Title: The Epics of Nintendo
Post by: Ragster2448 on April 28, 2011, 06:04:07 PM
PART I

---PROLOGUE---

All I saw was black. Pitch black. Whispers were being spread throughout the room, but I couldn't make out anybody's voice or the words they were saying. I then heard the noise of the door being opened. The whispers stopped as the light began seeping through the ocean of black. Three people walked into the room, and I could tell by the silhouettes that they were toads.
"Here we are, sir," one toad said.
"Good. Can we get some lights on? I can't see anything in this blasted dark."
"My apologies sir." The toad walked over to the side of the door and flipped the switch. My eyes were pierced by the light. I quickly adjusted them and looked ahead of me to see two guards and the toad military general himself.
"Greetings, I am the general of the toad army, Adam J. Harolds. We have gathered you here to discuss enlistment's in to the toad army."
"Excuse me, sir," one person asked, "I thought toads were only allowed into the toad army?"
"Not exactly," the general responds. "Desperate times call for desperate measures."
   "Desperate times?" another person said.
"Yes. Scouts have reported that Bowser is gathering up a large force to attack the Mushroom Kingdom. Only 1/5 of our population is enlisted in the army, leaving us roughly with 4,000 soldiers. That is why we need you to help us."
"Yeah, what's in it for us?" a deep-voiced man replied.
"As for an award, my hands are empty." Everybody started conversing.
"I'm in it just for the fight," one guy said next to me.
"Yeah, I don't need an award, just a reason to fight," I replied.
"Alright, now then, let's get to enlisting," the general said, as he began pacing. I stood tall and straight, hoping that he'd notice me. A few seconds passed, then he finally stopped in front of someone to my far left.
"And your name is?" the general asked. The person stood firm and replied to the question.
   "My name is..."

Sweet, already got two! Oh, and another thing I should put:

I'll just post the next chapter when it is done, there will be no dead-line for each chapter, to much stress in trying to make it in time.
I will post in the topic when requesting is over for the next chapter. The requests posted after that will be put into the chapter AFTER the next. I will try my hardest to fit in all of the requests in the following chapter, but it isn't guaranteed.

---CHAPTER 1---

   "...Greg," he answers.
"Greg, huh? I can see that you are a Pokemon Trainer, am I right?"
   "Yeah."
"Alright," the general responds, "Pokemon Trainers are always useful. Are you interested in joining the army? As you are aware, there will be no reward."
"The only reward I need is the experience that my Alakazam will get from the fight," Greg replies back.
"Very well," The general says as he begins pacing again. This time, he steps in front of a person to the right of me. Ugh, I think to myself, when is he going to get to me?
"How about you, what is your name?" the general asks.
"The name's Jerry, sir," he replies.
"Jerry, huh?" the general says, then ponders for a little while.
"Ah, yes, the skilled warrior, are you not?"
"Yes, that's me," Jerry answers, "I have had personal training from Marth himself and I'm ready to see if it paid off."
"Excellent, I'll see you on the battlefield, then." He begins pacing yet again. After a few seconds of walking back and forth, he finally steps in front of me and stops.
"Let's see... Another Pokemon Trainer, huh?"
   "Yes sir," I reply.
   "And your name is?"
"Ragster, sir, from the Johto region," I answer. Was that too much? He only asked for my name. Dang it, I'm ruining it, I think.
"Well Ragster, are you ready to serve for the toad army?"
"Willing and ready, sir," I respond.
"Great, welcome to the club." I sighed with relief as he turns and begins pacing away yet again. When it comes to talking, I'm not number one on the leader-board. Thankfully, the chat was small, so I had less time to screw up.
"Hey, you from Johto?" A guy next to me asks.
"Yep, live in Cianwood City," I respond.
"Do you happen to know a guy named Slow?"
   "Um... Can't say I do..."
"Well, he does live in Blackthorn, which is on the totally opposite side of Johto from Cianwood," he says.
   "So, you are?" I ask.
"Just call me Fingerz. With a 'z', no 's'," he answered. I than realized he wasn't wearing any type of weapon or Pokeballs, and was dressed in all black.
"Uh, what do you do? You got no sort of weapon or anything like that," I ask.
"Weapons? Weapons?! THESE, are my weapons!" he shouts as he holds up his fists. "Who needs swords or Pokemon when you got fists of steel, HEE YAH!" He shouts as he throws his fist on to the wall. Along with the banging noise that the fist made when it hit the wall, I heard also a few pops and cracks in-between.
"YEE-OWCH!" he yells as he throws his fist back and forth.
"Fist of steels, huh?" I say sarcastically.
"Psh, Yee-owch is my battle cry. What? You thought I was in pain? Hah! Barely felt anything..." he replies.
"Alright, recruits! Time to head on to the castle!" the general shouts. Everybody starts walking out the doors as I follow behind. When I walk out into the sunlight, I notice a giant jet air-liner sitting in the lot about a few hundred yards away.
"When did that get there?" Jerry asked, scratching his head. When I walked into the lot, I notice a guy walking out of the jet's door.
"Hello!  Hello!" he shouts, raising his hands like he is some kind of priest.
"Hmm... Who's this guy?" Greg responds.
"This is DrP, he's another new recruit here. he will be our pilot to Princess Peach's Castle," the general says.
"Alright, come on! Runnin' on a tight schedule here," DrP announced. The crowd started moving up the stairs and into the jet. I walked through the door and down the plane. I sat down next to window number 17, where soon Greg sat down in the chair next to mine.
"Ugh, finally I get to go to the castle," he says. I responded, not knowing if he was talking to himself or me,
"I've heard that the castle is pretty amazing."
"Ha! I don't care about the castle. I just want to get closer to the battlefield," he replies back to me.
"Rule number 2, always know your battlefield before you even think about fighting on it. It gives you a tactical advantage."
   "Oh," I respond, "what's rule number 1?"
   "Never lose."
"Ah, that's a good rule," I say back.

"Hey! Get up! Stop sleeping, will ya? We got a job to run, you know," Ray shouts next to my ear. I stand up, stretch out and let out a big yawn.
"Do we really have to? Patrol is SO boring... I'm still on my break, too," I reply back to him.
"Your break ended two hours ago, Slow! So come on, I can't patrol the entire castle by myself."
   "Ugh... Fine..."
I walk out the door and grab the spear laying next to the shelf. When I shut the door, I turn around to see JFK standing right in front of me. Oh, great. What does he want?
"I'm not happy Slow. NOT happy."
"Well, if I had to wear a suit that bad, I wouldn't be either," I respond. The look on his face told me that he was serious.
"Four hour breaks, sleeping on the job, and... What is this?" he says, as he looks at the spear made out of wood that I was holding in my hand.
   "It's my spear!"
"You had better improve your work, Slow, or you're out of here!" he shouts, stomping away down the hallway.
"I don't need a spear! My Spinda is just as powerful," I say to Ray.
"Slow, you never even bring him to work!"
   "Oh yeah... I don't, do I?"
"Slow... I got a job to run. I'll see you later," he says calmly as he walks away.
Ugh... Why did I sign up for this? I could have been the Pokemon Champion for all 6 regions by now! Er, wait... 5 regions! I stood there for about ten seconds, then dropped to the floor and fell asleep.

Twenty minutes had passed since we first arrived on the plane. Over the horizon, I could finally see the castle. DrP came over the announcements to inform of our landing.
"Is... Is this thing on? Testing, Test-Oh! Hello, party people! We will be arriving at the castle in roughly three minutes, so prepare to exit the plane. DrP out."
"It's about time. I was getting tired of being cooped up in here," Greg says as he stretches out his limbs.
I look out the window and see small mushroom houses, some toads out and about, and merchants selling fruit, vegetables and all sorts of foods and goods. In the middle of town square was a giant golden fountain that held a statue of the princess, nearly blinding me as the sun reflects off of it. We come up to the landing strip and begin flying low. I felt the plane bounce as we landed on the run-way and began slowing down. As we came to a stop, DrP came on to the announcements again.
"Welcome to the castle! Please exit the plane in an orderly fashion, please remember to take all of your stuff with you, and PLEASE, have a good day. That will be all."
I stand up and follow the crowd of people that starts leaving the plane. As I walk down the stairs, I noticed that I felt strangely lighter. I look down and noticed that my belt of Pokeballs was missing. Aw, crud. I probably left them on the plane. I walk back up the stairs and into the plane. When I walk by the pilots room, I overheard DrP talking through his comm.
"Yeah, I'm right next to the castle right now. Yes sir. Yep. Oh yeah I did. Don't worry sir, you can count on me."
Who is he talking to? I think to myself. I begin listening again.
"Well, duh! Why would I go on the mission and forget to bring the Bob-omb?"
What? Bob-omb?! What would he do with a Bob-omb?! I turn around and start pondering about what he said.
"Can I help you?" DrP asks, standing right behind me.
   Crud! Busted, I think.
"I... was just getting my Pokeballs that I left on the plane," I stuttered, "I wasn't nose-dropping, or anything."
"Mmm hmm... Well that's good! Get your Pokeballs and let's get out of here."
   "Uh, Oh... Kay..."
I walk over to my seat and grabbed the belt laying underneath it. I strap it back on then exit the plane behind DrP.
   What do I do?

