Title: [GCN] Pokemon Colosseum - Multiple Songs
Post by: Uraziel on August 24, 2012, 01:16:45 PM
"Cipher Admin Battle" -- Completed by Shadoninja (http://forum.ninsheetmusic.org/index.php?topic=4783.msg339331#msg339331)
Although I am new to the forums, I have been a frequent visitor to the site and one thing has always been nagging in the back of my mind: the lack of music from Pokemon Colosseum, which I personally believe is a huge injustice, due to it having one of the best soundtracks out of any Nintendo games. There are a few in particular I am most interested in seeing which will be linked to below; please notify me if you are interested and I will help you in any way I can.

I completely agree with you about the lack of Pokemon Colosseum music. I try to arrange some of them, but unfortunately I'm horrible at it  :P. I might try one of these after I finish the song I'm working on now. If you're looking for some songs, I have some on my submission page that haven't made it to the main site (if they ever do)

I'm not the best arranger which is why I came here, I can do simple things with 1-3 lines but nothing of this scale. I have never tried anything over 5 before, and this is probably 8+. Could you link me to the page, I may be able to help a little.

Oh sorry

If you can't tell, I've taken the easy songs :D. I'm also currently working on the Mt. Battle Rest Room theme, and I'm almost done that.

Cool, i love pretty much all the music from the beginning to the end of this game, all so perfectly suited for the situation. I have some other midis but the sheet music for them is really messed up so that would require some major editing, I just haven't gotten around to it yet., How do you upload midis that you have done to the site?

Also, as much as I love the cipher admin battle theme, I think it would be hard to arrange for piano since a lot of the parts are percussion

GreekGeek is your friend! (http://www.ninsheetm.us/smf/index.php?topic=1208.msg21138#msg21138)

Seeing his thread sitting there with no sheets getting submitted was what inspired me to start the "Abandoned Arrangements" project.

Also, could I suggest adding Nascour's battle music to the request list?

Its really for all of them, I was just mentioning my favorites, but yes definitely. I am about 90% complete with the relic shrine. How would I upload that to here?

Do you only have the midi or the mus too? A mus file is required to submit sheet music on this site. Add the midi/mus to a site like www.mediafire.com or download dropbox, then post the link here.

Then you can make your own topic in "Submissions" that says "Uraziel's arrangements." Post the title of the song with those links for people to view. We'll work on submissions later-- they're not open right now.

Use the earth-looking button above the smileys to use hyperlink.

Create an account on www.mediafire.com or better yet, download Dropbox (www.dropbox.com). Put the file in the program you choose. I use dropbox, and it also gives you a brief (and i mean brief) tutorial on how to use it

Oops. Do what Bubbles said first. I take knowing about file-sharing for granted sometimes ::)

Good luck xD, that one seems like its going to be one of the more difficult, but the hardest will be the final battle. Wes hould wait to do the credits last since its just a medely of alot of the other music. Is there a common place we can put all of the links for now, no point in making 2 people do the same thing... I will do the mt. battle theme unless there are any takers for it?

Sure go ahead, but challenge yourself and make it piano. Im trying to think of another some to do, any suggestions? And what do you mean by a place to put all the links?

Basically I am saying to post them in one common area in addition where we could set up a checklist sort of to make it easier for all the people involved... I have spent a good 20 minutes on this and so far all i have come up with is that the tempo is at 92 and that it is in 2/4, that rythym is so simple yet so weird... its like its shifting by a 32 note every time... Why does it have to be on piano?

I could make a checklist in my submission thread, or we could just create a whole new one altogether, but Im not sure what category that would fit under. Maybe off topic? idk. And it doesnt have to be piano, its just that Im not sure if theres even any orchestra/multiple instrument arrangements on the site

That could work, it doesn't matter where it is, I will leave that up to you  :P i can do piano but personally i am a violist so its easier for me to write for orchestra, and it makes sense in this instance because most of the tracks use strings anyways. I will post links to all the pieces sometime tomorrow in whatever thread you make the list in, good night

Any chance we could get this as a Finale 2011 file? I don't have the money for Finale 2012, and don't want to be limited to Notepad.

If it's not possible, I'll make do with the midi and the PDF.

On second thought, I think I'll be fine with the midi and PDF. Great arrangement, I love this song. It's probably my favorite from Pokemon Colosseum.

They dont allow you to upgrade to the latest version after purchasing the older one?

If all you need to do is see and listen, then I don't see a problem with using notepad.
