I don't really have a preference about how the 8th notes are beamed, so I went ahead and changed it to the beaming you suggested. I'm all for anything that helps readability.

Thanks!

Awesome! I don't mind rearticulating those notes in the chords.

I've updated with the changes. Thanks for your help!

Great, thanks for the feedback! I've made the changes you've noted.

  • The variations do repeat as you climb the tower in the game, so I left the repeats in for each section. I also changed the text to "repeat indefinitely"
  • I've adjusted m. 49-64 so the moving note is in one layer and the chords are in another. I hope it looks right with the ties and adjusting - let me know if it needs some more work.

Separating the moving layer and the chord layer means you repeat the C in the LH in m. 53 and the D in the LH in m. 60 - I think they technically tie in from the previous measure in the recording. I don't mind repeating those notes, but if that's something that needs to be changed, let me know.

Thanks!

Here's a sheet I've been sitting on for a while. Let me know if you see anything that needs some attention (I could use another set of eyes on m. 49-64). Thanks!

Thank you for the feedback. It was very clear and helpful! I've updated the files and added a link to the MUS file as well.

  • For m. 53-59, I separated the layers - if anyone has comments on how I split the layers, I am open to feedback. Because the layers interlace, there's some difficulty in choosing where to place notes
  • In the game, the final section would repeat forever, so I added a "repeat forever" marking over the final bar
  • I changed to the new template, and made the small formatting adjustments

If anyone else has feedback, let me know! (Switching to the new template might have added small formatting errors I didn't catch.) Otherwise, I'll try submitting soon. Thanks!

Edit: I've submitted the sheet. Follow along here!

TwinAdam's Arrangements

Hello, everyone! I'm looking to submit a sheet that I started a few years back but never got around to finishing. I'd appreciate any advice before I submit.

Tower of Spirits Staircase: [MUSX][PDF][MIDI][MUS]

What I need advice on:
  • Clashing right and left hands (m. 17 and 25) - should I add parentheses around the G in the right hand? Or move the left hand down an octave?
  • Crossing hands (m. 24 and 32) where the G in the right hand goes under the left - does that make this annoying to play?
  • Last phrase is unplayable (m. 49-64) - how do I choose which notes to leave out in the left hand? Is there an easier way to notate how the notes seem to "stack"? Should I just have pedal markings and only write notes in the first measure they appear?
  • Anything else you see!

I appreciate the help!

Alright, now I've got it so that the systems go 4 on the first page, 4 on the next, and 3 on the last. Let me know if there's anything else I need to do in regards to formatting it, I've never formatted my sheets before. Thanks!

I've updated the links to include the revisions.

  • It has been changed from 6/8 to 3/4 with the tempo change suggested
  • The C's in the second bar of the melody have all been changed to D's - I now hear what you are saying
  • Referring to switching the measure 17 pattern with the measure 25 pattern, I actually have another recording that has no fade in tracks, just immediate additions. You can hear at 0:39 that the measure 17 pattern comes first. The recording quality in this version is poor, so I didn't reference it for the whole piece, but I would keep the measure 17 pattern first.
  • For 49 and onward, I would look at 6:21 in the original youtube video that I used.

Thank you for the suggestions!

Yeah, now that I listen to the drum part, I can hear how it emphasizes 1 and 4, so it's in 6/8.

Thanks for the advice - I'm glad my sheets look well-formatted. I spent a lot of time on it  ;D

I'll probably keep this up for a day or so before I submit it through the system in case anyone else has comments. Thanks again!

Hey guys! I'm artcat, and I'm in the process of making my first piano arrangement to submit to the site, and I was wondering if anyone would be willing to look it over just to make sure it's in good shape before I submit it.

I arranged "Tower of Spirits Staircase" from Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. Here's a video, and my arrangement:

My concerns:
  • I'm fairly certain that the song is in G minor, but the brass in the end suggests that it may be in Eb Lydian, however those are the same key signature. It's probably okay to write it in two flats, and I can't really think of any other way to do it.
  • I feel that it is in 3/4, although part of the melody makes me feel it is in 6/4 because there isn't quite as much emphasis on every other measure in the marimba/thumb piano thingy part. Thoughts?
  • In the end, there are so many parts going on, so I basically combined the brass with the vocals, but there could be a better way to do it.

The music has so many layers that I had trouble combining them at the end, but I did the best that I could while still having the piece be playable. I would appreciate any comments you guys have before I submit it. Thanks! Hope to get to arranging more for the site!

Request / [MUL] Sonic Adventure 2 - Supporting Me
August 13, 2016, 12:07:14 PM
Supporting Me

This song is the music that plays during the first Biolizard battle at the end of Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Adventure 2: Battle.
I know it is in 4/4 and the synth part that plays at 24 seconds is:
F - E - F - F# - Db - Bb, - Bb' - Ab - F

Thank you if you decide to do this! It would be very much appreciated!
#14
Yeah, it does. I wonder if they did that on purpose or not.

I am really obsessed with this song lately. It is the boss music that plays when you are battling Tabuu. If someone would arrange this song, I would greatly appreciate it.  :)

I know it is really hard, with all the synthesizer parts, but I wanted to ask someone and see if they could do something with it. I think it would be fun to play. Thanks!