TO BE CONTINUED

I hope I got your personalities right. Just tell me if I should change up how you act.

Just to let you know, when you see a triple line break in my stories, it means the perspective of the story is changing from one person to another.

Very good!  The personalities aren't exactly nailed, but pretty close.  I think I'm a lot less mean. Maybe calm, with even disposition and win fights easily whether physical or mental (rarely falls for traps or fakes).  My best weapons are the metal staff and sword (I can't touch a spear, I'd accidentally kill myself in 3 seconds), and if none are available, open hand combat. All other weapons I'm only decent or clumsy with.  The cons about me are that my split second decisions aren't good, I'm a good rule - breaker, my underwater fighting is very bad due to my balance on the ground.  I'm OK at planes and wing fighters, know when and where to use weapons, but sometimes have trouble finding the controls :D .

Other than that, great!  It's really hard to get a person's personality right, since you've never known them. Also, DrP's talent is being wasted :)

Ignore drp, a story doesn't need to be funny. :P

Thanks for all that! I'll definitely change up your personality in the chapters soon to come.

LOL

QuoteIgnore drp, a story doesn't need to be funny.

I don't think he meant it that way, I think he was saying that it WAS a little more funny, not that it SHOULD be a little more funny. But I mean, I could be wrong about that.

That's pretty good for a start.  ;D

I recommend you give the characters some background next chapter.

I laughed out loud at several parts, particularly Fingerz' introduction and my perspective.

My personality--I'm not stupid, just unreliable. Also my Spinda isn't good...I just insist that he is. Nobody else agrees xD

I really like this. You have really got the art of storytelling down...I just hope you manage to finish this. Don't rush through it like I did with The Will To Go On though...I was really anxious to write the last few chapters so I kinda sped through some important stuff.

Also, my character usually fights with a wooden staff although doesn't mind fighting with other items that resemble staves, such as pvc pipes.
Even though he can sometimes zone off a bit, it's difficult to sneak up on him.

It's been quite a long time, hasn't it? Sorry, just got out of the whole writing stories thing. Well, I'm back! The story was almost finished when I stopped, so I thought, why not just finish it up? This chapter is mostly giving background on the characters. In the next chapters, I'll go into detail about the Bowser sided people. So, here it is! Chapter 2 of the Epics of Nintendo. Hope you like it.

---Chapter 2---

I stood there. That's all I did. Just stood there. Bored. Tired. Well, I really don't have anything else better to do. I mean, someone has to do the boring stuff, am I right? It has been almost four hours of endless patrol, walking from one side of the castle to another... Well, at least my break is in two min- Wait, what?! Aw crud, this paper says two hours! Well, there goes my luck. Hmm... I wonder how Slow is doing? I haven't seen him for a while now... He better not be sleeping again! JFK will have his head if he's caught snoozing on the job. Oh wait, there he is. Aw man. He's got his Spinda, too.
"Hey, what's happenin' Ray! Finally, I got JFK's permission to bring Spinda with me to work! No more havin' to carry around that spear anymore," he tells me. I look down next to him to see his Spinda looking like he just chugged down ten gallons of rum.
"How is he doing? I haven't seen him in quite a while."
"Well, training wise, he has really improved! I think he could take on any intruder to step foot in the castle!"
"Spin, Spinda!" Spinda shouts in unison, while falling over to take a nap.
"Like trainer like Pokemon, I suppose. I'll see you later, Slow." I reply back, walking away and back down the hallway.
"Ya, see you lat- Wait, what's that supposed to mean?"
"Bye!" I shout, walking out into the distance.
"Hmm... Come on Spinda, I don't think JFK will mind us taking a quick break!" I heard Slow say dimly down the hallway. Oh, man... He will never change.

We were all sitting in the waiting room; waiting, of course. Fingerz had fell asleep in his chair, Jerry was just sitting there staring off into space, and... Hmm... That's strange, where's-
"Guys! Guys! Where's the general?" Ragster runs in and asks.
"He's in the meeting room. Why do you think we're sitting here waiting?" I respond.
"Ugh... Well, i-it's not that serious, I guess." He says, sitting down, fidgeting his thumbs. Hmm... What's the rush for? We're waiting for the same thing as him; to finally be placed in the toad army, and to finally fight.
"So, how'd you guys end up being here?" Jerry asks, breaking the silence.
"Well, if you must now," I reply, "my adventure started back when only the Kanto region was known of. I remember when I found my first Pokemon: Abra. Man, was he a tough one. Kept teleporting everywhere, and I never even thought that I would catch him."
"So how'd you catch him?" Fingerz asks, awaking from his sleep.
"I figured out the patterns of his teleporting, and anticipated his every movement. I threw the Pokeball at a spot that he should of teleported to if the pattern was right, and I was right. The Pokeball hit him right on his head, and he was finally mine. Ever since that day, we started traveling everywhere. Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, all of them. Through time, he evolved into Kadabra, then finally into Alakazam. We were just looking for a great challenge, so we decided to join the army. Hopefully I won't regret that decision."
   "That's pretty cool!" Jerry adds.
"Well, if you want to know where I came from," Fingerz says, "It all started on that dark, stormy, April night. I was traveling the daily route to send out mail to villagers, when I stumbled across a strange, robed man. I accidentally bumped into him, making him drop the box that was held in his hand. I picked it up for him and apologized, but then he just runs off without a word spoken! The day after that, another shady man happened to run across me. He was acting like the world was going to end, I'll tell ya! He told me to follow him, but it wasn't really a choice, considering he grabbed my arm and started dragging me across the road. I asked for his name, and he yelled out to the top of his lungs, "I am Gagolia Hursanchopomarniack!"
"Hursanwhoflomaniac?" Ragster says, trying to understand if he had heard him right.
"No, Hur-san-chop-o-marn-i-ack! When he took me back to his palace, he told me about what was going on. That strange robed man that I saw the other day wasn't carrying any ordinary box, it was a key. A key to a door that held the most feared beast in the nation; Galvisorous Tectorion, who was a giant underwater sea dragon. He told me that my father was a great ninja fighter, so began training me for the terrors soon to come. I learned how to weild any weapon and use them properly, but I also was trained in hand to hand combat. He put me through some rough trials, and some of the most dangerous. I remember once, I battled and defeated the great Fistakion Horasi with only a staff in my hand! But anyway, I was sent on the treacherous journey across the Rivers of Dark Magic, in-between the Valleys of the Great Spider King, and through the Marshes of Death to finally reach Tectorion. I saw the strange robed man in front of the giant door which held the beast. I tried to stop him, but it was already to late. He opened the door than disappeared, no trace what-so-ever. Behind the door and out of the the giant ocean of blue which held him intact, came Galvisorous Tectorion. I grabbed my sword and shield and prepared for the most ultimate of ultimate battles! The duel took over two hours before I became victor, slicing his head right off his neck. Man, was he ever a fierce challenge..." Everyone was silent for about five seconds before he continued yet again to wrap it up.
"Today, we still are unaware of where the strange robed man went to, but I know that we will catch him. Two years after Tectorion's defeat, I decided to join the toad army to feel the thrill of fighting yet again. And so, here I am!" We all stared at Fingerz, not saying a word. I looked over at Jerry, and he looked at me. I saw on his a face a smirk arising, and so was one on mine. Me, Jerry and Ragster burst into laughter. Ha ha ha! What fool is he trying to trick?!
"Uh... Why are we laughing?" Fingerz asks.
"That was a real nice story you made up for us Fingerz! But seriously, how did you end up here?" Jerry replies back to his comment.
   "What? You don't believe me?"
"Oh come on! That story is impossible to believe!" I respond.
"It's true! All that's true! Aw, come on guys!"
The laughter dims down a little bit after a while. Once Jerry cools down, he starts to answer his own question.
"Where I come from is a small island not too far away from Hyrule. I grew up learning how to be a great fighter, training every day and night. I never knew that it would save my life." Ooh, I think, this sounds good.
"It was midnight. I was out in our backyard training with my staff, when I heard what sounded like running in the bushes out in the front yard. When I went to check, there were two robbers stealing all of our food. I ran over there as fast as I could, trying to stop the robbers. When they saw me coming, they pulled out their staffs as well. But they weren't like mine, they were more like stakes, which kinda' scared me. But I didn't back down. We fought and fought until I knocked the stakes right out of their hands. I called for the night guards near the castle to take them away, and when they did, I felt a strong force inside my heart, a feeling that I should become a protector, a defender, a guardian. Once I heard about Bowser's uprising, I just had to join the toad army. I swear to defeat Bowser and save the Mushroom Kingdom from any harm."
"It's nice to know that you fight for a good reason!" Ragster says.
"Well? What about you?" I ask Ragster.
"Me? My story isn't as interesting as all of yours..." Ragster says, pausing for about five seconds.
"I'm waiting," I reply back, not caring of the comment made before.
"Alright, fine. When I was living in Cianwood Town, I saw a live broadcast of Professor Birch on TV talking about the new discovery of Hoenn. Right then and there, I wanted to go there as soon as possible. Once I arrived at Hoenn on the S.S. Anne, I was seeing all different types of new Pokemon everywhere. It was like a totally new world. The only Pokemon I had with me at the time was Charizard, but unbeknownst to me, I'd leave that island with two Pokeballs strapped on my belt. When I reached Littleroot Town, I found Professor Birch himself. I ran up to him wanting to ask for an autograph, but then I realized that he was in a Pokemon battle. It was him and his Zigzagoon versus a wild Treecko. I heard him yelling all types of different commands, like 'Tackle!' and 'Dodge it!'. Of course, I didn't get in his way. I don't think he even realized that I was there he was so caught up in the fight. The battle went on and on for about five minutes, until it finished with the wild Treecko the victor. Once it had won, it jumped off into the woods. The look in his eyes told me that he meant business with that Treecko. Professor Birch introduced himself to me, and asked me to come back to his lab. Once I got there, he told me about how he's always been trying to catch that Treecko. Then, he actually asked me to help him catch it! I agreed obviously, who wouldn't? He gave me five Pokeballs to use, and so began my journey to find that wild Treecko. I started in the first route north of Littleroot Town, searching every single nook and cranny. Once I had reached Oldale Town, I was starting to think that Trecko could be 10 miles up the road already. I sat down outside the Pokecenter to take a rest, but then something caught my eye. There was something shuffling in the bush, so I got up and checked it out. When I peeked inside of the bush, the wild Treecko jumped out in front of me! I quickly drew my Pokeball, and threw out Charizard. I was thinking to myself, Alright, this is an overkill... But, when I ordered my Charizard to shoot out his Flamethrower, the Treecko just jumped out of the way! If I told Charizard to use wing attack, Treecko would just simply dodge it. I guess type advantage doesn't matter if you can't hit the target. Soon the Treecko turned from defense to offense. It was throwing pounds and tackles everywhere. My Charizard had the strength to handle the attacks, but if I didn't stop the Treecko soon, even Charizard could faint. once Treecko had tackled Charizard yet again, I had an idea. 'Grab it!' I yelled. Charizard took no hesitation in following my command. He quickly grabs the Treecko by the arm, and holds it up in front of his head. As the Treecko was trying to break free from the grapple, I quickly made my next move. 'Dragon Claw, go!' I shout. Charizard uses one Dragon Claw and it's all over. Treecko lands, and I quickly draw an empty Pokeball from my bag. I threw the ball at Treecko, and he was finally mine. I picked the ball up, feeling the most excited I have ever been, and ran back to give it to Professor Birch. Once I got there, he told me that I could keep it, and so I did. We have had so many adventures together since then, and we decided that joining the toad army would also be a great one."
"Hmm, not bad, I suppose," I reply to the long, dragged out story. Soon later, we heard the door to the meeting room open, and the general walks out.
"Hey! So, what's the news, general?" Jerry asks.
"You guys are coming with me. Someone wants to see you."
"Alright, who is it?" I soon ask later.
   "Mario."

