Title: Altissimo's Hamtaro Arrangements (New 12/15 - S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky thing)
Post by: Altissimo on June 30, 2015, 06:02:06 PM
*NEW* Arrangements:

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky: Bandit Radio
MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/qeztrzci6pqktgs/Bandit%20Radio.mus?dl=0) / MID (https://www.dropbox.com/s/dbb4uz9490ci5uf/Bandit%20Radio.mid?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/f0156xwol6vlp26/Bandit%20Radio.pdf?dl=0) / Original (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_podzD4cSA)

Currently working on:
Kirby's Epic Yarn - Snowy Fields, Rainbow Falls
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Jake Marshall's Theme
Kirby: Squeak Squad – Stage Music 5

This is my thread for my arrangements. A lot of them so far are arrangements from the Hamtaro series of video games. The entire Ham-Hams Unite soundtrack, for instance, can be found below.

All sheets on site will have their links point directly to the NSM download links of the accordant arrangement.

Note: In the (unlikely) event that I ever vanish from the site without an explanation from myself or Dude (who I would likely text if I didn't want to post on NSM), I would like all my arrangements here that are not already on site to go up on site. Some of them may not be fit for the site yet in the current state, in which case, whatever adjustments need to be made are okay to make.
And if this happens, please take up the task of arranging the rest of the Hamtaro soundtracks in my stead. After all, that's my one and only goal here, and if I can't complete it I want my legacy to remain in the form of people doing it in my stead. :p

I can definitely see a theme going on here! Most people here on NSM have their pet franchise, so you fit right in. Unfortunately, I never really got into the Hamtoro boat :/  (but I'm at least aware of what it is!)

It's great seeing you are both competent in both music theory and piano technique. That makes my job a lot easier (if you ever submit these to the site). Remember to spell your rhythms correctly though -- in "Sunny Peak", the accompaniment features a 3+3+2 rhythm that should be notated as dotted quarter, eighth-tied-quarter, quarter. The reason for this is to show beat 3 clearly in order to account for the syncopated rhythms.

Great thread!

Hey, thanks for the kind words!

Quote from: Bespinben on June 30, 2015, 06:43:28 PMI can definitely see a theme going on here! Most people here on NSM have their pet franchise, so you fit right in. Unfortunately, I never really got into the Hamtoro boat :/  (but I'm at least aware of what it is!)

It's funny because Hamtaro isn't my favorite franchise, even - that honor goes to Pokémon (especially Mystery Dungeon) and Kirby. But there's unfortunately a lack of stuff related to the Hamtaro video games on the internet - Let's Plays on Youtube are the most common thing, and then there's a few OST videos. Certainly no sheet music. So when one day I had the sudden urge to learn the Hamour theme, I was sadly disappointed to see that nobody had touched the game musically apart from a couple remixes of Spat's theme, so I set out to create my own music... and on-and-off inspirations since then have led to the rest of the sheets I've posted.

QuoteIt's great seeing you are both competent in both music theory and piano technique. That makes my job a lot easier (if you ever submit these to the site).

I'm a music major planning to go to grad school for music theory, and my primary instruments are piano and trumpet, so I would hope I've learned something from the past three years of school :p

QuoteRemember to spell your rhythms correctly though -- in "Sunny Peak", the accompaniment features a 3+3+2 rhythm that should be notated as dotted quarter, eighth-tied-quarter, quarter. The reason for this is to show beat 3 clearly in order to account for the syncopated rhythms.

I'm pretty sure you meant the Ham-Hams Unite Credits Theme/"Ham-Hams", not Sunny Peak, since Sunny Peak's accompaniment is a pretty standard 6/8 quarter-eighth thing. But you're completely correct that a 3+3+2 pattern should be written as dotted quarter, eighth-tied-quarter, quarter, and I'd somehow missed it. Good catch!

mariolegofan: I suppose if I keep up this trend (which is very likely, since as I've said there's just no sheet music for the Hamtaro games anywhere) then I can get added to that list at some point, heh. It probably also helps that the music from Hamtaro is just ingrained in my head at this point since those games were my childhood games and I've played-and-replayed them more times than I care to count.

Quote from: Altissimo on June 30, 2015, 07:13:36 PMIt's funny because Hamtaro isn't my favorite franchise, even - that honor goes to Pokémon (especially Mystery Dungeon) and Kirby.
You are officially my new favorite person.

(If you couldn't tell, my pet franchise just happens to also be:)

Latios212: Thanks! Hamtaro games were the first video games I ever owned so they have a very special place in my heart. (It helps that they're actually really solid games despite being, y'know, Hamtaro games lol)

Bespinben: I'm the one who left the comment on your Youtube video for the Friend Area - Swamp theme asking if it was G# minor or C# Dorian lmao I love Mystery Dungeon and its music. (I started my own arrangement of Spacial Rift before realizing you had a completed one actually)

Y-Y-You're Genericusernamething!? *Instant sub*

(Hopefully my reply made sense? ^.^")
Spoiler
Just a standard G# minor key. The C# chord at the end constitutes the secondary dominant of the relative major key of B. The expected progression for this would be C# > F# > G#m (that is, going from the dominant of the dominant to the primary dominant, and then that to the submediant because of the minor [aeolian] mode). However, that bridge is skipped in the repeat, resulting in that nonfunctional cadence (C# > G#m), which works very well for endlessly looping video game music like this.

And by all means, feel free to finish that PMD2 Spacial Rifts arrangement. I have very little confidence in my 2011-2012 era arrangements.

Wow I was not expecting you to actually remember that comment lmao I am amused and flattered

It took a few reads, but your reply made sense, yes. I suppose the fact that it lacks the leading tone that makes the tonic in other modes so recognizable is what confused me - I couldn't actually tell if G# was supposed to function as a dominant or a tonic, and the C# major chord at the end certainly didn't make that any clearer. (Also medieval music liked the Dorian mode and so it was plausible in my mind that it had been written with that in mind.)

I've never actually finished an MD2 arrangement before (because most of the time I'd just puzzle out some single melody lines for the sake of playing them on the trumpet). MD2 music is a little more involved than the Hamtaro stuff I'm used to... but I'll see if I can't get anything done with Spacial Rift.

