I really like the music from that game. The arrangement's not too bad... I would like to see some staccato markings because there are a bunch of notes that should be detached, and you should ask someone to put an 8vb on your sheet so it's easier to read the left hand. I didn't really check for errors or anything but I'll be sure to check the sheet over later and give some better feedback. Oh, but you could mix the rests to save space (two 16th rests could turn into 8th rests, two 8th rests could turn into quarter rests, etc.). But yeah, good job, and I'll help you out with the sheet since I love the song so much.

I don't tend to put staccato in piano parts because the nature of the instrument (the immediate dampening of sound with fluffy hammers thing) makes many notes sufficiently short anyway- but it's not completely out of the question or anything XD I'm just not quite sure where I would place them in here, in particular...
I didn't think that the bass part was particularly hard to read except at the beginning, but that's just in octaves and only for eight bars anyway... and I tend to avoid 8va and 8vb because it's usually more annoying to read than the ledger lines. Then again, I don't really know much about how piano parts are configured... hm.
I was waiting for a comment on the rests though XD I didn't compress them because there are pretty much two bass rhythms in the whole piece, and having them split up helps with subdivision... I'll go through and compress them, though, and see if it makes a difference.
EDIT: Rests have been compressed and the new file is in the first post.

(By the way, what I'm REALLY looking forward to arranging is the club leader duel music... heh heh. This music is catchy though so I can understand why you like it ^_^)

Ah, the memories. i remember playing this game so very long ago. Good Times. Anyhoo, i agree, some notes need to be detached and there at the end when you "copied and pasted" some notes on the left hand got scrunched together, that happens and makes it a little harder to read, but i like it, good show!

I hate the game and adore the music. Beautiful arrangement.

Ok, I started fixing it, and you can expect to see the corrections tomorrow maybe. Anyways, one of the bigger problems I'll point out is that there are a bunch of grace notes/scoops in the actual song. I can point them out on the sheet, but I can't actually activate them with NotePad... Also, I corrected the second half of measure 50, which is actually supposed to be triplet'd 16th notes if I'm right.

Oh, and the themes I'm really looking forward to are the Ronald and Grand Master Duel themes. The only reason I like the Grand Master theme though is because they used parts of it in the Pokemon Emerald songs...

I noticed that... stupid Siamese note heads... erm, is there any way to fix that? Would it be something silly like deleting all the notes and re-writing them? XD

Ah... no! They're quintuplets in bar 50. Except, you see, Finale hates me and when I tried to write in the quintuplets, it only took groups of 4 or 7 and no matter how hard I tried it stubbornly refused to put the bracket around 5 notes. So I gave up and just wrote semiquavers. =[
I know there are scoops, scoops everywhere, but how the heck does a piano scoop? That's why they weren't in there... I think this piece would be very well suited for a clarinet (or more accurately 2 clarinets and a bass clarinet... contrabass clarinet, actually XD) with all the scoopy things, and the cheesy MIDI-ish noise sounds very clarinetty, unlike in the intro and some other tracks... I would mush in some grace notes to replace the scoops if I could find where they are in Notepad... (did you say Notepad can't do grace notes? I can write them in using Sibelius and get the file "translated", I think...)

Also, thanks to PM7 and Korados for the compliments. ^_^
I'll edit the new file (staccato included, but I can't say the same for batteries) into the first post now.
Random note, staccato is annoying because it's supposed to mean detached but is often taken as just plain "short" and a bunch of the notes are supposed to sound longer but still be detached... hehe. But even if the playback is stuffed the pianist would get it right... hopefully, anyway. ^^;

The only way i know to fix the "scrunchies" is to redo the measures. I've pasted a measure in and it got scrunched, retyped it and it was back to normal.

If there are 'scrunches', then grab the note for whatever note is first in that measure and click exactly on it and they will spread out.

For grace notes, the best NotePad can make them is with the text tool. :(

Also, in measure 50, each scale has 6 pitches, so it's not in groups of 5s.

Yeah, this song needs some cleaning up.  But you all have already noticed that, so I will let you do your thing. :)

I hope there's no problem bumping threads for re-use! (I like that warning it gives you though... that's nifty! They should have that on all sorts of forums.)
I got a uh, reinvite here (: I was wondering what happened to the domain and all... so yay! Arranging time! ...waiting for the uploading script thingy to be fixed gives more time for feedback. (: And now I've obtained a copy of Finale 2009b! Sweetness!

When I was gone I made an arrangement of Violet City from Pokémon Gold/Silver/Crystal, 'cause I looove that one. That's my favourite tune in all those pokey-man games. And it was easy, but I think it's in the horrid key of B major, you know...
.MUS (http://www.filefactory.com/file/ag1ddf3/n/VioletCity_MUS) .MID (http://www.filefactory.com/file/ag1ddf0/n/VioletCity_mid)
But yeah, I consider that one to be complete as of now. (unless someone disagrees with something I've written here... eeeh?) So uh... I'll go look up that proper submission format thingy and put it in my first post. ^^;

I also started some more arrangements to fill in that poor empty little Pokemon TCG section. Wheeeee. However, the Rival Duel-ling theme is one hell of a tough job, I've come to realise... ^^; although it seemed like fun to begin with, and I managed the bass line and the main melody, all the inner harmony part thing is like... reeeally hard to hear. ): So I'm uh, not gunna post that one just yet. What I managed to do was get down the notes in the grand master-duelling music. Uh, so here's a .MID of that. (: (http://www.filefactory.com/file/ag1ddfe/n/PokemonTCGgrandmasterduel_mid) I need to go over it a bit but yeah!

That's about all for now.

EDIT: I took a gander at that giant request thread for Pokémon music!  And nobody has done the cute little guide music thing? For shaaame. It only took like an hour or two. Here's a .MUS (http://www.filefactory.com/file/ag1dh45/n/Guidepost_mus) and a .MID (http://www.filefactory.com/file/ag1dh49/n/Guidepost_mid).

Wohoo! More arrangements! Thanks!

Well, I saw Guide Me Around and Violet city, and they are awesome. Perhaps a little hard to play for me at the moment, but I hope I'll be able to play them soon.

And may I suggest putting all your arrangements in the first post? Makes it a bit easier to find them all.

Will you be doing more Pokémon music? If so, you know where to find the request thread!

Welcome to this site at first.
Your arrangement of Violet City is great, sounds awesome.
Since you're a Pokémon music fan as well, I'd like to coöperate. I've done quite some Pokémon stuff too, check them out here (http://ninsheetmusic.drshnaps.com/smf/index.php?topic=1208.0).

They're all in the first post now, Cobra-man! (: And don't worry, I can't play them either... hehe. Guidepost shouldn't be too difficult though (except that one bar) (:

And ah.. yo... mister... Greek... man :D yay umlauts. I'll roll by your thread. Wheeee~

And thanks for the compliments, both of you. ^^

Due to the fact that you like Pokemon, I like you :). Secondly, your arrangements were amazing, especially violet city. It always reminds of playing Pokemon Silver (what a wonderful time). Thanks!