I might of over-exaggerated Mario's voice just a little bit, but here it goes, Chapter 3:

---Chapter 3---

I steadily place my hand on the door, slowly opening it to reveal Bowser's throne room.
"Sir? May I speak to you?" I say slowly.
"Yes, what is it JFK?" I hear him say back in a low, cackling voice.
   "I am requesting a promotion."
"A promotion, hmm?" He replies, pausing for a few seconds.
"What makes you think that you earned it?"
"Well," I respond, "First off, you give me an unreliable slacker as one of my troops, and second of all, my paycheck is as small as a Pikmin!" I don't know what I was getting into. No one ever speaks to Bowser this way. How will he react? Is he the quite and tense type? Or the yell-everything-bad-about-me-in-front-of-my-face type?
"Mmm... I see..." He replies to my non-sense. Ah, the quite type. There was about 5 seconds of silence in the room.
"Very well. I will double your paycheck." Wh-what? He agreed?!
   "Uh-h, thank you, s-sir!?"
"You seem surprised. Now leave before I change my mind."
"Ah-ahem. Yes sir." I walk out of the room, feeling good about myself. When I step back into the hallway, I find Slow and Ray standing next to the wall, whistling.
   "You guys weren't-"
"No, uh-uh," Slow says, Ray knocking him in the shoulder afterwards.
"Right. Get back to work, now! We got a shift to run, you know?"
"Yes sir!" they both shout, walking back to their guard post. I walk back down the hallway, and try to hold back the smile raising on my face.

We all walk in with the general to see Mario and the rest of the counselors. The people that I recognized around the meeting table were Mario, Luigi, the Princess and Toadsworth. The others were just mostly toads.
"Greetings, t'anks a'for a'coming!" Mario says to all of us.
"Allow me to introduce all of us. Dis a'here is my lil' bro Wee'gee..."
   "Hi'ya!" Luigi replies.
   "...dis is a'Toadsworth..."
   "Hello! Hello!" Toadsworth responds.
   "...and last a'but a not a'least, Princess a'Peach!"
"Nice to meet all of you," the princess replies.
"Now then, allow a'me to explain what's a'goin' on a'here. You see, it all a'started..." I lose focus on what Mario is talking about and see DrP walking quickly down the hallway. He looked like he had just won a relay race. I did notice a Bob-omb strapped on to his belt, which was a little strange. All of a sudden, he stops, heads back the opposite way, then went straight into a different room. What's he doing? I think to myself.
"...to the toad army. And you are?" Toadsworth asks while stepping in front of me.
"Uh, uh... Fingerz! Yeah, Fingerz. Uh, could I be excused?"
"Well what for? Don't you want to be part of the toad army?"
"Yes sir, but it's just that... I... I have to use the bathroom!"
"Oh, well, alright. You're excused." Toadsworth says, moving on to Jerry. I take off down the hallway and turn into the room where DrP entered. I saw a few chairs and bookshelves, but no DrP. Where'd he go? I then notice an air vent was open near the bottom of the back wall. What in the world is he thinking? Something strange is going on, and I'm about to find out what it is. I fall to the floor and crawl into the air vent.

It's a beautiful Thursday morning, and where am I at? Stuck in this small, cooped up jail known as Bowser's castle. It's not like I want to fight or anything, it's just that I could be doing something more calming and peaceful then this. For now, I'll just sit here and meditate...
"Hey Ray!" Slow yells next to my ear.
   "Oh, hello Slow."
   "What'cha doin' just sitting here?"
"Meditating," I respond, taking a deep breath in, then out.
"Meditating? I thought that was for the psychic people?"
"No, not really. Meditating is really just concentrating deeply while ignoring outside disturbances."
"Uh, am I a disturbance?" Slow asks in unison. I just sit there for a few seconds, quiet.
"Ray? Hey! You awake?" He says, then shrugs his shoulders and walk of. But before he could make it all the way down the hallway, JFK steps right in front of him.
"You two. Over here. Now." I stand up, stretch out my arms, and start walking over to JFK.
"Bowser wants a word with you two," he tells us.
"B-Bowser?" Slow says, shaking to the knees.
"What does he want with us?"
"He did not inform me of the reason. Now then, off you go," he replies, then walks off. I look at Slow, who's still shaking like were standing next to the South Pole.
"Did he seem... different, to you?" I ask Slow.
"Different? Different..." he says, pauses, then looks down to the floor.
"Not really! Well, let's go. Maybe it won't be too bad! Maybe he wants to give us a promotion!" He says, then starts dashing down the hallway. I start to walk behind Slow, hoping what he said was true.

