enjoy the arrangement as much as I enjoyed arranging it! :D

They're up! I present to you what happens when you give me 3 days of nothing to do before going back to school: 32 new arrangements!
They're all from Super Mario 3D Land! Enjoy!
Well, I'd have to say my favourites are Overworld, Jazzy Overworld and Special World 8 (5 Stars). Those songs really stand out as being awesome. I LOVE Special World 8 (5 Stars) because of its chords, the chords, THE CHORDZ&*(%&^R*^%E- You get the drift. Let me know which ones you like. :)
AHHHH XD I HAVE THE MAIN THEME ALMOST COMPLETED
Ah well I will look at yours anyway
MUS (http://www.mediafire.com/?w08pola2v9j881x)

That's pretty good, Slow! Now take a look at mine. :P
Also, the songs have been added to my front page now. Check 'em out! :D
Whoa... yours is awesome and way more accurate. But, uhm. It's also very hard, too hard for me to bother learning it. It's an amazing arrangement though, I love it.
If you would like a simplified version of a song, just let me know! :D
Make sure you tell me if you want the Overworld or Main Theme, 'cause they're both very different songs. :)
You have to have your average completion time all the way down to the second. Just because it's funny being so accurate. :P
That is accurate! 3.3 days is exactly 3 days, 7 hours, 12 minutes. :P

Lol no thanks...I'll stick with my own version and make it a bit more accurate.
I've fixed up Jazzy Overworld and Jazzy Overworld (Duet)! I realised I was missing a 4-bar intro. XD
FINGERZ I really need you to do that SSBB Legend of Zelda Main Theme arrangement, its for an assignment (I'm going to make variations of it) So can you make it on top of your priority arranging list? PRETTY PLEASE?
....Oh, alright.
When's it needed by?
a week at the very latest :)
WHOA! You do realise I'm in my senior years of high school, right? I have to do a minimum of 4 hours study! XD
I really don't think I'd be able to get it done by then. Sorry. I'll start working on it when I can, but if I were you, I'd ask Deku or Shado or someone else who's got the time right now to whip it up for you. Sorry! XD
Hahaha sure, no problem. I didn't realise that you have do SOO much study!!!!
I'll just try my best to figure it out by ear.
Spitllama and I have put our heads together to arrange Great Fairy's Fountain Theme (Duet) from The Legend of Zelda: 25th Anniversary CD! Make sure you check out this fine arrangement! :D
*cough cough*
I understand it's been a little while... Understatement, I know. I've been busy! But, I do have something for you! I've completed a better version of Waluigi Pinball from Mario Kart DS because we know it needed a replacement. I hope you all like it! :D
Nice one! Also, one little thing... Don't you think is time to organize your arrangements by game? Searching a song is becoming harder and harder with new updates. :P
Something like, y'know:
[Console] Game name
- Name of song 1 [Mus] ...
- Name of song 2 [Mus] ...
(And so on)
And alphabetical order! (just a suggestion :))
Yup! I'll work on that so it's easier to find songs. :)
Also, I've done a new version of Ice Cavern from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time because the other one I was learning was so wrong it wasn't funny.
Well I actually say the one on the site is harder to play. However, this one is accurate and easy to play, great job on this. Also thanks for 'telling' the trick for arpeggiated chords in the right and left hand using the glissando tool :P
...The one on the site is harder to play?? It's even easier than mine! XD
Quote from: fingerz on April 17, 2012, 02:43:09 PM...The one on the site is harder to play?? It's even easier than mine! XD
Oh, wait, I mixed the one on the site with one on another site. Woops.
I just read and heard your Menu Screen from Mario Kart 7. Excellent job! I couldn't believe it was different at first to be honest.
The onlyyyy suggestion I have is that you only use F naturals through the piece, not E#s. The F naturals form a Maj 9 chord with the notes (F A C E G) that your current spelling neglects. You use an F natural later when the melody has the pitch, so for both reasons, F natural should be used.
Another completely random thing, but I rarely check topics as much as I used to. But when I saw yours I was so overwhelmed by how many arrangements you've done. Keep up the good work!
Is there any way you can organize them though? I may not be the first to ask, but it would make things a lot simpler should I know exactly what games you have arranged for.
EDIT: Yep. Definitely been asked for already. So just keep on pumping out the arrangements!
Hahahaha! Thanks pumpy! I'll fix that up for you. And yes, I'm working on changing my front page to make it easier for people to locate songs. :)
Alrighty! It's fixed! Now I just need to get around to ordering all these arrangements! XD
Comments on the SM3DL update sheets:
"Clock Tower" - you're missing the intro
"Jazzy Overworld" - good
"Jazzy Overworld (Duet)" - good
"Main Theme" - technically this song is called "Title," since the main theme is the regular Overworld theme, but the song itself looks great
"Overworld" - again, this is called "Main Theme," but it's not a huge deal; also, have you considered changing those 32nd notes to simple grace notes? It seems that that would make it a little easier on the eyes...otherwise, song looks good
All World themes look good. I find the duets to be kind of frivolous and unnecessary, but I suppose they are for far less advanced pianists? Also, the official names for the special worlds are "World S1" "World S2", etc. This would also clean up the page, making the worlds appear in chronological order.
"Staff Roll" - good
So let's see, we're still missing a lot of the soundtrack. This really helps the site get going on it though, nice job Fingerz.
Fingerz we miss you. Come back to us with more arrangements
I bet he's going to surprise us all with a lot great arrangements! :o

