Been dormant for a while now. But the waves are beginning to kick once again. Almost as if it won't be much longer till the reawakening...

Sorry I've been out so long! It's starting to look really nice! Unfortunately, as with many other pieces that use a piano melody, this one is tough for reading extra dissonance (is it there, is it not, etc). That being said, what you have now is harmonically correct, and has the same structure and build now as the original. Two things of which I believe are of crucial importance. My last real thought is if you can't possibly resize it around some to avoid having only one staff on the last page.

Quote from: E. Gadd Industries on August 31, 2017, 05:48:51 PMThat's where I'm hearing it from. It just plays an octave higher?
Maybe you're thinking measure 41. That's where the violin hits the Bb. Measure 40 features primarily a D though. No Bb.

Quote from: E. Gadd Industries on August 31, 2017, 05:48:51 PMWhat a way to say that XD I think I did what you were meaning? I mean, I took that out, but I didn't know if there were other implications in this or not.
It certainly looks better now.

Quote from: E. Gadd Industries on August 31, 2017, 05:48:51 PMYeahhhh Idk why the video does that, but the song ends where I end it, and then (Idk why it does this) the song loops to the beginning and gets about halfway through and jumps to some random song from in-game. But I didn't know how to notate that, so I just left it as though you repeat from the beginning and play it through again.
Huh. That's new. Well yeah I mean, I'm content with how you have it then. I see absolutely no need for anything more.

Quote from: E. Gadd Industries on August 31, 2017, 05:48:51 PMI did that, but I had difficulty hearing this ascension. I did make a few changes, but I'm guessing there's something more here that I'm not catching.
What you have now looks good. Pitches and all.

Quote from: JDMEK5 on August 31, 2017, 10:49:17 AMIt's actually the chord in 63 that's different, dropping to an Ab tonality. Just take your A naturals and flatten them and you'll immediately see what I'm talking about. That being said, I'm not guaranteeing those are the right notes just by adding a flat; I'm just pointing you in the right direction.
I'm not sure just how drunk I was when I typed this out. The harmonies you have now in the entire thing are good. Sorry about that.

I'd still like to get another updater's opinion on this one of course, largely in part because pitch checking isn't exactly my forte (pun intended), and a double check would be good.

But nicely done!

Revised with Latios for enharmonic spellings and playability. Clearer directions included.

Latios and I ran through this one, making edits and finding solutions to the number of issues that still remained. Here's the file we finished with: https://www.dropbox.com/s/h09v08vzhdaz6zc/The%20Legend%20of%20Zelda%20Four%20Swords%20Adventures%20-%20Main%20ThemeJD5.mus?dl=0

And here's what we did:
-Cleaned m. 11-
-Removed conflicting notes in LH of measures 7-9.
-Used half notes instead of tied quarters in RH of measures 6-9.
-Slid notes around and fused layers in m. 14-20.
-Moved LH up an octave in m. 11-21. Removed low C from RH m. 11 according to subsequent conflict.
-Filled in drone G in LH measure 10.
-Cleaned and fixed double flats in m. 24-27.
-Removed courtesy accidentals from LH m.30.
-Reworked measures 23-29 to keep them consistent with the rest of the score, playble, and clean.
-Edited composer info
-Optimized pedal markings
-Lowered top system on page 2 to make more space where it really counts.

If you're cool with these changes and the file we have now, update your links and say so and it's good to go.

^The ultimate rule I've always observed is purely mathematical. The standards exist, yes, but if there's a good reason for a different subdivision in the tempo marking, and it's mathematically accurate, then by all means. I know I've also seen examples of stranger things.

Just concerning the last fanfare there, how's this:

Feedback for you!

-Spacing is all over. More between staves within systems, less between systems. Plz
-Pedal markings aren't going all the way to the end. Is this deliberate?
-LH: You're using a lot of open 5ths and 4ths when I'm hearing more disonant intervals. I'd suggest either fill the chords out or opt for the 3rds and 6ths when you can instead of the perfect intervals. That being said, this next comment may change the way you play this game.
-Watch for overlapping hands. It's kind of.. happening everywhere. You're gonna have to deal with this somehow.
-Similarly, if you want the last D in the LH at the very end (which I love btw), I would drop it from the RH. Don't have it tied over like the rest of the chord. Will it look funny? Potentially. But it's also gonna give the best results imo.