When we arrive at Bowser's throne room, we both stop, our mouths gaping to the size of the door. I put my hand on the door and slowly begin opening it. I could feel my hand loosely falling off the door, as it swings open with more force than I originally applied. I then saw a koopa, standing in front of me holding a phone.
"I'm sorry, but Bowser is currently running errands at the time," he says to us.
"Wait, what? Errands? What kind of errands?" Slow asks.
"I'm sorry, you'll have to come back later. He left for business, that is all he said."
"Business?" I say, wondering what kind of business Bowser would have that he would not inform us of.
"But he sent us down here to talk with us. He wouldn't just leave right after he made a conference," I reply.
"He's not here at the moment. Nothing I can do can fix that. Now, have a nice day," he says, then closes the door.
"What the hell? Is this some kind of prank?!" Slow yells.
"Calm down, there's got to be a reason why he left in such a hurry," I respond, hoping to cool him down a bit. We both walk down the hallway, both wondering what the problem could be.
"Well, he said it was business related, so maybe it had to do with the military supplies."
"Whatever it is, it had better be more important than my promotion!"
"We don't even know that we're getting a promotion, Slow." We both sit down at our guard posts, watching the goombas and the koopas rally up in the stronghold. Slow slowly falls asleep, while I just sit there. While concentrate, I think about how this all started. Mario. That jerk. He was the one who caused this. Opening fire on us like we were doing harm to them. We had never fought Mario in a few decades, and we thought that we'd have peace! But no, Mario and his army just had to attack. We will get them, I know it. We've been pushed around like a 6th grader walking in a stampede of 8th graders. Well that's no more. We will have our revenge.
"You guys!" JFK yells, Slow jumping and falling to his face.
"You were supposed to go see Bowser, didn't I tell you that?"
"But he wasn't there!" Slow responds.
   "Wasn't there?"
"Yes, his servant told us that he had ‘errands' to run," I reply back.
"Errands? I was not informed of such. He always informs me of the going ons. He wouldn't just leave."
"Well, he did." We all stand there, thinking what the heck was going on.
"Sir! Sir!" A goomba yells, while running up to JFK.
   "What is it?" Slow responds.
"I'm the sir here, you idiot!" JFK shouts.
   "Oh, sorry."
"We have figured out what the issue is with Bowser!"
"Ugh, finally. Well, what is it?"
"It's something terrible. This could cost us the war."

Good job!  I like how you portray the characters' personalities.  Although Mario's voice is a-bit exaggerated, it's not-a much and isn't very noticable.  I like how Bowser isn't the whole "tyrant" type that yells all the time and demands his servants to bring him stuff.

My character is near-perfect, just how I imagined him to be :P and it's almost how I'm like in real life.  Meditation can be split into many parts - one is the one you described, for ignoring outside things and for silent introspection.  Another is to focus your energy, like the pokemon move that meditite knows :P After the meditation reflexes and senses are sharpened.  Also under this group is meditating so while meditating, you use your ear to more precisely decipher the sounds and directions/distance the sounds are coming from. Just wanted to throw this in.

I also like how other people's characters are in the story.  I don't know about other people's opinions, though, since it's their characters, not mine.

Your endings are good - now I really can't wait to find out what happened with Bowser :P

I hope DrP doesn't murder someone O.O

Let's see... There's Jerry, Greg, Fingerz and Me on Peach's side, and JFK, Ray, DrP and Slow on Bowser's side, so they are even.

I'm in the middle of completion for my next chapter, so I don't know if I'll get you in it. I'll try, though.

Eh, I don't like making people "die", maybe in like fights they get knocked out or something. If there is some kind of death, it wouldn't be like, stab in the heart, it would be more like fall off a cliff, or something. But I don't plan on making anybody die.

Havn't been on the forum for awhile, so I havn't read the stories until now
I gotta say that it is much better than I thought it was, took some time to read through

The background stories are nice, the mainstory seem to advance in a good way and you're leaving those secrets for later parts
I would want some more describing into the story (remembering my Swedish-teachers -.-) as it makes you live into the story more

*Removed this text to add into the surprise, since Ragster already have read it*

I really hope for more parts as this went straight into my heart! I'm not that guy that use to read longer stories, but I've read every single word so far

Keep 'em coming

My character was supposed to be sort of like that, except leaning towards Peach's side.
As my first post mentioned, he likes to help people, no matter which side they are on. :3

Later I also mentioned that "helping" people includes sparring with them to help them train.

But yeah, I really am looking forward to the next chapter of your story.

^ Then I guess I'll put you a part of my secret plan. It will add a good twist.

Alright, this chapter is a little bit shorter, but I just wanted to imply some more stuff in the next chapter.

---Chapter 4---

I walk out of the meeting to find another group of people waiting to see the counselors. I notice Fingerz was still gone, I guess he must of had to go really bad.
"Finally, we got into the army," Greg says, "now we can actually fight!"
"I wonder when we're going to actual begin the war," I reply.
"That is what we're going to be talking about," the general says as he walks out of the meeting room.
   "Ugh, more talking?" Greg responds.
"Don't worry, it will be quick. First off, we need to talk about... whisper whisper whisper blah blah blah whisper whisper whisper blah blah blah whisper whisper whisper... "

"What?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!?" I shout to the top of my lungs. I was about ready to fry his face off.
"I am sorry Bowser, but you did not follow our agreements. We supply the tank brigade, and you supply the goods. Where is my share of the deal?" General Guy says in his little pip-squeak voice.
"I have sent you over 1,000 pounds of food and water! What else do you shy guys need?!"
"1,000 pounds cannot support our entire population."
"You are not leaving this army! I have sent you nearly all of my goods, and for what? Nothing! Now you're just QUITTING?!"
"Quitting? That is not the term I would use."
"Oh yeah? How about running away? What? Is the little shy guy scared of a few little toads?"
"You do not understand!" he begins yelling in more active voice, "Our people are suffering from a famine, and I cannot risk losing them! I need someone that will supply me with the goods that I need!" I snarl and put my hand over my face.
"Mer... General, how about I double your goods?"
"2,000 pounds? How in the world can you support that?" Finally, he sounded interested in my offer. Maybe I can still keep him in my army.
"Don't worry about it! I'll get it to you, no sweat."
"Well... Alright, but if I don't have that promised 2,000 pounds by the end of the month, I'm gone," he says, walking out the door. Bwa ha ha! I knew I could keep him in... Did I just promise to 2,000 pounds?!
"Where am I going to get 2,000 pounds of supplies?! Ugh..." I walk out the door and head outside, shoving all the small defenseless shy guys out of the way.

"Ah ha!" I whisper, as I find the panel below me holding the electrical room. I quickly bash the vent open, and jump down into the room. I hear a few ‘what was that's, so I hide behind a large pipe, carrying the panel along with me so they don't notice it. I peek over the pipe to see three toads walking into the room. They look around the room, but find nothing.
"Must of been a rat," one of the toads say, as they all walk away. I swiftly jump from the hiding place, and run over to the main electrical breaker. When I am working on shutting the systems off, I hear a quiet bang coming from above me. When I look up, I could see something disappear quickly from the air vent. Must of been a rat, I think to myself. Once I finish shutting the systems down, I prepare to turn off the main  breaker. But before I could even pull the switch, to my left I hear a loud,
"Stop right there!" I take a look over my side to see some guy.
"And who might you be?" I ask, in a voice that didn't sound so suspicious.
"I guess you can call me, the guardian apprentice ninja!" He yells, seeming all confident about himself.
"Oh great, so what do you want, mister ‘guardian apprentice ninja'?"
"I'm here to stop you from your tyranny!" he shouts back.
"Does it look like I'm doing anything bad to you? I'm just standing in the electrical room."
"Well, uh... What's with... So, what's with the Bob-omb, huh?" he stutters.
   "Oh, this? I found it."
"You ‘found' it? Where do you find a Bob-omb in the middle of Princess Peach's castle?"
"That's a good question, a question that I can't answer. I wanted to show it to Mario, and see why he thought it was here."
"You can't fool me, DrP! I know all about you!"
"I don't know what you are talking about. Are you accusing me of treason?"
   "That's exactly what I'm doing."
"Well then, let me hear your proof."
   "Proof?"
"Yes, proof. You can't accuse me of treason without proof, now can you?"
   "The... The Bob-omb!"
"I told you, I was going to show it to Mario because I found it!"
"No, you were going to use it to blow this castle sky-high!"
"Do you have any evidence of that?" It came down to an investigation. I wasn't ever gonna crack, though. He was about to open his mouth yet again, when a few guards came stomping in here.
"Alright, you stupid rats, where are... What the...?" He says, turning his head to see me and the ninja dude.
"What in the world are you guys doing down here?" He continues.
"Guard! Arrest this man!" the ninja shouts.
"Oh, don't listen to him," I reply, "he's crazy. He fell and bumped his head."
"What? No I didn't!" he yells.
"Look! He totally forgot all about it! I think you really need to go check him out." I say.
"Alright. Don't worry, I'll get you to the doctor," he says, grabbing his shirt and dragging him along.
"No! NO! He's gonna blow us sky-high! Arrest him!" he shouts as he's carried off. I smile and wave to him, and he smiles and waves back, also! What in the world? Did he really hit his head? Aw, forget it. I need to get back to work. When they are out of sight, I kneel down beside the electrical system. This is the perfect spot to totally implode the castle, since it is far down in the basement right smack-dab in the center of the castle. It's gonna just plummet into a crater! Then Bowser will have victory! I reach to grab the Bob-omb that was tied to my belt, but when I place my hand where it was supposed to be, all I felt was air. I quickly scanned my entire belt, but saw nothing. I looked everywhere on the floor, and that's when it hit me. No! It was the guardian guy! HE TOOK THE BOB-OMB! I could feel my heartbeat increase, feel every inch of blood running through me as the veins bulge out of my head.
"NOOO!!! HE WILL PAY FOR THAT!!!" I furiously shout to the top of my lungs, as I start racing down the hallway.

END OF PART I

^ Lol, I've always been bad at estimating time. Oh, and Shado, I need all of your stuff before I put you in there.