I f u cant decide which song u want to do next i cant wait to see coconut mall from mario kart wii!!!!
Hahahaha! Well, I'm hard-pressed for time at the moment, but I'll see if I can squeeze in some arranging here and there for you all. :)
Hi everyone! Just realised that I can't live without arranging music so I'm starting up business again!!! I'm currently working on changing my front page to make things easier for people to find arrangements, so expect quite a change in the near future! :P
Here's what I've just done:
1.) Fixed up both Northerly Town and Northerly Town (Duet) as they were missing a small phrase in the left hand. I noticed this because I've started learning it and it sounds rather empty without it!
2.) Added the 4 extra bars to Clock Tower (Main Theme 'cause the soundtrack I have is shit and left them out of the recording for some strange reason...
3.) Arranged Throwback Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy 2 for the piano since I've already made a stage band arrangement... just made sense to do that, I guess...
Here's what I'm gonna fix up:
1.) I'm going to go back and see if I can change the bass line in Gurgle Gulch since it makes NO SENSE AT ALL after the main theme has passed. I want to make it friendly to play as I REALLY want to be able to play it!
2.) I'm going to have to fix up Foggy Forest (Duet) because for some strange reason some of the notes have changed in the arrangement, AND some of the rhythms too. I'm not sure why, but I'm gonna fix them up and check out all the rest of my arrangements to make sure nothing has gone wrong with the rest of them!!
Also, I have a few changes to the way I'm gonna work from now on:
1.) I will not be accepting every request I'm thrown since it puts pressure on me to do it and sometimes they're even songs I don't like, which puts me off arranging. Don't feel shy to ask, though! Just 'cause I've never heard a song before doesn't mean I won't like it and consider arranging it! But that does mean I will only be arranging songs I like from now on.
2.) My TO DO list won't have an order now. I will just pick and choose what I want to do whenever, so songs will come as I feel like doing them. The song I'm currently working on will be displayed at the top of the list still.
Anyways, hope this helps! I'll only be arranging when I can, but at least you now know I'm working again! :D
Wow, I really liked the piano arrangement of Throwback Galaxy :D I might just learn this instead of the original Bob-Omb Battlefield...
Quote from: Nebbles on September 18, 2012, 08:13:28 PMWow, I really liked the piano arrangement of Throwback Galaxy :D I might just learn this instead of the original Bob-Omb Battlefield...
Yeah, our Bomb-Omb Battlefield is severly lackluster. It would be better to learn this one instead.
Alrighty!! I've fixed up Foggy Forest, so it's all good now! I've also fixed up a couple of notation issues with Normal Battle, but other than that the rest of my arrangements are still good!
I'm gonna work on Gurgle Gulch now and fixing up my front page, then I'll do some arranging. :)
Bob-omb Battlefield in the Mario piano sheet music book is a fantastic arrangement
^This.
Well, as it turns out, I did some arranging before looking at Gurgle Gulch (which seems to be fine actually; can't find anything to simplify in the bass unfortunately XD)! I'm going to start working through the songs from Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 'cause they're 8 bit music and SOO easy to arrange! :P
I present you with Invincible Wario and a duet too! It's quite a weird little tune, but I fell in love it and many others from this game whilst playing it on my 3DS. :)
I'm also currently fixing my front page, so don't be alarmed if things don't work too well over the next hour!
Enjoy! :D
Hi everyone! I have another arrangement for you called Stage Theme I from Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3. It's basically the underlying theme for this entire game, so it makes sense to arrange it, plus it sounds cool! :P
Next up, Stage Theme IV!
Awesome, Wario Land music! ;D
And btw, the composer is Ryoji Yoshitomi, not Yoshitomi Ryoji. I know that in the credits is written as Yoshitomi Ryoji, but its because in japanese they put the surname first in some games. The same happens with Kozue Ishikawa. :)
Thanks for that WarioMan! I'll get around to fixing that, I promise! XD
Alright folks! A WHOLE new bunch of arrangements for everyone!!
Stage Theme IV - Quite a creepy little tune leading up to a boss fight... The silence is what builds suspence! >:D
Stage Theme VII - Another interesting tune when conquering levels in Wario Land. I just love the bass line! :D
Stage Theme VIII - Quite a cheesy little tune that carries the main melody of the game throughout it. Man these songs are easy to arrange. ;)
Last Fight - I LOVE this tune! Perfect for a last boss. I'd really like to see someone play the last 3 measures properly. That would make my day. :P
Potion Shop - This song was a blast to arrange! I just love the treble with all it's odd rhythms! I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed arranging it!
Amity Square - FINALLY got around to doing this beautiful song and I even made a duet which I think sounds really nice! I'm happy I could arrange this as it still shows that I can arrange big-scale things! XD
Lava Battle Theme - Just a nice simple battle theme from a Pokemon game with music that rivals the greatest of music from the PMD series. I'm really looking forward to arranging more songs from this game. :)
Anyways, I hope this is enough to satisfy your hunger at the moment. Expect more when I'm next on! :D
Ohhhhh wow he's back.
:)
Ahahahaha! Yes, I am! I'm gonna be pumping them out for the next 2 weeks until I have school again... Then I'll have exams all the way through 'til the end of November so you won't see too much coming from me then, sadly. :(
BUT I'll be back for plenty more when I get to December! :D

Hmm... I'm going to be gone from NSM for 2 years in about 4 weeks myself... I CHALLENGE YOU TO AN ARRANGEMENT CONTEST!
Btw, I loved the OoT potion shop arrangement. You nailed it ;) sometimes I like fiddling with E harmonic minor, and it reminds me of this song (you know, since it sounds all arabic and whatnot)

Oh, I know! Sounds SOO amazing, no? I especially love that last little rif the right hand has, how it's JUST behind the beat. I was suprised no one's arranged this one yet, seeing as we've kinda just completed a community project on OoT... XD

The contest will be similar to the one I had with Shadoninja at the beginning of summer a few months back. To win, one must amass the most amount of brownie points. Brownie points are awarded on the basis of 1 point per arrangement, with an extra 0.5 point bonus if an two arrangements are made within two days. Additional 0.5 point bonuses may be awarded from one person to the other (but not to himself) for a particularly awesome arrangement.
Okay then! We can discuss this more the next time I'm on (probs a couple of days)! 'Til then! >:D
can u do coconut mall or bowsers castle from mario kart wii soon please? :)
i see its on your to do list!

