You can still do it offline. They didn't patch the whole game. Right before the end of the first section, hold B and A at the same time to turn in place, face backwards, and jump off into the water as far as you can going backwards as far as you can. You probably shouldn't do this on Time Trials until we get this thing resolved.

I think I have a different solution. We could have two separate sections for glitched courses. One for people using any form of respawn glitch, and one for people who raced the course without cheating. I'll add that to the poll, and use that method until I close the poll.
I didn't realize that the names were different for the different countries. I'll try to do my best. Most of them are pretty easy. Alpine Pass is Rock Rock Mountain, right? You can glide over a lot of the course near the start.
yeah, there's a lot of gliding in it (big/high pipes on the first glide)
I was surprised when I saw that so many stages got different names, normally there are just 1-2. They was way different too (like Koopa City/Neo Bowser City)
Lol, just beat your Daisy Hills by milliseconds. I don't spend much time at all in Time Trials, that's probably one reason you had so many. The only two courses that I really tried for good times on were [SNES] Rainbow Road, and Music Park. I own at those two now.

Half of those are some of my favorites. I love Music Park and Neo Bowser City. (Amurica!) The drifting in NBC (lol, just noticed that) is so fun.
I really don't get why they have different names for the European and American games... :S
Well...hmm it is weird. Galleon isn't a very common American word. And in Japan, Bowser is known as Koopa, so maybe for the Autralian localizations, they thought "Koopa City" was referring to the character Koopa Troopa rather than Bowser.
American versions are Wario's Shipyard, and Neo Bowser City.
Well, here's mine so far! I went home last night and started doing the Shell and Mushroom Time Trials again to see if I could get faster, and I kept beating my records!! :P

I'm at my best playing MK7 at the moment. I did that time with a
slow kart, like most of my trials. Just imagine what I'll get when I do it again with a
fast kart. :P

I hate how the Standard Kart looks super cool but has bad stats compared to the others...as well as the stupid gliders which don't look cool but up your stats a bit.
Right now my best glider is the bat thing. I don't remember it's name. What would be awesome is a game mode where you all used the same kart which could be either the standards or a random combination. That would really test each player against the others.
The standards for Metal Mario look so cool, but they stink.

How do the times work on this game? I see it says "best records" on Fingerz picture with a different person's name on it. I doubt that's worldwide. Did you guys make a group or something...?
It does that when you race against another person's ghost. It puts your time and their time up there. I don't know why they chose to put "Best Records."
Okay, because Fingerz now has all of the time trial records I have changed the name of the thread accordingly. Does anybody else care to create a new one that is hidden from Fingers? ;)

That's alright! I was thinking that you could always have 1st, 2nd and 3rd places for Time Trials. It gives people more of an in-between stage to aim for before the top. :)
Maybe, but that's a lot of stuff to look through for both me and the people trying to beat records. Maybe when we get more people to participate. . . Maybe just add a fastest lap section. It would have to be in a regular time trial, though. That means that people wouldn't be able to use three mushrooms on one lap unless their best time used that lap.

Yes, that's when I don't have anyone faster than me. I just copy what people better than me do, but better. :D
It still takes skill to do some of those. On Toad Circuit, for example, it's really hard to zoom through the two pipes closest to the finish line while still trying to hug the wall for the rest of it. It really, I think, just takes practice and a good combination for the map you're on.

I find the online-mode in MK7 to be worse than in Brawl for example. Whenever it fails, you get to wait for 1-2 minutes just for it to reset >.<

Overpowered. You hear it a lot in FPSs when people think the gun somebody is using is cheap. You could also say legendary pokemon are overpowered which is why they aren't allowed in certain battles.

Hahahaha! I did the course with and without glitches and I've written down my times so I don't forget. It's only natural to want to take over that record if you own most of the other records. ;)
As a method of protest (I hate steering with the analog stick, I preffered steering with the four-point butten (that's how translate translates it) like in the DS version) I decided to do time tirals without steering. Most of the courses are finishable, but as I fall a lot off the course, the times are quite bad (I remember finishing Rosalina's Iceplanet in +10 minutes). However, there is one course that does allow relatively fast times (I managed to beat time tirals of players who were steering) : Koopa Beach.

I'm damn well happy with that. There's one thing I realised I was doing wrong whilst doing this course; I haven't been using a heavyweight character for any of my times! I've been using DK which is only a medium-weight, so... I can get a hell of a lot faster on all of these courses using Metal Mario. I'm now working on cracking Daisy Circuit. Wish me luck. :P
