Title: NSM Pokémon Drawing
Post by: braix on September 06, 2015, 06:43:52 PM
Join me on my quest to drawing all the Pokémon! Don't worry it'll only take maybe 3 years.
I'll post the name of the Pokémon we should draw everyday and it'll be in order by region/number, so that we can keep track of our progress easily.
There's no need feel pressured to do a great job; it's just practice.

If I ever die, feel free to bump this so that I remember about it lol

Your pic isn't showing up. To fix that, change the "www." in the url to "dl." (You might want to put the pic in a spoiler, because it is pretty big...)

Just an FYI, I have never played a Pokémon game for an extended period of time, so I have to look almost all of them up to even remotely know what they look like. So yea, I'll be basing mine off the Internet as well.

Thanks, I appreciate it! I agree; he is cute! That's the thing about Mario characters; most of them aren't really...cute...(except Yoshi; he's adorable :)). But out of the 700+ (whatever the number is) Pokémon out there, a great deal of them are cute. And don't get the opinion that I hate Pokémon because of what is happening in the hurt/heal thing. I'm just kind of taking out my anger on losing Mario on it. Honestly, I played one Pokémon game for a total of 2 weeks. That has been it in my life. It really is sad. Once I lost my emulator power, I was without the game. Just as I started getting into it.....
Title: Re: NSM Pokémon Drawing
Post by: Oasis on September 06, 2015, 11:17:04 PM
Dont sweat! I agree, Mario characters are not cute. I looked up Yoshi and <3
I guess toads are cute and cheep cheeps are cute also and Bowser......NOT cute. XD
It is fine! If Pokemon was gone from there I would take all my anger out on Mario so I totally understand. And what about getting a new emulator?
You should try Pokemon again because it really us a good franchise!

I really really really really really really want to. I mean, I have the Homebrew Channel on my Wii. It is so easy for me to do, I just don't seem to ever have the time...And with the added bonus of getting Super Mario Maker on Friday....yea, I'll be busy with that for a while. ;D Maybe I'll finally get another emulator today (I should really sleep now, it's 2:30am my time). Which Pokémon game should I get? Mind you, I'd probably have to stick to the Gameboy ones, because the DS emulator just...doesn't...work...but Gameboy one is fine. What do you recommend?

Quote from: InsigTurtle on September 06, 2015, 11:19:08 PMwhat are you talking about bowser is the most kawaii motherf*cker ever
Man, I've heard that word kawaii used so much here. I had never even heard of it until joining NSM. But in a weird, sick way, I kind of have to agree. I mean, why would Peach keep getting "captured?"

I don't know how fast or slow people work. Plus we have other stuff to do besides drawing Pokemon all day. 2 or 3 a day might be reasonable though, but I need to know how fast everyone draws.

I don't have other stuff to do. I can draw about 20 in a day! Then we can get to Kyogre!  :)

Maybe go in order but shuffle the pokedexes? So like Kanto>Johto>Hoenn>etc. (Bulbasaur>Chikorita>Treecko>etc). That'd stay in a reasonable order but make things more interesting since staying in one gen (especially gen 1) can get a little dry. It might be a little confusing though

Or this could be an exercise in patience

Also Braix, is there any reason you're not using their actual National Dex numbers? The only reason I'm asking is that it can get confusing--the regional Dexes also throw in older Pokémon so the newer ones aren't really in order.

That makes things messy and I want to keep track of exactly where we are. Random might be fun, but I didn't start this thread to make a massive checklist. If we ever get to say 400, and the randomizer chooses Hydreigon, I need to know if Hydreigon was drawn already or not. Going in order eliminates that problem.