Ooooh, yes, alright! I'll get around to
Coconut Mall very soon... There are some songs I fear arranging because I want to make them as good as I can yet I fear something terrible will happen!! That's one of them. XD

Thank you! It took a little while, but now that it's sorted rather well I hope people can find what they want! :)
Alrighty! I have a new arrangement for you all! I present
Mini Mario from New Super Mario Bros. It took about half an hour to arrange and it was heaps of fun to do too! Hope you like it! :D
I would've liked to have finished
Yoob's Belly (Duet) for you all today, but because I've been arranging at night time (when it's VERY quiet), the late nights have taken their toll. I'm SOOO drowsy today it's not funny! I'm barely staying awake right now whilst typing this... Anyways, I'll have that done for next time and hopefully some more. :)
Night everyone! XD
FINGERZ vs. BESPINBEN!!! (Second & Third arrangements [done on the same day too])
Hi everyone! I have two new arrangements for you that I did yesterday! Hope you like 'em! :)
Yoob's Belly (Duet) - Well this wasn't gonna work with just one piano. I feel as if the creepiness was captured pretty darn well in this arrangement. Quite spooky at the start, actually! :P
Desert Battle Theme - Man I love this song! It's really beautiful to listen to whilst smashing up toy Pokemon in a gusty desert. Such a beautiful melody! :D
Next up, my favourite song from Sonic Rush: What U Need.
Quote from: fingerz on September 28, 2012, 08:32:45 PMDesert Battle Theme - Man I love this song! It's really beautiful to listen to whilst smashing up toy Pokemon in a gusty desert. Such a beautiful melody! :D
At this speed, the octave mordents at the beginning are not playable. Just do the mordent on the top note (like, write a dotted quarter in layer 2 for the bottom note and have the top layer have the mordent [better yet, just write out the notes in whole]).
I can do that if you wish. However, mordents are only played for the top note anyway. That's why I didn't seperate the notes and put the bottom one into another layer. :)
Quote from: fingerz on September 28, 2012, 08:53:50 PMI can do that if you wish. However, mordents are only played for the top note anyway. That's why I didn't seperate the notes and put the bottom one into another layer. :)
Is that how they're understood? Hmm. Guess wikipedia doesn't tell one everything. Still, you do have a case of playback that doesn't align with how the sheet would actually be played, that much I know.
FINGERZ vs. BESPINBEN!!! (Seventh to Twelfth arrangements)
Hi again! I have another six arrangements for you all since I was last on! BE WARNED, my holiday period is ending from next Monday so I will be reducing my daily arranging to weekly arranging, meaning I'll do one or two arrangements MAX per week! Sorry! I have exams coming up! Can't be helped! XD
Forest Battle Theme - Man this is such an amazing song! It's frantic yet light-hearted at the same time and makes smashing up toy Pokemon that much more interesting! Actually, the soundtrack I have for this game is SOOOO damn shit I'm suprised I can actually arrange songs from this game. It was very satisfying to play my arrangement and the original song together and find that all the chords in the left hand are correct! *phew!* XD
Treetop Tumble - Now, before you listen to either the single sheet or the duet, listen to this (http://www.ninsheetm.us/sheets/DonkeyKong/DonkeyKongCountry3:DixieKongsDoubleTrouble/TreeTopTumble.mus)! This is the original Treetop Tumble from the original SNES version. Now listen to the version from the GBA version that I've done. YOU SEE? David Wise is a genius!!! Whenever I hear this song, I always picture the level where you're climbing through the trees to excape from this FLAMING SAW chasing you. Such up-beat music for a peril situation! Personally, I think it fits better. :P
Hauntyard Battle Theme - This song is just amazing!! It fits perfectly for battling ghost Pokemon! It starts off really creepy at the start and becomes really majestic and beautiful by the end. Man the song I had to work off for this was soooo shit! Anyways, that's it for all the battle themes from this game! On to the town themes! :D
Awawawawa! - Ohohohoho! Arranging this was so much fun that I couldn't help but make a duet as well! This song is based of the Super Mario Galaxy version but this one sounds a lot better! You hear it when you verse some comical bosses and it's really catchy! Hope you like it! :D
will u do mario kart wii ones soon please?
WHOOPS! For some odd reason I accidentally edited my previous post! Look at that for all the new stuff! XD
Yes wariopiano! I'll try and do them soon, however, I'm a little hesitant to start the harder songs just yet. I'm working my way up the difficulty chain in terms of what songs I have. :)
Hello everyone! :D
Found some time over the weekend to revamp Thwomp Volcano from Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time! I'm planning to do a little more arranging over this year since I've decided I want to follow a career in arranging/composition of music. SO, expect more coming your way very soon. :)
Also, I've been putting together small ensemble arrangements of mostly Paper Mario Sticker Star music, so if anyone would like to take a look at 'em, just let me know and I'll add them to my huge list of stuff! :D
Yay fingerz is still alive!! :D

Welcome back Fingerz! I missed ya! Stay this time..... :'(
Oh yeah! I'm still alive! :P
Slow, I don't mind putting together that song! What did you want it for; piano or a small ensemble with the actual instruments used? :)
Either one would be fun! That's just one of my favorites from that game.

