What did you do for Memorial Day weekend?
It coincided with my trip to Australia, so that.

I went hiking and saw a light show.

I'm about to go to sleep. Yay sleep. Comfy bed, laying down. Bliss.

My bf isn't super touchy, so he's not the cuddler I'd like him to be...
But I love it when he snuggles right up to me in bed.

But yay Jub! let's hope it all works out for you.

Thanks everyone!! I got to celebrate 2 birthdays this year because of the crazy time difference between Australia and Seattle. It is certainly one for the record books and has been one of the better birthdays I've had (pretty much 21-24 have all been amazing).

You can check my Instagram (in my sig) for what I have been doing.

My boss left me take pretty much the entire day off since I leave for Australia tomorrow!! That was pretty nice!

One of my close friends is in a similar situation (the only Asian guy in a family and worried about the dead branches, etc...) and hasn't had the courage to really come out to anyone, likely out of fear of not living up to parents expectations and how his friends would think of him.

But coming from someone who lost a parent suddenly, I always wished I had more time. If you have a chance to speak with your parents, try. And it is never too late to learn a language. Even learning enough Canto to tell them that you want to talk to them and be closer to them would go a long way.

You may think you may have 10-30 years, but it may be less (or more) than that.

I've already lost about 20lbs since I moved to Seattle 5 months ago.

I walk to work everyday and watch what I eat for breakfast and dinner (lunch calories don't matter to me). I do take the metro home from work, because it's all uphill back home, but sometimes I walk back up if I need to workout more.

living in the suburbs, I drove everywhere, so that meant I had to go running or something, but now I walk everywhere and it's amazing.

How often do you clean your room/apt/house?
Weekly. I do bedding every 2 weeks and alternate with rugs and additional blankets/mats. I dust and vacuum bi-monthly and mop semi-monthly. I scrub the counters and stove weekly or whenever needed.

Yeah. I go a bit crazy.

I would think in-state schools would have the same tuition (when I applied to UCLA, UCB, UCD and UCSB, they were all the same)...

But that's super cool you got into both I didn't get into either

IMO Berkeley is generally better all around, and for business as well. UCLA is a fantastic school too. However, from personal experience it is much better to not live at home your first year or two so you can get the chance to be on your own and have the full college experience. I do get the standpoint from saving money, but the intangible value may be significantly higher. Think of the opportunity cost and weigh that. (Plus you get to live near SF)..

I have a friend who has lived at home through college and even in the beginning of his career and he never had the chance to make the mistakes and learn what it really meant to be an adult (and still is that way). I don't know your situation, but it may be something to consider.

You can always try to plan something for the weekends... some sort of activity that will keep you busy. And do it relatively early. It always helps me feel productive.

For me, it's going down to the market on Sunday mornings before all the tourists arrive. I generally get some fruit or flowers. It gets me up and about and I am good for the rest of the day.
