I've been making some orchestral arrangements lately and was thinking about proofreading. Who will proofread my music? I thought to the members of our site. So I would like to make an inventory of who plays what instrument on this website. The inventory will be located in this post, so reply to this post with the instrument(s) you play. If your instrument is not on the list, but not obscure, then include it as well.

...yeah, that's about it.
I play everything.

Like with great skill? If someone asked you the typical intonation problems with each instrument, such as the Alto Sax being sharp in the upper register, could you give an accurate answer to all the questions?
Nah. But sign me up for Piano, Acoustic/Electric Guitar, Electric Bass, Harmonica, Percussion, Trumpet.. Whatnot...
Actually I'm not the one to ask about the Trumpet. Nevermind that.
Wow, how could I forget trumpet? Lol, It's litteraly sitting on my desk next to me!
And sign me up for Bass Trombone and Piano-the others were just for if you wanted to know.
Get rid of all that size script XP

Yeah, I don't know how that happened. Purely incidental.
I play French Horn :D
Instrument: (years of experience)
Violin: (oh god...11?)
Piano: (6-ish?)
Baritone Horn (same as euphonium rite?)
I sing too :0
Church Organ (3 years)
Piano and Vocals. :p
Just piano, I'm in my...seventh year. :P I really want to learn a string instrument but there's no money for that right now.
Mallet Percussion
FRONT ENSEMBLE FTW!!!!
Piano, seven years.
I play flute, tenor sax, percussion, and I sing. The only one I don't practice regularly anymore is percussion, and the last I played it in an ensemble (other than marching band) was in an all-region band two years go
The science show! Piano! :D
Piano and Vocals, though the entire orchestra is my main area.
Oh I sing too ^.^

I only play piano. I think it's my thirteenth year.
Piano: 13 years
Clarinet: 8 years
Baritone Saxophone: 3 years
I'm nearly 17 years old. :P

This is me right now. Lulz
I'm so boring. I'm a percussionist who specializes in mallet percussion. I started learning flute like this month, but I'm pretty sure that doesn't count since I don't actually know how to play well.
Percussionists aren't boring! :O
It seems so boring to me in comparison to other things. But that's most likely because percussion was like my fourth choice, so...
Percussion's definitely not boring if you can really feel it. The way it's taught in lessons, or the way people are often forced to play it, is torture. I stopped with that nonsense after a few months of tedious drumming with the percussion group when I realized it was never going to get any different.
Main instrument: Piano
Decent or good with: Guitar, recorder, ocarina (mountain, single (and I guess I can count "lergök" as an ocarina too. It's an Swedish instrument that looks like a wooden bird, but is in clay, meh, I put it under the next section)), ukulele, mallet-instruments, organs, drums and random percussion
Got experience with (can play some easy stuff, but not more than that): Harmonica, accordion, panflute, lergök, spilåpipa (another native Swedish instrument, kinda like a flute)
I'm pretty much at the hot cross buns level for Harmonica and Recorder. XD

I play the piano and the flute.

Secondary: Cello
I can for sure help out with cello, i've been playing for quite a while. As long as it's not like professional type level than I'm fine!
my major instrument is violin
and i also play piano :>
i recored myself play the piano more on my youtube channel coz it's easier to find music for piano and u cant see my face :P
I really want to learn how to play the ocarina, but... does anyone know whether or not it's easy to pick up?
I'm busy enough catching up with the band on the F horn.

It really depends on the ocarina you want. Mountain Ocarinas are kinda simple, and are probably the most basic ones.
The "normal" one isn't too hard, kinda like a normal non-recorder flute.
And then we have Double and Triple ocarinas, which are way more advanced.
I could play "Brothers" from FMA almost directly after I got my mountain ocarina
Primary instrument: Flute
Secondary instrument: Piano
Other: Smule Ocarina :P
I'm saving up to get an ocarina ::)
EDIT: I just got the ocarina of time from STL Ocarina. It is awesome!!!:D
I'm saving up for an organ.
I have a piano, but I want more random instruments.
Including an ocarina, ukulele and harp. yeah I don't know I just want them

btw, try to ask someone who knows about what material to pick, it can be a little tricky with the materials.
Plastics actually sounds really nice and are the best option for beginners. Clay sounds more like a "real" ocarina, but can vary a lot between the same models, since a lot of them are handmade. They are also kinda quiet in the beginning (the clay ones), but the sound improves after treating it or playing with it.
You can probably find an Ocarina of Time in plastic, might be good to start with. Because if you give up playing, you still got an epic collectors item ;D
Hey, I play the violin. ;D
AND I PLAY THE FLUTE. AND PIANO.
Quote from: mspurge on April 27, 2012, 07:34:12 PMHey, I play the violin. ;D
YES. Another violin player. ;D
Also, I now play viola. And I have a friend who plays cello, lol does that count? :P
I' ve got a friend that plays the cello.

True that! :3
Primary: Piano, by far.
Secondary: Violin
Trinary: Guitar, Recorder flute
primary: piano
secondary: classical guitar
Primary: Trombone/Euphonium
Secondary: Piano
Tertiary: Ocarina (It's the only other instrument I own)
Ooh, and I still have my recorder too. *starts playing* ~screeech~. . . umm. . . nevermind.
You name it!
I play just about everything, but I'm strongest on the Saxophone (been playing it for five years or so):
Primary: Tenor Saxophone (5 years), Harmonica (1 year)
Secondary: Piano, Guitar, Drums, other types of Saxophones, other types of guitars (like bass, or ukulele), Recorder
Tertiary: Absolutely everything else (exept some brass)
Piano, guitar, harmonica, and trumpet.
Piano and vilion.