btw, awesome tune up of my Thwomp Volcano arrangement! *claps*
And welcome back!
Can't wait to see block plaza :)
Hi everyone! I know this isn't terribly arrangement related, but I've had to put together some pieces for a school assignment and I thought that you might all want to listen to them once I've uploaded them. :)
The first one is a composition of mine called Cuban Conchord which is a Cuban/Latin piece I've put together for a composition task. I'm not a percussionist, so I hope you find it alright. I haven't included a MUS file of it as the percussion parts won't sound the same due to incorrect notation, so you'll have to listen to the MP3 whilst staring at the PDF file if that's what you want to do. :P
Cuban Conchord:

[MP3] (http://marioandluigi.wikidot.com/local--files/forum:thread/Cuban%20Conchord.mp3)
I've also done a woodwind orchestration of Musical Hall from Pokemon Black/White Versions, but I haven't finished doing the final touches to it. I'M SORRY!! I promise to have it ready in a few days, so please be patient! It's not an exact arrangement either, so I think you'll find it quite satisfying. :)
Catcha later! :D
Alright folks, here's Musical Hall for a woodwind army! I hope you like it! I've made it somewhat similar to the actual piece (except a few changes here and there), plus I've added in my own little twist to it to make it a little more complex than just the 49 seconds that it really is... XD
Musical Hall:
[ZIP] (http://marioandluigi.wikidot.com/local--files/forum:thread/MusicalHallW.zip)
This includes a MUS, PDF and high-quality MP3 file for you to listen to. I think it's worth the extra effort, that's why I've done this. Enjoy! I hope I can contribute more soon! :D
I never knew pokemon was mario.
Oh, be quiet! XDDD
It's not a formal update, more of a tack-on. I haven't really got time to change any of this 'cause I've got stuff to do now, but I'll officially fix this up in December when I FINALLY have time! :D
'Til then, Pokémon is indeed Mario. :P
Hi everyone! Just thought I'd let you know that I've officially FINISHED Year 12 and now have a solid three months before I start Uni, so within that time I'll be arranging plenty to quench not only your thirst, but my own! ;)
To kick-start it off again, I thought I'd do an arrangement of Decisive Battle from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, seeing as I don't think there's an arrangement of it yet. Too bad if there is 'cause I went ahead and did it anyway! :P
Also, before I REALLY start doing some new ones, I'm gonna go back and make my way through all my old arrangements and make them more playable, accurate and visually appealing 'cause I nearly cried a couple of days ago when I looked at some... XDDD So! That's where I'm starting! I've redone Musical Hall from Pokemon Black/White and managed to make a decently hard solo arrangement of it too. Good luck to anyone who attempts it. ;)

That's all for now! Expect more sometime soon... when I have internet again! XDDD
Glad your back :)
Cant wait to see some more :)
What Subjects did you do for your HSC?
@mariolegofan: Thanks! I'm glad to be back too! :D
@Yugi: I studied English, Maths Methods, Music Performance, Japanese, Physics and Psychology for my VCE. Hopefully I've done reasonably well and can get a high ATAR score for it all! Not that I need an ATAR score for music, but it'd be nice. ;)
Oh yeah, I'll make sure I tell you what I've changed in the arrangements so you know what to look for. :P
Musical Hall: Made it more visually appealing and parts more sensibly distributed throughout the different hands, incorrect chords changed, missing notes added, wrong baseline notes fixed (OH MY GOD I CAN'T BELIEVE I STUFFED SOME OF THEM UP!! XDDD) and some other parts added for interest.
I'll be going through my pile alphabetically (which means nothing to any of you 'cause I've filed them in a really weird alphabetical way), so I'll be working through all the Pokemon Black/White titles now. 'Til next time, friends! :D
More revamping done, folks! I've been a bit slack due to the FREAKING AWESOME NEW ZELDA GAME, but yeah... More soon! XDD
N's Room: I've condensed it into a single Original/Playable sheet 'cause it really is playable with both hands... I just didn't see it! Fixed up a few wrong & missing notes and a couple of extra things too.
Opelucid City (Black): Thank goodness there's not much wrong with this one! Just a few changes such as the size of the pages and making it easier to read (no more F flats! XDD).
Next up is Opelucid City (White), and BELIEVE ME, it needs a revamp... XDDD
Awesome! ;D I dont see any problems or mistakes with any of your new arrangments. Excellent Job :)
Cant wait to see Block Plaza :)
Yay! I'm glad they're better! XD
Yeah, so am I! I'll be deciding as to whether I stick to this list seeing as there's HEAPS of new songs from games that I want to arrange. You'll just have to see what I pump out, I guess. :P
Oooh, you fixed up Opelucid City! :D Wonderful!
Hi everyone! I've actually got a NEW arrangement for you today! I've done a Duet (Two Pianos) version of Lorule Field from The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds 'cause I LOVE this tune SOOOO much! I was devastated when it disappeared after completing all the temples... :(
Anyways, I hope you enjoy it! I haven't made it my most playable arrangement, but it's certainly an impressive one. To me, it's a great way to show that my skills have been improving whilst not doing any arranging this year. XD

Well, I've decided that I'm gonna arrange one new piece every time I finish revamping one of my old ones, just to keep me interested and hopefully you as well! Also, I've changed my TO DO list to a CONSIDERATION list as I may or may not do those tunes. And I won't tell you which one I'm working on so you'll have to wait and see it when I've finished it! Exciting, no? ;)
Quote from: fingerz on December 01, 2013, 01:59:33 PMExciting, no? ;)
Well....as long as you do Block Plaza...I dont care :)
Oh yeah, it's being done! It's just that I might change my mind about a few of 'em, that's all. I WILL get around to it sometime soon, it's just that I'm gonna do some other things first. :)
Awesome :)
Take your time :)
Fingerz, this is fabulous. Such a good arrangement. I just have a couple thoughts:
1) Shouldn't there be three flats? Isn't it in C minor? Am I making a noob mistake?
2) When you first enter a section of the field for the first time, Hilda gives you a little intro before launching into the main theme. Whenever this happens, though, there's about a 6-measure awesome sounding intro to what you've arranged. Would you consider adding that in?
You can hear it right about 30:50.