Hey, welcome to NSM! It's always great to have new arrangers around here. :D

Wow, nice stuff you got there! Ham-Ham Heartbreak was one of my favorite games ever when I was a kid, I replayed it sooo many times! So I really appreciate these arrangements xD

I did Spat's Theme myself too long ago, but mine lacks the intro (couldn't find it anywhere back then). I've been also thinking in doing "Hamour", such a beautiful song! You did a great job with it, as well as with Sunny Peak. However, I'd gladly correct formatting issues and everything for you myself if you'd like, these songs defeinitely deserve it!

Oh yeah, and just seen your post about the SM64 credits theme, but don't worry too much about the one on site, it needs a replacement anyway, so I humbly recommend you to try my version instead. :)

Great job, keep it up! (your avatar is very cute btw xD)

Hey, thanks for the nice words! (My avatar is a drawing of me a friend on another forum did as part of a comic she was writing about forum users, btw :p)

I don't actually mind doing all the formatting for the sheets myself - though thank you very much for offering! - I just wanted to stick them here while I was in the process of cleaning them up so I could get some feedback and make the necessary edits at the same time as I was working on the formatting myself, since I imagine it'll save me a little bit of trouble when I get to the actual submission-and-feedback stage if I get some comments taken care of ahead of time. Though I may need your assistance anyway with stuff like measure numbers, since I have a feeling Notepad isn't going to be so kind about that, if what I've read from other users is any indication. :p I'll probably try to do most of the formatting myself over the next day or so, but I'll let you know if I need any assistance! Thank you!

Hamtaro: Ham-Hams Unite! - "I'm Your Ham" (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/k64zway3nrmh9k1/AAB1bjJ1t-bjX0k87e5Vp45za?dl=0)

It's a very nice avatar indeed! Well, back to business... Here's the fixed version of "I'm Your Ham". Yes, all yours! I'll write all the corrections I made below:

~Formatting issues~

- Updated the general formatting and layout, you will find it more appealing to the sight xD

- Fixed the url problem, now it shows correctly in both the mus and the pdf.

~Technical issues~ (Here comes ze real stuff)

- Well first of all, the dynamics. Actually all those fluctuations of the LH can be removed and changed by crescendos and decrescendos suiting the melody, no need to have mf, then p, then f, then mf again, it's madness! I also made a little tweak myself on m. 17 with a mp to add a little contrast, which is very grateful being all the song in a forte-ish level, also in the end and certain passages such as the end with a ff, for an epic ending!

- Second, articulations. You had this one pretty well done, but I added more articulations to enrich the sheet a lot more.

- The most "blatant" issue (well, it's nothing terrible or apocalyptic, I just mean to the ear) is the lack of the second layer, which I added, and moved the melody one octave higher to match the original.

- You had some notes wrong in certain places, like in m. 18 for example, where you missed the F#.

- And last but not least, got rid of the scales of m. 13 onwards, not only it's unplayable, but like this you can hear clearly the nice answer-response texture of that passage.

So that's that. Oh yeah, you're working with MuseScore right? Well I highly recommend getting Finale Notepad 2012, it's free and it will make things a lot easier to fix and stuff.

Next I'll be working on Hamour, and I will not only be giving an overhaul to your arrangement, but I'll also be making a little thingy myself with the song too hehe...

The link doesn't work though :p but thank you so much!
Re: the scales in m. 13: They are the last thing I added to the piece and I knew they weren't playable but did it for the sake of "completion". I guess that was unnecessary haha

I do actually have Notepad, but I'm just a lot more used to using Musescore so I'm doing the arrangements there and then porting them to Notepad to create the .mus and .mid files.

I do actually have Notepad, but I'm just a lot more used to using Musescore so I'm doing the arrangements there and then porting them to Notepad to create the .mus and .mid files.

Yeah xD
Oh it's not? How odd... I'll try again.

Edit: Ok it's fixed now, I think I copied it wrong, sorry about that. Try again please :J

Yes yes I like it. I'm pretty bad at figuring out harmonies so I appreciate the addition of harmonies to the melody line quite a bit. Can't wait to see what you do with Hamour! (I have a version of it with articulations and dynamics I finished last night if you want to use that as a basis instead of the one I posted to the thread)

Great work!
Everyone has their pet franchises (or sometimes just their pet games- mine is currently switching between TES Oblivion and Pokemon colosseum, which I'm doing arrangements for), and yours makes its niche.

Hmm I see... It's better, but please take a look again at m. 3, there's a big mistake there. I'd like you to practice on spotting mistakes and correcting them, it's a great step in arranging. Don't overthink it, it's nothing too complicated, but important and noticeable enough. Hint: listen to the original and compare. I'm positive you'll find it. ;J

It's the dotted-quarter, isn't it, should be a B-flat instead of an A? (And the subsequent notes, A and G instead of G and F.) Like I said, my first full video game arrangement, I'm not surprised there are some mistakes :p

Still a great arrangement. I'm also just starting to arrange, and my things look fine to me and then I get feedback from others (either here or via skype), and have easily another hour or two of work sometimes.

The Hamour arrangement was done over a year ago, and I've been playing it (wrong) for so long that I got used to hearing the "correct" version as the version I was playing. It certainly does explain why I was hearing a dissonance in the piano part (F against E on the downbeat of m. 4) where none existed in the original, heh :p

Anyway, I've got a new arrangement here: Jingle's 2nd song from Ham-Hams Unite!
MIDI (http://https://www.dropbox.com/s/69aef2giauw8zga/Jingle%27s%20Song.mid?dl=0) / MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/njher7mirx373se/Jingle%27s%20Song.mus?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/wlz3fcf7nlpht91/Jingle%27s_Song.pdf?dl=0) / Original on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvUCwY3cTXc)

I don't hear any harmonic layers other than these... though I'm not always good at telling which harmonies are ones I can hear versus ones my ear kind of assumes to be there. Regardless, I know the bass line is entirely correct because of a very careful method known as "playing the Musescore version alongside the original and listening closely for differences". I are best musician.

Only problem is that it looks basically unplayable for me - on my home piano, anyway - because my right pedal is broken. :( Hopefully I can get better at it when I go back to school and can use those pianos!

Really good job! In conjunction with the cross-staving, I would recommend using a solid line to connect the LH to and from the treble staff when you don't use cross-staff to connect back to the back to the other staff.

Anyway, I have a new arrangement: Jingle's Song from Ham-Ham Heartbreak.

