I think he meant if we were to exchange "internet gifts" (free stuff we can make) or actual, tangible things.

People would pm their adresses to one member, and that member would use random.org to assign people thier secret santas.
They would then get the adress for their person, and proceed to make or buy them a gift.

Yeah I don't quite want to give anyone my address, just because my parents might find it weird. I'm all for the idea of a secret Santa though, like the secret valentines thing....just as long as it's not actual presents sent in the mail.
Yeah...no. Cool idea, but sending out your address on the internet quite often makes bad things happen.

We could do presents in another way. We could arrange or even write a song for the other person, or draw a picture, or send them a soundtrack, or really anything.

A ton of comments:
The secret Valentine style would be okay here...physical presents cost postage and the price of the actual item. This might not be so bad but then it would be unfair for someone in...let's say Europe...to send like 15 parcels overseas, while everyone else sends only 1.
Crafting something (or drawing ecards) is a good idea if people are good at making things haha. As long as we don't make it a contest it should be okay. ::)
For those that don't want to share addresses, don't. Although the only other option to send gifts would be a gift card delivered through email or get another address to receive mail. Gahh I haven't worked out the details yet XD

In secret santa, you just send one gift to one person and receive one gift from one person. So if you get a small gift not very expensive gift, postage wouldn't be very much(especially with USPS, the superior postal service).
This seems pretty feasible, even a small package being sent from Europe to the U.S./Australia?Canada and every other which way wouldn't be too much.And since you would be voluntarily signing up, if you lack monies you don't have to participate if you can't/don't want to.