And welcome back Fingerz :)

Yay! I'm glad you like it! I thoroughly enjoyed arranging this one! It took me a bit of time, but I'm glad it turned out alright. I can happily say that it's my favourite arrangement now! :D

Yeah, I thought it was in C minor, but after listening to it for a bit, I decided that it's actually a C dorian (B flat major starting on C). If you do protest that that's not the case, just let me know and I'll change it. XD

I actually wanted to add this is, but I couldn't find a good recording of that intro... I'll look around for something decent and add that to my arrangement soon. :)
Well folks! I'm finished with my revamping of
Opelucid City (White) for single sheet and two pianos! MY GOD WAS THERE A LOT WRONG WITH IT!! I spent roughly 8 hours reworking these damn things! But, after all of that I'm finally satisfied with them. Tell me what ya think! :D
I also have another song for you all! I was going to do something else from A Link Between Worlds, but I was listening to a particular piece and decided to do it instead. So, I present you with
VS Dark Rust Theme from Super Pokemon Rumble! It's literally my most impossible piece yet! You'll see what I mean when you listen to it. Personally, it's a very powerful piece and I LOVE it sooooo much! If anyone could learn to play this, I'd be their number one fan forever! :P

I haven't put that on the front page of my arrangement thread because I've gone over the 40,000 character limit per post... WHAT DO I DO?? :( Should I make a second page here now and create a link from the first one to here? Any ideas?!? XDDD
By the way, thanks Deku! It feels great to finally have the freedom to arrange again. I can't wait to produce some good-quality works to impress you all once again. :)
Don't make a second thread, just a second post if you have to. But I'd recommend taking away all of your formatting. Looking at your first post, your arrangements are italicized, bold and blue, and you really only need one of them if that. I recommend bolding your arrangements, since the color formatting takes a lot of characters. If you do that for all of your arrangements you can get a bit more room. Also your opening paragraph is quite long.
Oh, another way is instead of listing every individual arrangement, just create categories.
i.e., make a heading "Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story" and under that put all of your arrangements from that game so you don't need to type "from Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story" for every single arrangement. That also would make your post a lot easier to read.
You can try sending Jamaha a PM and see if he'll increase it a little.
Please don't post anything right now!! I'm currently trying to make a new page for my second 'front page' for my arrangements, so just let me finish this and then you can post again. :)
Aaaaand doing the same thing again. :P
Now I'm up to 14! Just need to do 15 to make it to a new page. :)
Alrighty! Sorry about all of that! Now I can fix it up. :)

RIGHT! Sorry about that! Now I'm REALLY done with all that. I think I'll take what Slow said back there into consideration and rework my pages. :)
Now, I have a plethora of new arrangements for you all 'cause I got bored revamping all my old ones! XD I've renamed PLAYABLE sheets to MODIFIED as it makes more sense and now DUETS are either ONE or TWO PIANOS. I did revamp Lakeside Limbo, so you can check that out if you want to. Just a bit of rhythmic stuff to fix, that's all.
REVAMPED! Lakeside Limbo from Donkey Kong Country 3

Oh yes, I added in the 6 bars of epicness to the start of Lorule Field (Duet) so be sure to check it out! :D
NEW! Lorule Field (Duet) from The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
[Two Pianos ZIP] (http://marioandluigi.wikidot.com/local--files/forum:thread/LoruleFieldDuet.zip)
Because Yuga is such an awesome guy and I really liked the original final boss music for Ganon, I decided to arrange the new version! There's a duet and a single sheet for anyone who wants to attempt it! The first bar is really the only hard part. :P

Although Super Pokemon Rumble isn't a particularly fabulous game, the music from it is GODLY and I'd say that Westerly Town is my favourite tune from it (apart from Northerly Town). It's great to listen to and I'm sure it'd be fun to play to! Hope you enjoy it! :)

I always find the tiny tunes in games really catchy, so I thought I'd to the Co-op Play Menu themes from New Super Mario Bros. 2! I'm sure you'll agree that they could be played over and over and over and over and... XDDD
NEW! Co-op Play Menu Themes (Duet) from New Super Mario Bros. 2
[Two Pianos ZIP] (http://marioandluigi.wikidot.com/local--files/forum:thread/CoopPlayMenuThemesDuet.zip)
Yah, I also went on a slight Luigi's Mansion 2 rampage and decided to arrange a heap of songs from that game too. I'm still in the midst of writing some out, so stay tuned! First up is a version of E. Gadd's theme known as the Dual Scream (a pun on the name of the DS). Very simple but effective. ;)
NEW! Dual Scream from Luigi's Mansion 2
[Original ZIP] (http://marioandluigi.wikidot.com/local--files/forum:thread/DualScream.zip)
Next is quite a few of the ghost themes from that game in various forms. I'm not going to do what I did with Super Mario 3D Land and write out ALL the main theme songs, but I'll do a majority of them. The Karaoke Box is found in Haunted Towers and I didn't want to leave the room after finding it! XDD Hostile Intrusion plays when you're doing one of the bonus levels, suckin' up dem ghosts! :P