I could still use a little assistance with this one. I know the melody (sans the slides, which I haven't yet added) and the bass are correct, it's the layer of eighth-note triplets (if they even are triplets) that gets me, since it doesn't always sound right - not the pitches, which I know are correct, but the rhythmic placements. I'm also having trouble telling if there are notes on the beat of each of the triplets, since the melody moves on the beat and I'm not the greatest at hearing harmonies. Any comments would be much appreciated! :p

Update of Spat's Theme. This is mostly the same as what I'd initially shared, with a few fixes as suggested by Bespinben (who also helped to make this more aesthetically pleasing and added the trills):
MIDI (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/35209091/Hamtaro%20-%20Spat%27s%20Theme.mid) / MUS (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/35209091/Hamtaro%20-%20Spat%27s%20Theme.mus) / PDF (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/35209091/Hamtaro%20-%20Spat%27s%20Theme.pdf)
This is the one that has been accepted to the site - just updating it in this thread.

I also have a (kind of) new arrangement, the Minigame theme from Ham-Ham Heartbreak. I say "kind of" new because the Minigame theme from Ham-Ham Heartbreak is almost the exact same as the Tack-Q Bowling theme from Ham-Hams Unite that's already in this thread, except transposed from B major to E-flat major, and with a slightly altered bassline and added harmonies. I got the bassline and a fair few of the harmonies myself, and DonValentino helped me fill in what I was missing (and made some octave adjustments):

MIDI (https://www.dropbox.com/s/jpeczjoj2242ylw/minigame.mid?dl=0) / MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/ismh5pvpg9k9180/minigame.mus?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/wkanfoiypne0h1c/minigame.pdf?dl=0) / Original on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryL6OVJr96E) (uploaded by me, hence the poor quality of the sound)

EDIT 2 hours later: I, uh, also finished up one of my other arrangements in progress, Acorn Shrine from Ham-Hams Unite:

MIDI (http://https://www.dropbox.com/s/x68kkf2z8x7eyf6/Acorn%20Shrine.mid?dl=0) / MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/05jf3ezh6123f8p/Acorn%20Shrine.mus?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/189bun5xdjboh6r/Acorn_Shrine.pdf?dl=0) / Original on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMeQoC7P3b0) (cuts out the very first note, but you'll hear it after the loop point)
At the risk of sounding conceited... I'm fairly confident that my arrangement of this is pretty much close to perfect. The only parts I would have questions on are the bass in m. 10, 14, and 26. While perhaps not an "error" per se, there is also the question of whether cut time is an appropriate time signature. I'm hearing the rhythm of the 1st measure as being 1-and-2 (as opposed to 1-2-3), and I'm hearing quarter notes simply because it sounds a little too slow to be eighth notes and because I feel like it's more aesthetically pleasing with a quarter note subdivision over an eighth note one.
Title: Re: Altissimo's Hamtaro Arrangements (3 New Arrangements!)
Post by: Altissimo on July 15, 2015, 09:43:48 PM
Made a couple alterations to Sky Garden and Jingle's Song from Heartbreak. The Sky Garden arpeggios were mostly correct, but when I compared it to a massively slowed-down version of the song, a few of the notes were wrong - they were part of the chord that the arpeggio was... arpeggiating... but they were the wrong note for that part of the arpeggio. MIDI (https://www.dropbox.com/s/r7ktp16leg24aoc/Sky%20Garden.mid?dl=0) / MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/j28cv4hd8tlmlmd/Sky%20Garden.mus?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/c3q2rxqd30hh5b0/Sky_Garden.pdf?dl=0)

On Jingle's Song, I made some adjustments to the triplets in the second voice. I'm still not entirely sure they're correct, but I think they're a little closer now...? MIDI (https://www.dropbox.com/s/5ifzzr3cyp97ttm/Jingle%27s%20Song%20%28Heartbreak%29.mid?dl=0) / MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/9xe5hn13z3x7ocx/Jingle%27s%20Song%20%28Heartbreak%29%20bak.mus?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/y5x0j1nmpt2vcdo/Jingle%27s_Song_%28Heartbreak%29.pdf?dl=0)

The big thing, however, is a new arrangement: the Clubhouse theme from Ham-Hams Unite. This one is a bit interesting because it uses swing eighths and some interesting accidentals (as jazz is wont to do). Unfortunately, the MIDI as saved by Finale Notepad didn't do a good job of copying that, even though the Musescore playback did. Bleh. Anyway, here we are:
MIDI (https://www.dropbox.com/s/e1z0clxt18ur123/Clubhouse%201.mid?dl=0) / MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/vi1wac3zdybtpvz/Clubhouse%201.mus?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/i14mn16qytizj0y/Clubhouse_%28Unite%29.pdf?dl=0) / Original on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuKinyAETck)

That being said, there are still a few things I'm having trouble piecing together: namely, the bass (specifically the first beat) of m. 12. I also feel like I might be hearing a harmony voice in ms. 7-8 and 11-13, but I can't tell if I'm just hearing overtones or implied harmonies rather than actual written harmonies. Any comments would be much appreciated!

EDIT: Ran into this (http://forum.ninsheetmusic.org/index.php?topic=3432.0) thread and decided to give it a whirl.
MIDI (https://www.dropbox.com/s/ldyoewkpbkzaq25/Carrobo%27s%20Theme.mid?dl=0) / MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/1jzfx6y7xwg5g3o/Carrobo%27s%20Theme.mus?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/6y1tqsbec3on0e2/Carrobo%27s_Theme.pdf?dl=0) / Original on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VOE028Vj4o) (has a slight glitch)
Few questions for you kind fellow arrangers:
1) I have no earthly idea what the key signature should be or even if there is one lmao. I'm not sure I even know what tonic is. It's definitely some sort of Phrygian/Locrian monstrosity but there's not enough music and too many alterations to "regular" accidentals for me to tell ugh
2) m. 2 and 4. What I hear is essentially octave-jumping B's with a quieter harmony. I'm pretty sure the F's on the eighth notes are correct, but I'm not sure of the octave, and I'm not entirely sure if they recur on the quarter-note B's - it sounds like they do, but in the playback you can hear the F's repeating themselves, which sounds a little odd.
3) The second layer on beat 2 of measure 8. I'm pretty sure it's correct but it's a little hard to tell lol

As always, comments appreciated!

I hope it's not bad that I'm updating my own arrangement thread so often but I have just been on an arrangement roll lately!

This time, it's Harmony's Theme from Ham-Ham Heartbreak. This arrangement probably has quite a few issues with the harmonies, but as always I'm not the best at hearing harmonic voices (I guess it's what happens when you're an orchestral trumpet player...). This one was fun to work on, though, and I'm proud of the parts that I am sure of.

