Oo you didn't have your arrangement page yet?
Something new.
Brassman, are you the guy who created the Battle Theme for Dragon Quest V? Because if you are...
That would be me.
What's it to ya?

I FRIGGIN' LOVE YOU!! That is like the best arrangement I've ever heard. How long did it take you to make that?
You should make more Dragon Quest songs... :D
Quote from: DekuTrombonist on March 23, 2011, 04:50:33 AMStickerbrush Symphony link leads to Jib Jig.
Whoops...
EDIT: fixed
Also, thanks, Fingerz, I'll see what else I come up with from dragon quest. I still need to do two more from V. Any suggestions?
Ah, it's been a while since I've last played it... maybe the Boss Theme? I'd have to check out what other songs sound good. XD
So, uh, about the other pieces...
Uh more of an aesthetic issue, the sheet Jib Jig has 2009 on it, thought I'd mention that :P. Anyway they seem pretty good to me although it's been a while since I last heard the originals.
Check it. New Stuff.
Can you upload a .midi and .pdf file of your arrangements?
Get Finale Reader.
Lets you read/playback MUS files and it's free.

I know, but I don't like Finale Reader. The quality of the sound is miserabel. Even a .midi file is better.
Finale reader tends to have better quality than that of a midi file. :P

if you want high quality sound, go find a professional pianist who can sightread very well and have them play for you. if you just want a general idea of what a piece is going to sound, suck it up and use finale reader.

Well, I have a programm that makes the midi (piano pieces) sounds like someone playing it :)

There aren't many people who are capable of sightreading. I want to know, how it would sound on a nearly real piano.
Finale Reader definitely sounds more accurate for the general idea of what it's supposed to sound like on the piano.
It'll be better if you use Reader. I already changed the midi within the file so it would sound it's absolute best with what Finale has to offer.

If you haven't noticed, the mid is available through the site now.

Thank you!
Well, it sounds nice.
Decided I'm going to make a two Portal 2 arrangements. If someone wants me to arrange another, find me one. I'll be back with the other one.
Haven't talked to you for ages :D. How are you? Unfortunately I have never played portal 2, but the arrangement sounds great, as always!
Posting some requests that I've neglected for far too long. Going to be putting up more as tomorrow comes.
Wow I expected Molgera to be bland on the piano but it sounds great. Nice job!
I was planning to do the "Molgera" song, but I see I can't outperform yours, so... I'll do the "2nd Time" one, which has a different bass and a slightly different melody. Seriously, your arrangements are really awesome.
Oh! And remember I posted a request time ago with the "Castle Pandemonium" song from FF Origins? You replied something like "I'll see what I can do". Just to let you know! :)
Do it just if you want, don't feel forced to do it. ;)
Thanks for the wonderful complements.
As for your request, I'm on it.
Quote from: Brassman388 on September 11, 2011, 09:08:38 AMThanks for the wonderful complements.

Thanks in advance! :)
It's uploaded.
Edit: I've also updated Town and Flowers Blooming in the Church.
It's great! You've improved a lot that song compared with the one on the site, well done! Now it'll be harder for me to play, but it'll be worth the practice! :D

You can always improve on something of mine. You just have to be creative.
Edit: I just uploaded hopefully what will be my last revision of Flowers Blooming in the Church. Check it out and tell me what you think of it.

But now I want to make the 2nd time, I prefer that one. Maybe because is a bit distorted, and I like that. :3
Brassman, could you please renew the links? They're not working anymore. Thanks in advance.
I thought they were already uploaded to the site.
Ah....that's probably my fault. I've been a little busy with life and slack with updater-ing.
Zelda II Town isn't uploaded, and the link isn't working. I requested that awhile ago, but my old computer's broken so I don't have access to it :\
I'll get to work uploading something up hopefully today or tomorrow.