[One Piano ZIP] (http://marioandluigi.wikidot.com/local--files/forum:thread/HostileIntrusionGhostThemeDuet.zip)
AND finally, one that I'm very proud of, the Eerie Staircase themes when climbing up those wretched stairs on the way to the second boss. Anyone who's play this game will understand my arrangement; ground floor, about a third of the way up, two-thirds of the way there, WRONG ONE (and everything repeats) and then finally at the top! I hope you enjoy it! :D
NEW! Eerie Staircase Themes (Duet) from Luigi's Mansion 2
[Two Pianos ZIP] (http://marioandluigi.wikidot.com/local--files/forum:thread/EerieStaircaseThemesDuet.zip)
And that's all for the time being! I hope you all enjoy and there'll be plenty more where that came from. :)
Your Eerie Staircase arrangement structure is one of the most clever things I've ever seen done with an arrangement on this site.
I don't really think that "(Ghost Theme)" is necessary after all of the different arrangements. "Hostile Intrusion" is fine for that first level's music, "Karaoke Box" is fine, etc., adding Ghost Theme makes it look a bit clunky, especially since what fans call "Ghost Themes" are actually all of the horror-style music used when you enter a room with ghosts. It's really up to you and it doesn't detract from your (quite awesome) arrangements.
Awww, thanks Slow! I put a lot of time and effort into that arrangement and I'm glad it worked out really well. I just remembered how annoying that part was and I thought that making an arrangement that reflected those feelings was an excellent idea. ;)
Oh, okay! I wasn't sure if I should or shouldn't add Ghost Theme, seeing as they're all the same tune in different forms. Yeah, I think I'll rename them. I'm going to do that too when I get around to revamping all the SM3DL world music. They'll be now called Word S1. :)
RIGHT! NEW ARRANGEMENTS FOR EVERYONE!! Yes, I've been a little over-productive one might say... I was literally doing four of those in a day. XD Well, I hope you enjoy! I've done too many to post here, so just go to my front page to see 'em all at the top. :)
Library Piano - Another awesome version of the Ghost Theme from Luigi's Mansion 2! Lots of fun to arrange and hopefully fun for someone to listen or play. ;)
Trainers' Eyes Meet! Hiker - A very small but catchy prelude to a Pokemon battle that caught my interest. MUST BE ARRANGED!!
Let's Super Train! - Same as above; very catchy and cool. I just don't think it's that nice as a piano duet, but oh well... XD
Mario Kart Channel - I've always liked this obscure tunes from the Mario Kart series and this one's a beauty! Perfectly captured, if I may say so mahself. :P
Barrel Mini-Game - This is a swing remix of the Main Theme from Super Mario World, appearing in probably the most frustrating mini-game in any RPG series to date... Good music, though... XD
Menu Theme - Probably the 105th version of this tune made by Nintendo for New Super Mario Bros. U... I still love it! :P
Battle! Elite Four - This is the rather catchy "doof-doof" music from Pokemon X & Y. It's an interesting arrangement... I can't say I like it, but it mimics the original, so I can't complain.
Boutique - MY GOD THIS SONG IS SO PRETTY!! I could listen to it for hours and not get bored! And, the arrangement sound great, too! Nothing beats buying clothes in C# minor. :P
Boss Boogie - By far the most awesome yet scary song I've heard in my life. That's just 'cause whenever I heard this song, I knew I was about to be raped by some over-powered boss in Donkey Kong Country 3... XD
Route 4 - I don't particularly like the Route themes from Pokemon X & Y, but this one's my favourite and, yes, I do like this one. Sounds much more like an English march to me than French music. :P
Chase - This is the classic frantic Donkey Kong 'Chase' theme from many of the games, however this one is so DAMN sexy due to the piano solo near the end. Check it out! And play it for me! :P
Battle! Lysandre - This guy has kick-ass music, in my opinion. Perfect for a good bash on the piano! Not that I play any of this stuff... I'm just an arranger. ;)
Palm Tree Groove - Another version of the 'Chase' theme from Donkey Kong games. This one's very catchy and super groovy! I think someone requested this somewhere... XD
AZ - I think Pokemon is a bit like James Bond movies; they've lost their touch in terms of satisfying action, yet they've gained a more emotional side. It's nice to see, actually. This is one of those themes that cause me to cry when playing these games... Yes, I'm very emotional when I play games. XD
Well, that's it for now (thankfully)! More to come soon! :)

Great Fairy's Fountain Theme...no dat one looks like a killer...xD
Fingerz, I approve of the intro to Lorule Field ^__^ Also, the Yuga Battle is fantastic.
One thing: I can't find the Mario Kart Channel anywhere. Help me out?
Excellent work on Library Piano!

That's okay, Hani! You guys are my motivators! :D And yeah, that would kill me... Lorule Field would be fun to play, depending on who's got all those semiquavers. We could always take them out. After all, I arrange to hear them, not to play, so we can always edit it. ;)

Excellent! I'm glad you like it! :) And yeah, Yuga Battle was good fun to write out. I'm surprised no one had done that song from A Link to the Past... Oh well, I did the better version of it. :P Oh, if you can't find something under it's title, that's because it's new and I've chucked it right up the top. Here's the link if you still need it:

And thanks, mariolegofan! I really liked that theme when I played the game and thought that it'd turn into a great arrangement!
ALRIGHTY FOLKS, NEW ARRANGEMENTS!! Just a couple for you today! I've decided to go through and clean out some of the older things on my list and actually do them instead of procrastinating. So, I present you with
Block Plaza from
Mario Kart Wii! Such a cute little song that's played at a godly pace... XD Funny thing is, if you slow it down to about 60% of it's original speed, all the percussion in the background actually sounds really groovy! :P
NEW! Block Plaza (Duet) from Mario Kart Wii
[Duet ZIP] (http://marioandluigi.wikidot.com/local--files/forum:thread/BlockPlazaDuet.zip)
And, just 'cause I was listening to it at the time, I decided to put together
Funky Stadium from the same game. Sure, it's a weird song, but I think you know that I like weird songs by now. ;)

I'm going to do something that I've wanted to do for AGES next (that's not on my list), and then I'll do something that's a classic with a modern twist. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. ;) 'Til then! :D

Nice work, just one thing, what song did you exactly arrange? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFgLz-CCsEw) ???
Edit: Ohhh, the GBA version. Nevermind. ^^"
Man....how do you arrange so accurate, good, and perfect?!
Your 100000000000000000000000 times better than me. I wish I had your skills :)
I know I'm nearing fanboy level here, cuz I literally burst out laughing when I listened to both Block Plaza and Funky Stadium. You did an excellent job breathing new life into both those songs. Well done.