Basically what Tobbeh said, I don't have a job and so I sit around, play video games, and arrange music. It also helps that I've taken four semesters of music theory and four semesters of sight-singing/ear training in addition to the year of AP Music Theory in high school, so jotting down the melody and bass is typically pretty easy for me. For these 8-bit GBC songs, melody and bass is often all there is. :p

Hm, what's your reasoning for that? I can see how it kinda makes more sense in the context of those measures but I'd like to hear why you say those (and only those) should be A#'s. Title: Re: Altissimo's Hamtaro Arrangements (New: Ham-Swap and HM Boutique from Unite!)

We can look at it in 3 ways:

(1) It's a minor-major seventh chord (B, D, F#, A#)

(2) You almost never will juxtapose a B natural (the bass) against a Bb (melody). Olimar's "Fighting Polygon Team" features an exception to this, because the "turnaround chord" at the end of the repeat is an E7#9 (the #9 typically spelled as a b10). That's not this song though.

(3) Direction of chromatic motion. Measure 16 is a Bb because the chromatic motion is downwards (to A), but m. 17-18 is A# because the chromatic motion is upwards (to B)

MIDI (https://www.dropbox.com/s/oq0koqtwrrfyt0h/Fun%20Land.mid?dl=0) / MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/q5ctpcf5xui25zk/Fun%20Land.mus?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/796tkwrib8lnubm/Fun_Land2.pdf?dl=0) / Original on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wwte4GqpO8w)

I have a version of this which incorporates all the second lines from m. 25-36, but I fear that adding all those lines adds too much to the score and makes it difficult to hear the melody properly, so this version just has what I feel is both consistent and playable. My original score in all its messy glory is here: MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/n048bn9wfz9t18u/Fun%20Land0.mus?dl=0) / MIDI (https://www.dropbox.com/s/14oso7ic2wy94la/Fun%20Land0.mid?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/1e5t8kzdkl9oduv/Fun_Land.pdf?dl=0) if anyone wants to take a look and see if they can find a way to incorporate all the lines somehow.

But I'm more wondering about the harmonies from m. 1-20 in the main melody. I'm hearing mostly parallel thirds but harmonies are my weak point, so any comments would, of course, be appreciated.

I've been attempting an arrangement of Candy Constellation from Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, as anyone who's seen my thread in the Requests board will know. But I'm having significant trouble with it, so I'm going to leave here my messy in-progress arrangement in case anyone wants to pick it up and help me out with the piano transcription. I am 100% positive the bass line and the rhythms in the melody are correct, so that's something you don't have to worry about. It's just the actual harmonies (especially after the middle section) that are killing me, but I really, really want to see this transcribed for piano, I just need help with it :(

And, for good measure, my version from last night, which is less visually a mess:

Vermilion City from Pokémon GSC. Probably my favorite arrangement yet. I took some artistic liberties with it, and I'm really pleased with the results.

Really, REALLY messy arrangement of Surf from Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald:

I'm gonna prune it down some... if I can figure out what the parts I want to keep are!

The distribution of parts currently leaves the LH fairly inactive while the RH is always busied. For example, in m.1-2, you could move the 2nd layer 16th run to the LH (an octave lower, maybe a little inverting too).

Yes, true. This would also allow me to keep more of the original parts. I'mma go see what I can do with that right now!

I'd notate it with LH indications, keeping the tenor voice in the LH held with pedal (either sustain or sostenuto) and try and give those runs to the LH as much as possible (though the RH does have to some work at some parts of the piece, in places like m.6)

Overhauled the Ham-Hams Unite and Ham-Ham Heartbreak sections of the main post. I went through and made each sheet in the Ham-Hams Unite section submission-ready and replaced the links with ones to the new arrangement.

I also recently uploaded two (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLxJjoDaHUpHot-XZZjU2vQKg0_oGp0yn3) playlists (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLxJjoDaHUpHoUUZqCpCpSN7W2vfqG0e9c) that contain every song used in both games, which hasn't been put on Youtube before, and I made my own OST numbers and track titles. This is basically for my own use because I plan to arrange every song from each OST and it'd be easier to work with if I had a numerical idea of what I was doing. Not only that, but the audio is clearer than some of the other uploads of the same tracks (including my own uploads from weeks past!), so it'll be helpful when I start giving these to submitters. I've accordingly updated every Youtube link between these two games with links to my own playlist.

My eventual goal, as stated, is to get every sheet from both games on the site. I plan to do as much of Ham-Hams Unite as I can by myself, but since I'm not really that good at 32-bit music, anyone who sees this is totally welcome to pick up a song from Ham-Ham Heartbreak (ones that I'm sure fans want to see include Moonlight, Boo Manor, the title screen, boss theme, Sandy Bay, Sandy Bay Island/Dizzy For You, and final credits, roughly in order of most to least interesting, at least to me) if you're interested in trying to arrange something from a game you might not have arranged before! I wrote down the key sigs (just from a minute of listening) and time signatures in a Word document, so I can easily provide those should you decide to take on the challenge!!

I would like to announce that as of today, I have finished notating every song in the Hamtaro: Ham-Hams Unite soundtrack!

They have not been "arranged" yet, only notated. But arranging comes easy once the song has been notated. It's just a matter of doing it, and I'll probably do it this weekend. Keep your eyes peeled!

Here we are, the mass update, the ENTIRE HHU COLLECTION (minus the ones already posted):

big
Hamtaro Time
MIDI (https://www.dropbox.com/s/vxcx5mkeigtciyd/%22Hamtaro%20Time%22.mid?dl=0) / MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/n6ttk2xl42fim4f/%22Hamtaro%20Time%22.mus?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/1pojxe3dwm83jiy/%22Hamtaro%20Time%22.pdf?dl=0) / Original on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r39HvZ-9Tz8)
Arranger notes: This is a MIDI-fied version of the Hamtaro dub's title sequence. Thus the original composer and the game composer have both been credited. Copyright goes to Pax Softnica 2001, just like the other arrangements, but I'm not entirely sure this is correct.
Also, the falling line and subsequent "bounce" noises at 0:02 are artifacts from me having to record this directly off my emulator.

