Ok guys, the intro to my story is going up as we speak. Oh wait, we aren't speaking. You're just reading this text I am typing while I should be uploading the intro. WHY AREN'T YOU TELLING ME TO STOP? Oh yea, this isn't live. Just go see it when I say its up, ok? Oh yea, there's still not a title. Not important. Maybe there is a title. It just hasn't been revealed to you yet. It will be...at the proper time. Or maybe when I think of one.
UPDATE: And the moment you've all been waiting for...The intro is posted! Like it? Dislike it? Let me know here! But not over there...

Anyway, who knows? When is Chapter 1? Or 2? Or 3? Or 30? The characters will dictate how fast and how long this story moves. The first chapter when the writer deems that it is at a level that will please his audience the most. It depends how smoothly Caleb Kelly and Malachi Leonard develop. Man, those pseudonyms are not that good...but remember that, they are pseudonyms. Feel free to start guessing who these people are. These first 2 are probably easy, but trust me, they won't all be this simple...

Thanks for the encouraging words, guys! I was worried for a while that after I transferred it onto the page, it was a little too obvious that it was 2:30am for me when I finished it. Those words remind me that the only thing revealing that to you guys is a timestamp. Look forward to the next chapter! I'm busy this afternoon, but I might be able to squeeze it in! If not, then I'll write it tomorrow for sure!

First of all, the profile could have been your actual self out a made up personality. Second of all, I think I worded the guessing thing poorly. What I meant was it would be pretty easy to guess
if it was your own character. Since you can't guess Malachi, then it's probably not you. Caleb was pretty simple; I don't know how easy it would be to make a story where I was not represented as the narrator or storyteller. I'm currently debating whether the story will be told from my first person point of view or if it will be all 3rd person. Probably first, since that's the way the intro starts. So yea, I'll go with first.

Trust me, I (we) as authors have very good reason to not have anyone else introduced yet. That will be revealed in due time. Besides, if you call what I did in the introduction
introducing characters, you're wrong. Simply giving our names, a newspaper quote, and a small paragraph of recollection is
not an introduction of characters. Remember, its an introduction to (essentially) a book; its purpose is to get you prepared to read the story. If it happens to say stuff about characters, that's great. But it doesn't have to. If you want to see an example of what I'm talking about, pick up The Scarlet Letter and read the Custom House (the intro to that book). It's 63 pages long, and I'm pretty sure it doesn't even mention a character, and even if it mentions one, it simply gives the name and moves on. Not that I'm Nathaniel Hawthorne or anything. :D

Thanks a lot! I really tried. I think I started that at about 11PM or so, and it took me about 3.5ish hours to write. I'm glad you think it was worth the time spent! And be sure to keep an eye on that friendship between Caleb and Malachi. It is a sure indicator of the direction in which the story is going. Plus, we are very lucky to have Trains on the team! Oh yea, and this message is for

It wasn't really experience that decided that, it was more because they had knowledge of
certain game franchises that were necessary for this story. Now, we already kind of have the whole story mapped out, and they have been here since the beginning of the story. The post may not have said they were, but Latios and I were the ones to develop the original idea for the story, and as soon as Trains requested a role from another game franchise I didn't know much about, she became a writer. It's not that that you can't, as much as it is that it would be hard to incorporate you after all we have already done. This is not the only story I'm planning on doing, however; maybe you can help out on the next one or even write your own! Sorry that you couldn't be a part of this one!

UPDATE: CHAPTER 2 OFFICIALLY OUT! MUCH CLEANER CHAPTER, I MUST SAY! 1 SWEAR WORD. THAT'S RIGHT, ONE. NOT THAT WE'RE COUNTING, OR ANYTHING.
I'm really intrigued now, knowing that Super Mario and two new characters are in it! It's progressing at a good pace, not too slow or too fast! I know who Amelia is, but I'm not sure who Samantha is...I guess I will have to wait until more is revealed!
Also, when I read IFO at the ending, I was about to tell you that you had made a spelling mistake until I realized it was part of the story, haha.

Jokes aside, I like where this is going. I'm more surprised by the fact that Mario wasn't practicing his long jump when they found him (lol, that would've been hilarious). Great job.

I know, I just can't get the ladies, not even in fictional settings... :P Anyway, I'm glad to see that you are enjoying it! And I'm sorry I couldn't think of something creative for Mario to be doing. I knew that ending was pretty weak, but it was after 2am, and I just wanted to finish it off. Hopefully Chapter 3 continues this trend of good writing, and then Chapter 4 will be fun. You guys won't see this coming. That's what I love about writing. Writers come up with these great ideas sometimes, and we just know that it will knock peoples' socks off. I sure hope it does! Stay tuned!

I actually have to disagree. I think the ending was the best part! Hardly weak at all! :)
I never said it was weak lol. I actually loved it. Just the image of Mario sitting forlornly on the side of an abandoned back road in the middle of Nevada brings tears to my eyes... *sniffle*

Ok, I should have made an official announcement. I didn't think I would really need to, but I have learned that I should have. Chapter 3 is on hold until further notice. It is not because I don't have the time (don't expect me to be cranking out chapters as fast as I did before school though...). It's because we have recently added a new member to the team (don't reveal, TG) and we are still working out a small thing with chapter 3. Trust me, it will be worth the delay...