PART II

---Chapter 5---

I walk into the room and sit down on my bunk bed. Ray walks in and puts his spear down in the back corner.
"What do you think will happen with General Guy?" I ask. Ray stands there and looks up at the ceiling.
"I do not know... But we cannot get our hopes down. Hopefully Bowser will figure out something," he replies in a 'not sure' kind of voice. After a few seconds of silence, a voice comes on to the speakers.
"Ray and Slow to JFK's room, Ray and Slow to JFK's room. That is all."
"I wonder what he wants?" I say, as we both get up and walk out of of the room. When we reach the hallway, we could see JFK's head poking out of the door a few yards down. He waves, then heads back into his room. We finally enter the room, and find JFK sitting in a chair.
"Alright guys. Got some important information," he tells us.
"Oh, great! Is it about General Guy?" I respond.
"Yeah, he's staying with us," he says, but does not act like he finished his sentence.
"WOO-HOO!" I shout, holding up my hand for Ray to give me a high five.
"Hang on! I'm not finished!" he shouts, "Bowser promised him 2,000 pounds of food and water."
"What?!" Ray replies, "That's goods that our population needs, how does he plan to support that?"
"Well, his plan was to double everyone's paycheck, but double everyone's work. Even triple."
"Hmm, I don't know if I like the sound of more work," I reply back.
"Well, it does not matter, he will do what he pleases. Now come on, he said that he wants to meet everyone in the courtyard," he says, walking out of the room, Ray following behind. I look down on the table to see a note folded up. I open it to see writing, saying, 'the time is ready, S.U.S.O'. JFK quickly snags the note away from me and throws it into his dresser.
"That is nothing you should know about," he says, walking out of the room. I follow behind him, shrugging my shoulders at Ray.

"Alright, do we all have the plan figured out?" the general asks. We all look around at each other nodding our heads.
   "We do, sir," Jerry replies.
"Good. Phase one will start tomorrow at sunrise. We will rendezvous near the western yoshi village, where we will meet the yoshi's sergeant major Yoshitaka. He will aid us in the phase. You're dismissed, troops," The general says, as we all salute him. As he walks away, I stretch out and let out a big yawn.
"Alright then. I'm going home, see you guys in the morning," I say, walking off.
"Later Ragster. I guess I'll be going too." Jerry says, as they all dispatch off.

I was walking down the hallway, when I walked by the medical room, to see Fingerz sitting on the bed. I double-take, then see the doctor examining his head. I stop and peek inside.
"Clearly your head has no damage," the doctor says, "I guess you are free to go, just refrain from hitting it!"
"Yeah, yeah," Fingerz says, walking out of the room.
"Hey, Fingerz!" I shout, him turning around to see me.
"Oh, it's you, " he says, "Could you... keep a secret?"
"Sure! I know some secrets right now as we spea- Oh, crap..."
"Hmm... Good at keeping secrets, huh? Well, I'll trust you anyway," he says, reaching for his belt. He pulls up a Bob-omb in his right hand. I knew it the instance my eye laid sight on it.
"Let me guess, you got that from DrP, didn't you?" he leans back with a how-in-the-world-did-you-know-that kind of face.
"How did you know?" he asks.
"I overheard him talking on his comm, saying he had brought a Bob-omb."
"So it is true!" he says, snapping his finger.
"He is a traitor! I just knew it!"
"Mr. Fingerz, is it?" A nurse walks in and interrupts.
"Uh, yeah, that's me... Is there a problem?" Fingerz asks.
"Dr. Pierce would like to see you."
"Wait, my head was cleared! The doctor said that there was nothing wrong with it!"
"This doctor wants to make sure, the other doctor who viewed was but a recruit. We're just making sure."
"Oh my gosh... Fine, but there is nothing wrong with it!" Fingerz says, as the nurse walks away.
"Well, I have to go," I say, "hope your head gets better." I walk off, hearing Fingerz shout,
   "MY HEAD IS FINE!"

I walk into the throne room, seeing all kinds of people. Koopas, hammer brothers, goombas... All of them. I then saw Bowser step up to the podium, taping the mic and saying 'is this thing on?' once or twice.
"May I have your attention," he says into the microphone. Everybody just keeps chattering.
"I said, may I have your attention!" he shouts louder, while everybody just continues to talk.
"SHUT UP!!!" he furiously yells into the mic. Everybody goes dead silent, and stare up to the podium.
"Ahem, now then... As you all know, the princess has ordered war against us. Not the other way around, for once. We all knew this day was coming, the day the princess and her toad army finally fought back. Well, I say, bring'em on!" Everybody starts cheering and whistling.
"Yes, yes... Settle down... Now then, moving on to the plan. You always need to have a plan and a strategy to win a war. And, here to announce the plans, I would like to present you, the leader of the koopa army, General Wario!" You could hear the claps ten miles away from here they were so loud.
"AH AH AH! Thank you, you're too kind!" Wario says, waving his hands back and forth.
"Alright. You punks better listen up, because I ain't tellin' this plan twice! Now then, the first plan of action would be to wipe out any existing forces around the castle first. That includes yoshi's, toad's, anybody! We do not want any outside annoyances to become bothersome against our big strike. Once that's finished, we will move on to the castle, to begin the second act. As you know, DrP, one of our latest recruits, is at the castle as we speak. He will be the one to detonate a bomb beneath the castle, hopefully making it weak enough to be destroyed by General Guy's tank brigade. Phase three is particularly that, where we destroy the castle, and finish off the troops as the come running out. Then we will victory! ALL HAIL KING KOOPA!" He shouts, waving and walking away, while everybody begins clapping and cheering. While Bowser comes back on the intercom, I decide to walk over to a group of three people. I notice that one looked oddly familiar, so I decide to ask him.
"Hey, you don't happen to be Slow, do you?"
"No way, Dudeman?" he says back. We both perform our secret hand-shake. It's not much, really. Just fist bump once in the front, hit up, hit down, smack it left, smack it right, through the hoop, over the hill, under the rock and below the tree.
"It is you! How'd you end up here?" he asks.
"I decided to join his army just for the money, really. Right now, i'm part of transportation."
   "Transportation?"
"Yeah, I'm driving back and forth delivering goods and people to where they need to be."
   "Hmm, that sounds boring."
"Boring? You don't know the half of it! Racing down Koopa Valley is most exhilarating!"
"Racing? Why in the world would you race with passengers aboard?"
   "I don't know, 'cause it's fun."
"Well, what do the koopas do when they get off?"
"I don't know, they always seem to rush off to the bathroom. Maybe it's because they want to see why their face turned green. I'd hate it if my face turned green..."
"That ends our presentation," I hear Bowser say, "all hail King Koopa!"
"ALL HAIL KING KOOPA!" everyone shouts back.
"Welp, I guess I'll see you later. Gotta get back back to work."
"All right, see ya!" he says, as I walk off. When I reached my car, I noticed it was filled with koopas, ready to be transported back home. I get into my seat, strap up, and revved up the tires. I take off down the hill, racing over 120 mph.
   I love my job!

I strapped on my gloves, got my stethoscope, and walked out of the doctor's room with my white coat on. I saw Fingerz sitting on the bed, waiting for me to arrive.
"Greetings, you must be Fingerz!" I say to him.
"Hey, doc. Listen, my head is perfectly fine, don't worry about it."
"Sorry, but I must see for myself before you can truly go." I begin looking around his head for any damaged spots. I noticed the Bob-omb strapped on to the back of him.
"Sir, is that a Bob-omb I see on your belt?" I ask him.
"Uh, yeah. This guy named DrP was about to use it to destroy the castle, so I wanted to show it to Mario as proof that he is a traitor."
"Oh my," I reply, "and he must of tricked me into thinking that you hurt your head so we could take you away, didn't he?"
   "FINALLY! SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS!" he shouts.
"Here, I'll go show it to Mario this instant. You go get some rest, you got a big day ahead of you tomorrow, don't you?"
"Thanks doc!" he says, as he hands me the Bob-omb. I take it from his hand and take a close look at it.
"No... Thank you," I say, slamming the Bob-omb onto his head. He fell unconscious on to the bed.
"Idiot! Dr. Pierce? You really fell for that?" I say, walking out of the door with the Bob-omb hidden behind me.
"He just needs some rest," I say to the nurse, walking by me and giving me a thumbs up. When she's out of sight, I remove my doctor equipment, and head down the stairs.
   Now no-one can stop me!!!