Map
MIDI (https://www.dropbox.com/s/1dy0b7sfhbfog1z/%22Map2%22.mid?dl=0) / MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/slyv3ikw8cpsgrn/%22Map2%22.mus?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/im53j07ntcprux7/%22Map2%22.pdf?dl=0) / Original on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWhQsb4IfFw)
Arranger notes: There's a very, very quick note at the very beginning of the video, followed by a rising line. These are emulator artifacts that you don't hear after the piece loops.
The arpeggios in the right hand have had notes swapped octaves for the sake of playability and sounding good. If anyone knows a way these could be better retained in their given octaves, feel free to point it out. I still have the original file.
They're also a different layer because I feel like they're meant to be heard differently from the top line, they just happen to move at the same speed.

Boss' Introduction
MIDI (https://www.dropbox.com/s/sj0knebh4w2am8r/%22Boss%27%20Introduction%22.mid?dl=0) / MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/o9tutwyqhp9e33r/%22Boss%27%20Introduction%22.mus?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/3tkurqf3k1ardwc/%22Boss%27%20Introduction%22.pdf?dl=0) / Original on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEZxk3K8EFY)
Arranger notes: The note in the bass at the beginning of the video is another artifact.

Clubhouse Rooms 1
MIDI (https://www.dropbox.com/s/cl8c72es5nml7ws/%22Clubhouse%20Rooms%201%22.mid?dl=0) / MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/yr4af3k8a1k1gt3/%22Clubhouse%20Rooms%201%22.mus?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/ab0m3bgbtbpf2wg/%22Clubhouse%20Rooms%201%22.pdf?dl=0) / Original on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpHKRt0NIvk)
Arranger notes: The whole soundtrack is named according to what I think are the best names. In the area of the game called the Clubhouse, 15 characters have little individual rooms. Each room can have 1 of 3 tracks playing, with a track linked directly to a specific character. I just decided to call them "Clubhouse Rooms 1, 2, 3" for simplicity rather than, like, "Hamtaro, Jingle, Panda, and Stan's Rooms" or whatever the characters are (can't remember offhand). Any better title options are appreciated though.

Clubhouse Rooms 2
MIDI (https://www.dropbox.com/s/p0ggh5summwm9pi/%22Clubhouse%20Rooms%202%22.mid?dl=0) / MUS (http://https://www.dropbox.com/s/dc3uy0uxaao6q7j/%22Clubhouse%20Rooms%202%22.mus?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/30s7bdj8nj6zw85/%22Clubhouse%20Rooms%202%22.pdf?dl=0) / Original on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdioisDSbAs)
Arranger notes: Moved the left hand down an octave so it doesn't clash with the right hand when playing.

Clubhouse Rooms 3
MIDI (https://www.dropbox.com/s/p66ivna3hio2ukn/%22Clubhouse%20Rooms%203%22.mid?dl=0) / MUS (http://https://www.dropbox.com/s/ye0rqtg0f363gvm/%22Clubhouse%20Rooms%203%22.mus?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/7qh1byribml1h23/%22Clubhouse%20Rooms%203%22.pdf?dl=0) / Original on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZq2skDqYns)
Arranger notes: I think the left hand and second melody line are just doubling each other at the octave??? I think?????

Ham-Jam Room
MIDI (https://www.dropbox.com/s/0acg117m6ksf8vx/%22Ham-Jam%20Room%22.mid?dl=0) / MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/ayjj9q1fpz3zvzg/%22Ham-Jam%20Room%22.mus?dl=0) / PDF (http://https://www.dropbox.com/s/lty6e8y4338cw9b/%22Ham-Jam%20Room%22.pdf?dl=0) / Original on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n07ymo9lFmI)
Arranger notes: I'm not sure how many of those bass octaves are actually present. But I like them lol

Menu
MIDI (https://www.dropbox.com/s/bg3jvo8ml7nxfpk/%22Menu%22.mid?dl=0) / MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/t3lcebv879n80tt/%22Menu%22.mus?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/1d8t7sstag0pl70/%22Menu%22.pdf?dl=0) / Original on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=372UTErHkN0)
Arranger notes: This is the pause screen. Maybe I should call it "Pause Screen" or "Pause" instead of "Menu". I dunno.
The single note at the beginning and the upward line are emulator artifacts.
The E-flats at the beginning and end are representations of the percussion line.

Sunflower Park

Flower Garden

Arranger notes: This plays at two places in the game - in the Flower Garden and in a Cave. In the game's sequel the same track is used exclusively for Caves. But in this game you go to the Flower Garden before the Cave, so that's why I chose that title.
Also, it's whole-tone scale, and I assume the whole-tone scale just operates on "no key signature". I may have also notated the whole-tone scale with the wrong accidentals. Comments appreciated.
The bass has been dropped an octave to avoid clashing with the right hand.

Sunflower Elementary
MIDI (http://https://www.dropbox.com/s/n55m2qxl5l395wd/%22Sunflower%20Elementary%22.mid?dl=0) / MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/e04bfjrud7qbbo1/%22Sunflower%20Elementary%22%20bak.mus?dl=0) / PDF (http://https://www.dropbox.com/s/ytr3u1ivnkegne1/%22Sunflower%20Elementary%22.pdf?dl=0) / Original on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxv0Zuy7pdE)
The bass-line repetitions on a single note in m. 2, 4, 6, and 8 are representations of the percussion, which I personally feel is important to include since there's no other melodic material occurring simultaneously. How to notate it? Are these pitches good? Comments appreciated.
Also, the beginning is taken from the Westminster Chimes. Should copyright info reflect this? Or is Westminster Chimes just public domain at this point?

Ruins
MIDI (https://www.dropbox.com/s/6511eg73356i246/%22Ruins%22.mid?dl=0) / MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/zejbqki3mhfp1m6/%22Ruins%22.mus?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/bmxy1pc7kjim28j/%22Ruins%22.pdf?dl=0) / Original on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBnbZbg6rXw)
Arranger notes: The note at the very start is not part of the song. More emulator artifacts.
I dunno what the base pitches of the upwards glissandos at 0:18 and 0:20 are. Thoughts appreciated.
Measures 3-4, 7-8 and part of 10 have been raised an octave to reflect the fact that the original moves to a different sound but same pitches at this point.
The glissandos don't really show up on the MUS, but they do play back. They don't sound great and I'm not sure what the best way to write them is.

Arranger notes: The note at the beginning is, again, inconsequential.

Arranger notes: Taken from Necke's Csikos Post; composer info reflects this. Copyright is Pax Softnica 2001; if this is incorrect, I'd appreciate knowing the alternative!
The original is written in E minor, and this one clearly starts out in E minor but ends with a B minor cadence. Which key signature should be reflected?

