LATEST STUFF: 'Bowser's Villa' [PIANO] from Super Princess Peach

-----------------------------------------------------------

Hey all! I finally got into music production recently, and I thought I could share my projects with you guys. My new 'official' artistic alias is djRyoji, and you can find the Youtube channel through the video below!

Since I'm a beginner with DAWs and whatnot, for now my focus is making covers of 8-bit songs to practice and learn the ins and outs of Reaper, the one I'm using. As a starting point, I decided to take Gargoyle's Quest since I already arranged a bunch of songs (you can find them on site) and I'm familiar with the soundtrack. Here is my latest cover, 'Breager's Palace' (listed as 'King Breager's Castle on site if you want to see a reference):

I humbly recommend to also check out the rest, I'd appreciate it a lot ('Village' has brand new counterpoint!). For now I have few stuff, but I hope you like what you hear. Feedback and suggestions are welcome. :)

p.s. I also plan to make lots of other different things, not just covers, like 8-bit/16-bit, remixes, piano arrangements and own compositions to keep it interesting.

FAIRY TAIL - ハッピーのテーマ     [MUS]
Fairy Tail - Happy's Theme

Welcome to NSM's official Arrangement Project initiative. Past the break you will find it's specific rules and guidelines. Please read!

  • Initially, an AP will consist of all the soundtrack from the selected game. In order to close one AP, one of these three requirements shall be met: that 2 months without significant contributions (significant feedback or new arrangements) to the AP have past; that all the soundtrack has been arranged, or that the staff decides to close it for some reason.

  • After the AP is closed, the Updaters will discuss every sheet and give feedback accordingly so they can be accepted. Once all sheets are accepted and the update takes place, a new AP shall be started, not before. If anyone is interested in doing an arrangement project themselves, go ahead though, but it will not be treated as official.

  • Important: A common template will be offered and it is mandatory to use it in order for the sheet to be accepted. This will cut down any ambiguity between different sheets in terms of layout and stablish common sheet info for every single arrangement. Both Finale 2012 and Finale 2014 templates will be offered, but at least a .mus file is always required in case of using Finale 2014.

  • In the template all info will be provided except arranger name and song title. Regarding track names, official soundtrack names will prevail over any other naming. If there's no official tracklist, the most accurate title shall be chosen.

  • As most of the arrangements will need fixing after they are done, and in order to reduce the hassle of regenerating PDF's and MIDI's again after each update, please post only a .mus file (musx. optional). PDF's and MIDI's shall be created once the sheet is fully corrected and therefore, accepted.

- About Live K.K. songs: To keep the standards of the K.K. songs on site, for the Live versions it will be enough with the plain title, no "(Live)" after it. Aircheck and Music Box keep that though: "K.K. X (Aircheck)" / "K.K. X (Music Box)"

The PM AP has finally reached completion, congratulations! Consequently, this is a topic to discuss which game should be featured for the next Arrangement Project. Here's a breakdown of the steps we'll be following:
  • Every user shall nominate a single game so it is added to the poll. If possible, it'd be nice if you could explain why you chose that game, it could always convince other users to pick your option!
  • Once we reach 15 game nominations, the poll will open to voting. Every user can vote up to 3 options. Past 10 days, it will be closed, and the game with most votes will be the one chosen for the next AP. If there are more than one games with the same number of votes, a second round will take place with just those games.
  • Another topic will be created specifically for the AP in question.

Nominations will be added below:

- Xenoblade Chronicles (Maelstrom)
- The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap (NocturneOfShadow)
- Kirby Super Star Ultra (AwesomeYears)
- Mario Kart 8 (mariolegofan)
- Pokémon X & Pokémon Y (SlowPokemon)

Nintendo / Nintendo going mobile
March 18, 2015, 05:35:44 AM
While I think that franchises like WarioWare or touch-based games would work very well on mobiles, I'm still unsure on whether I like this or not. Most likely I'll personally stick with the dedicated game consoles anyway, so what has me really intrigued is the new "NX" platform Iwata talked about, is it going to be a new console, or maybe a Nintendo-made tablet-like system specifically for those mobile games? And are these games going to be available somehow for 3DS/Wii U?

What do you guys think about this? Would you like to see Mario on Android devices?

I don't believe we have one of these yet.

So, do you guys have some ideas or opinions on the next Zelda game?

I would like it to be a sequel to Skyward Sword and narrate all the events of the formation of the kingdom of Hyrule we know today.