OK, no problem.
Banished to the fourth page... Dang...
But now it's on first page.
So, what are all the cool kids listening to nowadays, eh?
Annoying songs about parties and love.
I meant what's cool to arrange?
Pokemon.
Apparantly.
Alrighty then, things are updated and will continued to be.
Let me get some more stoofs up.
Critiques are always welcome.
[GCN] Kirby's Airride - Sky Sands - Mus (https://dl.dropbox.com/u/36750916/Sky%20Sands.mus)
That is an amazing arrangement,
UNTILL....
At Measure#31 it becomes impossible :( That is the only flaw with the arrangement, and it's a pretty big one.
There is no way anyone could play that right hand part.
Other than that it is great, but again, no one could ever play this..
Holy shit I feel like I have a dislocated finger
Haha, yeah. I forgot how to make notes with parentheses. It's more used for reference rather than playing. The red notes are what I was focusing on, as you can tell.
I made the changes to it, so, check it out.
I can't see the file, dropbox can't find it.
Did you move it to another folder or something?
So apparently when you change the name of the file in the Public Folder in Dropbox, it destroys the link. Everytime you change something about that file, you have to update the link here.
Everything should be in order, all links are updated.
Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
Yeah!
Your arrangement is playable and stuff now, so great work!
Ah, much appreciation.
[NDS] Castlevania: Symphony of the Night - Danse of Pales - Mus (https://dl.dropbox.com/u/36750916/Danse%20of%20Pales%20Copy.mus)
Hm. Dunno where to take this one.
Also, cred goes to Lara6683 of Youtube since I've mainly used her version of the song to transcribe. Since, you know, the original is very, very muddy.
Critiques as always.
My mind is blown right now... Such a wonderful song, wonderful performance and wonderful arrangement.
If it's not too much to ask, could you please add that glissando she does at the end of measure 4 and the ending too?
Yeah, it's not nearly as done as I want it to be. I just wanted to share what I've got done.
Thank you for the kind words.
OMG that bit at bar 21 is soooo cool
I absolutely love that part to death. That whole section is what propelled me most to arrange it.
I got a 404 message with your sky sands arrangment.
Did you use the link in the OP? That one works, the other doesn't
Ah. That would be it.
Sorry about that, I suck at link upkeep.
An oldie but goldie.
[GCN] Kirby's Airride - Water - Mus (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/36750916/Water%20Copy.mus)
It's arranged for two players at ONE piano. So don't go makin' comments about how it seems impossible to play. I don't plan on submitting it unless someone really, really cares about it.
[SNES] Donkey Kong Country 2, Diddy Kong-Quest - War Wasp Hive - Mus (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/36750916/War%20Wasp%20Hive%20Copy.mus)
This one is pretty much the same one one the site with the exception of the time change, chord changes in the main section of the song along with the melody rewritten, and the addition of the ending.
Do what you will with both.
Destructive feedback is always welcome.
I'm sooooo oldddd.
Also, this.
[N64] The Legend of Zelda, The Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask - Koume & Kotake's Theme/Magic Hag's Shop - Mus (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/36750916/Magic%20Hag%27s%20Shop-Koume%20and%20Kotake%20Copy.mus)
I know the 8 bar duet towards the end is currently unplayable, but I did this piece when I was first starting out and when I was obsessed with accuracy. It's a quick revision since the last version was from Finale Printmusic 2006. So, it needed a massive makeover.
Destructive criticism is always welcome.
Hmm.
[NES] Castlevania II: Simon's Quest - Bloody Tears - Mus (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/36750916/Bloody%20Tears%20Copy.mus)
Oh, wow, that was awesome! I see you took a lot of creative liberty with it.
As a question, how did you cross staff beam like that on measure 53 (as in, have the bar in between the measures.)
Glad you enjoyed it.
From the drop-down menu, it goes: Plugins - TG tools - Cross staff.
You may have to tinker with it since I don't exactly know what each setting does.
I don't have the words to thank you for this. This is really far beyond all my expectations, it's the best version I've ever heard of Bloody Tears. And you used the key changes masterly, they really add a lot to the song.
I'm so going to learn this. Sincerely, thanks for this perfect arrangement. I could have never imagined I'd like it like I do. Thanks again!
Aw shucks, you're making me blush. You're absolutely welcome, man.
You'll have to give a Lara some of those thanks because this is her rendition. It isn't her exact arrangement, but a transcription and adaptation of it. Part of the reason I arranged it was because of the key changes. So brilliant.
Anyways, I'm glad you like it.
Zelda's Lullaby from The Hyrule Symphony
Mus (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/36750916/Zelda%27s%20Lullaby%20Hyrule%20Symphony%20Copy.mus)
I started this one about 2 years ago and just got around to finishing it today.
I would really, really appreciate some feedback.
Leaving my hate to Finale's violin soundfont aside, I can't see anything wrong with it. It's excellent!
I have a version where the midi doesn't suck too bad and it has better dynamics and timing through the piece.
Zelda's Lullaby from The Hyrule Symphony (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/36750916/Zelda%27s%20Lullaby%20Hyrule%20Symphony%20Copy.mus)
Ah, much better.
I'm currently taking requests. I have a few arrangements in my queue but, I'd rather do something that's a bit more recent. Everything I do is a bit more retro, if you all haven't noticed.
Go ahead, I could us a good challenge.
For something really crazy, it'd be cool to see a playable arrangement of Master Hand Battle (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GR2QklrgB84) from the original N64 Super Smash Bros.
If you want something newer wait for someone else to post, I have no idea :P