"g" Rock
MIDI (https://www.dropbox.com/s/w5hola4sblrziis/%22%27g%27%20Rock%22.mid?dl=0) / MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/7uqwo1qwtv2r6k5/%22%27g%27%20Rock%22.mus?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/8srjiqh63agcy6h/%22%27g%27%20Rock%22.pdf?dl=0) / Original on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDx9DBxru1I)
Arranger notes: It's called "g" Rock in-game. Because of the necessity of having quotes around the title, I changed it to 'g' Rock so it appears as "'g' Rock".
Just using an eighth note at the last measure is the best way I can think of to approximate the "bend". Suggestions welcomed, as always.

Arranger notes: That's the title. Not "Young'n' Wild!" as you might expect.
The gliss at the end is a little funky, dunno how to better write that.

Little Star
MIDI (https://www.dropbox.com/s/6eosflcdh6d69nh/%22Little%20Star%22.mid?dl=0) / MUS (http://https://www.dropbox.com/s/8nsc82juk3cwa0w/%22Little%20Star%22.mus?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/rw88hd1wj9q1riu/%22Little%20Star%22.pdf?dl=0) / Original on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_jPWKWdvP8)
Arranger notes: Based on (but not exactly the same as) the Twinkle Twinkle Little Star theme. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star has its origins in a French folk melody, but I'm pretty sure the melody was chosen here because of the association with Twinkle Twinkle Little Star specifically (it's called "Little Star" and plays at a point in the game where you've just collected the 12th of 12 actual stars), so composer info is "Based on Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" rather than "Traditional French folk song" like Olimar's Tetris A-theme does. As always, comments appreciated.
Moved the first and second layers down an octave each for playability reasons.

Not a new arrangement, but I've just uploaded the full soundtrack (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLxc_KqDCoc&list=PLxJjoDaHUpHotc_08eORJN3zRTNvDuR13) to Hamtaro: Rainbow Rescue, to aid me in my future arrangement attempts... but if anyone wants to help out, here are the resources! :p
(Most track names, except ones with clear affiliation indications like "[Character's Theme]" or a level name like "Clover Elementary", are purely conjectural, though.)

Now an actual new arrangement: Kay Faraday's Theme, or "The Great Truth Burglar", from Ace Attorney Investigations (2)!

Quote from: Altissimo on October 10, 2015, 04:03:59 PMI AM FINALLY PLAYING INVESTIGATIONS 2 I downloaded it last summer and beat the first case but didn't get any further due to the ORAS pokedex being more important for all the months and then when I finally beat that Xenoblade happened so I'm FINALLY PLAYING THIS god I am such a terrible AA fan
and then Kay showed up and I was like "ah yes I forgot how much I love her theme"
"I should try to arrange it"
it took like 2 and a half hours which even I am surprised at.

Note: Yeah, it's not formatted correctly and there's no articulations or dynamics or any of that jazz yet. I plan to do that tomorrow. But all the notes are there, and mostly I'm just looking for some comments on playability and how well I incorporated the moving lines and if there's any stuff I missed for the time being. Since I'm not able to submit it until the next cycle, the other stuff is secondary at the moment.

(One specific thought: is there a good way to notate the drums in the first two measures with pitches?)

That's a really cool piece! I can't get to your MUS file or PDF, though.

For the drums, I don't think you could go wrong with some low A's or E's in the first measure. In the second measure, you could try juggling some notes in the tonic triad and some notes in-between while descending back down to an A.
(https://www.ninsheetmusic.org/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1381.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fah222%2FOronoco%2FOKNE2015%2Ff5156fb0-4ede-47b5-b006-4f81484f4a41_zpsogrno5vr.png&hash=ab0a4da972d300ab2d0c25baefa231f70ad91d71)
Something like this?
I've never tried putting notes to percussion before, though! I guess it would depend on what you have written already in your sheet (again, sorry the files aren't working for me! It's probably my fault. :)) )

In-progress version of this:

MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/wp1fxnwo154wtj3/Joking%20Motive.mus?dl=0) / MID (https://www.dropbox.com/s/mj9z01l052x61el/Joking%20Motive.mid?dl=0)

By "in-progress" I mean "missing some melodic echoes etc I could probably add to the right hand", "entire bass/harmony arrangements for a couple measures that are a bit odd", "changed rhythm in the bass sometimes" and "the harmonies accompanying the bass during the sixteenth-note runs in the RH". But there is still a lot there. So, comments on what I have so far, my RH articulations and LH harmonies (are the LH harmonies even fuken correct for instance)? I'd like to put this out here now so I can make adjustments as I go.

By the way, this is in the A blues scale, which uses the pitches A Cnat D Eb Enat Gnat A. Of course this means that only one of the accidentals in the A-maj key sig gets used: F#. Should I notate this as it is, in A-maj with C and G naturalized, in A minor with F sharped, or with one sharp in the key sig?

Fixed all the stuff I said I wasn't sure about in my post last night, here's an updated version:

(Still gonna have to give the C section (the part starting with the sixteenth-runs) another look over...)

Comments appreciated, especially since I'd like to submit this in the next submission cycle!

Handful of new arrangements - looking for some feedback on specific things.

Marathon - Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Games
MID (https://www.dropbox.com/s/04tq9wisykfqwey/Marathon.mid?dl=0) / MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/058xdocf3hsbxvz/Marathon.mus?dl=0) / PDF (http://https://www.dropbox.com/s/889jz2kvqdqm81a/Marathon.pdf?dl=0) / Original (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iv4NOJT3NMc)

Things here: 1) the harmony additions in the LH - are they correct? and 2) there's a couple points in the RH where the harmony notes are not playable simultaneously to the melody, how can this be fixed

Moonlight - Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Heartbreak
MID (http://https://www.dropbox.com/s/8i904s7wltep6nv/%22Moonlight%22.mid?dl=0) / MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/bzm03oelrzunhcc/%22Moonlight%22.mus?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/5d898gflgx1tuwp/%22Moonlight%22.pdf?dl=0) / Original (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOFq1_uvxCE)

This is pretty clearly taken from Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. Should the score more accurately reflect the original (which is in cut time for instance)? And how about copyright/composer info?