I found this awesome artwork of what could be young Ganondorf and started making up lots of stories. Wouldn't it be cool if he appeared as young Ganondorf and acted like a rival of Link at first, but then becoming a serious threat to the land? Like being in a parallel quest in becoming the King of Evil guided by Koume and Kotake until finally confronting Link to see who will fulfill his objective? I've been always curious to know Ganondorf's story since he gave us that glimpse in Wind Waker.

I really hope we see something of this Zelda soon. The E3 trailer was absolutely stunning and I can't wait to see more!

Other thoughts?

"By now, it has been said many times that the Kremling King is long overdue for a Smash appearance, and this belief certainly shows in the rosters posted in SSB4 threads across the Internet. In fact, not only is K. Rool among the first characters to pop up on most newcomer lists (if not the first), the makers of any roster without K. Rool are often ridiculed or dismissed entirely. According to those who have delved into foreign Smash forums, K. Rool's popularity continues on overseas in both Japan and Europe, a feat very few characters have accomplished thus far. For a character whose last appearance was in a mediocre baseball spinoff in 2008, the fact that he remains so beloved is almost shocking...that is, until everything he would bring to the table in Smash is considered." - BKupa666 @ Smashboards

Hi all. We King K Rool supporters at Smashboards have started a kampaign to promote the Kremling King to be a playable karakter in the next installment of the Super Smash Bros. series, for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.

Famous videogame komposer Grant Kirkhope, the man behind the themes of Donkey Kong 64, has already re-tweeted this initiative to his great number of followers; and we've also let David Wise, komposer of the great Donkey Kong Country series soundtrack, know about it.

But we are aiming for more.

We need your help to gain momentum and sekure K Rool's rightful place in the Smash roster by re-tweeting and spreading the word here and there.

So please, if you have any interest in the karakter, want to know more about him, or directly want to support, please visit:

http://kremlingkampaign.wordpress.com/

Thanks for your support!

Nintendo / E3 2014

It's not that far away tbh. And after the Smash Direct, it's the next big Nintendo event.

I think we'll see a playable Smash Bros 3DS and character announcements (the great majority of veterans) plus 2 or 3 newcomers (Go K. Rool!) and a decent amount of unannounced Wii U and 3DS games, and of course, the first glimpse at Zelda U and Mario U.

Personally, I'd finally love to see a Starfox or a Metroid or Wii U, as well as maybe an F-Zero. More Yarn Yoshi, Fire Emblem x Shin Megami Tensei, Monolith's X, Hyrule Warriors as well as release dates would also be awesome!

Nintendo / Miyamoto's New IP
August 29, 2013, 01:52:18 PM
After playing Pikmin 3, I've grown curious on what could Miyamoto's new game be. Pikmin was his last masterpiece, but will his new game be as good as Pikmin? Could it be better than Mario himself?! Or a total disappointment (*cough*Wii Music*cough*)?

Nowadays creating something fresh and original like Pikmin back in 2001 is very very hard with all kinds of games out there.
However I know Miyamoto can do it, but I just can't wait to see what it is! Besides, almost everything Miyamoto does transforms into another of Nintendo's big franchises.

I just want to see something as new and original as Pikmin, but please, not another platform game... :P
Either way, I feel it's going to be big.

And the story seems interesting too. Yup, definitely day-1 purchase for me. ;D

Some days ago, Kingdom Hearts III, one of the most anticipated games in the series, was finally presented at Sony's conference at E3. The fact that it was coming to PS4 was obvious, but that was not all.

Later on, Kingdom Hearts III was also confirmed for Xbox One. What? Xbox? Doesn't make sense, right? Nintendo has 4 of 7 KH games on their consoles, and they all had surprisingly good sales, specially Kingdom Hearts 3D Dream Drop Distance, which is a prologue of the events of KH III.

Seeing that, you'd say: "Makes sense that KH III would also come too Wii U". But no. A Kingdom Hearts III version for Wii U is mysteriously absent, disappointing thousands of fans that were expecting to play in on their Wii U.

Square Enix is already working on Deus Ex Director's Cut and worked on Dragon Quest. Why no Kingdom Hearts III then? Maybe SE thinks Wii U hasn't got enough sales, but do you think that a version for Xbox One, after its underwhelming presentation, would have more sales than a Wii U version? Knowing KH 3D already hooked even more fans to the series and that they would buy it on Wii U? Makes no sense, right?

That's why petitions have emerged instantly after that for a Wii U version release. So please, even if you don't like KH, or you like it but plan to buy it on some other console, please sign these petitions to help us have this wonderful game for Wii U too.