---Chapter 6---

My heart sunk into a dark-less pit. The only thing that I thought to do was run, run run run. My heart raced almost as fast as I did, my sweat was pouring down like a waterfall, and I could hear every single beat my heart made. I rush out the doors, feeling the ground shake. It was like I was walking on a trampoline. I take a quick glance back at the castle, or at least what remains of it. The towers had crumbled, the walls came down like they were made out of Lincoln Logs. All that remained was the stronghold, which was holding on by a thread. I shake my head, and turn around to see an endless line of koopa troopers. I stop, skidding my feet, my heart, falling into an even darker abyss. I could see the row of tanks lined up behind the troopers, and that's when I knew... It was over. I could hear the general shout "fire the tanks", as I fell to my knees. The thunderous clap of the tanks ringed over and over in my ears. The sound of the dying castle made them ring even worse... As I saw a Bob-omb fall right next to me, I did nothing. There was nothing I could do. We were finished. I fell to the ground, ready for the explosion to occur. I could hear it conversing with me, yelling "wake up", "wake up". My eyes. fading... Seeing black... I cannot hear the Bob-omb anymore, just a soft ring... The Bob-omb comes into my head again, still yelling, "wake up", "wake up", only in a different, more recognizable voice. My blood goes cold, my heart starts to race, and I jump off the bed. I take a few seconds to catch my breath, then I look up to see Ragster, Jerry, and Greg.
"You alright?" Jerry says, "you were dreaming."
"I'm guessing a nightmare," Greg replies.
"Yeah, you were freaking out!" Ragster also adds in.
"Phew... I'm... I'm fine," I say, looking at the clock next to my bed.
9 o'clock!? I gotta get ready! I think, seeing the time.
"When are we heading off to the village?" I ask.
"We'll be leaving around 10, so you need to get ready," Jerry responds.
"Alright," I say, standing up and leaving the room. Although I feel oddly strange and have a massive headache, for the life of me, I feel as though as I am forgetting something... Oh, well. It may come to me later. I put my shoes on and walk outside. That had better of been a nightmare, not a vision...

So, first patrol, now this... Working endlessly to grow food and gather water. My troops are already exhausted from all of the work, I'm sure that they are sick of this, too... But Bowser made a promise, a promise that we must help him on. I reach into my dresser and grab the note that Slow happened to stumble across.
Time will only tell when it happens... I'm sorry guys, but I just can't tell you the truth until that said time has came. I hear Ray walk into the room and sit his spear down in the corner of the room.
"Hey, boss," he says to me.
"Boss? Haven't heard you call me that in a while."
"Well, I mean, you are my boss," he replies. I hear the phone ring next to the table. I grab it and answer it.
"Hello?" I say into the phone.
   "JFK. This is Brolly."
"Oh, hey, uh... Hang on a sec," I respond, covering the phone with my hand.
"Business call. They want me to go check something," I say to Ray.
"Oh, alright, see ya," he replies back. I walk out of the room and head into the armory.
"Yes, this is agent JFK. What is it?"
"You received the note, didn't you?"
   "Yes sir, I did."
"Then you are aware of what's happening. Come to the meeting area in oh-four hundred hours."
"Alright. I'll be there," I say, hanging up the phone. I walk out of the room, looking around to see if anyone saw me or not. The coast was clear, so I started to walk down the hallway. If this plan succeeds, it will end all of this sense-less violence.

I sit down in the chair, watching the clock, mourning to myself that 10 o'clock would come faster. I want to get on with the fight, so we can finally show Bowser who's the real boss around here. 9:23... 9:24... 9:25... Ugh, hurry up... 9:26... When it's around 9:27, I see Jerry pick his phone up and answer it. He says a few "Yeah"s and "OK"s, then stands up.
"Business call. They want me to go check something," he says, walking out of the room. Ragster and Fingerz are preparing, when they should have been prepared hours ago. Can't they realize that this war can cost us the entire Mushroom Kingdom? Of course, I'm part of the toad army, so I highly doubt anything bad will happen to us. I'm gonna pulverize Bowser's army and his castle.

9:43. It's almost time to go. Jerry comes back into the room and sits down. 9:44... 9:45... Ragster and Fingerz are finally done preparing. 9:46... 9:47... 9:48... At 9:49, the general finally walks in.
   "You guys ready?" he says.
"I've been ready 2 hours ago," I reply back.
"Oh, don't listen to him, he's just a bit tired," Jerry said.
"No, don't worry. I'm sure I've kept you all waiting all a little bit too long."
   A little? I think.
"Come on, we're ready to set off." We all walk out the door, and out the castle.

I sit in the chair viewing the endless amounts of plans for the attack. I could see my brother talking to Toadsworth, probably about our new tank model. The princess was answering phone calls and writing some information down. I let out a big yawn, and flip the page of the book.
"Aye! Mad'io!" my brother shouts at me.
   "Come here!"
"Okee-dokee!" I respond back, getting up and walking over there.
"Master Luigi and I were discussing the idea of having two barrels on one tank, is that possible?" Toadsworth asks.
"What we a'talkin' about? Two barrels on a'one turret, or a'two individual turrets?"
   "Two individual turrets."
"Well, seems a'possible, if we were to increase the size of the chassis."
"Uh, what if we a'-" before Luigi could finish his sentence, a loud bang was heard in the room. We all look at the direction it came from, and saw the door open with two people standing in front of it.
"You all are coming with us."
"Whoa whoa whoa, you ain't taking these guys anywhere!" one of the toad guards reply. The two men take out the toads with a few fancy punches and kicks. In five seconds, no, less, both guards were laying on the floor knocked out.
"Like I said. You're coming with us."
"Stand a'back, everyone, I got this," I say, stepping up to the two guys.
   "Who are you? You're a'Bowser's men aren't a'you?" I say to them.
"You all have to come with us. Now." They talk like there machines. Enough of this. I quickly throw a punch at one of the guards, but without hesitation, he quickly grabs my fist and throws it out of the way. That started the fight. The one guy threw a kick at me, which hit my gut. I stood firm, and entered combat with both of them. I was blocking kicks and punches while throwing them too. The guards were tough, no doubt. I gave them my old fashion fire fist, which knocked the one person to the floor. He quickly got up and began throwing hits again. Very rarely would I land hits on them, and very rarely would they land hits on me... It was an even fight. But one of us will have to break eventually. I quickly grab one of the guys by the collar and throw him out of the way. But, when I looked back to see the other, the only thing I felt was his fist pounding into my face. I was knocked to floor, and before I knew it, all I saw was black...

I can see a lot of people are starting to write now, and I just don't want this story to fall behind! I guess I have to start writing some more, or else that'll happen.

---Chapter 7---

After a few hours of traveling, we finally arrive at the yoshi village. Standing at the gate of the village, was the sergeant major of the yoshis. He walked up to us and grinned. He started speaking some kind of strange words to us, mostly consisting of "yo"s and "yoshi"s.
"How in the world do we figure out what this guy is saying?" Greg asks.
"Don't worry, I can speak yoshi," the general responds.
   "You can? Wow," Fingerz replies.
"He says that it's nice to finally meet all of you, and that he's heard a lot about you." The yoshi continues to speak his native tongue.
"The yoshi army has been preparing to aid you on your journey." Again, the yoshi speaks.
"He will send us with his most best and experienced troops to help us out. But for now, he must stay and ready his troops for the attack." The yoshi turns his back and waves back at us, as he walks off back to the training ground.
"Most best and experienced troops, huh? Well, let's see ‘em!" Greg says, the general turning around to him.
"These troops have been trained under the best fighter out of the entire Mushroom Kingdom, trust me, you won't be disappointed," the general replies back. Coming out of the training ground were four yoshis, each holding a different weapon from each other. They stop in front of the general and shake hands. The general starts speaking non-sense that I can't seem to make out. The yoshis all nod and start conversing their language with the general. The general turns around again, facing us.    "We are ready." I jump back in shock along with the other guys, Fingerz falling to ground and exclaiming,
"Holy crap! You can talk?!" It was true. The yoshi spoke english.
"Well yeah, we were trained to speak english. We don't want to have any problems trying to talk to you if the general isn't around." I shake the surprise off my face, and Fingerz jumps back on to his feet.
"Well, what are we waiting for?" Ragster responds, "Let's go beat up some turtles!"

I drive up to the bus stop and open the door to the few people waiting next to the sign. Everyone looked familiar in the front, the usual peeps, George, Susie, Billy, Sally and Terry, but one man in the background looked oddly different... Trench coat, bowling hat... And nice shades! I need to get me some of those. Everyone passes through the door and into there seats, the strange man walking slowly behind. He puts his head down as he walks by into the bus. Hmm... This guy doesn't get out the house very often.
"Are we ready?" I say to everyone, all nodding back.
"Then hang on!" I slam my foot on the gas, hearing the tires rev then blast off, the car shooting fire out of the exhaust pipe. Everybody seemed to ignore it, they're pretty much used to it anyway. Even though this weird guy just showed up, he didn't even seem to flinch when I took off. He just sits there, starring out the window.

