Something brand new! For some reason this track popped into my head a few weeks back and then it turned into this.

[Wii] Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Adventure Map - PDF | MP3

Yeah I have a folder full of stuff that I never posted. I'm slowly working my way through it to see what's worth posting and fixing up what isn't.

Anyway, here's the link. The layout still needs a little polishing but I won't really have time until the weekend.

There are probably dozens of ways that you can arrange the opening bar but I think the main things to bear in mind are making something that sounds good and isn't too ridiculous to play. Fancy flourishes can be a bit hard to execute for your average amateur pianist, so they're not always a good idea unless you're careful with how you distribute the notes between the hands. And transcribing exactly what's there won't always help you either. Try doing a rough transcription of the harmony and then messing around at the piano, you'd be amazed at what your fingers might come up with. And maybe consult some similar pieces and see what other composers have done? This track reminds me a little bit of Satie so he might be a good place to start.

The main focus of this submission will be figuring out the first measure...
I've got a version I did back in my last arranging spree in 2016 or so. I'll see if I can dig it up tonight or tomorrow and give you some food for thought.

The iconic wrists are no more though.
They're on desktop. Cos who needs wrists on mobile haha.

will take a while to get used to but it's pretty groovy! what does the coloured bar thing mean?
Popularity, the same as those black bars we had before.

Site News / NinSheetMusic's 15th Birthday! (+ New Layout)
« on: April 11, 2019, 07:58:45 AM »
Today, we celebrate NinSheetMusic's 15th birthday: Hip-hip hooray!

I wasn't too sure what to say but it got me thinking: 15 years is quite a long time for a website, especially one for video game sheet music. In that time, many vgm sheet music sites have come and gone, as have countless arrangers and performers. And yet somehow, despite our ups and downs, here we are still chugging along. I've been here for nearly 10 years, which isn't as long as some, but in that time many arrangers and performers have come through here. It's been a privilege to see them grow and in many cases, take what they've learned here and go on to do bigger and better things. Jamaha put it perfectly in a previous birthday post when he wrote: "It feels good to help people play music from the games they love." So here's to another 15 years and more!

Enough speeches, it's time for the champagne and presents! To celebrate our 15th birthday, we're unveiling our new site design! Yes it's been a long time coming but after months of work and plenty of revisions, it's finally here. A big thankyou to all the staff who road tested it and provided feedback. It wouldn't have been possible without you. We still have many more features and improvements on the to-do list so stay tuned for more in the future but for now I think I need a holiday!

Here's a brief run-down of the new features and general improvements.
  • It's responsive! So now you can finally browse on whatever device you like without having to squint or zoom in.
  • Your forum login now carries over to the main site. For those who are logged in, you'll see your username and you get a little user menu panel. At the moment this doesn't do a whole lot, but we have things planned for it. But it does give you a nice little notification if you've received a PM.
  • We have support for swipe detection on touch devices. So if you do a quick right swipe from the left edge of the screen you can open the mobile menu. If you are logged in, you can do a quick left swipe from the right edge of the screen to open the user panel.
  • For those on desktop computers, or devices with larger screens, you can use the Quick Browse feature. Just click on the yellow sign which hangs from the menu bar to open a menu that enables you to quickly jump to any series, console, or arranger page.
  • Sheet lists are now collapsible. We might make a user setting for this in the future.

Site News / Re: New Series

Make sure to update when you guys are completely finished adding new series to the sidebar - I'll update my stuff to account for the new series once it's done. Doesn't make much sense for me to jump the gun & have to change my stuff more than once.
Okay, I think we're done for now.

Probably also with the full name "Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble" and then "Donkey Kong Country 3 (GBA)" or something like that. We usually put the full title as the title.
Fixed.

I wonder if there’s a way we could finally get Legend of Zelda in its correct alphabetical place on the side bar while you’re at it?
What do you think it should be or how do you think it should be written?

Yeah that's been suggested before but it's not possible with the ways things are set up at the moment. That might change in the future, it depends where things go.

As it says in the post:
Over the next few days we'll be gradually adding

So far only Mario Kart has been added. I'll put a list in the opening post of what's been added.