Boo Manor - Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Heartbreak
MID (https://www.dropbox.com/s/rqvg1rbzmne9hjq/Boo%20Manor.mid?dl=0) / MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/l3ix7rr7dbl857d/Boo%20Manor.mus?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/v5rjihu1jc62cg2/Boo%20Manor.pdf?dl=0) / Original (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Vhl4Ecf-gY)

ok this is pretty obviously unfinished. Things here:
1) the bass is going to get the percussion line (quarter-dotted eighth-sixteenth-eighth-eighth-quarter) but i got No idea how to incorporate that lmao. I don't want to use pitches, just hand percussion
2) are all the notes even correct lmao it's kinda hard to tell
3) is there a good way to incorporate the ghostly "whhhOOOOOoooo" that happens in the (currently blank) last measure for piano

Boo Manor is probably gonna be my next submission so I'd like to get feedback on it especially!

COMMENTS APPRECIATED!!

General clean-up of the whole Ham-Hams Unite soundtrack in the hopes of getting featured arranger stuff :o

Spoiler
Advance note: There's no official OST. The youtube links are to a playlist I uploaded and named. So all these titles are my own based on the dozens of times I've played the game.

Tottoko no Uta (Japanese Title Screen)
MID (https://www.dropbox.com/s/yvvq4luyu31su8u/%22Tottoko%20no%20Uta%22.mid?dl=0) / MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/5oie51ib3cvx0l0/%22Tottoko%20no%20Uta%22.mus?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/exv20212idxay1z/%22Tottoko%20no%20Uta%22.pdf?dl=0) / Original (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWQYa9zw8Zw)
-moved the 2nd layer down to the bass clef to facilitate ease of playing
-this is based off the japanese intro to the anime, which as far as I can tell was written by Motoyoshi Iwasaki (based on a credit in the credits of the English dub)

Map
MID (https://www.dropbox.com/s/perm2tc8w2ntc0q/%22Map%222.mid?dl=0) / MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/etzsg904l63remu/%22Map%222.mus?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/f4gtpznxzn6amos/%22Map%222.pdf?dl=0) / Original (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDpLRJCC_as)
-2nd layer has some funky re-octaving going on for ease of playing
-I especially wonder about the last measure in this regard (overlapping stems)

Boss' Theme
MID (https://www.dropbox.com/s/wjszu4vxipf27ue/%22Boss%20Theme%22.mid?dl=0) / MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/cxyo6c1p6si0p6v/%22Boss%20Theme%22.mus?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/unnauazgdv5m6as/%22Boss%20Theme%22.pdf?dl=0) / Original (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tr80yKO8hPc)
-This is literally the theme of a character called Boss, so the apostrophe should be there lol
-It's also a slowed down/slightly rearranged version of the sheet called "I'm Your Ham" that's already on site.

-Moved the bass down an octave to make it, well, a bass

Ham-Jam Room
MID (https://www.dropbox.com/s/0acg117m6ksf8vx/%22Ham-Jam%20Room%22.mid?dl=0) / MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/ayjj9q1fpz3zvzg/%22Ham-Jam%20Room%22.mus?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/lty6e8y4338cw9b/%22Ham-Jam%20Room%22.pdf?dl=0) / Original (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRCq9g6FYos)
-This one might need a little more looking over, because I'm not always sure about octaves vs harmonies in this particular. I'm wondering especially about m. 8.

Menu (Japanese)
MID (https://www.dropbox.com/s/5e3xc00vbyx2oez/%22Menu%20%28Japanese%29%22.mid?dl=0) / MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/nniwa88v8aje5fz/%22Menu%20%28Japanese%29%22.mus?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/f97wafklzirjd15/%22Menu%20%28Japanese%29%22.pdf?dl=0) / Original (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F5vkey94I1c)
-This is the menu theme, but only in the Japanese version of the game... because it consists solely of the bass + percussion tracks of the Japanese title screen theme, Tottoko no Uta. Since that wasn't used in the American/European versions, it was changed. This might be the best title, but ideas appreciated.
-Percussion omitted... since only one hand is playing, maybe it could be added in. Thoughts?

-This was used in the American and European versions of the game. It's the bass/percussion tracks of I'm Your Ham (on-site) or Boss' Theme. There are attempts to notate percussion at beginning and end; idk, maybe there could be more?

-This plays in the Flower Garden and also in a couple caves, so I just called it that. I don't know if picking one or the other would be, like, more aesthetically appealing, though.
-Whole tone scale. Did I notate it okay?
-The bass is a bass now. This might not be the best idea. Thoughts appreciated.

-Based on (but not exactly the same as) the Twinkle Twinkle Little Star theme. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star has its origins in a French folk melody, but I'm pretty sure the melody was chosen here because of the association with Twinkle Twinkle Little Star specifically (it's called "Little Star" and plays at a point in the game where you've just collected the 12th of 12 actual stars), so composer info is "Based on Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" rather than "Traditional French folk song".
-Moved the first and second layers down an octave each for playability reasons.

Title: Re: Altissimo's Hamtaro Arrangements (New: Some Hamtaro stuff! (last page))

Quote from: Altissimo on December 14, 2015, 12:26:05 PMGeneral clean-up of the whole Ham-Hams Unite soundtrack in the hopes of getting featured arranger stuff :o

-This one might need a little more looking over, because I'm not always sure about octaves vs harmonies in this particular. I'm wondering especially about m. 8.

Menu (Japanese)

I applaud your perseverance! If only I had just as much motivation to complete a whole collection of arrangements; I tend to always have too many songs on my wishlist than on my actual working list, lol. It's a hefty collection you have there so far, and there's so much more to come, wow! Best of luck!

My wishlist is huge too... but I also have a huge backlog completed so far, so it's not like I'm scrambling to get more arrangements done, haha. :p I'm definitely working on them, though!

Anyway, I overhauled/updated my OP. Still working my way through the Hamtaro tracks!

Changed the constant running sixteenth bass to eighth notes for playability reasons, and similarly the weird-ass triplets in 26-27 were made into... some more consistent pitches... for the same reason.

Route 104 from Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald. Latios has been bugging me to do this one ever since I replaced Surf, since the on-site sheet is kind of a complete mess. (http://www.ninsheetmusic.org/download/pdf/818)

It's still not fully finished - as it is it's very unplayable considering the ridiculous stretches, but I've been working on this for a long time today... done for tonight.

Comments, criticisms, suggestions etc much appreciated!!!!

nice arrangement!

Lot's of rests flying around however. Try moving some closer to it's system, and not in between systems and also broaden certain systems to make it cleaner and easier to read. Maybe also simplify some rhythms such as making the quarter notes into dotted quarters, with some articulation if necessary.

I did this (not the broadening systems part yet, though). I am opposed to changing rhythms because it should be rhythm first, articulation second - e.g. articulations should not be used as a substitute for rhythms, even if it makes the rest layout look better.

