Welcome, and Good Job  ;)

You could condense it to a solo piece though
I added 8va for you: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/40203091/Scorch%20%27n%20Torch8va.mus

I'll try doing a solo piece, after I finish my 2nd arrangement! Also, sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, but is there any way to copy a bar on one piece to the other, or the next page?

Yep. Ctrl+c and Ctrl+v after highlighting it with the select tool.

Derp, and another question! Is there any way to have two different melodies on 1 hand?
(e.g. ______________

       _O____________
       _______________
       _♩____♩____♩___♩__

Yes, it's called layers ( I think.) if you're using finale there are little numbers from 1-4 on the bottom left of the screen. Click on #2 and you can insert a 2nd layer. I'd only recommend this if you can play both of them (the melodies) without going out of your hand's reach. You can use the pedal if this does occur or you can just leave the melody out.

Just as you answer my question, I already found my answer on another thread! Well, only a few more bars 'til my 2nd piece is finished!

Sorry mods, I have so much to learn about Finale Notepad! Is there a way to add one hand MF and the other PP without the playback being both PP?

And can someone critique my arrangement?

It's a little worse. The LH is incomplete throughout the entire piece, and the last 4 measures are just bad.
Use this:

And, to post hyperlinks as words, just do this, but replace the ( )s with [ ]

For audio stretch, I did use it but I'm a bit too impatient, so I rushed it.

And for hyperlink, I think I messed it up the first time, but I've got it now.

Andddddd for the last four bars, I forgot to put the top notes a space downwards  :P

This is the worst thing to do. Please, take your time and double check the entire piece when you finish it. It will save NSM a lot of work and you will have a much better reputation.

It's pretty good! (The PDF only has one page...?)

-All of your volta systems only save two measures - in this case, I think it'd be better to write them out, since voltas break page-reading continuity, and it's not worth doing so to save a few measures.
-If you do that, you can move the To Coda marking further down.
-Key changes that coincide with a new section of the piece (and it sounds like they all do) should be preceded by double barlines.
-I'm not an experienced pianist, but some of those intervals look impossible (Measure 10, for example). If notes are to be played with the left hand (Measure 38) you should indicate that with double stems and a l.h. indication (the C's in the RH staff should have their own stems, pointing down)
-Never use an 8va alta where you can use a clef change, as in 40 (I'd put it at 37, and go back to bass clef at 45)
-Be careful where you hide your rests. Generally, it's a good idea to keep rests that fill in the beats where the notes don't. Also, when you hide a rest, the notes in that beat should revert to standard stemming (38). Or omit them if they're not contextually meaningful.
-Instead of using a series of tenutos, consider using slurs instead.

I'm a bit confused about the first two :/

When you use 1st- and 2nd-time endings, you're using a volta system. Here's a diagram:

Players don't like jumping unexpectedly, so only do it when you can reuse a significant part of the music.

You'll notice that if you remove these short volta systems in your sheet, you can move the "To Coda" marking further down and get rid of a few measures at the beginning of the Coda section.

Title: Re: AwesomeYears Arrangements! Pokémon R/B Title Screen... for a Baritone Duet?
Post by: AwesomeYears on May 28, 2015, 02:58:34 AM
So my Concert Band at school is going to a Primary School and we have to teach them about all the instruments that we play. While we're there, each instrument section has to perform a short 8-16 bar song (any song you like, movies, video games, music etc.) for them. So I went ahead and arranged the Pokémon R/B Title Screen for our Baritone Section, mind that there are two of us...

As a baritone player, I would recommend two things: 1. change the concert key to a flat key (F would be the closest  and easiest to read) and 2. Baritone T.C. and Baritone B.C. are not typically like a first and second part. They are two different ways to read the same part so trumpet players can easily switch to baritone if needed. Keep some T.C. parts printed but change both lines to bass clef

I sexually identify as an Superfood Kalecopter. Ever since I was a seedling I dreamed of growing over the farmlands serving healthy leafy servings on disgusting carnivores. People say to me that a person being a kalecopter is impossible and I'm fucking not a superfood but I don't care, I'm beautiful. I'm having a food company blend me with blender blades, grinded with a grinder and serve me as a smoothie with my body. From now on I want you guys to call me "Fujikale" and respect my right to kill thrist from above and kill thrist needlessly. If you can't accept me you're a kalephobe and need to check your vegetable privilege. Thank you for being so understanding.
