Title: Finale on Mac...
Post by: InsigTurtle on November 16, 2014, 02:23:20 AM
So, Mac OS X Yosemite doesn't like Finale products. Finale 2014 is really buggy and Finale 2012 and lower just crash after making new files and playing back.
Is there anything I can do, apart from downgrading the OS or getting a different computer?
(If you're wondering why I have a Mac, it's because I'm seemingly incapable of making my own decisions)

Dual boot? It's not that hard to download windows and do the illegal workaround.

Did you recently upgrade an older computer to Yosemite? Because it might be the computer itself, rather than just the OS; Macs tend to handle reeeeally badly when upgrading to a newer OS. (Not that this information would help you much, if it were the case, but it may be the cause)

According to Finale, it's a problem with the operating system being incompatible. They recommend upgrading to 2014, but that one is still slightly glitchy on this OS... glitchy enough to make inputting annoying.