Oh and anything from paper mario the thousand year door :)
I'll give it a go.
Also, I'd like specific songs. I don't want to have to listen to an entire ost because I'm lazy.
:P
If you want something REALLY insane, try a playable version of Battlefield (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVugoKCr8cs)from Super Smash Bros Melee.
Or Final Destination (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKf2LpGgjvo), alternatively.
Ok
This one would be great :)
Deku and Greg are making it sound like you're looking for something hard, so try this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4x-hVR9fZk) on for size. This (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xweRl4LZlmo) is a little less difficult. More fun to arrange though.
Difficult or easy, it doesn't matter. I just need to get back into the groove of arranging again.
Haha, Deku know's what I'm capable of. He's more challenging me than anything. As for anyone else, if there's a piece that isn't around or if you want another view at it, I'm more than welcome to abide by your request.

Dance of Illusions (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9D9KdNG9fUg) or Bollywood (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQbx10YRn2s)
Here's a few songs I've always wanted to arrange, but they were just WAY to hard:

Hi (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAn5_G_eD8w)
Hi (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ja7hBGdFpRI)
Alright, I think I have enough for awhile. Not that I plan on doing all of them, but I'll definitely try.
Great :) Hopefully Mine
I'd thought I'd do this one first because it's all jazzy and sh*t.
Pennington's Theme (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/36750916/Pennington%27s%20theme%20Copy.mus)
I wanna wait 'til Deku gives me the final okay on it before putting it on the site, but this is what I got done so far.
Sweet!
Would you mind PDFing it? I dont have Finale 2012 :-\

[PSX] Dance of Pales - Castlevania Symphony of the Night
Zip (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/36750916/Danse%20of%20Pales.zip)
This should be the final version. Thoughts and feedback are always welcome.
Key signature is C minor isn't it?
It jumps around quite a bit, that's why I kept at D minor. It was a healthy in between with all the modulations. But, you're right, the beginning starts out as C minor.
No, it doesn't jump around at all. It's C minor all the way until the modulation into E minor that you put in.
Alright, alright, look. I'll look at it again, but most likely I'm not going to change it.
Trust me, dude, this isn't my first time to the dance.
All the way until that modulation into E minor it follows the very very simple and over-used chord progression of I - VII - VI - V making it Cm - Bbm (alterated third) - Ab - G.
There are no modulations here, even though for some reason you said it jumps around quite a bit. It's not D minor anywhere - the chord progression doesn't even go through a D minor chord, so it should be very simple to see that it's in C minor.
So, it's not much, but it's what I've been working on since I've been gone.
There are plenty that aren't complete and a lot of them are transcriptions and actual arrangements.
I guess you could consider this a long overdue christmas gift.
Enjoy.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
just glimpsed at a few and I love what I'm seeing
I would be disappointed if you weren't.