Aww, thanks mariolegofan! My friends tell me I have a very keen ear for music. I'm not pitch-perfect, so I'm not cheating. ;)
Actually, I might start a new thread and ask people how they go about arranging. That way we can all come up with some ideas and get people trying things in new ways. :D
And yours are just fine. I've been doing it for a long time. :P
Quote from: TheZeldaPianist275 on December 30, 2013, 03:06:02 PMI know I'm nearing fanboy level here, cuz I literally burst out laughing when I listened to both Block Plaza and Funky Stadium. You did an excellent job breathing new life into both those songs. Well done.
Hahaha! Yeah, they turned out nicer than I expected, actually. I'm glad you like 'em! :D
Hey guys, I just hit my
200th arrangement! That includes single and duet sheets of pieces, but not modified 'cause they're practically the same. But yeah, quite a milestone, I think! And there's plenty more to come, too! :)
...So I went a little crazy and did some arranging from
Wario Land II. I hope you don't mind. They're really simple but effective pieces! I also did some harder ones and completed one that I'd been dreading for AGES... Wasn't that hard, actually. :P
Funky Stadium - I realised I could've made a single sheet out of this, so I did just that. The duet's more impressive, obviously. ;)
Zombie Wario - Took me two minutes to do this. It's a really cool piece, though! One of Nintendo's weirder abilities, I must say... XD
Treasure Map - Very catchy and VERY fast. Good luck to anyone who wants to play it! :D
S.S. Tea Cup - I originally wanted to arrange this when I was playing the game, so my wish has now come true! I don't know why I like this piece so much!! XD
Matching Game - This was a game that caused me a lot of agony, trying to match those damned pieces after seeing them for about 0.5 of a second... Good music, though. :)
Skull Castle - OMG THIS SONG IS AMAZING!! If you're going to check any of the Wario ones out, this one is by far the creepiest one! Blues scale and silence makes epicness. :D
Overworld (Super Mario Bros.) - I thought I'd put together my favourite version of a classic for you all to hear! This one's been on my list for AGES and I've been too scared to touch it 'cause it sounded awfully complicated. It was actually much easier than I expected! Lots of repetition and the chords weren't as queer as I thought... Hope you enjoy it! :D
Underground - I obviously had to follow the previous one with this. It only makes sense. :P I great arrangement of an original from a much-loved game of mine. :)
WELL, I'm gonna continue this trend for a little bit, so you should be able to guess what song I'm going to do next. If you get it right, I might have a surprise in stock for you all. ;)
That's it for now! Enjoy, and I hope to hear from you all soon! :D
Imma guess Underwater.
Congrats on hitting 200! Happy to see that you haven't left the site for good. You were gone for a while...
Holy cow! Excellent work on Funky Stadium (solo)! 100x better than mine.
Dude you're so good at this. Are you on steroids or something? (just kidding) You're just cranking them out so fast and they sound so good o.O

Ahahaha! Thanks! The only reason I'm pumping them out so fast is because I go through phases of being addicted to something. At the moment I'm addicted to arranging pieces. XD I'm sure it'll change soon and I'll have a break, but I will come back to it. :)
Actually, I have to apologise because I haven't finished
Underwater Theme yet... I've been a little busy and it's actually quite complex. I'm giving my ears a bit of a rest, but I'll have it done by the next time I'm on. :D
Also, I won't be arranging anything around the 17th January as I'm getting all four of my wisdom teeth pulled out. I'll be too stoned on anaesthetic to do anything... Back in action soon after that, though. 'Til then! :)
Could you do some from Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door please?? :)
We'll have to wait and see on that one! I'm not familiar with the Paper Mario series, but I'll check out the soundtrack and see if I like the songs. :)
Great!
Alrighty, new tune! Mariolegofan needed some help with Mushroom Gorge, so I helped him out and ended up finishing it off... Anyways, a joint effort to make a worthwile arrangement! I hope you all enjoy it! :D
Also, plenty more coming your way! I'm not officially on holiday, so I'm gonna be able to arrange A LOT more! Back soon!!
Alright, folks! I've started up my revamping project again in the hope of actually properly starting it this time. I shuddered the other day when I looked at a lot of my old arrangements, so it's time to fix 'em up! Plus, I'll work on making those old duets a little more 'two piano'-like so I can add more voices to them.
Oh, and Merry Christmas to you all, when the time comes. :P
Great! :)
Oh yes, not to worry, MLF! I'll be working on our next joint-project as well. ;)
Right! It's been a while! FINALLY after spending a seriously concerning amount of time forgetting about my next joint-project, mariolegofan and I have given birth to (well, not literally, but anyway...) Sunshine Airport from Mario Kart 8 for all of you to enjoy!