I came up to stop #1, seeing Susie and Billy stand up and prepare to leave the bus, the shady guy still just sitting there. As they leave they put there quarters in the box and close the door. I take off again, heading to the next stop.
Stop #2. George and Sally get up off their chairs and grab their suitcases. They walk off the bus putting their change in the box.
Well, on to the next, I suppose.
The final stop. Terry gets up and leaves the bus, but the other guy just sits there. I look back at him.
"Sir," I say, him turning to face me, "this is the last stop, I'm heading back to the compound. Are you gonna get off?" He stands up slowly and walks over to me. He looks around suspiciously, then reaches into his coat.
"Oh jeez... You're a cop aren't you?! I didn't mean to do it! The vault was just open and the guards were on their break!" He curls his eyebrows in confusion, then slowly brings out a badge from his coat. On it, read S.U.S.O.
   "Suso? You're not a cop?"
"No," he says in a deep voice.
"Oh... Uh... Well, let's just pretend you didn't hear that..."
"Sir, are you aware of what's happening?"
"Uh, no...? Should I know?" He brings out a walky-talky from his left pocket.
"Alright boys, let's rap this up," he says into it.
"Boys?" I say puzzled. I hear the door fly open, then see three people suited up just like him walk in.
"Code yellow forty-six hundred. Now," he says, another one responding,
   "Yes sir."
"Wait, what?" I say in an even more puzzled voice.
"The one brings out a can then sprays it one my face.
"Ack! What was that..." I fall to the floor, seeing nothing but black...

I looked up, still feeling a bit noxious. My head was pounding, it felt like a train just rammed right into it... I could see my brother sitting on a chair sawing logs. The princess was standing up, looking down with her hands cuffed. I couldn't tell if she was asleep or if she was just waiting. I slowly came to my feet. The princess seemed to notice.
"Thank goodness you're awake. I've been trying to get Mario up for over an hour now!" she says to me.
"Don't a'worry, I know how to get him up." I kneel down next to Mario.
"Hey Ma'dio! Lunch is a'ready, we're having lasagna!"
"What?! Really?!?!" He shouts, standing up on his feet.
"Where... Where's the lasagna?" he says.
"There is a'no lasagna you half a meatball! We're stuck in this room, and we've been trying to get you up!"
"Oh! Right, now I remember... I was knocked down by those guys. What happened to you guys?"
   "I can't remember," I say back.
"I don't either," the princess says after me. We all sit down and wait for anything. Anything at all. Then, we hear the door open.
"You guys. Come on out," the guard says to us. We all stand up and walk outside. The sheer light beaming into my eyes blinded me for a second. I rub my eyes, then could see a tall guy wearing a black suit with two other guards around him.
"Ah, the princess and the plumbers! How nice of you to join us," the tall one says to us.
"Join? Your guys knocked us out and brought us here!" Mario replies.
"They had no other choice, they were just doing their jobs. You did not agree to come with them, so they had to do what was necessary."
"What for? Why did you kidnap us?"
"Kidnap you?" the guys responds quickly after the princess's remark.
   "We just saved you."
"What?" We all say to him.
"Take a look over the horizon," he says to us, pointing his hand in the right direction.
We all look at each other, then decide to walk up the hill.
"Hurry now, you just might miss the show." We poke our heads over the hill, then jump on top of it. We could see a magnificent view of the castle. The sun was right behind it, glowing as bright as orange could get.
   "It's... It's the castle..."
   "Yes," he says.
   "What about it?" Mario responds.
"Just keep watching, you'll find out." We all stare at the castle, waiting for something to happen. I could feel the breeze of air on my mustache, the grass shuffle beneath my feet. The ground... Shaking? Yes, shaking!
"What's going on?" the princess says, "Are we having an... an earthquake?" I could see a shockwave blast off from the castle. Dust arose from the walls, shooting up miles and miles into the air. In the corner of my eye, I could see the princess cuff her hands around her mouth, Mario stepping back from the hill in shock. Debris came off the side of the walls, and the flags fell off the top of the castle, flying away into the wind. But then... From out of nowhere, an airplane came flying out from the dust. It headed off south, where Bowser's castle was located.
   "What... What just..."
"Happened?" the man said, finishing the princess's incomplete sentence.
"You see, princess, we just saved your life." I look at him in shock, and I could do was think to myself, Now what?

I sort of dragged this one out a bit, so it doesn't get very far.

---Chapter 8---

As I stand up and walk over to grab a drink, Slow comes up to me with his Spinda on his back, acting like he just got up from sleeping.
“Did ya hear the good news?” he says to me. What could possibly be good at a time like this? Oh well, better listen to it anyway.
“No, what is it?” I reply.
“General Guy said to Bowser that he will fight along with us, and that he has already prepared his tanks for battle!”
“Well that is good to hear,” I respond.
“I believe Bowser is holding a meeting in the castle courtyard tonight. I wonder what it could be about? Maybe we’re getting ready to go and fight!” He runs off after he was done. his Spinda falls off his back, then gets up and runs after Slow. I look up to the sky, and I could see something heading for the castle. It almost looked like a... A bird? No, a plane. Wait... That’s a Mushroom Flyer! Are they attacking early?
I throw down my tools then run for the door. I quickly open it to find Bowser and General Guy talking with each other. Although I know I’ll regret interrupting, I must do it anyway.
“Lord Bowser,” I say to him.
“I am in the middle of an important meeting right now, Ray. Go bother me some other time,” he replies back to me.
   “But sir, this is important.”
“More important than discussing the matters of war?”
“Sir, this has to do with the war. A Mushroom Flyer just entered the castles boundaries.”
“What?!” They both say in response. We all three run outside to see the plane approaching the castle. It was a few miles away, but we could tell that the castle was its target.
“Get me access to the castle’s tower. Now!” I quickly run inside and grab the short-wave radio sitting on the desk. I hand to Bowser and he quickly begins talking into it.
“Trooper!” he yells. I could hear snoring in the background, then a quick ‘huh’.
“Get up from your sleeping! Look to your north, you worthless reptile!”
“Oh!” he says. I could hear him begin talking.
“Mushroom Flyer #908675, you have entered the territory of Bowser’s castle. Turn your craft around or we will have to use force.” I look up at the plane to see that it wasn’t turning around.
“908675, turn your ship around immediately!” The plane wasn’t stopping, it kept on coming.
“Lord Bowser, shall I prepare the anti-aircraft turrets?”
   “Do it,” he replies.
“He-... Hello?” ssskkrrss... “Is ...his thi...g on?” ssskkrrss...
“Wait sir! We’re getting something from the aircraft.”
   “Make it out, soldier!”
“I’m trying sir, it’s gargled...” We all wait and watch the plane approach closer and closer to the castle. We could almost feel it on the ground now.
“Sir! Sir!” I hear coming out from the speaker.
“What is it? Who is it?”
   “It’s DrP! He’s returned!”
“Are you sure?” he asks, as we all wipe the sweat from our faces.
   “Yes sir! His code matches.”
“Alright. Good. Everyone, let’s head to the landing strip.” We all begin walking over to the landing zone. It’s been forever since I’ve seen DrP, hopefully his mission was successful...

Noises... I could hear them again... Blackness... Fading... I rub my temples, open my eyes slowly, then look up to see that I’m laying in front of a large cavern. Soon later, two familiar people walk up to me... Oh yeah, it was those guys again. He reaches his hand out to me. I look at him like he’s crazy, and smack his hand out of the way. I get up on to my feet, feeling still a bit dizzy.
“Why did you bring me here?” I ask.
“Do you remember this place?” he says back.
“Remember? Uh...” I start thinking about what this place could possibly be... Then it hits me, I DO remember this place.
   “Yes, I think I do,” I reply.
“Then you know what’s in this cavern, do you not?”
“Um, I think so,” my mind was still clouded from all the dizziness.
“Maybe if you didn’t spray me I would remember.”
“My apologies sir. Pre-cautionary acts had to be used, just in case you gave away our position.”
“Who in the heck are you guys, some kind of secret undercover spy organization? Wait a minute... S... U... S... So that’s what it stands for!”
   “Sir. Back to the question.”
“Oh ya...” I begin pondering again. I then realize where exactly I’m standing.
“I got it! This is where the legendary Articuno lives!”
“But not just any ordinary Articuno,” he responds.
“Uh, what do you mean? A legendary is a legendary.”
“You know him. Knew him, to be exact. Don’t you remember? Come take a look over here.” I slowly walk over to where the guy leads me. I then could see some familiar ruins that brought back some bad memories.
“This... This is the place where I lost one of my teammates... We were in battle, when a Bob-omb brigade swarmed us. One hit right next to him, making him fall into these ruins. It collapsed, sealing him... Sealing him in...” I try to wipe my mind of the flashbacks.
“And his name?” he says to me. I go deep into my thoughts, break through the dark clouds of the horrific flashbacks, and finally find the answer that he was looking for.
   “Winter.”

