NSM Performance Videos / Re: mariolegofan's Performance Submissions

I never actually expected you to really post a performance in here like... ever... So I am positively surprised.

I think you did a decent job. I like it.

Well before making the IP public I wanted to talk with a moderator about it first, maybe they were looking for a server and want to make it official in a way.

Also I'd have to make the NSM 'Lounge' area :)

P.S. I'm a Pikachu :P

This test is 100% accurate.

Source: I say so.

Also welcome to NSM, neighbour. Always nice to have more Chopin-fanboys here.

Hahaha  ;D

I've been trying to contact Yamaha, is he busy at the moment?

Who is this Yamaha guy you keep talking about?

Rule #1: Jamaha is always busy.

But nothing can stop you from just posting ip+pw in this thread and just asking for people to join.

When I joined, I would have really loved to. Now that I got to know the community a lot better, I really don't.

Still a good idea!

Help! / Re: Is it "bad" to have somewhat large stretches?

To be honest, 10ths are a big deterrent for me when finding sheets to learn, because unlike special techniques and fingerings it's not something you can learn to do. If your hand isn't big enough, then it just isn't big enough. Be considerate to players and make sure that it sounds alright if it's altered a bit for playability (e.g. if the chord is rolled, or one of the notes is moved or omitted).

Succeed or die trying.

Hi, all! I'm Brock. I'm a music ed major at Pittsburg State University in Kansas. My major instrument is voice but I play percussion, euphonium, trombone and trumpet. I don't play piano very well but I love arranging. Hope to post here sometime.

Hello and welcome.

Music / Re: What music sheets are you playing right now?

Chopin Op. 64 No. 2
BWV 779 ("Inventio 8")
All of Me - John Legend (For a wedding... Atleast I plan to start with this soonish... Maybe...)

How the hell can you play piano with nails that long(?)

Help! / Re: Improving at Playing Piano
« on: April 16, 2015, 03:59:27 PM »
Don't confuse him. This is way too complicated a concept for him to think about let alone implement at this point.

I play for not even half a year and I am pretty sure Braixen has played for a longer period of time. So how on earth is the stuff Pianist Da Sootopolis said confusing, complicated or hard to implement at this point?
Braixen clearly asked about advanced pieces.

Yeah you'd be wise to stay away from him.

I see you're new to the forums. Welcome!
