Ok.

Big time thanks, man.

I took off the requests for now. I'll try to fix them up before the next submittion period. I left these so that I won't be so discouraged that none of my submittions have been on the site for 3(+) submittion periods.
Just to give you a heads up, I might change the Album from Pokémon Snap if it sounds too wrong.
Let me know soon if it's good enough.  :P

Winter:

Someone is going to need to edit the MUS's to fit the formatting guidelines, they'll need Finale 2011.

JDMEK5:

Does it need to be Finale or Allegro? Or would any 2011 Finale product work?

Deku:

Album Theme: Something needs to be done about the overlapping hands from 8 onwards. If you just want it dropped down a couple of octaves, I can do that.

Windmillville: Accepted with minor changes.

Haunted Woods: I'll get there tomorrow.

Winter:

@JDMEK5: I believe they'll need Finale 2011 if they're going to edit the Mus file I made. If they make a new mus with your xml, then they can use their own version of Finale. I don't know about Allegro

JDMEK5:

@Deku: Ok. Please go ahead. I can't do it because as you know, I don't have finale (anything), and I don't know how to put a link in without the address.
One more thing, (sorry, it's a little off topic) "Angel Valley" in the Kirby Air Ride section, what exactly is that really supposed to sound like? I've played the game for ages and I've never heard that before.

JDMEK5:

@Winter: So, only Finale 2011 can edit already made .mus'?

Winter:

Yep. (At least the MUS I provided.)

Deku:

Haunted Woods & Album fixed and accepted.

I think I might try this one. It sounds pretty simple and straightforward with everything besides drums a honky-tonk piano.
Unfortunately, I don't have time now, but I'll reply here again when I do. (I also will not reply if someone beats me to it)

Just a small word for you Hayden (if I can call you that). I remember when I first signed up not that long ago, all the rules made me a small bit uncomfortable. But we're pretty casual here so as long as you treat others with respect and don't say anything racist, sexist, etc., there's no reason to have a constant paranoia of breaking rules.  ;) Close to everyone else here is really nice too so if you do say or do something small enough, they'll usually casually and simply (and yes, politely) correct you. If you want you can hold on to my account name so that if you have any questions, you can ask me. Oh, and by the way...

Welcome!  ;)  :D

Just to let you know, I took up the challenge and completed it. It's right here (http://www.ninsheetm.us/smf/index.php?topic=3069.0) along with my other arrangements so far. :P

Piano Arrangements / Re: JDMEK5's Arrangements

Maybe convert it to MusicXML, link us and I'll see how it works? It probably won't be perfect, but you never know.

Finale PrintMusic is only $119 last I checked (not nearly as much as Finale Full) and that offers more than the functionality you'd ever need for piano arrangements for the site. The instrument limit might stop some orchestral arrangements but it's not too restrictive if you ask me. Having Finale full is mainly for bragging rights, methinks. :P

Just one small question that doesn't really change my bias, but can it change clefs?

Just double checking that you know that I've already done the Desert theme.  :-\

They sounds all fine :D but in Toy Time Galaxy in measure 13 and 17 the bass is different like the rest of the 3 measures before it. Since that finale can open midi files :P. And do you have Mus files of those or missed I something in another topic I didn't read?
I also forgot to mention that I don't have any .mus formats for any of them except Toy Time. (which I can't edit now because my trial ran dry)

Piano Arrangements / Re: JDMEK5's Arrangements

They all sound good, but inherently no .mus was always going to be a problem. It won't be submitted to the site without it, and even if someone/s were nice enough to convert ALL those and others you're bound to make in the future, it really wouldn't be fair to them.

If you use something like Sibelius or MuseScore you might be able to convert it into MusicXML format, which would be easier to import. Converting from MIDI to MUS is really messy and only gives us notes. Rarely do key sigs, time changes, grace notes and any form of formatting, articulation or dynamics translate properly if at all.

Hope you work this out. :)
Thanks for this feedback. Now that I think about it, you've got a big point, and it wouldn't be fair to everyone else to convert my files. If I get the chance I'll get a finale product. (I'd better start saving  :D) What's really fortunate is that the program I use can export Midis AND MusicXMLs. MusicXMLs never crossed my mind because I always found them pretty messy, but if that works best I have no problems whatsoever.
(Just to let you know if you read this again, I had no idea what I was talking about because my program can't read XMLs)

I'm not exactly sure what you mean with measures 13 and 17, so maybe you could explain it a different way?  :D

I know none of these are .mus but I don't have anything Finale (Notation Composer instead {http://www.notation.com/NotationComposer.php}).

Deku:

Can you post PDFs?
Also, I didn't end up doing the last update, Nakah did.

JDMEK5:

I can convert any that I have to PDFs but I think I remember seeing somewhere that you had to zip them?...
Would that mean to just stick them in a compressed (zipped) folder before uploading to mediafire and so on?

Deku:

Disregard the zip thingy; that's for people who are converting songs that are already on the site to PDF.

JDMEK5:

All right then. As you can see I've updated all of the above to show midi, xml, and pdf.
I also exchanged the Boss Race from Diddy Kong Racing for Walking The Plains from New Super Mario Bros. for two reasons.
Number 1, Walking The Plains was a fulfilled request,
and number 2, the Boss Race was just too hard. I'll send it back once I simplify it a little... (ok, a lot)

Deku:

Walking the Plains: The left hand sounds a little weird. I think you'd be better off putting the bass guitar part for most of it (6 onwards). Also, not all the notes have harmonies beneath them.

Battle: 23-30, the left hand needs some fixin' up. And some other small places, but they aren't much of an issue.

Desert: The bass changes a fair bit (note-wise) more in the original than in the sheet, so that needs adjusting. And I think a couple of the right hand notes may be a bit off.

I'll do your Desert one. Just give me some time and I'll try to make it as accurate and playable as possible. It'll come in midi. Let the dudes up there know I'm doing this one.

Fulfilled requests / [Wii] Super Mario Galaxy - "Flying Mario"
« on: February 09, 2011, 10:06:34 PM »
Completed and on site

Somebody should do the red star (flying mario) theme from galaxy (1). I have a little tiny piece of a small part that I can give to anyone willing to take on the challenge. It would be an midi, and I need it back in midi.