Anyhow, a handful of new arrangements.

I'm still debating whether it's worth putting Sandy Bay Island vs Dizzy For You, Hot Spring vs Great Springs, and Hamour vs Credits on the site as separate arrangements lol
and for that matter whether it's worth doing anything with Wildwoods and Wildwoods Wedding March

Hmm, well they are different songs... But those little themes are just the Ham Dance versions iirc (years since I last played it lol) right? I'd say we do like a single sheet with those while leaving the full versions as standalone sheets.

Oh yeah, here's a little present for you!

Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Heartbreak - "Sandy Bay" MUS (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/56815186/Hamtaro%20Ham-Ham%20Heartbreak%20-%20Sandy%20Bay%20Island.mus) (Doesn't sound as good as the original with the electric guitar but oh well!)

Since I'm doing some maintenance stuff on my arrangements and everything is a mess, I'll only share it as a public link here, so gogogo!
This was kinda easy and I had some free time, so I could do it very quickly, but Sandy Bay Island will take some time... Anyways, I hope I can work on in these days and finish it this week!

the other ham-jams are condor's wings, hidden riches, go ham rangers, flower waltz, moonlight (non-looping), and the title screen which afaik doesn't change for the ham-jam version

With that... I'm pretty sure I've finished all the original tracks from Ham-Ham Heartbreak! The others are all based off songs from Ham-Hams Unite, whose soundtrack I've completely finished.

Let's see... I haven't done any of the following:

-Pause Screens (Ham-Chat Dictionary and regular pause screen)
-HM Boutique
-Ham-Swap
-Ham-Jam Room
-Cave
-Final Credits

And I have a half-finished arrangement of the famous BOO MANOR that I'm having trouble with so if you wanna take that one on, feel free :p

There's also Wildwoods and Wildwoods Wedding March but idk how well those translate to piano.

Hey, nice job! (And super quick too haha)
A few things I'd suggest though:

-You don't actually need to put dynamic markings and crescendos under both lines. Just in the middle of the staff is enough. As far as I'm aware, Finale automatically applies them to both voices (but still brings out the melody). In fact, I think it might be screwing with your crescendos a bit as is, but I can't be sure.
-Remember to have ties between your grace notes and your main notes.
-I'm pretty sure Clubhouse is 4/4 with swing? Like it doesn't sound inaccurate at all in 12/8 but I dunno I just get more of a "swung" feel than a "compound meter" feel from it... probably because of all the jazz-like accidentals and the way the bass moves. If you want to try submitting it in 12/8 to see if updating staff feels 12/8 is more accurate, I wouldn't mind, but that's just my two cents.
-The C-flat at the end of m. 5 in Clubhouse should be a B-natural, and the grace note in m. 12 should be an F-sharp.
-The A-sharps in m. 16 and 17 of Hamtaro Time should be B-flats. (One way you can tell this is the case is looking at the interval relationships in the bass - m. 11-12 moves from D to G, up a perfect fourth. 13-14 moves from E to A, another perfect fourth. So, 15-16 should move another perfect fourth - which is F to B-flat, not F to A-sharp. Similarly, m. 12-13 moves from G to E, down a third; then 14-15 moves from A to F, down a third; so 16-17 should move from B-flat to G, which is a third, unlike A-sharp to G.)

Other than all that, really good! Props \o/ (now go submit them lol)

-The reason I have dynamics on both lines is because I have Finale set to output each piano staff to a different midi channel, which allows for left and right hand to be distinguished in programs like Synthesia. An unfortunate side effect is that the dynamics don't get applied to both staves like they should, but after experimenting it seems like crescendos work fine so I took those out ???
-Didn't know that was a rule for grace notes, thanks!
-I see what you mean about the swing feel, I just jumped to 12/8 because I heard triplets rather than dotted eighths, but swing would definitely match the attitude of the song better (plus Finale does triplet swing anyway so why not.) Changed it, but saved a 12/8 copy for history or something
-Thanks for the accidental advice, I've been reading more theory on this but it looks like I'm still terrible ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Dat Gr6-V cadence and then the bVI-bVII-I cadence later doe. That's what I like about Rainbow Rescue: while I think Ham-Ham Heartbreak and Ham-Hams Unite have more distinctive tracks in more interesting keys than just C major (which is what most of Rainbow Rescue seems to be in), the composers of Rainbow Rescue seemed to be more willing to do some interesting stuff musically with the Rainbow Rescue tracks, which make them hella fun to arrange.

Might wanna spend some time organizing your links fam.

Sometimes they'll be MUS / MID, sometimes they're MID / MUS, and there's a few MUS / MUS

Keep up the good work though.

Ehhh it's not as important to me as the actual arranging is. I will go back and fix the mus/mus ones tho.

Loving these Hamtaro arrangements. I have a copy of Ham-Ham Heartbreak that I've had so long that the internal battery is dead :P

Woah, congrats on the achievement!! It takes a particular kind of determination to arrange a complete soundtrack.

You deserve some adorable cupcakes!

hey look altissimo's back

with 1 arrangement

of a game she's never played

or heard of before about 5 days ago.

(this is what happens when u let ur bf pick all the meme videos to watch)

anyway this is from S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky lmao and if u play that game i'm sure u know what this is because it's like a giant meme or something i dunno don't ask me

MUS (https://www.dropbox.com/s/qeztrzci6pqktgs/Bandit%20Radio.mus?dl=0) / MID (https://www.dropbox.com/s/dbb4uz9490ci5uf/Bandit%20Radio.mid?dl=0) / PDF (https://www.dropbox.com/s/f0156xwol6vlp26/Bandit%20Radio.pdf?dl=0) / Original (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_podzD4cSA)

notes:
-i dont know jack shit about this game so the composer credit is likely wrong atm because I found out about 2 seconds ago from knowyourmeme that the piece is based off this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGrzQW21zWA) - maybe, since this vid is 2011 and the original game is 2008 - so lmao if anyone has any idea what is the truth would be appreciated
-this is a rough draft i pulled together in less than 2 hours so it's not really done. More specifically I'm not 100% sure all the harmonies in the LH are correct and even if they are if how they're written is the best way to play them. Comments appreciated!

oh and because this is a meme and i'll probably be attacked if i don't do this

A NU CHEEKI BREEKI IV DAMKE

[1/16/17 1:13:50 AM] Altissimo: ahahahaha
[1/16/17 1:13:52 AM] bf: that game was THAT fucked
