I talk about this show at school with a few friends and watch it with my family. Does anyone watch this show? It appears on ABC? It is a fantastic show, I believe, and decided to bring it to the forums!

Omg I was just about to come make a topic about this. My brother watched it last year, and he bought the first season, so we're watching it.
I just finished episode 17 "Hat Trick," I am really into this show. I was worried from the first few episodes after the pilot, but it's really hooking me.
The episodes "Skin Deep" and "Hat Trick" are undoubtedly the best of the bunch thus far in the series. I loved the backstories of Belle and the Hatter. However, I feel for every few good episodes there are filler episodes that aren't even the least bit entertaining (i.e., "Dreamy," which was particularly slow and didn't add anything to the series for me. The good episodes are good enough that they make up for the meh ones, though.
...I'm really wondering how loose ends like Belle and the underground mine are going to be explained though. I really hope that this series doesn't fail in its next season, because I feel like there's a lot of potential...hm.
It looks really horrible and everything they say one the previews is stuff that NO ONE would ever say cause it's so dramatic. Personally, I loved Desperate Housewives, but it's canceled now.

AHEM.
Lol moron... desperate housewives is so much more realistic. Also way to judge it without seeing it.
Well, I mean it isn't realistic either, but it seems way more realistic than this show. I guess the fantasy part of this show doesn't help the "realisticness".
Did he just say a fantasy show was unrealistic?

Not sure if you're making a rude comment to me or are making a caustic remark at Spyro. But if it's the former, I have seen Desperate Housewives. So overly dramatic, not even funny.
But I must say, I'm intrigued about Once Upon A Time. Is it a big mash up of fairytales, or is it mostly Alice In Wonderland based?
I was talking to spyro, but it's neither. It's actually mostly in modern-day world, which continues from episode to episode, with a bunch of flashbacks to the "fairytale" world or whatever, which are in weird timelines.
I watched this on Sunday. It was really interesting.
Finally! some feedback! haha.
SFK: It's more centered around Snow White? and her child (the main character)
Overall, I absolutely love the show! Sure, it isn't the BEST EVER. But it IS a television show, and they must've been given a good budget because some of the animations are actually not that bad for TV! And of course it is dramatic, but it's interesting to see how they tie together ALL these storybook characters into one town, etc, and the idea behind it is great. and hopefully, as Slow said, I hope the second season is just as thrilling. The last few episodes REALLY made the entire season, they were the best.
So if you don't know what the show is about, or HAVENT watched it, and like storybook characters, and fairy tales, etc, give it a try! You may be surprised to see how things turn out after watching a few episodes!
^Well I saw there was an episode titled "Hat Trick" so I automatically thought of the Mad Hatter. ;D
^There's a tie to Wonderland, but if you could just imagine a bunch of Disney movies and bedtime stories in the same world ruled by an evil queen, that's basically it. Of course they're in the real world, but I was just talking about the normal world for them.
I've watched basically all of them. It's a great show, but they just have so much drama between the main character and the main antagonist and between Snow White and Prince Charming that I just can't say I love it. It's also a teensy predictable, but it has a great plot.
I'm watching it again since now my dad is watching it as well. I'm watching them with him.
I want the soundtrack CD (http://www.amazon.com/Once-Upon-Time-Television-Soundtrack/dp/B007TX9ASY) so bad....
Oh, and in case anyone is interested, the first season (http://www.amazon.com/Once-Upon-Time-Complete-Season/dp/B0058YPL66/ref=pd_sim_m_1) just went down about $10 on Amazon. $25 isn't a bad price.
Anyone see the latest episode with captain hook? Rumpelstiltskin is an interesting character
Very interesting. Did you see the entire first season? All of the episodes are on ABC's website and netflix, I think. There's an episode called "Skin Deep" that's really good.

Only bits and pieces and the last two episodes.
Just watched the last episode (work prevents me from enjoying things at the normal scheduled time, thank God for DVR), I've followed this show from the beginning and really enjoy it, it's one of the few modern shows I actually look foward to.

Quantum Field Theory! Dvr is such a great invention.
It's fun trying to guess the characters and how they relate before it's revealed. Surprisingly I couldn't get Smee until the end.
Shit's getting serious.
Only the first season was on netflix so I'm watching Merlin to let the time go by????

Merlin got boring after the second Season.
Pennsylvania

Yeah I noticed that.
Isn't Pennsylvania where Henry's father lived (he got that postcard from Pinnochio at the beginning of season two)?

I don't know. I only started from episode 3 (Lady of the Lake)
The license prate has to be a hint or just a red herring.
Ah
Well so far I'm liking the first season better. This season's kind of all over the place. It's still really good but I prefer the first season so far.
Holy expletive what the hell was that episode
15 out of 10
Brb watching
it was excellent, but omg it's going so many different directions
I think that was the best episode of season 2 so far.
Quote from: Shadoninja on January 17, 2013, 06:42:00 PMI don't know. I only started from episode 3 (Lady of the Lake)
There's a Merlin episode of the exact same name.
AND SUDDENLY MERLIN DISAPPEARS FROM NETFLIX AND CAN'T BE WATCHED INSTANTLY ANYMORE. :(
*decides to continue watching Angel Beats and watch The Walking Dead*
I really loved season 1 of Once Upon A Time, I hope they put more on Netflix soon since I don't have cable?
I suppose the plate was just to show that somebody came from outside.
BUMP.
Anyone still watching this? Season 3 is incredible so far, best season yet in my opinion. Haven't seen the Wonderland spinoff beyond episode 1 though.
I still watch it and I have seen all of Wonderland. Yes, this is probably the best season of Once Upon a Time, though I've gotten too good at predicting the plot.
Doesn't make it any less enjoyable.
Wonderland takes quite a bit for it to get going, but it's held my interest enough to see it after the break. That said, Jafar is a great villain in this incarnation.
Yeah, the plot is pretty predictable in the first place. But I think that's sort of the point; it's really soap opera-like, you know, over the top dramatic and twisting all over the place. It's fun. I enjoy Rumple and Regina as antiheroes. I'm glad they're finally starting to give Regina some character beyond being plain evil a la season 1, or plain pathetic a la season 2.
Yeah, and the same could be said for alot of the main characters. Except for Rumple. He is easily one of the most engaging and entertaining characters I have seen in a long time in any medium.
I quite agree; he's fantastic.
I think my sister watches it.
My mom's been watching it faithfully for a while, and I've tried to follow along but I find myself being that annoying person that doesn't understand what's going on and asks like 20.6 trillion questions. It's still a pretty enjoyable show, though.
I can see it being an absolute nightmare if you didn't start from the beginning. Hell, it's hard to keep up if you miss an episode.

Spoiler
haha like the fact that peter pan is rumple's dad!
;)
Yeah but we all saw that coming though.
I did, then again I've gotten really good at predicting plot lines over the years.

I guess it doesn't help that I don't really "watch" it haha