Language barrier. What does classical guitar mean? Acoustic guitar?
Kinda curious myself

I mean concert guitar. Hope that this has the same meaning like in German.
Here is an exsample: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMcsIrYHyEk (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMcsIrYHyEk)
Oh okay. I play guitar(all kinds, even ukulele), piano, keyboard that isn't same as piano :P , organs, sax, bass(guitar), drums, harp, violin, flute, harmonica, accordion, trombone, melodica.
I win.
It would not surprise me if you can not even play only five of the instruments very well. Because nobody has the time to practice all these instruments regularly. Every day, I practice one hour for guitar and one hour for piano. And at week end, I practice one and a half hour drums.
Yep, I only can play the guitar, piano, keyboard and organ like a pro. I just know the basics to those other instruments, it's kinda my hobby to learn them.
Well... I play clarinet; alto, tenor, and bari sax; bassoon; electric and acoustic guitar; electric bass guitar; piano; mallet percussion; drumset; tuba; baritone; trombone; and recorder.

That's the absolute awesomest collection of instruments I've seen!
Also, great to see another saxophonist - I don't think there were any other than me, before this :3
Jazz or classical?
I prefer classical songs, but I like to play those on clarinet. When I'm on saxophone, I usually play more jazz i.e. Cantina Band from Star Wars.

Acceptable. In my eyes you are now awesome :)
May I also ask, what kind of saxophone you consider your "main" - I play the Tenor, and the Tenor only. :)
Bari's definitely my main. I'm best at it, I can tune great on most every note, and it fits best in general.
Great! I'm not really a fan of the alto - too oboe-ish - the bari is amazing.
Though i must say, i prefer the tenor, bit that's just me :P in my opinion, that's the one with the greatest sound to it.
Bari sounds pretty awesome when it's played well, especially in the low register. Although, I must admit that the tenor has a pretty nice sound, too.
While I'm a little late here, I might as well...
-Piano
-Violin
-Vocals
Violin and vocals? I'm jealous. Actually, I'm jealous of any vocalist, bow player, and/or flute player. It frustrates me that I can't play those.
There's nothing to be jealous about. I mean, everyone does their own thing. Plus, if you want to be a vocalist, all you need is practice. But, like with anything else, don't practice without help. Practice doesn't make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect.
-Piano

:P
I've always wanted to learn Guitar, though.
I wanna learn to play tuba.
I went to a Pelbo concert, where this guy was head banging while playing the tuba. He never put the thing down, and he never stood still - even when he was playing the bass trumpet, the tuba was hanging from his shoulder - he was nuts! I thought it looked really cool.
I might have an offer from a friend of mine (that can't play the tuba) to buy his tuba, for 800 krones (which is almost nothing for a tuba) and trading him my broken bass guitar as well. I also has a friend that can play the tuba, so I might get him to teach me stuff :3
The current joke with my younger brother is that he'll learn the contrabass sax. :P

Is it that he already plays the saxophone in general, but now bought a contrabass sax, or is it that he's starting with sax now, and his first choice was the contrabass sax (cause that would be amazingly weird)?
I WANT A CONTRABASS SAX!!!!
I WANT A SOPRILLO! THat'd be neat! ;D
What's a soprillo?

Very small
Yeah, it's another name for the sopranissimo - tuned one octave above the sorano - which is just nuts :P
One of those'd be cool to have!
I'm not so sure how good that'll sound in your ears after a while!
Yet another pianist.
I also play a bit of acoustic guitar.
Not sure why I haven't posted here.
I'm a pianoholic. At least that's what my teacher's call me, because any time I see one at school, it better be under lock and key, because they can bet I'll be playing it.
Also, ocarina since this Christmas. And recorder? I guess? That's like saying you play a toy..... oh, but I can play it out my nose.
Quote from: TheZeldaPianist275 on December 29, 2012, 09:19:53 AMAnd recorder? I guess? That's like saying you play a toy..... oh, but I can play it out my nose.
I play the recorder.. :(
There are three people at my school who has recorder as their main instrument (which means you have to be really good), and I'm still better than all of them, even though I play sax :P I joined them at the school's ensemble christmas concert, since my ensemble (which is big band) didn't play anything, for some unknown reason. And I took the 1. recorder part, while they all had to play the uninteresting bass and chord parts. The others just couldn't manage to play it without slowing down the tempo, so I almost
had to take it :P It was just so wrong, haha.
Sorry, didn't mean to hurt anybody's feelings. That just seems like the elementary school required instrument. But if you're good at it... hey, better than me.
Recorder is super badass, TheZeldaPianist!!!

No worries.
The recorders I use are actually the ones I got in fourth grade :P So I'm kinda being bullied by the other recorder guys for that
Only piano. For now my focus is becoming good at it. Maybe sometime in the future I will try learning some other instrument but I'm busy with other things including school for the most part.
It's too bad this isn't getting updated...
i play percussion. primarily timpani and any and all mallet instrument, preferably marimba
