So the long-awaited fifth entry in the Ace Attorney series is finally being released tonight at midnight! I'll be one of the midnight downloads of course. I can't wait to play this game.

I'm curious as to the results of the poll, so please answer! Also, for those that are playing Dual Destinies, kindly put game discussion, especially story-related discussion, in spoiler tags.

So hyped for this game. Gonna speed run it without even reading the text.

As for the poll, I'm not sure if there would even be a price drop since it's already supposed to be at a reduced price.

I'm about 3/4 of the way through episode 1 and this game is fantastic. I can already tell I'll like it a lot better than Apollo Justice.

I don't think beating Apollo Justice is hard. x)
And I can't wait, I'm gonna play the hell out of this game this week. The demo was amazing, can't wait to see the full version! I really wish we'd gotten a physical release/a sweet collector edition like they got in Japan though.

Update: the second episode took me nearly eight hours of gameplay to complete! :O I'm loving how long this game is.

Also, Blackquill is a really good character. I hope he has some Tragic Backstory or something like Athena obviously does.

Finally finished the game. Took 21 hours in total which was really nice although I never thought that earlier games were short. It was a good game, not the best but not the worst AA. Characters were as gold as always, nice balance with old and new stuff and it felt a lot like good old AA but the biggest problem for me is the last case which was the weakest last case ever. It's supposed to be the highlight of the game but this time it left me cold.

Spoiler
It was wonderful to see Edgeworth back in prosecutor's bench and I liked the way how Athena's and Blackquill's pasts finally cleared up but this was the third time when Phoenix's close one was in danger during the last case. I don't really mind that repetitiveness but this time there was like no suspense at all. At some point I totally forgot that there was Trucy's life at stake and it felt like Phoenix forgot that too lol. The last court session seemed like a mess too. It's revealed that Fulbright isn't the real Fulbright but someone who killed the real Fulbright and started to impersonate him. Then after all those other masks he is proven to be just a nobody. Then suddenly a sniper happens and he doesn't even die when he's shot. And no one seemed to care about that a tiny bit. A mess. Stuff like that feels kinda lame when compared to JFA's or T&T's last cases.

Now it sounds like I hated that case but those things just slightly annoyed me while playing the game. Slight annoyance is still a big annoyance when playing a new AA game for the first time in years.

Spoiler
I thought Fulbright's deal was very well done, it could have come off as being cheesy but I thought the reveal was handled well, and the Phantom character was a bit more well done than the Shelly de Killer of 2-4 in my opinion. I agree that Trucy being held hostage was really unnecessary, because they hardly ever mentioned it and no one ever had a real sense of urgency about it. I was just impressed that after five games, the series finally managed to really shock me with the reveal of Fulbright being the murderer. I thought it was a good final case, but I can understand your opinion now. My friend had an issue with how similar Athena's backstory was to Edgeworth's DL-6 Incident outlined in 1-4.

I think that I took so long to beat the game because I always press every statement--I really like to get the extra bits of dialogue, they're usually entertaining xD

Also Yuri Cosmos for most hilarious character y/n

Oh, just a reminder that the DLC case, "Turnabout Reclaimed," will be available tomorrow for I think $5.99. It's Phoenix's first case after getting back his attorney's badge, and it takes place between 5-2 and 5-3. I really hope Apollo isn't gypped in this case :(