We both absolutely love the music from this game, so expect more down the track! Hopefully a little quicker than what it took me to get around to this one... Apologies, MLF. XD
OMGGG YESSS TOTALLY GONNA PLAY IT, MY FAVOURITE STAGEEEEE
I have this song as my alarm so i wake up in happiness :>
But great arrangement! :OOO it's quite accurate! Dem grace notes though ::)
AWESOME, FINGERZ!!
ahh first new arrangement since I joined I'm freaking out

Yay, I'm glad you like it! It's one of my favourite pieces from that game, so it had to be done! Yeah, the bass grace notes are sorta required to give it the same effect as the actual bass sliding to the next note. It sounds boring without and looks shit (and probably ridiculous to play) as a gliss as well. :P
@Latios212: Yeahhhh, it's been a while since I've arranged anything. It'll probably be another few months before I can really consider arranging like I used to (and it requires a certain mentality to build up to as well), but hopefully I can sprinkle a few out every so often to let you all know I'm not dead. XD
RIGHT! Guess who's been busy? ME! ;D
I was busy fixing up a few of my older sheets (I'm not telling you which ones, so go look!) the other week and I had a sudden impulse to do an Arrangement Project! So yeah, here's the whole OST of Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3! Yup, it's probably not the most difficult OST to put together, but it's fun and kooky and most things are written in C Major and at 112 bpm. :P
You can find it HERE (http://forum.ninsheetmusic.org/index.php?topic=2938.0) on my front page.
No, seriously, check them out! It only took me a week to do 'em (no, I'm not skiting) but they're such great little tunes! I'd recommend them to beginner arrangers as they're very easy to get your head around. There ARE a couple of nasty suckers, though. You'll come across 'em if you listen. ;)
Anyways, enjoy! I've got plenty more time to arrange - at least this month and maybe some of next, so expect some more soon! Who knows, I might even do another Arrangement Project... :D

Nonono, it's Kozue Ishikawa! Ryoji Yoshitomi only worked on WL4 and the Wario Ware series. Norio Hanazawa took charge of Wario World though, and Tomoya Tomita did the same with Shake It! (I was WarioMan98 for a reason xD).
Dunno where you got those last notes of m. 4 and so on from in your Kitchen Island arrangement, but I like your take on it anyways!
Of course, impressive work!! And you did this in a week? Awesome determination lol
Oh wait, it seems Yoshitomi also worked on that... Heh always thought it was only Ishikawa xD
Anyways, you should credit him too!
WHEN YOU WANNA DO SOMETHING YOU SURE DO IT
Nice work :J
Wow really impressive! :)

Hahaha! I WOULD but the game's not even out here yet! I'm looking forward to it, though! Is the music as great as the previous ones? I sorta refuse to check it out 'til it's out here, that's all... XD
@Don: Yeah, it took me a while to figure out who was working on those games... Apparently Yoshitomi did most of the overworld and bit-tunes whilst Ishikawa did the levels and boss music. And yes, I added in a couple of notes here and there to add the rhythmic interest found in the original. Great work on your
Wario Land II Credits, by the way! I absolutely loved it!! :D
Thanks guys! There's plenty more to come, whether it's new sheets or revamped old ones. My old ones are giving me nightmares at the moment... XD
Ahh very well then. Glad you liked it the Credits theme btw!

Ugh same with mines. They take me forever to fix since I practically arrange them from scratch again... x.x
Same here... But it has to be done! I just wish they weren't so bad in the first place! XD
ALRIGHT NEW 8-BIT MUSIC YEAHHHHH! Who doesn't like Shovel Knight? It took me longer than anticipated as it's actually seriously hard to arrange! I'll probably end up doing a Two Pianos version of it down the track, but for now it'll do. I'm too busy revamping my old sheets. Expect more soon! :D

It's absolutely dumbfounding how in the world Jake Kaufman is able to compose such intricate, multi-voice pieces with ease. Like, this is the kind of stuff that keeps me awake at night wondering how we're supposed to survive in a world of prodigies.
DAAAANG! You'd be really helpful in the MK8 Unofficial Arrangement Project! I mean, there is only one word to describe your arrangements: spot-on!
It's so fun to arrange something from SK, am I right? xD
Great job!

Agreed completely. That guy is
LEGEND. Seriously, every tune I hear of his I love! It's just crazy!! I'd love to do more of his work down the track. You have to be in the right mental frame to attempt it, though. XD

Hahaha! Thanks, E. Gadd! I love the music from Mario Kart 8 and I'd love to help out, but I'm currently busy with my own revamping project. I keep avoiding it like the plague so it's best that I spend some time fixing up them up before doing any new ones. I'll help out later if some aren't taken or done! :D
@Don: Oh, heck yeah! I've got a couple more I'd love to do from that game! I'll probably get around to them sooner or later.
Hi all! Yes, it's been a while! It'll probably keep being as sporadic as this too, I'm afraid... I've been so busy with life that I can't keep doing things like this. I'm a professional woodwind player now and people pay me money to toot, so that takes precedence over the free stuff. I've really enjoyed my arranging over the years and will continue to do something every now and then when I have the time to! I might even go back and fix up some of my older sheets - the 'quality' is questionable with some of 'em. :P
Anyhoo, Pokémon Quest came out last week and I absolutely LOVE the tune for Tumblecube Island, so here it is!

Enjoy! And as always, it's a pleasure to hear from you all! ;D
Wow, nice to hear from you! Glad your tooting is going well :p
Oh joy, fingerz is alive! Great to see you making sheets again!
Hey fingerz! Always a pleasure to see you pop back in (especially when you bring new sheets) ;D
Thanks, Seb! I might start up a video thread at some point to show off some of what I do!
Yeah, don't expect it to be too regular, Levi. I've got real-world shit knocking on my door 24-7. :P
LATIOS! YOU'RE THE BOSS NOW!! Congrats! I couldn't think of a better person to take charge, really. It made my day when I saw that Jamaha put you in charge! ;D