We all poke our heads up over the bush. Over on the other side of the hill, we could see a few small tents along with a fire pit.
“This is our first place to attack. A recon base. This is the only thing in-between us and Bowser’s castle,” the general says.
“Why don’t we just go around?” Ragster asks.
“There are more of these bases surrounding the castle. This is the weakest and smallest of them all, this should be our best chance.”
“Yeah, well, what do we do when we get there? We don’t have an army,” I say back.
“We will make a path for the army to cross unnoticed, then we will have a surprise attack.”
“How do you want us to go in?” Fingerz asks.
   “Easy. Be quite and swift.”
“Hah! This will be easy! I’m the most quite one her!”
“Shut up,” I say, pulling him down below the shrubs, “they’ll hear us!”
   “Oops. Sorry,” he says back.
“Take them out one by one. We’ll split up in groups. I’ll go with Yoshitaka and Yoshilan. Ragster, Fingerz and Yoshikar will head in from the back. Greg, Jerry and Yoshihuso will get the ones on the right side of the third tent. Got it?” We all nod, then split up into groups.
I begin walking over to the bush where the general directed us to, Jerry and Yoshihaso or whatever his name was following behind. I could see the two koopas standing guard next to the tent. We all look at each other and nod. We move in to position, ready to knock them out cold. I take my first few steps behind the troopers, Jerry and Yoshihaso getting the other two. Jerry holds out three fingers... Two fingers... One finger... Bam! We all knock the koopas out with one strike. We could see the other teams successfully take out there koopas also. After all the koopas were down, we gather up in the middle.
“Good. I’ll call in the army now. It shouldn’t be long until we have won this war.” He grabs his headphone and puts it on.
“This is the general. Call in the army on my position.” I stood there and waited, but heard no response.
“Repeat. Over. This is the general speaking. The path is clear, bring in the army.” Again, I heard nothing but silence. I was becoming anxious. If they were going to attack, they had better do it now.
“Can you read me? Troops! Respond!”
“Did something happen to the army?” Jerry asks.
“Oh... Oh no...” the general says, taking off his headphone.
“What? What is it?” I ask.
“In the background... Our security system was going off... Code red...”
   “What’s code red?” Ragster asks.
“It means... evacuate the castle. Immediately.”

Thanks Fingerz! Man, I'm not getting anywhere. I don't know whats coming on with me, I just can't think of anything right now. Well, it may be dragged out, but here's chapter 9:

PART III

---Chapter 9---

“So you were successful?” I say, barely even remembering DrP. It’s been almost a month now, after Bowser sent him off on his long journey, I thought that I’d never see him again.
“Everything went accordingly as planned. The Bob-omb was detonated below the castle, damaging every single part of it,” he replies.
“Bwa ha ha! Excellent work, DrP. This war will be over sooner than I thought,” Bowser says afterwords.
“Alright guys, meeting in two hours in the castle courtyard. Don’t forget!”
“We won’t sir!” I say, as Bowser walks away.
“It’s nice to see you came back with your skin intact,” Ray asks DrP.
“What did you expect, I’m the great DrP!” What great modesty he has, I think.

“So, what’s Winter have to do with Articuno?” I ask.
“Are you aware of the Unown?” the man says in response.
“Well, no, if it’s unknown, then I wouldn’t.”
“No, not that unknown. The Pokemon.”
“Oh, yes, I know a little about them.”
“Do you know that these Pokemon can transform living beings into something else?” he asks.
“Wait, what does this have to do with anything?”
“You’ll find out soon enough,” he says, walking into the cave. I quickly follow behind him to figure out what all this nonsense he’s been talking about truly means.
“Here it is,” he says, stopping in front of a giant door with markings written all on it.
“This is the door that leads to Articuno. Are you ready to see him again?”
“Again? I’ve never seen him before.”
“That’s what you think,” he says, reaching into his pocket. He pulls out a rock that appeared to be made out of solid ice. He puts it into the door, and it begins to open. The ground shook as the giant rock begin moving out of the way. I could see in the wide open room a small, bright, light-blue glow flashing in the distance. I could see it coming closer and closer, resembling more and more like a bird after every second. Once it had gotten close enough to us, it steadily landed on the ground.
“Who dares disturb my slumber?” I jump back in both shock and fear, thinking that my ears had just deceived me. But they didn’t, Articuno talked.
“It is us, the Secret Undercover Spy Organization.”
“The who what now?” Articuno responds, tilting it’s head.
   “Suso, remember?”
“Oh yeah, you guys again. What do you want?”
“We brought a guest,” he says, pointing at me. Articuno moves his eyes onto mine.
“Ah, Dudeman, so you have come to see me? I thought that you forgot about me.”
“W-What in the world? H-How do you know my name?” I say, feeling my teeth shake.
“It’s me, Winter! Remember, I was your squad leader with those other three guys.” My brain nearly stopped working when I heard him say that.
“But how, uh, you were, I didn’t, er, I thought you were-”
“Dead? Hah! I’m alive and well actually,” he says, finishing the sentence that I was trying to get to.
“You see, when I was trapped in the ruins, I didn’t know what to do. I tried digging my way out, but it kept collapsing whenever I got so far. So, I just headed down the tunnels to see what was down there. When I reached the bottom, I found a giant, chasm, of some sort. But in the middle, was a ball of mysterious figures. Each were shaped like different letters.”
   “Unown,” I respond.
“Yes, they were the Unown. When they saw me. they quickly swarmed. I could feel my feet being lifted up from the air, then... Then this happened. I was instantly transformed into an Articuno. After a few months of being an Articuno, the Unown politely asked if I wanted to change back.”
“You can understand the Pokemon language?!” I say surprisingly.
“Well yes, I’m a Pokemon! Of course, I denied the offer.”
“What?” I say, “Why did you do that?”
“Because being an Articuno...” he says, looking up to the ceiling then back to me, “...is awesome.”

I drop to the ground and just stare at the pile of rubble that used to be the castle. How could of this had happened? Castles don’t just blow up. Someone had to be responsible for this.
“You understand now that we are your allies, not your enemies,” the tall man said. I could see Mario get up and grab him by the collar.
“How do we know that you weren’t responsible for this, huh?”
“Mario,” I say, him looking back at me. He puts the guy down then steps back.
“Well, I guess your welcome. You would have been in the same situation as your castle if me and my team weren’t around.”
“Just who are you?” Luigi asks.
“Well, you can call me Brolly, I am leader of the Secret Undercover Spy Organization.”
   “The who?”
“Just call us Suso, it’s easier that way.”
“How in the world did you know that this was the fate of the castle?” I ask Brolly.
“You see, we know everything. You may not even know it, but half of your people are a part of this society.”
“What? How come we weren’t informed?”
“Did you miss the first word in our title? We don’t wait for people to come to us. We come to them.”
“So, what happened to all of our troops?”
“Remember, I said half of your population is part of our team. If they played their role correctly, everyone made it out safely.” What a relief, I think.
“Do you know who did this?” I ask.
“We know for sure that it was one of Bowser’s minion.”
“Why that little... He’ll pay for that!” Luigi shouts, raising his fist to the sky.
“Wait, who’s side are you on, exactly?”
“We do not have sides to pick, we are a side.”
“So I’m guessing that you have some of Bowser’s men in your team as well.”
“Like I said, we do not pick sides, we are one group formed for all people, koopa and toad alike.” We all stand there and think for a while.
“Well... I guess I can say thanks, for saving our lives,” Mario says.
“Are you gonna catch the minion of Bowser that did this?” Luigi asks.
“We do not interfere with business that we mustn't handle. You are the one to counter-attack Bowser. We are just the middlemen. Alright boys, let’s get out of here,” he says, turning his back on us.
“But wait! What are we supposed to do?” I ask.
“That is not my fate to decide. Figure it out on your own,” he says, throwing down a small ball onto the ground. Smoke rose that covered up all of them. Once it cleared, they were all gone. We all look at each other, not knowing what to do now.
“What’s the plan, princess?” Luigi says.
“We head back and do a head count. That is priority number one.” We all move down the hill and head towards the castle, the sun lowering and the sky turning dark.

The story really goes in a nice direction (even though you say nothing is happening, except for some thing, like that a castle exploded, the mystery of how legendary Pokemon is created gets solved etc).
I also got a hunch on how my character will evolve in the story, Dude's story also became interesting here

Keep 'em coming!

Whoa! Two more, alright! xD It'll be hard fitting in all of these people, I may extend the size of how long each chapter is.

Does anybody want to take over as writer of the Epics of Nintendo? After school started, English class has had me writing like a story every week and reading a book every day. I have no time what so ever to write, and I don't really enjoy writing as much after I started English, sorry to say. If anybody really loves this story and loves to write, be my guest to start writing for it. I'll PM you what I had in plan as far as the story line goes. I really wanted to include Spit and Clanker, so I'd love to see someone finish this story.

Sad to hear :'(

So we got 3 possible ways right now:
1) Someone takes over (and that "someone" ain't me)
2) You continue on this in the future or just when you feel like it
3) You convince your teacher that you write this story instead of the on in school instead :P

Great story anyhow, and it would be really fun to see the ending

We'll see how the rest of this year pans out. If I have no holiday homework, you haven't started up again or someone else hasn't take over, I'll do it. I'm in desperate need of writing, actually. I've been reading but not practicing my writing skills. XD
